For a veggie based ramen I did thoroughly enjoy it, but it did not reach nearly the same highs as meat based ramen dishes I had before becoming vegetarian. I did really enjoy the creaminess of the broth and the noodles overall, but the taste just wasn't as exceptional as I was hoping for. Will definitely be willing to try this place again if I'm back in Dallas for another concert though! (#stanninajirachi)

Loved the yuzu ramen we tried that was seasonable. It's a small restaurant along a street with tons of construction. Maybe it'll be done by the time of this review? It's quiet inside and has a simple, contemporary feel. The ramen noodle was bouncy and chewy while the soup had a complex flavor and hint of sourness. Very different from other ramen I've had and special! The tsukemen gave it a heartier taste but also a light touch due to the fresh yuzu flavor. We came during summer so this was a perfect blend on a hot, summer day.

Look, this place is just solid. Gotta love the speakeasy style entrance (meaning it's just a door with no real signage) to a very cool ambiance inside. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. The only sad part of the experience was that the bartender wasn't working yet so we didn't get to order any specialty cocktails from the bar. That aside, the ramen my wife and I ordered was absolutely delicious. Very tasty broths, nice and chewy noodles, just an all around tasty ramen experience. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention wishing that my ramen was a bit hotter (temperature) but still, can't wait to come back.

Food was great, it was a good comfort food for lunch time. Service was great too. Super kind and quick. The ambiance was nice. Not too crowded during lunch time and the lighting was great in there.

Talk about a literal hole in the wall! The establishment itself is very easy to miss as the simple panel storefront seemingly camouflages in the backend of Deep Ellum. The menu is quaint with simple yet unique bites. The Pork Bao buns and shrimp toast were extremely flavorful and delivered to our table in shareable portions for two. We were told the Ichigoh Special Miso ramen was a fan favorite, so naturally we had to put the reputation to the test. Safe to say, the specialty ramen surprised us with slurp worthy savoriness. The noodles were perfectly composed for carrying enough broth into each bite. As a ramen enthusiast, I can confidently claim Ichigoh to be one of-- if not the best ramen joints in all of Dallas. My only critique would be on the lengthy wait it took to place our order after being seated. Highly recommend stopping in if you're craving a warm bowl of fulfilling flavors.

As someone who has pork dietary restrictions, this is the best thing that ever happened to me and my love of ramen. Prior to learning about Ichigoh from of my favorite bartender (George who is also Japanese), i hesitated to go to ramen restaurants. George has never steered me wrong! The first bowl I had here was the Ichigoh special and then, the Niboshi Shoyo which is George's favorite dish. Both of these are immaculate. Also the chicken chasu is a game changer. I havent had 1 thing here that I didn't love. Didn't matter if it was a drink, appetizer, ramen or rice bowl. And the service, is superb! I love the kind and warm welcome and that it really feels like dining someone's home kitchen.

I was really pleased with my experience here. The staff was very warm and friendly. I tried the Special Spicy Miso and really enjoyed the flavor of the broth and pork belly. My only critique is I like my noodles a little more cooked so I'll request that next time. Otherwise, I have no complaints! The food and portion is good, the service is great. I'll be back.

Their front door only had a very tiny sign and when it's at night it's even harder to find. We had to tell our Uber driver to wait to make sure it's right place. They were not busy but we did have to wait for them to clean a table before getting seated for our party of 3. We were looking forward to the ramen since it was a freezing night. The decor and lighting had a nice vibe inside. We were hungry so we shared quite a few appetizers. They were all really good, especially the: Seasoned mushrooms Kinoko, Shishito Peppers, Eggplants Nasu Dengaku, Agedashi Tofu & Karaage Fried Chicken. The only one we didn't care for was the fried aged mochi. Note that all the appetizers are small in size so you can explore a few. For raman, I thought it was interesting that they had chicken broth even though it was served with pork belly chashu. I ordered the Ichigoh Miso Special which was unique with ginger and butter. Hubby got the soupless Tan Tan Mazemen and our friend got spicy shoyu. TBH I was so stuffed after all the appetizers that I couldn't finish my ramen even though it was quite tasty. I personally prefer regular pork broth over chicken broth for ramen. We had a nice meal here and service was attentive. Overall I really enjoyed the appetizers more than the ramen.

This place feels hidden in plain site. Located in Deep Ellum you wouldn't know it was there unless you were going to it. It gives it a cool vibe. The decor and lighting feel very classy as well. I like that they had a lot of unique appetizers and ramens to try. I find them to be a bit slow coming around to take orders. When i was ready for the check even though we had been waiting i had to wave someone over. There was also an issue with my check. I was billed for 4 entrees when we only had 3. When i told them about it they argued with me over which the third entree was and which needed to be removed. There was a $1 price difference so i didn't care i just didn't want to pay for 4 bowls of ramen when we only had 3. I ordered the special ramen of the month- black garlic oil pork ribs ramen. It was delish and made people in my party jealous with how good it looked. I added on the egg since it did not come with one. The meat fell off the bone. The chicken in the tori paitan was dry. The broth in all the ramens were very tasty. For appetizers we got the yaki mochi and pork gyoza. The gyoza were good, pretty standard. The mochi was extremely salty. I wish they would indicate on the menu how many pieces you receive with the appetizers. Mochi is hard to split apart with no knife when you have 2 pieces and 3 people. I'm not sure if i would come back here but overall solid experience. I very much enjoyed my ramen.

I usually have to share with my husband and that's more than enough for us. They have an awesome selection of cocktails here too, so don't ignore the drink menu. Not a problem since we enjoyed sitting on the patio and enjoying our drinks. The bartenders were great, fast and very friendly. I appreciate that before pouring my wine, the one bartender put in a lot of effort to buffing my glass. I ordered a plum wine to start, which is always delicious and sweet. We were seated a little earlier than 20 minutes, but unfortunately weren't greeted for a bit following that. They were super busy though. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable, and we stuck with splitting apps versus getting ramen. We ordered the shishito peppers, karaage, takoyaki, and edamame. To drink, we ordered and split the hot sake. The first plates came out pretty quickly, and were hot and delicious. Our hot sake took a while to be delivered, and we had to ask our waiter to double check it was still on the way. Then when it arrived, we had to fight off a bunch of gnats that kept landing on the bottle. I guess they wanted to party, too! The shishito peppers were definitely my favorite. They were perfectly coated in sauce and flavoring. The karaage was tender and tastes especially good when paired with the watermelon. takoyaki was served hot and it's a blast watching the Bonita flakes dance on the balls. The edamame, while good, needed to be stirred up because the salt distribution was heavy on certain pieces. We wished we could order dessert, but felt a bit rushed by the server. It was a little before 10pm, so we understand they're off at 11pm, but as a former server there's definitely better ways to keep up with the closing process that feels less intrusive to the patrons. Overall, we had a blast at Wabi house and the food was great. Maybe we went on an off night for service, but overall will definitely be back again!!

I am surprised despite the popularity, the wait was not long at all and we were able to get seat almost immediately. For the first time, we ordered 2 appetizers - shrimp tempura and gyoza, not particularly outstanding, but they came out fast! As we were diving into our appetizers, the ramen was ready for us. I had the Spicy Miso Special (with mild spice) and my boyfriend had the Hinodeya special with medium spice. I personally like mine better because it was creamy and super flavorful compared to the Hinodeya special. My boyfriend tends to get stomach ache and fee bloated if he eats too much MSG. But he didn't feel any of those symptoms. To him, it was one of the biggest indicators if that is a good ramen or not. For the second time, we ordered takoyaki and karaage. Again, nothing too outstanding. This time, my boyfriend had what I had last time and I ordered the Tonkatsu special (no pic, sorry!). Maybe because of the lack of spice, I still prefer the Spicy Miso Special over Tonkatsu (Tonkatsu ramen is always my go-to in ramen spots). Regardless, we enjoyed our meals very much in both times. Overall, service was really great and attentive. At no point did our water glasses go empty, and we placed our orders super quick. For lunch, I had the Spicy Creamy V Ramen. My friend had Tonkotsu Black. We also split an order of the French fries. Overall, the ramen was very tasty. It wasn't spicy at all, but I appreciate that JINYA includes sauces on the table to add to your ramen. The toppings (onions, tofu, etc.) were delicious and fresh. I also felt super full after only a few bites and took the rest home - well worth the price! My friend enjoyed his meal as well. The French fries needed a bit more salt, but only if you didn't use the dipping sauces. Which you would be crazy not to do so, as they are delicious. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and would definitely be back for a quick, affordable lunch.

I've also tried coming here before, and there was also a long wait. I'm glad I decided to stick it out this time. We ordered the Wagyu sushi, Yakitori, Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, and the Tomato Ramen. The Wagyu sushi is torched right in front of you! The Wagyu was incredibly tender and the sauce was delicious. My only *nitpicky* critique is the rice was ever so slightly too moist, but that didn't stop me from inhaling the sushi. Next, the Yakitori was phenomenal. I've never had such tender chicken in my life. There was a nice layer of delicious sauce coating the skewer. Again, just a really nitpicky feedback I have was that I wish the Yakitori had the tiniest bit more char to it, but nevertheless was an incredible bite, and I'd 100% order again in a heartbeat. Onto the ramen - easily hands down one of the best ramen I've had in DFW. The broth is flavorful, and I love the noodles. I'm not sure if they're handmade from scratch, but they had the perfect thickness and chewiness. I also loved generous the portion of cha shu slices. Most other places only give you 1-2 thin slices, but that was not the case here. The pork was tender. The ajitama was solid too, although I prefer more of a soft-boiled egg. While the meat portion is more generous here, the tonkotsu didn't come with many vegetables. A lot of other ramen places I've been to will have corn, fried garlic, etc as default, but those are all additional cost add-ons here. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it's the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great. Personally, I still prefer traditional ramens but it was certainly a nice culinary creation to try. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. Just be aware there may be a wait, and because they're so busy, you do have to proactively flag down staff. However, the staff are still really nice despite all the tasks they're juggling at once.

We got spicy gyoza to start, black pork tonkatsu w/ small curry rice bowl and a spicy dan dan. Gyoza came smothered in their sweet garlic chilli which defeats the purpose of a crispy gyoza skirt. On to the ramen -- if you want to know if you're getting a quality bowl, look no further than the preparation of the egg. No respectable ramen shop would serve you well done boiled eggs which was the case here. The tonkatsu had heavy garlic flavor which is good but was unfortunately overshadowed by the abundance of burnt garlic bits. Not much to say about the Dan Dan. Bathroom clean but had a strong smelled. Would not go out of my way nor return with the amount of noodle options in dfw.

The noodles were delightfully chewy and the broth had a rich and full flavor without being overly fatty; I finished every drop of the garlicky goodness. Parking wasn't bad either, there are lots and a garage nearby. However, the food itself fell flat for me. We ordered the crispy chicken happy hour special, which comes with a side salad. The chicken was on the dry side. Whenever I order Kaarage, it usually comes with a dipping sauce, but there was none here and that would've really helped out. The dressing on the side salad was way too acidic, making it hard to eat as well. In addition, we ordered the takoyaki as an appetizer. The takoyaki themselves were pretty solid, but the texture of the mayo was off. I'm not sure if they make their mayo in-house, but i noticed it was curdled. For the ramen, we ordered Jinya Tonkotsu Black and Creamy Veggie Ramen. Pricing is standard for DFW ramen restaurants, although *slightly* higher than some others (by like $1). The base ramen comes with a good variety of toppings! However, the ramen was just okay. The noodles are on the skinnier side, which I prefer thicker, chewier noodles. The pork chashu serving was small, and it tasted kind of old and wasn't that tender nor flavorful. The broth was just alright. I prefer soft-boiled, jammy ramen eggs, but the ajitama here was cooked longer than I would've liked. Ironically, I thought the veggie ramen was *much* better. The broth had better flavor, and they use different noodles than the tonkotsu, which were thicker (and exactly what I like!). Lastly, we had the matcha tiramisu for dessert. On a positive note, the matcha flavor was detectable. However, the tiramisu crème wasn't that fluffy, and there were noticeable amounts of undissolved sugar. Both the curdled mayo and tiramisu crème provide enough data points to suggest that whoever in the kitchen is responsible for blending/mixing needs some more training and attention to detail.
