Fig & Honey-$14. Waaaaaayyyy to sweet! (Nails:IG:Wheelz_on_Nailz) Happy new year!
Mikhael W.

Visited on NYE--crazy busy as expected but we were seated on time so that's a plus. This place is very similar to the Medium Rare restaurant concept, but acts as the more sophisticated older sister--they have better fries but Medium rare has the delicious bread and salad. The steak was delicious but didn't knock me out the park. I heard the ribeye was about the same. The garlic bread is a must! Omg! Skip the corn, sounded tasty in theory but the execution was "off"--it was pretty flavorless and watery. The kale SALAD was to die for omg!! Do you hear me?! I don't even like kale like that. The honey and fig cocktail tasted like a slurpee with about 10 extra packets of sugar. When have I ever gotten rid of a stiff cocktail? Had to hand it over to my brother in law..I'd rather his stomach hurt than mine. All in all the time was pretty good. Vibe was nice, service was friendly. I'd go back maybe on a less busy evening.

I came here for a friend's birthday. Our server went out of his way to make it great by offering to put the cake in the fridge until we were ready, putting sparklers on the cake, and then taking photos of our group. We all loved our food. The vodka pasta I ordered was very flavorful & creamy, and our service was great. I'd love to come back and try some of the cocktails are there were some unique ones.

You know what? It was a fun dinner with strong cocktails. The steak frites were pretty good and I would definitely go again. Valet parking doesn't make sense to me in this kind of restaurant as there seemed to be plenty of options to self park. It was a lovely birthday dinner with a fun espresso martini (and art).

Such great service and a wonderful, serene atmosphere! I ordered the picanha that came with the shoestring fries and my husband ordered tenderloin with the broccoli o & squash with a side of the Asian kale salad. My picanha, though ordered medium seemed a bit overdone but it was a very lean piece of steak. Overall it was still very tasty! My husbands steak was ordered medium rare which was more of a medium so I should have gone that route. His sides were great, the kale salad was light and a great compliment to the hearty steak. I'm not a squash person so I didn't try that but did steal some yummie pieces of broccolini! We were celebrating our anniversary and they surprised us with a complimentary slice of cheesecake that was so incredibly kind!!

This place is between a 3.5 and a 4. I ordered the tenderloin with fries and peppercorn sauce, and Mac and cheese. A friend ordered the ribeye, cream corn and chocolate cake. Another friend ordered the penne al vodka, garlic bread and meatballs. The tenderloin was pretty good and I really enjoyed the peppercorn sauce. The fries were on the cold side. The Mac and cheese wasn't baked but still good. The cream corn was nice and sweet. The penne al vodka had good flavor (sauce), but the noodles were chewy. The meatballs were okay. The chocolate cake was rich in a good way. The service was attentive. I would come here again. The vibe was chill and relaxed.

In town on business and I was highly recommended to come to Steakyard. Upon arriving you get an immediate sniff of the sweet Smokey smell of open fire... a true steakhouse staple. I was greeted with a welcoming hello and I was immediately taken to my table. Decor was modern yet cozy, linen on tables and semi comfortable chairs (I'm a curvy girl and I sometimes struggle but I made it work!) Bright and open spaces. There are a few large booths but those are for larger groups and I was dining solo. My server was kind and attentive. He gave me great suggestions and I went for the Charbroiled Oysters as a starter accompanied by a dirty Belvedere martini. Both were delish! Next I went with the Tenderloin Bistro steak and skinny fries. All of their steaks come with skinny fries. Steak could've been more charbroiled & unfortunately my fires were less than warm :( I was reluctant to say anything because I did not want to receive another large portion of fries and let it all go to waste. I did however provide feedback and insisted not to get a replacement order of fries. But explained I only wanted to give the feedback so they are aware, in hopes that someone else doesn't complain. I enjoyed another martini and had a lovely dinner meal to wrap up my day. Overall - I would come back but would rather come with some company so I can enjoy those beautiful booths!

Tried this place out with my fiancé for the very first time. Upon arrival the restaurant is extremely beautifully designed blending modern and old with great ambience music in the background. Our waiter was also very kind and attentive and service was very good. However unfortunately although the place is beautiful and the service was great the food was not amazing. We got the tenderloin steak, Cesar salad, and Penne chicken vodka pasta. Although the presentation was beautiful the steak was cooked a bit too raw for me and the penne pasta chicken flavor was very average. The Cesar salad sauce was also not amazing. We probably would not be back due to the food quality however I cannot recommend enough the amazing level of service and how beautiful this restaurant truly is inside.

Overall, the space is very beautiful. The service was decent. The food just didn't really live up to anything special, the tenderloin steak frites were under cooked and the fries that came along with it were well seasoned but cold. We also had the penne, vodka pasta with chicken, while the pasta was good and the flavor of the sauce was great. The chicken was very low quality just seemed like cubed chicken dry and not very well seasoned we were looking forward to the place but really left underwhelmed.

Nice steak restaurant by the REI near Greenville. Very surprised by the ambiance and decor considering the area. Went on a Monday night and was decently busy. Delicious ceviche, steak frites, and gnocchi!!

We went to the Steakyard as a group of 12 for a bachelor party. They had the table ready exactly when we got there and didn't say anything about us being a few minutes late. We had an oversized vehicle that we parked in the back. They do have valet but it's a large enough, easy lot. Ironically we had BBQ for lunch but several people got the steaks and really enjoyed them. Mushrooms are $6 extra, very clearly labeled on the menu. The amount is typical steak mushroom amount. There's not a ton of options. One person got 3 sides, which was the price of 1 entree and about the same size. I got the lobster risotto and prawns. It was very good. The menu does say reduction, so it's not actual lobster. It did taste like lobster. The prawns were also very tasty. Everyone really liked the espresso martini. They make a shape stamped on the top. You can even use an image of your choosing! They did pour us some champagne. There was also a nut allergy so they put a sparkler in an empty glass and did ice cream on the side.

My husband and I went here for a date and we loved it! The ceviche was so good and different than I was expecting but very flavorful. I love the fries and peppercorn sauce. The ribeye was good but I prefer the tenderloin! The space it's several is modern, sleek, and moody. Perfect for a cocktail! Service was amazing as well - from the host stand to our server!

We came here for the Sunday dinner and everything was so good! Got a reservation for 5 o'clock and we were seated promptly. Anytime in order things and food were brought out pretty quickly. Rodrigo our server made our experience so amazing. He was able to recommend a few options and also substitute a few things our drinks. We ordered a bunch of drinks and my favorites were the frozen piña colada and a regular lemon drop. I would not recommend the drink called the last word as it wasn't good at all. It's made with gin and chartreuse so beware lol. The Kobe meatballs and the oysters were the star of the show. I would pass on the Caesar salad next time. We all ordered the ribeye steak and frites and that was a great option. They were able to cook it at different temperatures that we requested. Although our fries were cold, when it reached our table, we did request for batch. They provide it with no questions asked. Once we got the new batch it was perfect. Saw that it served with was top-tier. Perfectly seasoned. The corn Brulé and the mac & cheese were solid sides but lack a bit of salt. From the atmosphere, the service and the food I cannot wait to come back. This is a perfect spot if you're looking for a chill dinner a solo date a happy hour spot or even celebrating occasion. definitely make a reservation as it got crowded during the late dinner hours on a Sunday night. There's parking around the vicinity and it's the perfect location off of 75 and on the northern side of town.

We invited a couple for dinner to celebrate their wedding we weren't able to attend. They are foodies, so we thought to try something different. The bread that looked amazing tasted like cardboard. The Hummus was terrible, and we are pretty snobby in the Mediterranean department. The Cesar Salad was good. Then the food came out. The seabass had to be sent back once, the second time our friend just dealt with it. I had the rack of lamb, which I get often. Awful flavor and strange celery mix underneath. The guys got Cowboy Ribeyes. My husband ate his because he hadn't eaten all day. He said, he couldn't make a better steak. Our friend had ONE BITE and didn't touch it after that. They bagged it up for him, and he left it behind. A $78 steak, not even touched. The mashed potatoes were great actually. Brussel Sprouts were the worst I've ever tasted. I think the poor server saw we weren't enjoying dinner and brought us out a complimentary chocolate tart, said to celebrate their married couple. It too was not good. Most everything was left half eaten or barely touched. I've never felt like I just threw $500 in the trash can, as I did last night. The food looked good (as shown in the pictures below, but don't be fooled) Complete disappointment. I say this as someone who worked for a restaurant group of high end restaurants for many years.

Theirs was the perfect consistency and had hummus at the bottom, which was interesting and tasty. The scallops were really well seasoned and perfectly cooked. He made a good old fashioned as well. The complimentary champagne started out my evening beautifully. I'd go back next time I'm in Dallas.

Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

WILL NEVER BE BACK!…read more HATED. EVERY. MOMENT. OF. THIS. PISS. POOR. EXPERIENCE. EVERY. SINGLE. MOMENT. VALET. NOT. FREE. I called before deciding where to eat on a Sunday afternoon to confirm parking situations. Parking is not easy downtown so this played a huge factor in figuring where, out of the dozens of brunch places, to eat. Definitely a bit of a walk to get accommodated at the actual restaurant so valet seemed the most reasonably enticing for parking solutions. Well, I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have paid for a thing here. They don't deserve our money and I HATE they got a cent from me. I'm livid. I hate this place W I L L N E V E R B E B A C K

Upon entering you're met with dim lights, deep burgundy leather seats and images of musicians painted in every corner. The restaurant is absolutely stunning! Our table wasn't quite ready so we were asked to wait at the bar for short while. We started the celebration early by ordering a few drinks and by the time they arrived, our table was ready. We were lead to a large half moon shaped booth nestled in the corner; which was large and plush. Plenty of room for us four and honestly at least two more people. On our table was a place card that said Happy Birthday to my partner which was a nice touch. Our waitress arrived and very pleasant and helpful. She asked if we had questions and gave us some highlights of the menu. We ordered another round along with Meatballs Troubadour, the Heavenly Sourdough and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. The Heavenly Sourdough and Meatballs Troubadour were absolutely the stars of the show! The meatballs were flavorful and juicy. The marinara sauce paired wonderfully with the sourdough. For entrees, Dry-Aged Delmonico, Pomme Puree, Crispy Brussels, Honey Truffle Chicken and Whole Lobster Spaghetti. All the food was divine! We were told we had to place our entire order at once, and despite our reservation noting that we were celebrating a birthday, he never acknowledged it or even asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. When we mentioned it ourselves, he didn't respond at all. While returning from the restroom (which was also uncomfortably hot and stuffy), I spoke with the manager, Jason, about our experience and asked if we could switch servers. Thankfully, Vlad, who had been serving nearby tables, took over our table. He was a complete turnaround. Vlad was personable, energetic, attentive, and provided the level of hospitality we expected. He truly saved what he could of the experience. Our group spent over $750 on food and drinks. The appetizers and sides were excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the entrees didn't live up to the same standard. One steak was overcooked and had to be sent back. By the time the replacement arrived, everyone else had already finished eating. The Salmon Diane was also dry and overcooked. To end the night, while we were waiting for our checks to be processed, Jason came over and told us the next reservation had arrived and that we needed to leave. We explained that we were simply waiting to pay, yet no effort was made to speed up the process by collecting our payment or offering to run the checks. It felt rushed and incredibly inhospitable, especially after everything that had already gone wrong. The only reasons this review isn't one star are Vlad and the excellent appetizers and sides. We've dined at many high-end restaurants, and this was by far one of the most disappointing service experiences we've had, especially for a special celebration. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
