Normally it takes me forever to get to writing a review but this place couldn't wait. We just left after having brunch and it was one of the best meals and experiences! It's very small with only 3 tables but if there is a wait, it'll be worth it. The chef greeted us upon entry which is a rare sight in most establishments but this place felt like family. The waitress was very sweet and all were kind. The coffee was smooth, not bitter at all and not overly sweet. It was perfect and simplistic. As coffee should be! The concha was soft, warmed up, and perfectly paired when dipped in the hot coffee. The carnitas were superb! So much flavor with slight sweetness. The potatoes were crispy and were competing with the entree itself to steal the show. It was all sooooo delicious! I hope the chef finds a restaurant space and keeps creating culinary masterpieces. This food needs to be shared and devoured by all. We will for sure be coming back!

Not two, not three, not an entire cake, but just one single slice. They have an amazing array of cakes that they sell by the slice or you can buy the entire cake. They are packaged in very sturdy plastic wear, and then tamper sealed -just saw the Uber driver doesn't get tempted and wanna taste. Their cakes are moist and fresh and the slices are perfectly dense but moist and have a nice texture to them. It's like you know you're eating a really good piece of cake not something full of air that's commercially prepared. They have delivery through Uber and through DoorDash and it is pretty quick too. I understand their location is great and I have to go there in person, but for now when I get overcome with a desire for one single piece of cake this is the way to go so you may say, will you Marie why can't you make a cake cut it up into servings and put it in the freezer well, it's not the same as having a fresh piece of cake and then you have all that other cake in the freezer as temptation this limited dramatically when you're paying for a slice of cake and delivery, you're really gonna limit what you're getting and this is a great way to stay on track. You have a little suite every now and then and then you get back on track, but this helps you not veer off too badly. I never feel guilty after having a slice of cake from these folks because I know it is high-quality and I totally saved and enjoyed every bite. You have to try it.

It's perfectly sized with a thoughtfully curated selection, so you're excited by the choices without feeling overloaded. And let's talk about the desserts... every cake has its own distinct, unforgettable flavor--nothing tastes the same, and everything tastes intentional. Beyond cakes, you can also indulge in a delicious lineup of brownies, cookies, cupcakes, and other sweet treats that make it nearly impossible to leave with just one item. The customer service is consistently excellent--friendly, patient, and genuinely happy to help. I started with the croque monsieur, and it was exactly what I was craving. The cheese was perfectly melted and bubbly, and that hint of dill on top really pulled it all together. I also grabbed a slice of the lorraine quiche, which was incredibly savory with a crust that was so buttery and flaky it practically melted in my mouth. For dessert, the chocolate kouign-amann was a total standout, super crispy on the outside with those rich, sweet layers inside. I paired it with an iced chai latte, which was perfectly spiced and not overly sweet. They have a small outdoor seating section that is perfect for catching some fresh air while you eat. The whole experience felt so authentic and high-quality. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

The blueberry scone was fresh and although I only pinched a small bite from it, I could tell it was moister and more flavorful than most, well done! I wanted to try the Chocolate Kouign Amann, since I had no idea what it was, lol. It was packed with chocolate, but it wasn't fresh, the wonderful flaky pastry was rock hard. And now the quiche - I wanted SO much to love it - it was bursting with ham and the pastry looked lovely. But the pastry was SO hard that I couldn't even cut into it! I wanted to eat it with a fork but had to pick it up to bite the top part, since it was like wood. And the entire bottom of the quiche was drenched - when I bit into a bite from the lower part, all this water came squirting out - every bite that touched the bottom part of it was squirting water! I was so grossed out, why was this happening? Unlike my fave place La Madeleine, they only send you a slice, so sadly that was my one and only experience with Village Bakery quiche. Really wish it would have been better, the other reviews showed promise.

The shop had a comfy feel with cute tables and posters on the wall. We would definitely go back for more baked goods.Yum!
