The service and atmosphere were fantastic! It's a pretty small dining room that feels really intimate and cozy. We never waited too long for anything. The servers watch over the dining area constantly. They didn't hover though. I don't want to forget about the food! It was all really good and fresh. We ordered different rounds of food and it all came out quickly, about 5 minutes. The yummy shrimp was a crab salad stuffed eggroll with shrimp and cream cheese. We really liked it especially with the sambal it was served with. We had some sushi rolls as well. They were a bit pricey for what you get. The overall experience totally made up for that though. We were in Dallas over Christmas break and I'm always looking for some good Asian eats. The first night, I was looking for some noodle soup on Christmas night for my toddler who was sick. I found some udon noodle soup and decided to order via UberEats, along with the Pork Tonkotsu Ramen and some pieces of sushi. What came was surprisingly delicious!! The udon noodle soup had a nice umami broth. The normal one, with no meat addition came with tempura crumbs and seaweed. Toddler devoured it; which was nice cause he hadn't had much of an appetite for anything. Ramen was a very decent portion and the sushi was fresh and delicious! We liked it so much we came by 2 days later for lunch before making the drive back home. There is a front lot that looks pretty packed but also a side lot with plenty of spaces! The restaurant was small and cozy. Service was tentative, yet not overbearing! -Agadashi Tofu: not what I was expecting at all! It was large triangles of fried tofu with a thicker sweet sauce, not like the tradition broth you pour over the tofu with the bonito flakes. Tofu was crispy and flavor was nice. I surprisingly enjoyed this dish. -Belly Fries: large sizzling platter came out with cheese melted over fries and bulgogi. We got the spicy mayo on the side so our toddler can eat them. Was good but on the dry side cause maybe of the mayo. -Soonduboo: I always love a good spicy seafood Korean tofu soup. This one came with the Korean sides and rice. It wasn't boiling hot like other places but came loaded with tofu, calamari rings, shrimp, and small scallops. Good flavors, though not as strong as I would like, and because it was loaded with things, it wasn't as brothy, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. -Sushi: we had an assortment of king and Scottish salmon, escolar, Otoro, tobiko, and unagi. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Fiance said the sushi was the star of the show this meal. I thought the unagi was a bit overcooked. I got the ahi tuna tower which was a little small looking when I first saw it, but it actually was a decent amount for a meal and tasted pretty yummy! My boyfriend got the katsu bowl and hated it a lot. Katsu meat was odd and the veggies was over salted in my opinion. However, service was fantastic; one of my best experiences. Our meal started with waiting about 10 minutes for someone to come to our table. the restaurant was half empty and i watched staff bus and clean and reset 4 tables while we were sitting menus closed on our table waiting to order. they did not have anything that i am able to drink so my husband got my cup from the car. someone walked up and said we don't allow outside drinks. i said fine i just won't drink anything she then offered to put my cup in the cooler for me (pretty sure that's a health code violation) as was the employees walking to the cooler in view of customers an drinking from open soda cans in the cooler. then we ordered a total of 5 items and everything came out at different times. nothing came together. the food was pretty good we had bulgogi kimbap beef gyoza chicken katsu bento box spicy tuna roll and kimchi fried rice. But the service SUCKED. after finishing eating we waited another 15 mins for our check so we could leave. will not return here. (I could be wrong) They have a small parking lot which is rare for the area but super helpful! It's a very quaint restaurant but I appreciate that! I went on a Sunday evening and got sat immediately. They don't usually stop at your table unless you make eye contact. If the weather is nice, they do have a large covered patio. Parking it tight so usually plan to park on one of the side streets.
