Truffle tuna cones

Prefect spot to start our Dallas weekend. My husband always wanted to eat here and now he gets to take me! A great date night. Before the elevator ride to the top I was offered a tequila ranch water. We were seated at our table. My chair felt a little low for the table. But still a great set up. My husband had an old fashioned to start. We got wine to go with our mains. For the table they gave us Japanese milk bread. Very good. To start we... the menu is huge! We got the oyster Rockefeller and we both had the delicious lobster bisque. But for the price you pay I wished I got more than two lumps of lobster in my soup. But it was still good. Our mains. Was sushi. We wished there was more to the main than the small portions we got. Good thing we did two appz. But we could have done with some more... So needless to say we had to get dessert. I indulged in the turtle creek peanut butter bar. A little dense and perfectly paired with my light main option. My husband got the caramel basque cheesecake. Wow! Yummy So glad we got to experience the Crown Block together. We could reserve this as a nice date night.

This has become our kids favorite birthday celebration spot! We went a couple of weeks ago for just a celebration. We were greeted with a ranch water before the elevator ride at the lower lobby. The staff is always super friendly and attentive. The service is always top notch and the food can come out fast (almost too fast at times!). We've had drinks, the tuna cone, the chicken nugget app, the burger, the popcorn shrimp, gnocchi, and mac and cheese. Everything has always been tasty. The spot is $$$$ but you should know that before showing up. The burger was a little on the dry side but all the other food was very tasty. They have an extensive wine collection and the ambiance is outstanding. Make sure you ask for a window table to enjoy the amazing views!

After having such a wonderful experience last time we decided to come back here for my birthday. This experience was nothing like the one before. We were about 10 minutes late for our reservation because of traffic. We tried to call the restaurant 3 times to let them know and there wasn't an answer. When we got there we told them we had been trying to call to let them know about us running behind. She brushed us off and said "oh we were really busy." When we got off the elevator you talk to the next host/hostess for your reservation. Because we were a little late the gentleman let us know that we had 2 options. We could get the table he had booked for us but we would have to be finished in a certain amount of time or they could put us at a different table. We chose to get a different table so we wouldn't feel rushed. Our server was lovely. She was patient with me and my indecision about almost everything. SHE IS THE REASON THERE ARE STILL 2 STARTS. While the food looked good. Almost everything came out wrong. Under cooked or it just tasted nasty to us. I appreciated their effort for trying but this wasn't the best birthday meal.

The View was immaculate, the customer service was good. The food was a 5/10 for me. There were 4 of us and our bill was $530. That is including 1 drink and 2 of the Bloody Mary bar. Honestly it was a nice meal but definitely NOT worth the cost. I am not sure I will be back but it was worth it to try it one time.

My family and I visited Crown Block for my father's birthday and left with full hearts and even fuller stomachs. While some might assume a restaurant with such a view is a "gimmick," Crown Block proves exactly why it's featured in the Michelin Guide. We started with the large Seafood Tower, which was well worth the price. It featured a fresh salmon crudo, delicious East Coast oysters, and a top tier of jumbo prawns, lobster tails, and crab claws. For our mains, we shared the Cowboy Ribeye, Porterhouse, Lamb Rack, Branzino, and Green Circle Brick Chicken. While everything was excellent, the Cowboy Ribeye was the standout--seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection. The ambiance is lovely; it's dimly lit with elegant table lamps, allowing you to fully enjoy the Dallas skyline. This was my second visit to the Crown Block. The first time, was not as positive of an experience for food, price point, ambiance, and views. If I had left a review back then, it would've been 1 star. This second time was so much more noteworthy. Our server (I believe his name was Elijah) made the night even better. He was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring our glasses were never empty. Overall, my family and I were really happy this second go and will definitely be back!

We went here for a Christmas party and let me just say, it was the best decision we made! The food was good.. they had a variety of meats, we really liked the brisket, chicken was okay.. the sides were great! Potato salad, Caesar salad, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, corn bread! All of these were so good! Also, since we don't drink alcohol we asked if the bartender could make us a nonalcoholic drink and they agreed! They made us amazing mocktails, both different each time we went for it! They said they just make it then and there, so creative! We really enjoyed that! Alsooo the servers were quick to refill and take the plates away from the table when we were done! Anddd it was SPINNING!! Very slowly though but it was! Overall a very enjoyable experience!

My husband, mom and I came to celebrate our birthdays in Dallas for the week. We decided to come to Crown Block for the joint celebration dinner and experienced the worst service I have ever experienced. The waitress came off standoffish from the start. The whole time we kept feeling rushed and multiple times during the dinner did the servers attempt to take our plates when we were still working on our food even after stating multiple times we were still working on it. Once we told the waitress one last time we were still working on it, she proceeded to gossip and whisper about us and the exchange we had just had to two different employees right in front of our table. Then my mom ordered a ceasar salad that cost $16 and for two pieces of chicken to be added that was an extra $15. Absurd. And to top it off the waitress had asked if there were any allergies they should be made aware of, I notified her my husband has a chocolate allergy and they brought out nothing but chocolate as a celebratory dessert. Thankfully his allergy isn't severe and he can be around it. That easily could have gone bad. For such a luxurious restaurant they really need to evaluate their culinary service as it was extremely disappointing. We paid our bill and made our way out the restaurant, came across the manager and expressed our disheartening experience, he didn't even seem to care or had interest in hearing us out on why we had a terrible time.

Magical night at Crown Block! We had the private room/floor, which is one floor below the main dining area, but is incredible in Reunion Tower with full bar and equally amazing views. We had a blast dining and watching the sunset together. The appetizers and drinks are probably the best things here. Mains are filling, desserts are creative, but you are really paying for the vibes and views. Absolutely a must visit in dallas at least once!

Dinner among the stars is exactly how this experience felt. Crown Block is one of those places where you can tell every single detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the moment you arrive to the very last bite. The service was absolute perfection: attentive, polished, and genuinely warm without ever feeling intrusive. The food somehow managed to get better with every course. We started with the Rockefeller oysters (phenomenal), followed by an incredible steak that absolutely lived up to the hype. The sides were served in flights, which was both fun and delicious, making it impossible to choose a favorite. And just when we thought it couldn't get better, dessert arrived. An espresso martini tree, festive Christmas-themed cocktails in the most adorable glasses, and a show-stopping dessert served with actual fireworks. It was over-the-top in the best way. This wasn't just dinner, it was an experience. Thoughtful, elevated, and unforgettable. I cannot say enough good things about this place and cannot wait to go back.

This is my second time here because my first time was not pleasant at all but I won't get into that. We had a huge party and our server Cyion (I know I'm spelling it wrong so sorry) and a young lady that was helpful and sweet as well. The brunch is $80/person and that includes the all you can eat gourmet buffet. At the buffet: croissants, sushi, lox, macaroons, sweets, on the spot carved meats + your choice of an entree from the kitchen and a beautiful view! I honestly believe it's worth the price point for all that is included + the quality of the buffet/all you can eat portion. I'd come here for a date, bday brunch, family visiting, etc.

Complimentary valet service was provided. We walked down to the lower level for check-in, and a private elevator transported us to the top floor. The panoramic view of Dallas from this vantage point was exceptional, and both the cuisine and service met our expectations.

Went here for as a birthday gift and it did not disappoint. The food was great and well presented. I enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and their intentionality in making sure everyone knew it was my guests birthday. Every person that greeted us made sure to say happy birthday. I ordered lamb and she had a filet mignon. Not to the mention the chocolate ice cream was rich in flavor! Lastly, they set up sparklers at our table. Our reservation was just before sunset which I highly recommend! The lights and music changes after it gets dark, making the mood a lot of fun! I definitely recommend going!

View was a 5, Food was a 4, service was a 1. As an FYI everything is auto tip of 18%, which was a reflection of the service we received. Our waiter didn't even introduce himself, but was curt and sterile the whole time we were there. We felt extremely rushed, and honestly have gotten better, and kinder, service from our local restaurants. Food: the food was good and about the price you'd pay for at a steakhouse. My husband got the salmon steak, which was phenomenal. I got the lamb rack, which was just as good. For our sides we got the 3 flight with mac and cheese, fries, and corn. The dessert we chose was their cheesecake, but we returned it because it tasted terrible. The whole cheese cake was burnt tasting and the whole thing was hard. When we told our server, I got mansplained twice about how their cheesecake is made differently. . After the second time I had to tell him we wouldn't be eating it and didn't like it. He told the manager we didn't want it, so she came over and we explained how poor our experience was so she took off the cheesecake and gave us her business card so we could call ahead and ask for a different style server. My feedback there is people are spending their hard earned money for a high end experience. No server should be acting that way. Total it was $291 with their 18% gratuity. Which was priceyyyy for the experience we received.

Do u have to wear a suit and tie?

Hello, is this a kid friendly restaurant? TIA

Yes! But I would advise to Go earlier in the evening. I went around 5pm with my 16 month old and saw plenty (at least 6 outside of my kid) of well behaved kids there.

Really cool inside. The afogato with the pistachio gelato was honestly probably one the best desserts I've had. Jazmine was our server. Based on the waiter's recommendations, we got the creste de gallo and bucatini for our mains. Both dishes were excessively lemon-forward, which felt off-putting in a pasta dish. I wondered if the acidity was meant to disguise any stale seafood. I was also not impressed with the tiny shrimp in my dish, especially given that seafood should be the star of the show here. I think the additional spice in the creste de gallo also made it slightly more palatable than the bucatini. The portions were also kind of small. We decided to split a warm orange olive oil cake for dessert. It was more like room temperature and the orange notes were hardly noticeable. It was at least good to split between two people though. For almost $100 after tips, I don't think I'll come here again.

Appetizers were all totally fine and enjoyable but again not stellar. Liked the little fish sandwiches. The fried calamari was really good. Oysters Rockefeller- just ok (I'm judging them against Acme oyster chargrilled oysters in New Orleans and these ain't that lol). We sat at the table for two near the door which had great lighting, and it was really fun to people watch as pedestrians roamed outside. Our server recommended a few cocktails - I got the Limelight which was delicious and my friend got one of the clarified cocktails, which was also very tasty. Honestly the alcohol flavor was masked super well so they're very dangerous drinks! Will have to come by to try some of the others. Our server was super helpful explaining & coursing out the menu, and we got a bunch of items to share. First up we got the scallop aguachile, which was tart and spicy and super refreshing, and the salmon tartare which was creamy and decadent and came with shatteringly crisp wonton chips. Really excellent starters, and they made me want to come back and get the rest some time! Then we split the ahi tuna tostadas and the crab avocado tostadas, which come 2 per order. Hugo O. came over to ask if we were sharing and helpfully had them plated one each per plate so we could eat them more easily, and also brought over a chili pequín hot sauce to complement the tostadas. They were so good! I'll be dreaming about both the tostadas and the pequín sauce for a while. The ahi tuna was super fresh and went so well with the accompaniments, and the crab didn't get lost in the other flavors on that tostada. The crisp tortillas underneath also held up really well to each bite; I'm so used to tostadas shattering upon first taste but the structural integrity of Hugo's were super impressive. For our main we split the fish of the day, which was seared Hokkaido scallop atop a bed of corn risotto. This also came pre-split into two bowls so we didn't have to do it ourselves, which was a super nice touch. The scallops were cooked to perfection, super soft and tender with an incredible crust, and the corn risotto was super creamy and savory. Almost a little too salty for me with the amount of cheese, but still so good I almost licked the bowl clean. Seriously good food here - sad it's a bit of a trek from where I live but I can't wait to come back to try more of the menu!

I am from the Pacific Northwest and I love seafood. I've lived in Dallas for 3 1/2 years and have generally avoided it because anytime I've had it, its been disappointing. This is the first seafood place that's not a sushi place that I am obsessed with. It's a very small space, very intimate, can be a little bit loud at times depending on who's sitting next to you...but if you have the money and you're looking for quality seafood, this place is incredible. Perfect to celebrate a special occasion or a date night. highly recommend. service is great. We ordered the seafood tower and every single item on it was delicious. Definitely ask for some melted butter to go with your lobster. Im not big on poke but the poke was seasoned with sesame oil and was so fresh. The scallops were buttery and amazing. The oysters were the perfect size. Fresh? Not overly salty. The mignonette was perfect. This was the first meal I've been this excited about since i discovered otaru sushi...but other than that can't think of any other places where the food blew my mind and made my eyes roll back in my head. The thing is that seafood can be so tricky. The biggest part is the quality/freshness. Everything on the seafood tower was extremely simple, but it was also perfection. It was beautiful to look at as well.

Years ago, when she lived nearby, this was her spot. And now, standing beside her in a line that stretched out the door, it was clear we weren't the only ones holding onto that sentiment. The queue moved with surprising ease, a quiet efficiency that felt almost practiced. Inside, the energy was unpretentious and steady. Our cashier, while not particularly warm, was brisk and knowledgeable answering questions with the kind of clarity that suggests confidence in the product more than performance. We ordered simply: wings with fries, and two plates of fried fish with fries. The wings hadn't been part of the original plan, but a fellow patron mid-meal and visibly excited leaned over to insist. It felt like advice worth taking. And it was. The food arrived in its own time this is not a place for the impatient but what it lacked in speed, it more than made up for in flavor. The fish was crisp and tender, the wings richly seasoned, each bite layered with the kind of depth that doesn't rush itself. Then there was the jalapeño tucked alongside the plate like a quiet signature. It cut through the richness with a bright, deliberate heat, a small but memorable detail that elevated the entire experience. The dining room itself is modest and well-kept, with many opting to take their meals to-go or retreat to their cars.
