The chai was watery, and the matcha tasted mostly like milk with a hint of green coloring. Honestly, the mint-green color told me everything before I even took a sip. He described the coffee as "very good, but not in rarified air," but don't worry, his fantasy football team is giving him a much-needed dose of humility this afternoon. They were out of breakfast sandwiches, but since five pastries clearly isn't enough food for two people, we ordered the mortadella burrata, which comes on a delicious herbalicious focaccia and was quite tasty. Also, there's ample outdoor seating and lots of people walking doggos on a nice day, so points for outdoor ambiance as well (though the interior is small and a bit crammed). Our two drinks, sandwich, a tasty but fairly standard mango chia pudding, and the 5 pastries all together came out to about $85, which I think is fairly reasonable for the quality and location. Obviously, you can order a less ridiculous quantity of food than we did for two people and spend less. But we sacrificed our stomaches and wallet for the sake of Yelp research.
