I had a really disappointing experience at Swirled Peace and unfortunately won't be returning. As soon as I walked in, the owner/manger immediately asked if I could park in the back, basically telling me to leave and move my car before I'd even looked around. Did not welcome me in just asked me to move my car. For something that was only going to take me 2 minutes is weird. Also, there are 0 no parking signs on the property so you world think that you could park right in front of the store but no she doesn't like that. I was there to spend money, but that unwelcoming greeting instantly killed the vibe. I ended up not buying anything because the prices are outrageous for a single cup of soft serve. The owner wasn't friendly which made the whole interaction awkward and uncomfortable. But the lack of basic customer service and sky high prices made it an easy decision to walk out and not come back. Save your money and go somewhere else. Tipsy Scoop is a better option and will be open soon right around the corner from here if you're looking for a good sweet treat and I'm sure they will have better customer service. read more

They've got 6 rotating flavors, a loaded toppings bar, plenty of indoor seating, and a cute outdoor patio. I mixed Frozen Hot Chocolate and Mexican Vanilla Vacation with cherries and Oreos--so creamy, I couldn't believe it was vegan! I was excited to support this business, especially since I've been mostly plant-based for a decade and actively seek out vegan spots. Unfortunately, my experience with the owner was extremely disappointing. When I first reached out about vending my books (which promote kindness and ethical living), I was ignored after disclosing I'm not strictly vegan. Later, after the shop publicly invited "all vendors," I reached out again -- only to be told I wasn't a good fit. It was disheartening to be excluded in this way, especially when I'm not selling or promoting anything non-vegan. I've supported fully vegan shops for years and would love to do the same here, but I can't support a business that treats people this way. If you want vegan ice cream, I recommend looking elsewhere -- many non-vegan ice cream shops carry excellent vegan options without this kind of gatekeeping. read more

Great service from the guy behind the bar. He was super kind and helpful when I got in there and hung out to cool down from the heat outside. I got a mix of the coffee and chocolate but it wasn't super flavorful. Toppings bar was clean and everything looked and tasted fresh. The space itself is still super new with that fresh wood smell-heavenly. Everything was super clean and has tons of tables and seating. Cute place overall! read more

Criminally overpriced. I've had better vegan ice cream in Orange County California that was cheaper. $15 and change for a cup with some busted up old cone as a topping. The soft serve was just OK. The pumpkin spice ice cream tastes better at Trader Joe's. I did all the work and then the checkout asked me to pay a tip. For what? The conversation? They sell better vegan ice cream at Whole Foods. Take it home and put it in the microwave. There you go soft serve at half the price. Bishop arts is such a cool area but it is such a shame that the restaurants in the immediate downtown are raking customers over the coals with their awful prices. These are Boston, DC, NY prices. This is Dallas did you forget that? At least the Bishop Arts residents should get a discount. I tend to go into Oakcliff now. Anything downtown is overrated and overpriced. read more

The best ice cream in Oak Cliff! A friend recommended this place and I had to try it. It is absolutely amazing. I am a huge fan of soft serve and I have a soft serve place within walking distance by me in uptown but I would rather make the trip out here, because it is THAT good! The staff here is so incredibly kind, they make this place that much more special. You feel like you're a neighborhood friend stopping rather than just a customer. They were all very delicious but the cookie butter was one of my top picks for sure. The best part is that it is VEGAN and I almost couldn't believe it. It is self serve so you can fill your cup to your hearts content. There are plenty of toppings to choose from to satisfy any additional craving you may have! Careful though, you do pay by the ounce at checkout. Checkout is pretty quick, since they just weigh it and you can tap your card to pay. Ok, so let's start this review off by first stating - we are not vegans! And as a pregnant woman who wanted a soft serve ice cream, I was pissed off to pay $22 between me and my husband for vegan ice cream. No where outside or inside on the menu does the sign say VEGAN or even DAIRY FREE. I had no idea it wasn't regular ice cream until I sat down to taste it and read the little signs left on the table about the inception of the place. It's oat milk. Oat Milk, people. Great if you're vegan. Terrible if you're anything else. So, here's why I'm leaving a poor review - we felt cheated. If your establishment says "soft serve" people are expecting actual ice cream. The people working there were helpful and kind but also never said its OAT MILK "ice cream". The drink selection is basically for adults, with kava drinks, marijuana drinks. All candy and "chocolate" is vegan. And the place is very very expensive. They sell their ice cream by the ounce. Have you ever heard of such a thing? 25 cents an OUNCE. I went to the ice cream place down the block with my kids and spent $11. Ambiance is nice if it isn't too hot for the back patio, but that's about the only upside. I feel even vegans would be frustrated with the crazy prices in this place. read more

I love that I can come here and get to build my own cup of soft-serve that is 100% vegan. The staff are always really nice and are quick to help! They provide sample cups for you to try the flavors, and there are lots of toppings to choose from. The actual building is cute, and there's a patio space outside to enjoy in the right weather. My brother & I tried out Swirled Peace last night and it was sweet perfection. The plant-based yogurt was incredibly smooth & creamy and the flavors were on point. I tried the Mexican Vanilla & Supersonic Strawberry Balsamic, with some fresh chopped strawberries and pecans on top. My brother tried the Popeye's Chocolate, the Oreo Blast Galaxy, & the Pecan Praline, with a variety of toppings and he really enjoyed his as well. The store itself is super cool with a good amount of seating. It's got a fantastic neon moment happening, but the best part...they have robots (I have these same ones in my home so I was floored!)!
