Really nice restaurant and wonderful Brunch ! I watched all the yummy drinks go by and wished I still drank ! Bloody Mary, mimosas, Martini's with olives! They all looked delicious. And they were going by a lot! We had the muffaletta the soup and salad the crabcake and oysters. Everything was super delicious! The service was phenomenal.

Beautiful restaurant, it has the perfect ambience if you're looking for a romantic date night spot that doesn't look or feel like you're in Dallas. My major things to note were: The service was a little slow. This place is good if you don't know how good in New Orleans is supposed to taste. For example, we got the BBQ shrimp and the sauce that came with it was not a BBQ shrimp sauce. It was thick like an etouffee roux and came with rice. So it was a little off putting, not bad.. just inaccurate. Also, for the price of the food, I expect a larger portion. Everything we ordered was miniature size so it felt. From the fish and ravioli dish to the onion rings, we wish there was more. Not to mention, we paid $13 (I think) and they only gave us 5 onion rings with two of them being super small. It just felt like a rip off. All in all, this place isn't bad.. the crab cake was good, the truffle mac was very truffly if you like that! But i think J&H would benefit from working on the authenticity factor. Like, I saw on the wall a list of menu offerings and beignets were one. So I asked if beignets were on the menu and the server said "no. He's working on perfecting the recipe". Which I understand, but also, why advertise something so true to NOLA that you don't provide.

There's parking on the side and behind the building, but it's not a lot, but you're still in luck because it's located in a shopping strip, so there's more than enough! You might have to walk.. but it's enough. Walked in to a nearly empty place around 2ish. I was very surprised because the videos I saw, always had a lot of people. We sat at the bar and ordered some drinks a side car and a jackrabbit. I didn't care for the tangy taste of the jackrabbit, but good thing I didn't have to drink it. The side car was strong.. phew it took me awhile to drink it. *side note I'm a light weight The side Cesar salad was a cute presentation, and taste like a Cesar. The deviled eggs did have more of a mustard taste than what I'm use to.. and a big taste, not sure about what it was but it was kinda strong. The lobster spaghetti is what we both ordered, because, we never heard of something like that haha we're both from New Orleans, but this was never on any menu in our homes or restaurants. The presentation was nice, the taste wasn't too bad either, but I would have loved a burst of flavor, to really show the New Orleans. If I came back and ordered again I wouldn't order this. In the end our total was 127.68, loved the concept, and the beautiful restaurant.

Randomly stopped in on a busy Saturday night while walking by. They were fully booked and bar seating was packed, but the hostess let me know a table was available for about an hour and a half if I was okay with the time limit. I really appreciated the transparency and the option, so I stayed. The ambiance instantly transports you to an old-school, classy Creole restaurant--very New Orleans, from the décor to the menu. I was short on time and ordered the cold seafood platter and stuffed mushrooms. The seafood platter was fine, nothing standout, but those mushrooms stole the show. Crispy, cheesy on top with a perfectly meaty filling--absolutely delicious. The menu is packed with Cajun favorites, and I don't feel like I got the full experience this visit. Definitely planning a return to really dig in. Review update coming soon.

I came to Jack & Harry's to celebrate my birthday and while there were some highlights, a few details left me uncertain about returning. Let's start with the food, the Oysters Rockefeller were actually very tasty, but the menu didn't clearly state they'd be fried. That threw me off a bit, especially since I was expecting the traditional preparation. My steak frites entree, cooked medium, was the standout: perfectly done with a beautiful outer sear and tender inside. Crisp fries and a well-seasoned plate overall. I ordered a regular margarita, which was just okay, but here's where it got weird, the menu listed margaritas at $16.99, but I was charged $20 for a regular one because it deviated from their specialty versions. I didn't ask for anything custom, so that felt unnecessarily confusing and not very transparent. The restaurant itself is clean and has a cozy, upscale vibe. Service started out strong and attentive, but as the night went on and the place filled up, our server became harder to find. That drop-off in attentiveness stood out. I also tend to notice when management walks the floor to check in on guests, a common touch whether I'm at a fast casual place or somewhere fine dining and that presence was missing here. All in all, the experience was mixed. Great steak and ambiance, but service and pricing clarity could use improvement. Not totally ruling out a return, but it won't be at the top of my list.

This time I went for lunch. My last visit was for happy hour with friends. I wanted to mix it up and take my mom for a lunch outing. I highly recommend reservations. Service was good! Asher was my waiter again and he was still charming, pleasant and polite. They were short staffed, but he handled the situation well. He remained poised and professional. Ambiance was good I requested one of the big booths by the window this time. I was cozy and comfortable. Food was mostly good. I have to take a star off this time. Here is my breakdown. Spicy Caesar 5 Stars Just a playful and spicy twist and I really enjoyed this again. Deviled Eggs 4 Stars These were flavorful and I love the creamy and crunchy texture. Oysters Rockefeller 3.5 Stars They were not as hot as the first time. It was like they had been sitting for a while. They came out warm and this was slightly disappointing. Seafood Gumbo 1 Star Presentation was nice, but the flavor was awful. Probably the worst gumbo I have ever had in my life. I had to add Crystals hot sauce. This was the only way I could have eaten it. Muffuletta Sliders 3 Stars Average and decent quality. These definitely taste better in Louisiana. They need a little extra love and tweaking. Drinks 5 Stars The minitini was EVERYTHING! The mini espresso shot was perfect in flavor and delicious. Overall this visit was good. Not as great as my first visit. I will continue ordering my favorites and try something new each time. Deviled Eggs, Caesar Salad and Oysters are all great. Gumbo and Muffuletta is a NO. I really enjoy Jack & Harry's and look forward to my next visit.

1st time there will definitely be back. Everything what's so delicious! From the sourdough bread, calamari, Oysters Rockefeller and ending with our Branzino and I dessert! The desert was creme brulee and the cheesecake, delicious! Our server Samantha was awesome! I will definitely be back.

Overall, my mother and I enjoyed our Easter lunch. The inside was beautiful and definitely gave New Orleans charm. I was not aware that they serve lunch every day, so it was a surprise to see the lunch menu for Easter. Because of this, we had to regroup on what we were going to eat. Naturally, we had questions. We started out a little rocky because our server seemed to be taken aback by us asking whether or not items were spicy or asking about items on the menu in general since it was our first time there. She ended up warming up to us as time went on, but I sensed a bit of an attitude initially. I was regretting my decision to dine here on Easter after church and almost asked for another server. We decided on the Cajun chicken lunch special as well as the club sandwich. With that, I got the seafood gumbo. It was good but nothing like homemade. I also got the oysters Rockefeller.. so good. Finally, we ended with a creamy and rich crème brûlée. Everything was really delicious, and I definitely can't wait to come back to try more items.

Went for lunch with a friend. There was no wait. Very nice inside. The wait staff was pleasant. Both my friend and I got the Cajun chicken lunch special. I got it with the chicken and sausage gumbo. She opted for the salad. I also got the crab claws as an appetizer. That was my first time having them chilled. With that experience, I now know I prefer them fried. The chicken was okay, but I will be trying other things instead upon my next visit.

Continue to love the New Orleans ambience. Service was ok, but we got pushed pretty hard on getting appetizers a couple of times I thought, it took a long time to get our drinks from the bar, and I had to flag her down a couple of times vs her being attentive. Had some of the delicious heavenly bread, and it continues to be delicious and heavenly! Started with the chopped wedge salad. It was a large portion for the smaller size and could've easily been shared. Not much dressing on it so it was kind of dry but interesting it had avocado chunks. I probably would not order it again. For my entrée, tried the standard fillet this time. Supposed to be 10 ounces but honestly seemed like 8 max. For $68 I have to say I was not impressed with the fillet. Just not much flavor. It was cooked exactly as I ordered, medium, rare and tender, but bland. Ordered the Mr. B's twice baked potato as a side. It was OK but again kind of dry. Luckily they provide sour cream. I've been to Mr. B's many times in New Orleans and loved their food there. My friend had the French dip which he said was very good, but way too much bread and less meat than he would've thought. The accompanying matchstick french fries were very good. For some reason, it doesn't come with ketchup for the french fries and it took a very long time for our waitress to bring it after we asked twice. My wife had the red snapper which she said was exceptional on a delicious bed of ravioli. We've been here twice, and the fish offerings have been outstanding both times.

Came here during lunchtime and that the restaurant itself is beautiful. I order the Caesar salad and French dip in those were very flavorful one of the best sandwiches I've had in DFW area. Our waiter was so kind and informative about everything on the menu.

Food was INCREDIBLE. The only thing was that the food took quite awhile to come out. But I'm also blaming that on the entire restaurant seemed to have ordered at the same time. But it won't deter us from returning!

I got their off menu item of carne asada tacos. The meat was sooooo tender. They don't use flank steak they use a tenderloin and it just melts. The mushrooms were Devine. Glad I ordered the carne asada. The adult Mac and cheese was good but just good. Brussels sprouts were good (not the best I have had) but I think I was also just so full by this point. Our waiter was phenomenal -- super accommodating, attentive, and made us feel like VIPs all night. We shared the cowboy steak ($72) sliced for two and WOW... perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every bite was a moment. The sides to choose from ranged between $16-$18 We ordered the creamed spinach and it was rich and delicious. The wedge salad was fresh and satisfying. The corn brûlée? A crowd favorite -- everyone at the table was obsessed! The only miss for us was the mac and cheese -- good texture, but it didn't leave a lasting flavor impression. The restaurant was practically empty, so we sat in the bar/lounge area. The host and other staff were friendly. Our waiter came off a little smug at first and barely cracked a smile. He honestly seemed a bit annoyed that he had to wait on us, which felt very unfriendly. My friend managed to get him to loosen up a bit as the night went on though, so maybe that's just his personality. To his credit, he was very informative when it came to the main course options. The lighting was dim and intimate. Ambiance was simple and modern. I ordered the sea bass and my friend ordered the beef Wellington. Honestly, after tasting my fish, he ended up enjoying my sea bass more than his own dish. The sea bass was like butter, just as the waiter described it. If fish could fall off the bone, this one would have. It came with rice, cashews, and a ginger miso sauce. The cashews added a really nice crunch and texture and the flavors worked really well together. I thoroughly enjoyed it as b the only downside was the portion size. Like a lot of nicer restaurants, you get one small piece of fish... about the size of my pinky finger. My friend's beef Wellington, on the other hand, was just okay. He didn't say it was bad, but it definitely didn't stand out, especially compared to the sea bass. We also ordered potatoes as a side and the white truffle Caesar salad. The salad was good and the truffle flavor wasn't overpowering, which I appreciated. The potatoes were solid too and paired well with the meal. Dessert, unfortunately, was not it! We ordered the Wicked Sundae. Our waiter had actually recommended the banana pudding or the chocolate tart, but we decided to try something else. We probably should've taken his advice. The sundae tasted mostly like ice cream and was missing the main part of the dish -- the brownie. Nothing to run home about, and it also happened to be the most expensive dessert on the menu. Definitely not worth it.

Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

We were asked to wait. Waited maybe 5-10mins. No biggie, A lot of open tables were available for immediate sit down. Again that wasn't a big deal. I had asked for a booth & wanted to sit in front room. The hostess said no a problem. She handed us off to a younger hostess and she took us to a table. I told her I had requested a booth. In the front room only 3 tables were occupied. I pointed out the booth and she said that's for party of 6. However, we could have the 1/2 table/booth. Made absolutely no sense because that was for a party of 6 as well. I made this comment & she just stared at me without saying a word. I didn't want to seem difficult and took the table as she just walked away. Kev was confused as we were. No good communication skills. It was an awkward encounter. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & never was whole time there. Kev wasn't sure why she didn't move us a requested & was puzzled himself. However i apologized to him & explained I wasn't trying to be difficult, but prefer booth sitting and most times we will wait for one. We left at 1:45p and restaurant was no busier than when we arrived. Reservation/Booth or not! I guess saying all of this, your front staff need to have more people skills when dealing with your customers. They are the face and first point of contact. Again Kev was amazing & food was outstanding!

I started with the poblano meatballs and wow, so flavorful, perfectly seasoned, almost had that grilled taste . For drinks, I had a lemon drop martini and it did not disappoint. For my meal, I ordered the chicken fried chicken and baby... BEST I've ever had. The crust was seasoned perfectly, not too hard, and the chicken was juicy. I also tried the smothered chicken, just as good. And dessert?! Peach cobbler with a snickerdoodle cookie crust... hands down the best I've ever had. No notes. Shoutout to our waitress Heather, she was so sweet, attentive, and gave great recommendations. The manager Chris also came by a few times to check on us, which I really appreciated. 10/10 experience. I will definitely be back and telling everyone about this place!

It says a lot about how a business is ran in how they respond to a mistake. Drake's did phenomenal…read morein this regard. Went for a special night, reservations and everything, even arrived 10minutes earlier. We were not greeted by a server for 20-30 minutes PAST our reservation time, and to add on to that no water. We are typically pretty patient individuals, but eventually we flagged a waiter down, and from there the night flipped. I believe the server's name was Michael, great fellow and attentive. The FOH manager, Chris was phenomenal. Mistakes are inevitable in the restaurant industry so we understand. It is what is done after the fact that is a tell. They were great. Food was great and came out faster (On the fly). Now to the food and drink The cocktail martinis are great, cant go wrong with any. (We had the French 76 and Bleu&Gold) The Vin Scully Fries are great for the table Ribeye was great, cooked at correct temp. The Spicy Rigatoni (Zaza) was the favorite. The added sides were great complements but nothing stood out for us. Great FLUFFY cheesecake, I am not a fan of thick cheesecake, and this one was just right for the texture. We'll be back Valet parking Complimentary Limited street parking on a busy road Great interior, comfy seating

Pricey poisoning nightmare!…read more What was supposed to be a fancy celebratory night out ($725 with tip) at Drake's for my MIL's birthday ended with one of our family members in the ER and another 2 attached to the toilet (including my 72 MIL). This was roughly 6 hours after consuming seafood from this establishment. The frustrating part is we actually sent one of the 2 dishes back reporting to staff it had a strange odor/taste and was told we weren't familiar with lobster taste (being from NY this is untrue). My MIL was too embarrassed to send hers back so she ate her entire plate and my husband had about 1/4 of his before exchanging it for an alternate dish. As an emergency service provider I fully understand medical incidents like this can happen anywhere, but what prompted this review was way the situation was handled following my reporting. After reporting the incident to management we were met with what felt like an aggressive line of questioning about the members of our medical team and related details. I was told the incident would be escalated to upper management and the team would reach back out, but this never happened, even after a follow-up email. So, it's safe to say after spending a significant amount of money on what was supposed to be a special evening, the entire experience left a very bad taste in our mouths. At the very least, I would have expected some sort of gesture of goodwill or attempt to make the situation right -- even something as simple as a gift card or invitation to return for a better experience. Unfortunately, that never happened. Based on this experience, I would not choose to return and cannot recommend Drake's to others.
