It is time to update my 6 year old review! Le Bon Temps is still the only place in DFW that you can get as close as to having beignets just like NOLA. Fresh, pillowy, powdered sugar coated with a slight crunch every bite. A cute little store along the craziness of Deep Ellum. Always great costumer service that really goes a long way especially with somebody undecided like me. This shop is a definite stop whenever you are in the area.
Decent for beignets from the French quarter. I'm from Louisiana so I'm picky, but this was decent. I didn't expect a home run, but I did get a good experience. The little place was nice. You order inside then you can pick up at the window. It's fun to see them doing the cooking.
First off, the adorable pink door opens and a delicious entrancing scent of fried dough and sugar escapes from the little kitchen. You step inside to order and get the delight of watching them making the beginets fresh. The people are friendly and so knowledgeable of the area they will give you other gems to check out in tbe area. I will say people think Deep Ellum is dangerous at night but I find it alive with e edgy and watchful eyes from everyone around making sure you aren't gonna be accosted. We grabbed an order of six traditional covered in powdered sugar, and holy smokes if id known how much bigger things were in Texas I might have chosen a 3 pack instead. Huge, hot. And fresh they are the most delicious sweet treat any time.
I was so greedy that I forgot to take a picture of my beignets. I was too amazed by the size. They were made fresh and pilled high with powdered sugar. One bite and I was wearing most of it. The dough was fluffy and light, but mine was slightly underdone. All in all great treat after exploring the city.
So happy to see a little bit of New Orleans here in Dallas. The beignets are sooo delish. Fresh crispy fluffy and amazing. I also tried the strawberry matcha with coconut milk it was delish with the fresh strawberries. Can't wait to be back
From the employees, to the food, 10/10! Came here after going to all good cafe next door. You order on the inside. It's small and quaint. The workers are so nice and the beignets are nice in size. $13 for 6. They also have churro ones 2 for $9. But they're super fluffy. You can see everything being made and everything is got and fresh, cooked to order. Would definitely return
Hot and fresh beignets! They are very delicious and fluffy, topped with lots and lots of powdered sugar. The nice fried outside paired with the fluffy inside and sweet powdered sugar is an amazing combination. There are some tables outside but you can also eat them standing. Just be careful of the loads of powdered sugar!
These weren't anything special - a donut would've been better. There isn't space to sit inside, but there are a few tables outside. Service is fast.

Crispy outside, soft pillow center and covered in a cinnamon bun cream and powder. Each beignet is made fresh so it will take a few minutes but it's worth the wait! There is only a few outside table options but they are the cutest pink tables.

Le Bon Temps Beignets is a total gem! The beignets are made fresh to order--hot, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. Every bite tastes just like, if not better than, Café du Monde in New Orleans. You can't beat that fresh-out-of-the-fryer goodness! While I wouldn't personally visit late at night because of the location, it's 100% worth stopping by during the day or early evening. If you're a beignet lover, this place is an absolute must-try. I'll definitely be coming back for more!
Whilst in Deep Ellum, we came across this small French bakery shop specializing in Beignets. We bought 3 Beignets and had to wait 15 mins for them to be fried. They tasted crispy on the outside and were soft in the inside made sweet by the generous amount of powder sugar sprinkled all over them. They tasted ok but best eaten fresh.
We need more of these shops in DFW! I love their concept. It's a very small shop that serves coffee, beignets and ice cream. There isn't much of a seating area except for 2 small tables outside. The cashier's were super nice and definitely uphold us the beignet ice cream sandwich and we chose vanilla ice cream. It was amazing! The beignet was hot and they dusted powdered sugar on top..yum! We also got a latte which added a nice touch to our dessert. Since it's located in Deep Ellum, they do not have an assigned parking spot and it's nice to walk around the area with your treat. 10/10!!!
I stopped by Le Bon Temps and ordered the beignets, which came with three, along with an Americano coffee. The first thing I noticed was the ambiance. It had a nice, warm, and welcoming feel, which made it a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy a quick treat. The staff was attentive and took my order pretty quickly, which I appreciated. My Americano came out hot and had a really good bold flavor. I love adding cream to my coffee, and once I did, it balanced out that strong kick perfectly. The beignets were made fresh to order and took about 7 minutes to come out. They were hot, soft, and very fluffy, almost more similar to a donut than a traditional beignet. Since most of my beignet experience comes from New Orleans, Louisiana, I definitely had a different texture in mind going in. I personally wish they had been a little crispier, especially around the edges, but they were still decent and enjoyable. Overall, I had a good experience. Between the welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, good coffee, and fresh beignets, I would definitely try Le Bon Temps again without hesitation. read more
You order inside the store, and when it's ready they call out your name from the window. There wasn't much seating, just a few tables and chairs in a small patio in the front. Employees were direct and fast. Ordered 3 of the classic beignets, they were pretty good. Would maybe go again if I was in the area but I wouldn't seek it out. There also wasn't much parking nearby and I got a ticket from parking in a nearby lot. read more
All 3 stars for the beignets alone! With this Texas heat, I wish they have a bigger spot to have an inside seating area. As a big fan of beignets, I can really say that these pillowy goodness is very good having outside of New Orleans. It's something I'd like to comeback to but the parking is a bit of a challenge especially during weekends. Otherwise, I'd be here everyday if distance and parking is t really an issue. read more

the beignets were standard, they were okay. there were only 2 people working on a saturday. the girl taking our order had an attitude, but the beignets came out warm and well presented. but it is way too overpriced for what it is. the berry mix was just frozen fruits microwaved with whip cream. the coffee and matcha are both terrific read more
This place was unfortunately pretty disappointing. The service was fine, though it took a while for our order to come out. The ambiance was very cute with some outdoor seating. The beignets, however, were not the best. They had a nice crisp on the outside and plenty of powdered sugar, but the inside felt a bit underdone or overproofed, as it had an almost fermented taste. Super disappointed in this place :( The beignets were unfortunately inedible. It tasted like the dough was extremely overproofed. They were super acidic and fermented in taste and I could only muster a few bites before throwing them out. The dough itself was also very tough and thick with a crunchy outside, nothing like a beignet is supposed to be. The place itself is cute and they have good flavor options but they really need to work on the dough. Not sure if I just got a bad batch but I won't be back to try again. After trying out local BBQ place we spotted a little Beignets shop and ordered 6, one for everyone in our party. Served right out the cooker and covered with powder sugar they are a real treat. Of course those with dark clothing have to be careful not to take home the powdery sweetness all over their attire. The shop also offers more than Beignets, drinks and ice cream. There were a few little tables outside to enjoy the warm fall day. After ordering our Beignets with the staff member they were ready quickly and perfectly prepared. read more
Ok, ok this is not NOLA by any means!! However it's a cute little spot to at least have a dessert and some coffee and their neighbors are the cutest plant shop ever!! Go through the door and order inside. Come outside and pick up your order at the window. There's a small cute patio with about 3 tables for seating if you can take your time and enjoy the walks of life that pass by in Deep Ellum. Ok now the reason you're here reading... yes to coffee and the patio. But unfortunately not such a fan of the beignets. They are super heavy and doughy. Not at all what I expected. Luckily they are super affordable and I didn't feel too terrible not eating them. My kiddo added Nutella to hers and she ate a whole one, she seemed pleased with her decision. Great beignets! Some of the most authentic beignets in Dallas. Then you have the option to add creative flavors! No place to sit inside, but there are usually chairs outside. read more
Overall, I was disappointed by these beignets. I wanted to really like them but felt that they tasted a little plain overall and should have had more flavor. I did not feel that these were worth waiting for or trying again. read more

We were in the area for dinner and noticed this little shop, across the street. My partner is from Louisiana and he was excited to try this place, as was I. When we first walked up to the shop, it looked like you ordered at the window, but that's for pickup. You have to walk into the shop to place your order. It was cramped, but such a cute little shop at the same time. The menu was simple and easy to understand, most items were self-explanatory. I was impressed that she made the beignets, as they were being ordered. The wait was long but worth it. We ordered the cinnamon sugar beignets and they came with a drizzle of caramel, they were divine and tasted like New Orleans. As someone said, these are very messy. If you're eating there, make sure you get a knife and fork, if not, you'll have a mess on your hands. They were perfect!! read more

The beignets were very dense and almost roll-like a lot more hearty than typical ones. I liked them. My friends thought they were too bready but I'd honestly eat them with breakfast or make a breakfast sandwich with them. read more
What a cute hole in the wall dessert shop! My girlfriend and I were driving by and we saw a line out of here and saw that it was beignets which we had never had! We were so glad we stopped and parking in the free parking infront and got 2 to try! The staff was cute and offered to take out picture to remember the moment! read more

i visited le bon temps twice. the first time the coffee was so good, i wanted to visit again. second time, the coffee is kinda missing something the service is as to be expected in a cafe; nice but calm. ambiance is chill. there are tables & chairs on the sidewalk. now onto the drinks & bites : i got a pistachio milk latte with caramel and the mini beignets. last time i got the churro beignets and they were stellar! read more

MEH!! I'm a huge fan of beignets but I'm not a beignet snob. Meaning, I don't compare non New Orleans establishments to New Orleans because why would i set myself up for disappointment like that? With that being said, these beignets were a no for me. They have the look and texture down, but where is the taste?? There is none! They were hot and fresh and I was so excited to take the first bite, I even did a little happy dance. They tasted like yeast and confectioners sugar. I dipped them in the vanilla glaze, the taste turned to sweet yeast. The reason I'm giving them 3 stars is mainly because of the customer service. The ladies that served me were pleasant, friendly, and recommended lots of options. I also had a vanilla cinnamon latte that was delicious. I'll go back for the coffee, but they'll have to hold me hostage and force beignets down my throat if they ever want me to try those again. read more

We came here after dinner looking for a quick dessert, but unfortunately ended up having g to wait almost an hour before our order was made. Most likely the order got mixed up since we saw several people order after us and still get theirs before us. The man running the counter was kind enough to give us some extra samples for our wait, which we did appreciate. Overall the food quality wasn't bad, but ofc not worth the wait that we had - hopefully this was an atypical experience. read more

Being a Louisianan myself- I absolutely loved ! The beignets and iced coffee were super yummy ! It's more of a grab and go type of place because there is no seating inside (it's very small inside) and there is some seating outside. It felt very much like Louisiana vibes. Easily the best I have found in the area and it was pretty quick in terms of turn around time to receive my coffee and beignets! read more
