I absolute love this place for all things bakery! Been here three times already and never had a problem with anything there. I mainly go for their pastries so I have not tried the other items they have there but I will have to soon. It does get really busy at times but the wait has never been too much at all. It is small with a few seating areas so it is best to get your things to go unless it's not busy. I really recommend this place and for sure will be coming back!

Such a cute place, tried the salty maple cold foam, paired perfectly with ice latte! Staffs are very patient and attentive!

Awesome pastries for everyday adventures. Service is always quick and kind. The fresh smells are always appreciated and show how fresh their breads and goods are! Can be a bit busy in the mornings but if you find to time to sit and eat inside when it's quiet you'll find the staff's little noise and chit chat music to your ears as you relax.

Village Baking's Saving Grace is their Canele de Bordeaux, as scrumptious as ever! Dry though were their non-flaky croissants! Messy was the service, forgetting our lattes order and wrong pastries boxed! Crazy busy it was on this late Saturday morning! Packed at their patio and cluttered at their stand only counters! With this experience, I doubt I will be coming back here anytime soon! cheers!

Best Boulangerie on Greenville Ave. The shop is small, but the selection is fantastic. We were greeted by a friendly staff who were so patient as we tried to decide. Everything was fresh, made with real milk, butter, etc. So good!

Adorable Shop with Amazing Prices! Village Baking Company is such a cute spot! It's super reasonably priced--two coffees and a cookie for just $11? Absolute steal. Super friendly workers too. The shop itself is cozy and inviting, with so many delicious-looking pastry options to choose from. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu. This place is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

The croissant was very buttery. The tart's shell held up instead of becoming soggy which was very impressive.

GET THE QUICHE!! So goooood! My favorite is the veggie one - lots and lots of mushrooms. I believe is mushroom and spinach. If you don't love mushrooms then it might not be for you. However, the quiche lorraine is also good. I just don't prefer it as it can sometimes taste too fatty for me. If you are getting it heated, make sure they heat it all the way through. I have had multiple occasions where it's only toasty on the outside and then it's good on the inside.

My cousin and I stumbled across this bakery because we were just looking for a drink, but we were pleasantly surprised with all the delicious looking pastries. As soon as we walked in We were greeted with a friendly smile and welcome. We really love this place because of the customer service. The drinks were fabulous and we had such a great conversation with some of the customers who walked in as well as the employees. Everyone was just so nice. Not only that the coffee that we got was so good and they have alternate milk options for your coffee. The oat latte was definitely a hit!!! You can also order your pastries warmed up so you can enjoy that with your coffee. They do have juices as well since it's not only just coffee. This bakery is located right in the heart of lower Greenville. Parking is around the area or you can just park on the streets. Overall this is a wonderful place to stop by I definitely recommend it!

Beautiful French pastries are the special of the day at Village Baking - where you can also get fresh delicious sandwiches! The line moves quickly with efficient knowledgeable service in a charming setting on Lowest Greenville. Great place to sit on the patio and people-watch - except it was 95* when we dropped in. Another time!! We came in for traditional French caneles, which we saw yesterday on the World Feed of the Tour de France. Not as dark as the one Anthony and Nico had, these were just as creamy and decadent - the mark of bakers who know what they are doing and respect tradition. 5 Taste of France in Dallas, y'all stars!

Fantastic, French-style bakery in a cute area! We stopped in on a Saturday morning, and it wasn't too crowded. We went along the display case pointing out to a staff member the pastries we wanted. They were then packaged up in a to-go box, we paid at the register, and we were on our way! The bakery also some seating outside next to the sidewalk if you'd prefer to enjoy a pastry and coffee al fresco. Of the baked goods we selected, I especially enjoyed the bacon cheese crossant, chocolate almond croissant, and the cinnamon sugar brioche. Everything tasted fresh and was well prepared. Would I go again? Oui oui!

The first thing I noticed was how beautiful everything is. The décor is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. And yes...those are real trees. That actually matters to me. I love restaurants with a beautiful aesthetic because it makes the whole experience feel special. Good food is wonderful, but good food in a beautiful space? That's even better. The menu is perfect if you're dining with friends because there are so many things to share. We ordered the traditional sampler, and it was such a fun way to try several Guatemalan dishes. Every plate that came out looked fresh, colorful, and made with care. The cheese pupusa was delicious, and the cotija cheese was the perfect finishing touch. Then there were the plantains. I actually stopped our server to ask, "Do y'all make the plantains from scratch?" They do. And it shows. They were fresh, perfectly cooked, and so good that I kept reaching for another one. Honestly, they may have been my favorite thing on the table. The steak was cooked exactly medium, had a great char, and was full of flavor. Portions were generous across the board, which is always a win because leftovers are basically tomorrow's gift to yourself. The spinach artichoke dip surprised me. If you're someone who genuinely loves spinach, you'll probably be very happy because spinach definitely got top billing in that relationship. It tasted incredibly fresh, and it made me realize I apparently prefer my artichokes to be just a little more competitive. The service was warm and welcoming all evening. I ordered a red sangria that never quite found its way to the table, but honestly, by the end of the meal I was so full that my stomach had already voted "maybe next time." One of my favorite parts of the evening was learning more about San Martín's history. Knowing it began in Guatemala and is especially known for its bakery and breakfast immediately put breakfast on my "I need to come back for this" list. By the end of the meal, we were full, happy, and already talking about what we'd order next time. That's usually the sign of a restaurant I'll happily recommend. Beautiful atmosphere. Fresh food. Generous portions. Outstanding plantains. I'd give San Martín a solid 9 out of 10, and I'm already looking forward to coming back.

And while we weren't planning to do much, the experience was still a 10/10! I ended up ordering a White Chocolate latte and it was AMAZING! You can tell they actually put time and effort into their coffee and lattes! Everything is also brewed fresh! Which I love! My friend ordered a artesian hot chocolate and wow! It was probably some of the best hot chocolate I have ever had! It was def made with real cocoa! We did end up splurging on some pastries, because DUH! It's it so hard to ignore the bakery section when it is so stunning and filled with beautiful baked goods! I got a oreo croissant and tortuga concha! I did not eat them (My bf did) but they looked so great! I did try my friends banana custard filled bread and that was great! I would go back for it! Overall, we ended up sitting inside of their beautiful space for hours, just talking and catching up! It was amazing and comfy! We def want to return for some of their dinner and drink specials too! Highly recommend!

I started with the croque monsieur, and it was exactly what I was craving. The cheese was perfectly melted and bubbly, and that hint of dill on top really pulled it all together. For dessert, the chocolate kouign-amann was a total standout, super crispy on the outside with those rich, sweet layers inside. I paired it with an iced chai latte, which was perfectly spiced and not overly sweet. They have a small outdoor seating section that is perfect for catching some fresh air while you eat. It was so good. Every bite. I couldn't get enough. The combination of those 3 components went well together. As I was looking up the menu on their website, I noticed that none of the selections were the same from when I had my slice. That indicated to me that they have a rotating menu. SHOUT-OUT TO KRYSTAL!…read more My sister-in-law celebrated her 60th birthday today with a surprise party, and we had about 40 family members attend! We all arrived between 12:30-12:45, and the party started at 1:00. I have to take a moment to give credit where credit is SERIOUSLY due! Our waitress, Krystal, was absolutely AMAZING. And when I say she was doing EVERYTHING, I mean EVERYTHING! She was the only person serving us, while also having two other tables outside of our banquet room. Yes, our food took a while to come out -- but that was absolutely NOT Krystal's fault. She was working her butt off and doing everything she possibly could. She was attentive, constantly checking on our drinks, making sure everyone was taken care of, and paying attention to every little detail. It wasn't until toward the end of the party that I realized she had been handling this entire situation ALL BY HERSELF. She told me that the banquet hadn't even been put on the manager's calendar, so she basically got thrown into a party of 40 people at the last minute. And let me tell you something, KRYSTAL ROCKED THAT SH*T! Krystal, thank you so much for everything you did for my family today. You were kind, attentive, professional, and you never made us feel like we were a burden, even though you had been handed one hell of a situation. I personally hate Red Lobster and I don't even eat seafood, BUT my family will absolutely be coming back -- and I hope they come back specifically to see YOU! You did an incredible job, and I hope your management knows how valuable you are. KRYSTAL, YOU ARE AMAZING! Thank you for taking such great care of my family today! YAY KRYSTAL! YOU GO GIRL!
