First off, the adorable pink door opens and a delicious entrancing scent of fried dough and sugar escapes from the little kitchen. You step inside to order and get the delight of watching them making the beginets fresh. The people are friendly and so knowledgeable of the area they will give you other gems to check out in tbe area. I will say people think Deep Ellum is dangerous at night but I find it alive with e edgy and watchful eyes from everyone around making sure you aren't gonna be accosted. We grabbed an order of six traditional covered in powdered sugar, and holy smokes if id known how much bigger things were in Texas I might have chosen a 3 pack instead. Huge, hot. And fresh they are the most delicious sweet treat any time. read more

From the employees, to the food, 10/10! Came here after going to all good cafe next door. You order on the inside. It's small and quaint. The workers are so nice and the beignets are nice in size. $13 for 6. They also have churro ones 2 for $9. But they're super fluffy. You can see everything being made and everything is got and fresh, cooked to order. Would definitely return read more

Hot and fresh beignets! They are very delicious and fluffy, topped with lots and lots of powdered sugar. The nice fried outside paired with the fluffy inside and sweet powdered sugar is an amazing combination. There are some tables outside but you can also eat them standing. Just be careful of the loads of powdered sugar! read more

I was so greedy that I forgot to take a picture of my beignets. I was too amazed by the size. They were made fresh and pilled high with powdered sugar. One bite and I was wearing most of it. This beignets spot is tucked right in the heart of Deep Ellum. Although, I would normally say never mess with a classic beignet, this cinnamon bun beignet was easily the best thing I ate in Dallas. Crispy outside, soft pillow center and covered in a cinnamon bun cream and powder. Each beignet is made fresh so it will take a few minutes but it's worth the wait! There is only a few outside table options but they are the cutest pink tables. read more

This review is only about the beignet's. They tasted like French bread with powdered sugar. Yeasty dense bread. This is not at all a traditional beignet. It's not light, fluffy or melt in your mouth beignet. It's not disgusting or anything but it's different & really unexpected. The place is small and cute with an outdoor seating area. Whilst in Deep Ellum, we came across this small French bakery shop specializing in Beignets. We bought 3 Beignets and had to wait 15 mins for them to be fried. They tasted crispy on the outside and were soft in the inside made sweet by the generous amount of powder sugar sprinkled all over them. They tasted ok but best eaten fresh. read more

We need more of these shops in DFW! I love their concept. It's a very small shop that serves coffee, beignets and ice cream. There isn't much of a seating area except for 2 small tables outside. The cashier's were super nice and definitely uphold us the beignet ice cream sandwich and we chose vanilla ice cream. It was amazing! The beignet was hot and they dusted powdered sugar on top..yum! We also got a latte which added a nice touch to our dessert. Since it's located in Deep Ellum, they do not have an assigned parking spot and it's nice to walk around the area with your treat. 10/10!!! read more

Super disappointed in this place :( The beignets were unfortunately inedible. It tasted like the dough was extremely overproofed. They were super acidic and fermented in taste and I could only muster a few bites before throwing them out. The dough itself was also very tough and thick with a crunchy outside, nothing like a beignet is supposed to be. The place itself is cute and they have good flavor options but they really need to work on the dough. Not sure if I just got a bad batch but I won't be back to try again. After trying out local BBQ place we spotted a little Beignets shop and ordered 6, one for everyone in our party. Served right out the cooker and covered with powder sugar they are a real treat. Of course those with dark clothing have to be careful not to take home the powdery sweetness all over their attire. The shop also offers more than Beignets, drinks and ice cream. Ok, ok this is not NOLA by any means!! However it's a cute little spot to at least have a dessert and some coffee and their neighbors are the cutest plant shop ever!! Go through the door and order inside. Come outside and pick up your order at the window. There's a small cute patio with about 3 tables for seating if you can take your time and enjoy the walks of life that pass by in Deep Ellum. Ok now the reason you're here reading... yes to coffee and the patio. But unfortunately not such a fan of the beignets. They are super heavy and doughy. Not at all what I expected. Luckily they are super affordable and I didn't feel too terrible not eating them. My kiddo added Nutella to hers and she ate a whole one, she seemed pleased with her decision. We were in the area for dinner and noticed this little shop, across the street. My partner is from Louisiana and he was excited to try this place, as was I. When we first walked up to the shop, it looked like you ordered at the window, but that's for pickup. You have to walk into the shop to place your order. It was cramped, but such a cute little shop at the same time. The menu was simple and easy to understand, most items were self-explanatory. I was impressed that she made the beignets, as they were being ordered. The wait was long but worth it. We ordered the cinnamon sugar beignets and they came with a drizzle of caramel, they were divine and tasted like New Orleans. As someone said, these are very messy. We will not be returning to Le Bon Temps. While we have enjoyed their beignets over the years, we were really disappointed that the guy who took our order this weekend very quickly added a 20% tip and closed out the purchase, hoping we wouldn't notice. Although it' was only a few dollars, that is so shady! It's not even a full service place. You order at a counter and pick it up before leaving the establishment. They've lost our future business. read more

I found this place almost 3 years ago by accident & i fell in love with it, super cute vibe, its close to me, & super friendly employees. Today i recommended it to my coworker/ friend and was left completely embarrassed. He went in with his bf & they were treated very rudely , were scoffed at for asking simple questions like "do you guys have drink carriers". Im not sure who attended them supposedly it was the manager but based on the lack of professionalism and terms she was using i doubt it. No solution was offered and she said "my friend gave her a bad vibe & her employee was just matching energy" & the cherry on top was receiving the incorrect order.i would expect this lvl of service at a McDonald's not at a cafe where you're paying 10 dollars for a latte. I truly do hope we hear back to rectify this situation, obviously loyalty and positive word of mouth dosent matter to this company. Be weary of whos working if you go in as your experience will vary greatly depending on the staff. read more

Most likely the order got mixed up since we saw several people order after us and still get theirs before us. The man running the counter was kind enough to give us some extra samples for our wait, which we did appreciate. MEH!! I'm a huge fan of beignets but I'm not a beignet snob. Meaning, I don't compare non New Orleans establishments to New Orleans because why would i set myself up for disappointment like that? With that being said, these beignets were a no for me. They have the look and texture down, but where is the taste?? There is none! They were hot and fresh and I was so excited to take the first bite, I even did a little happy dance. They tasted like yeast and confectioners sugar. I dipped them in the vanilla glaze, the taste turned to sweet yeast. The reason I'm giving them 3 stars is mainly because of the customer service. The ladies that served me were pleasant, friendly, and recommended lots of options. I also had a vanilla cinnamon latte that was delicious. I'll go back for the coffee, but they'll have to hold me hostage and force beignets down my throat if they ever want me to try those again. read more

Being a Louisianan myself- I absolutely loved ! The beignets and iced coffee were super yummy ! It's more of a grab and go type of place because there is no seating inside (it's very small inside) and there is some seating outside. It felt very much like Louisiana vibes. Easily the best I have found in the area and it was pretty quick in terms of turn around time to receive my coffee and beignets! read more

I really hate leaving one star ratings, but I did not want others to be let down like my husband and I were. While this is a very cute shop, these are not beignets that are being sold here... to be honest they aren't even doughnuts!!! These literally taste like undercooked yeast rolls, with powdered sugar. Very VERY disappointing. I have been eyeballing this place for a few months now, just to get here and take a bite of this powdered dinner roll! I wasn't sure if I should even finish the rest because it seemed undone. Please be aware... don't place your expectations as high as we did, you'll likely only set yourself up for disappointment. Its a small little venue. It's not meant for inside consumption, since there are no tables and only two chairs to wait for your order. I wanted something a little different so I went with one of the stuffed beignets. You have to get two per order and you can't mix and match the flavors. It makes sense production wise but I would have liked to have some variety. These stuffed beignets are not like cafe du monde. If anything, they remind me of a crumpet or a sopapilla. They are much more dense and wetter than I was expecting. I prefer my desserts to lean more towards the wetter side than dry side, but certain someone else may not be pleased. The first thing that stood out to me was how these things aren't over the top sugary in taste. They douse the top in powdered sugar, yet it felt fine. Your body is still gonna get wrecked blood sugar wise, but it was enjoyable eating these things the whole way through. The caramel that came in mind was the right amount to feel like it was purposeful but over oozing out of the seams. Overall this is a nice addition to the dessert options in deep ellum. It's not the most convenient, but that may be a good thing depending on the crowds in that area. Ill be curious how their classic beignets and other options taste. read more

The cookies they had on the day we went were: chocolate chip, double chocolate, confetti, Reese's, salt & sugar nutella, snickerdoodle, fruity pebbles, gluten-free coconut almond chip, and vegan ginger molasses. The ice cream flavors they had on the day we went were: vanilla, salted chocolate chunk, mint chip, strawberries & cream, dad's secret stash, coffee oreo, makers mark manhattan, cookies & cream, and mango sorbet. There is plenty of seating around the park. The ice cream was creamy, not overly sweet, smooth, and well blended. The flavors were all there and you can taste that quality ingredients are used. Glad we got a chance to check this place out.

I got the scallops and loved them, especially since I was able to try their orzo with it that normally comes with the salmon instead. The scallops were tender and the flavor was rich and well balanced with the rest of the plate. My boyfriend loved his chops and devoured everything. He also got the Potatoes Au Gratin and couldn't get enough. They were very rich and had great flavor. I had previously seen reviews from others saying the potatoes and other dishes were bland but that was not our experience. The rolls were one of the best parts. I wish I could whip butter like that at home. Towards the end they brought us a couple of glasses of Prosecco to cheers with, and a complimentary dessert (the Samoa sundae).
