First timer and visited Coolhaus on 12/2/18. I'm rating a 3 star only because customer service was flat out disappointing. The young ladies just don't greet you or have the patience, or help out each other. The little guy in front me asked for a milkshake and the young lady ask in a rude way what cookie and ice cream flavor he wanted. I notice and was in disbelief in how she asked, i didn't step in only because parent wasn't around and i didn't want to cause a scene. I only remained there because I wanted to taste the hype about the ice cream. As the young boy was being help, two minutes had gone by and finally i was helped by the cashier, I was not greeted, she only said next. I ordered a scoop of strawberries & cream, and it was so GOOD! It was so creamy and soft, just the way I love it. I'll probably go back again and I hope they have different flavors to try. read more

This is definitely above average ice cream and they have some pretty cool flavors like Daddy's Secret Stash with scotch and Makers with whiskey. The server working today 9/18 was very generous with her scooping and we deeply appreciate it. After a few samples, we settled on the Coffee Oreo and the Strawberry cream. Both were solid. Coolhaus has a roving ice cream truck but this location is inside the Farmers Market just a few blocks south of Elm Street, which is also a pretty cool place to grab lunch or a tchotchke. Come down and check it out and if you've been to the shaved ice place here, friend me with some feedback. read more

On a bright, sunny, hot day.. what better way to cool down than with fresh, creamy, sweet ice cream in between two fresh softly baked cookies.. talk about overly satisfying!!! I love the convenience of the food truck because it's centrally located from me. During these corona times, it's great to see the trucks back at Klyde Warren Park & I am elated to get my quick fix. I tried the snickerdoodle with cookies and cream ice cream sandwich today & it did NOT disappoint. It also didn't make it very far.. was trying to savor it until I reached my next stop but... FAIL. read more

Located in the market. I've cream is okay. Have had both the strawberry and the chocolate chip cookie dough which was more cookie dough bits than ice cream. It didn't even feel like I was eating ice cream, just a bowl of cookie dough. The strawberry was good though, not overly sweet. Average prices. There are a few parking spots outside and paid parking in the lot on the other side. It can get pretty full on the weekends but not too bad during the week. read more

Service: 4/5 The girl was sweet, and she tried to answer my questions/requests, but she was kind of quiet and it was hard to hear what she was explaining. But she still dealt with my many questions, and was willing to let us sample things. Food: 3/5 Honestly, I would never get this again unless I was literally craving something incredibly sweet. The ice cream flavors are just ok -- if you're going to go for wacky flavors like Chicken and Waffles, or Maker's Mark, you better have good quality flavors and ice cream. I got the nutella cookie and the chicken and waffles ice cream. Neither was spectacular - just good for a sweet tooth. Also for the price, it was a little expensive. I'd like to try other things, but in general I was also underwhelmed by the other flavors like Red Velvet (which is just like normal vanilla with some crumbles of red velvet on top). Location: 3/5 Really small stall in the Farmer's Market area, not a very welcoming space, everything seems to be a little crammed in the area. (Especially compared to the macaron place across from it.) tl;dr - other great options for desserts at the farmer's market (there's a stall in the actual market area with some amazing banana pudding). read more

Food truck review. I don't get it. Architecturally inspired ice cream? I was expecting some interesting structural dance being performed by the concoction of cookie and ice cream that is handed to me but sadly it's just a ice cream sandwich. It's not bad mind you but if you sell it a certain way at least don't half ass it right? I guess if it's a hot day and I want ice cream I'll go get it here because it's hard to screw up a ice cream sandwich but I'm a little jilted by the whole architecture thing. Missed opportunity! read more

If you have not had a Coolhaus ice cream sandwich you have NOT had an ice cream sandwich. Until recently these "architecturally-inspired, gourmet desserts" could only be experienced from the Coolhaus food truck. Recently they opened up a brick & mortar location inside Shed 2 (The Market) at the Dallas Farmers Market. Having stopped by on a couple of occasions I am pleased to report it's the same great ice cream and cookies. My favorite is to have the Strawberries & Cream ice cream sandwiched between Coconut Almond Chip cookies (and in case you were wondering, the cookie is gluten free). If that's too boring for you, feel free to try some of their more interesting ice cream flavors which include 'Pancakes & Syrup', 'Netflix Ice Cream', 'Whiskey Luck Charms' and 'Vegan Nutella' to name a few. Note, many of their flavors are available seasonally. The new location is already quite popular (especially on the weekends) and as the weather continues to warm up I expect it will grow even more. Great tasting ice cream and cookies in a great location. read more

What we love about Coolhaus, apart from its great location at the super fun Dallas Farmers Market, and their delicious handcrafted ice cream, and all the variety of flavors, and the fresh-baked cookies, is the option to get the ice cream in a cookie cup!! :) Why dip your cookies in milk when you can wait for your ice cream to melt into them? Those cookie cups really make CoolHaus stand out for us, and it's why this place has become a destination ice cream shop for us. We had a scoop of cookies and cream ice cream in a snickerdoodle cup that was just the right mix of creamy cookie-studded ice cream and spicy snickerdoodle. The Guiness ice cream had a lovely roasted flavor that paired beautifully with the chocolate chip cookie cup. 5 super cool indulgent stars! read more

The cookie was delicious. I got the snickerdoodle and strawberry. It tasted natural and creamy. The only reason I give four stars is because the service was not excellent and it was a bit expensive. La galleta era rica. Ordené este snickerdoodle y nieve de fresa. La única razón por la cual le doy cuatro estrellas es porque el servicio era corriente y el precio estaba un poquito alto. read more

Coolhaus - a hand holding a cookie and ice cream sandwich - Desserts Near Me - Dallas, Texas

This place is sooo gooooood. Recently had the Coolhaus truck and found their actually location located in the farmers market. This place is awesome because it has even more flavors! Plus the works are super nice here and let you sample a few more flavors! So many unique and tasty flavors! After trying almost all the flavors, I settled with green tea because it's not sometime I can get just anywhere. One thing that caught my eye was that they had a kombucha float. Sounds very interesting but I was too scared to try lol. But I do love kombucha. Overall I would recommend to anyone who's in the mood for ice cream and willing to try unique flavors. They also have classics flavors of course but be sure to keep checking in monthly because I believe the flavors rotate. read more

Didn't realize prioritizing customers in a line would be trivial, but I was treated as though my business meant nothing to the staff here. I was "next in line" 3 times and each time a customer walked up with a water bottle in hand they were taken care of before me. After the second time it happened, the girl who was getting the water bottle apologized as she knew I'd already been standing there for quite some time and told me I could go ahead. The pink-haired cashier then told me she would be taking care of the other girl first. After being dismissed three times, I decided it wasn't worth the purchase. I won't be purchasing ice cream here- probably not even at another location. I'd definitely come back here if I ever wanted a water bottle though. read more

This is an ice cream place. You can either choose to eat that ice cream by itself, or you can choose to have a sandwich made with cookies and ice cream, or you can have a bowl. They have a variety of unique flavors. On this location I had the snickerdoodle cookie sandwich with the homerun flavored ice cream. The homerun flavor had peanuts, caramel and popcorn in it, it was very delicious. It is not too pricey I bought 2 of these and I believe The price was about 12 bucks. read more

They just lost me. It's 90+ outside and the farmers market is jumping because it's the weekend. I wait in line patiently. There's finally only one party in front of me. There have been two cashiers the entire time but one was too busy. Miraculously enough, when a lady of a different hue behind me shows up the cashier is activated and ready to serve. COMPLETELY disregarding my presence she serves the lady behind me because she only has water. Only then she looked at me. I don't care. I'm also hot and have been waiting. Had she asked me if I minded, perhaps I wouldn't have been so turned off. I immediately left the line and spent my money elsewhere in the market. What you won't do is play me when I'm ready to give you money. read more

4 out of 5, as far as quality. Thai tea was a unique flavor and was very good, but the service here left something to be desired. #31IceCreamShopsIn31Days #NationalIceCreamMonth read more

This place is located inside the Dallas farmers market. I give them four stars for uniqueness on cookie/ice cream flavors. The first time I came, they had chicken and waffles flavored ice cream and cookies! I only sampled the chicken and waffles ice cream, it had hints of maple and tiny pieces of chicken skin in it! It was oddly delicious! I also asked if their cookies were fresh, the two employees working that day gave different answers at the exact same time. One said yes, the other side no! The answer is, the cookies are frozen and they take them out as needed. The ice cream freezer might not have been working that well when I came today, because they had huge bags of ice on top of the ice cream. This did not look very appealing to me because I didn't really want the bags of ice touching my ice cream! They had fun ice cream flavors like: avocado, red velvet, campfire s'mores, etc. I ordered a cookie ice cream sandwich with campfire Smore's ice cream and two Smore's cookies (with tax almost $6). My cookie/ice cream selection was pretty tasty. To me it tasted nothing like Smore's but it was still good! The ice cream tasted a lot like snickerdoodle, it had a strong cinnamon-like flavor. The cookies just tasted like chocolate chip, I didn't taste anything reminiscent of Smore's. I always ask if the cookies are soft and the employee said yes. While the cookies were soft, they were also slightly dry. Maybe I didn't come on a day they had just taken them out of the freezer? Regardless, my sandwich was pretty good and I would be open to trying this place again! read more

Stopped in because it offered cool options for ice cream sandwich. The fruity pebble seemed pretty unique. Unfortunately it was more on the side of a rice Krispy. With no crisp or crunch. Ice cream was good. The paper they lined the container to house the sandwich disintegrated as I was eating the dripping sandwich with a spoon. I had to pick out the paper pieces. read more

I got the ice cream cookie sandwich with the sugar/sprinkle cookies with the vanilla bean ice cream and it was incredible. Truly, one of the best desserts I've ever had. Unfortunately the only let down of this dessert experience was the people behind the counter. I had told them that I nor the person I was with had ever been there before and neither of the workers said anything. One of them just sat on the floor texting while the other one was helping us. The one helping us did a decent job but it took us about 10 minutes to get what we ordered (an ice cream cookie sandwich and a milkshake). Not to mention, we were the only people in line. If the other employee would have helped then it would have probably cut down the time we waited. Even though the dessert was great, I'd probably choose somewhere new before I went back because of the poor customer service. read more

This was our favorite food truck at Klyde Warren Park. Most places don't get the cookie part right. This place did. It was a sturdy but chewy cookie surrounding the ice cream. The gluten free cookie was great. The kids enjoyed the fruity pebbles cookie. There are many flavors to satisfy both kids and adults. And it came out quickly. It's a great snack that is worth the calories. read more

Damn good! Let me just say this. Key Lime Pie MILKSHAKE. YASSS! I think it was one of the best milkshakes i've ever had. So yes, give it a shot. You will come back and thank me for it. I didn't mess around with adding a cookie to the mix, I just ate it before I devoured my milkshake. The ginger cookie was pretty bomb. I paid about $8-9ish. So yeah it's a bit steep for a milkshake but man was it worth it. read more

Great ice cream but the sandwich isn't for me. I feel the cookie overpowers the ice cream. I had the double chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream. I will have the gingerbread next time if it's still available. read more

Got the double cookie Sandwich and the ice cream scoop was so little. For ten bucks, would expect a healthy scoop. Ice cream was good.

DANK ALERT!!!! This is real life embodiment of what I envision a candy land heaven being. I ordered a chocolate chip and brownie cookie with beer & pretzels ice cream and subsequently had my mind blown. Not only did I want to shove the whole thing in my mouth, but I didn't have to worry about a paper napkin holding it together and getting soggy due to the rice paper. ALWAYS going to go here. Top notch 10/10. read more

You must try the red velvet. It was super yummy! Love that they are located in the farmers market.

We booked their dessert truck for my daughter's beach wedding and it was a big hit! Bianca made it so easy and accommodated our needs even when we made changes in time two days before!
