Cafe Duro is such a cute place that makes you feel like you've briefly stepped away from Dallas. I love how they share a patio with the neighboring restaurant, and the patio itself is super cute. The food is also really yummy, I got a little pizza which was really good. I have tried their coffee countless times and it's always really amazing. If you want to visit a cute, aesthetic place with great food and a great ambiance, definitely check this place out.
Overall this place is fine. A friend and I went to try out this place and we were not impressed but we did not leave completely dissatisfied. We both ordered matcha drinks, I got the prickly pear matcha and I also got to try the banana horchata matcha. The prickly pear tasted like sweet milk with a hint of matcha and the banana one tasted like watery milk with cinnamon, no banana or matcha flavor at all. I will say the place itself is super cute and everyone there is super nice. Service was great! Super helpful. I think the drink recipes could use some revisiting but other than that I think this place has potential.

Ambiance: It is a very neighborhood coffee shop vibe. There is such cute decor inside but very minimal seating. I feel like the majority of people stand around or take it to go. The staff is not really friendly but the vibes were still peaceful. Mushroom grilled cheese: This was so yummmy!! The bread comes perfectly crispy and buttery. There were tons of mushrooms and creamy flavor. By far one of the best grilled cheeses I ever had. Banana horchata matcha: This drink was very sweet and good for people that dont like bitter drinks. I loved the banana flavor and it reminded me of banana bread. There was also a lot of cinnamon in the drink which made it so tasty.
I stopped by Cafe Duro to try their banana horchata matcha but they were out of it today. The two people behind the counter were nice and helpful. I like the vibe of this place, it is more of a casual place to stand and drink coffee or wine. There is no seating in the cafe, but there are some standing tables. I ended up getting a vanilla oat milk matcha latte and one of their italian sausage kolaches which were both great. The matcha was smooth and did not have any clumps which is always a great sign. The kolache was served hot and was nice and flaky with its croissant crust. The parking situation here is that there are limited spaces behind the store. When I went (10am on a Tuesday) there were several spots open. They also have valet parking but I am not entirely sure of the details on that. Overall I enjoyed this place they have a pretty standard vanilla matcha latte. I will be back to try their specialty drinks!

On our way in, I had a craving for an espresso tonic though, so that's what I ordered and it totally hit the spot. A good espresso tonic is the drink that really signals the start of summer for me and they executed it perfectly! I also really liked the banana horchata my cousin ordered. The staff were friendly and service was quick. The actual bar is quite small, standing room mostly, but there's patio space if you plan on hanging out. I will definitely have to go back to try the matcha! Highly recommend starting here if you plan on spending the morning strolling lower Greenville.
Cafe Duro has a charming and beautifully designed interior. It gives off a trendy, cozy vibe. The staff are friendly and welcoming, which is always a plus. However, it's important to note that there's no traditional seating available--only a few standing tables. So if you are planning to stay and work or relax, this might not be the best spot. More of a grab-n-go kinda spot. Parking can also be a bit of a challenge. They do have a small lot tucked away in the back, but it's very limited and often full. I tried their Banana Horchata Matcha, and while the concept sounded unique and intriguing, the execution left a little to be desired. The drink was visually appealing with its vibrant green color, but flavor-wise, it leaned heavily on the banana horchata side. I couldn't detect any matcha flavor at all--it felt more like a banana milk with a splash of horchata, dyed green. Not bad, but honestly, I couldn't taste any matcha at all. If you're expecting that earthy matcha flavor, you'll probably be a little disappointed. Overall, it's a nice spot with good vibes.

I'd get it again if I was in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. They were out of the McDuro breakfast sandwich and a couple other food items by the time we got there around 1 pm on a Sunday. So, that was a bummer. The mushroom grilled cheese was pretty delicious, though. Limited seating is one of the big drawbacks here, but that also might be a good thing, because the #1 reason I'm giving 3 stars is that when we left, after sitting on stools by the window far away from the kitchen (where we moved immediately after I took this photo) for about 30-45 minutes, our hair and clothes REEKED of cooking oil. I mean, it was so off-putting that we had to go home and immediately throw everything we were wearing in the laundry. So...yeah...I guess maybe grab-and-go is the move here, unless they can get their ventilation fixed.
Café Duro is a wonderful little coffee shop in a neighborhood in Dallas. It is a very popular spot in a local neighborhood on the weekends. They have great homemade drinks and they also a couple of food items on their menu. The menu is fairly small but everything was really delicious. The inside is fairly small and they only have a couple of tables but they do have an outdoor patio. If you are looking for a great local spot with delicious home made coffee drinks and food this is your spot.
Cafe Duro has excellent coffee and food! My friend took us here and it did not disappoint. The line does get a bit long on a Saturday morning, but it goes by quickly and we waited about 10 minutes for everything to come out. We ordered the cortado, spice latte, and banana horchata, chicken panini, raspberry lemon bar, and breakfast pizzeta. The pizzeta was my favorite as it was light, fluffy, and full of flavor. Everything was high quality and on point. The coffee shop is a bit small, but they have more seating at their sister shop next door.
banana horchata matcha is bomb. I drink so much matcha that this is one of top ten in dfw. The only complaint I have is the parking. I dont want to valet my car for a drink. Please, getting rid of parking so you can valet is the equivalent of horrible tipping culture. just squeezing any dollar out of the customer as possible. Parking is already scarce around lower greenville.
If you're in Dallas, this is a great spot to get some matcha. The vibe is nice, and feels very nature esque. It did take a while for us to get our drink but it's a matcha spot so I was expecting it tbh. I'm not a big matcha connoisseur but my gf is and she really enjoyed it, and so did I. We got the horchata banana matcha and the banana flavor had no artificial taste to it and was very pleasing to the tongue, however I wish the horchata flavor can in a little more through.

Such a cute place! Love all the little details, from the flooring to the decor throughout the space. Everyone in my group loved their drink orders and the breakfast sandwiches had a good depth of flavor thanks to the quality meat and delicious sauce! My only reason for not giving a 5 star is that there is no seating, so don't plan to enjoy your delicious treat there. You might have to take it to go. Can't wait to go back! read more

After trying the adjacent Sister restaurant, we had to try cafe duro. We got coffee as well as the McDuro sandwich and an italian panini. The panini was great but the McDuro was a real standout. It was a delicious take on McDonalds' famous McMuffin sandwiches with fresher, tastier ingredients. The coffee was also of high quality. My only complaint is that it took a while to get our food because it was so busy. I would recommend coming here. read more

I tried their Horchata Matcha, and it was a perfect Matcha. I'm not even a matcha girl, but I will come back to this spot for it. The inside is so swanky and really cute. When I came, it was very early in the morning and the tables didn't have chairs, so I don't know if this is a place to dine in and work... That's what I look for in coffee shops. Found this shop on Yelp and it didn't disappoint. I was sold when I saw the Apple cinnamon matcha, unfortunately it's a seasonal drink. But they had a prickly pear matcha and it is so refreshing and bright. I really really liked it. We also got the huckleberry flash brew. To be fair put "huckleberry" on anything and I'm sold. It was one of the better cold brews I've had. It wasnt bitter or too acidic. I really liked the whole aesthetic of the shop. I loved their wine selection too. Super cute. Really yummy coffee, wine, and small bites spot close to all the fun on Greenville. The coffees were excellent. The jury's out on the tiramisu--it was tasty, but I'm not convinced it's not from a food service or something. Probably wouldn't order it again, but it was a nice sweet treat. The ambiance of Cafe Duro is very pleasing and I love the winery aspect. The baristas were very attentive and recommended me their best matcha drink. I got the Matcha Banana Horchata and a Matcha Lemonade. Both were not overly sweet and had a perfect balance with the bitterness of the matcha. staff was really nice so not to be rude. i got an iced dirty chai w pistachio milk and it came very sour and very watery. i asked for a different drink on the menu in it's place bc i def couldn't drink it. as much as i'm skeptical ab trying matchas outside of my trusted spots, i went against my better judgement and the drink pictured is what i got (banana horchata matcha). brown, watery matcha :,,) although it tasted like horchata milk that's not what they're charging $8 for. places that don't understand what they're making should not be selling those products :( my boyfriend got a sour iced americano as well. between the two drinks we bought it was $15 and i tried but couldn't drink either of the drinks i got. pls make ur $8 drinks worth it guys :,) read more
This place is OUTSTANDING!! First off, literally transported to Europe without leaving dallas. The vibes of this place are insane in the best way. Pro tip, go to the bathroom. My banana horchata drink was perfect and not too sweet. The arugula salad was pretty good as well. Very fresh. Overall, would come back definitely for the coffee and vibes. Next time, I would probably try one of the sweet treats or breakfast items instead. The biscotti by the counter is free if you buy coffee and it tasted like an Oreo cookie and was so fresh that it was still WARM. Obsessed.
