Came here for Sunday brunch to celebrate my mom's birthday! The atmosphere and ambiance was incredible, i loved the decor and design of the restaurant. They offered a Sunday brunch where there is sushi for the buffet option and we pick one main entree from the brunch menu. The buffet was split between the bar area and the front of the dining area. There were several great sushi and sashimi options. The main entrees came out a bit later and the entrees were equally delicious. They also had a great dessert table with tasty treats.

Flashy ambiance. Young and snazzy guests. Impeccable service. Enjoyable dinner of Catch's smoked "Catch Roll"; delicious bibimbap-like "Wagyu Fried Rice"; memorable mascarpone mousse inside their "Strawberry Shortcake Shaved Ice". Fun and lively celebratory evening here makes! CHEERS!

Julia and William are incredible! She is an amazing server. Took care of us, attentive, friendly, amazing! Standout items: 1. Catch roll 2. Wagyu roll 3. Sea bass 4. Hit me cake Least favorite items were the lobster pasta- it was Luke warm and the pasta was overcooked or undercooked. Wagyu fried rice needs some sauce.

If you're in the mood for great service, food and drinks, you have to experience dinner at Catch. My group of 5 arrived on a Thursday after work for dinner. We ordered a variety of dinner options ranging from edamame, shishito peppers, rainbow sashimi pizza, crispy shrimp, fried rice. We truly sampled the menu and everything was amazing. For drinks, I ordered the porn star martini and lemon drop martini. They both were made with Kettle One and the pours were great. For desert, we had the chocolate cake and called it a night. I'd definitely return to continue exploring the extensive menu.

Went to Catch Dallas for dinner and the interior was super cute, very vibey, and perfect for a girls' night out or date night. The service, drinks, and desserts were good and definitely the highlight of the night. The food was good but nothing too special or memorable and it's definitely on the pricey side. I'd personally skip the sushi since there are other places in Dallas where you can get higher quality fish for much less. So I'd recommend trying their other dishes instead. Overall, you're really paying for the ambiance, experience, and vibe more than the food itself. Great spot for a fun night out if that's what you're looking for! I'd go here again for the atmosphere and service and their drinks!

Came for brunch, 2pm reservation. By 2:43p they had run out of chicken and waffles, angry lobster and eggs benedict. Both our server and the wait staff assist team was a bit challenged with keeping up with very basic tasks (i.e. water, clearing used plates, taking entire orders, etc) The manager did intervene and she error correct very nicely. Having said that, I would not recommend brunch service.

Catch is very elegant. It's 2 floors with a patio that is great for brunch. I've been 3 times. Once for brunch and twice for dinner. Brunch was amazing however it is a bit pricey for breakfast. For dinner, I've had the branzino, Brussels, surf and turf roll and the watch fried rice. The branzino is delicious and comes with rice with mango. The roll has been perfected! The rice was flavored well but it was overcooked. I've had pretty good service when I've been. I would recommend Catch to visitors! 9/10.

Went here for my birthday and it was absolutely incredible. The fish is flown in fresh from japan, probably some of the best sashimi I have had. Service was so friendly and calm, and the interior was stunning. So so so good.

I was worried this place was going to be part of Dallas restaurant inflation - all aesthetics and the need to feel seen as rich. We came on a relatively slow Friday night and were pleasantly surprised. Service was welcoming and embraced the make it an experience type mentality. Had a few drinks a few rolls, an entre, and desert and honestly was happy with all of it. Stopped at the bar on our way out for a few more drinks and if you have the chance to get their bar tender Arden he is phenomenal at his craft. Really fun date night all around

Our reservation was not honored . We waited about 35-40mins after our time before seated. Once seated we noticed the demographic in a certain area of the restaurant along with the servers . I really liked the water options where the options of lemon, mint and orange are brought to the table . The drinks were too sugary but not bad. The edamame was awful! My friend enjoyed the sushi and I enjoyed the truffle spaghetti. Upon leaving and waiting for our ticket to be validated the gentleman at the door came from out of no where being extremely rude and unprofessional. I felt uncomfortable and it altered the experience even more.

My friend and I have been wanting to come here for a while so we booked reservations for 745PM. Upon arrival, they were PACKED. The bar was full as well as the dining area. We waited at the bar (and had a drink) while we waited for our table to be ready. We FINALLY were seated at 820PM and ordered around 830PM. The customer service (waiter) was a bit scattered but we were able to get everything we wanted ordered. For starters, we ordered the Wagyu Gyoza and we really liked these - although we were starving from the long wait. The next item to come out was the Truffle Sashimi and Madai Crudo. We thoroughly enjoyed the Truffle Sashimi and even dipped our Crudo in the sauce! Would definitely recommend the Sashimi. Thereafter, we were just waiting and waiting for our rolls and nigiri. As we looked around, no one was eating but drinking and drinking. The food service was terribly slow. Around 25-30 mins later, our Catch Roll, Hellfire Roll, and Otoro and King Salmon Belly nigiri arrived. The nigiri was very fresh and tasty and we enjoyed the Catch Roll. The Hellfire Roll was ok - definitely not a favorite. Since we had a reservation for cocktails after, we had to high tail it out of there! Overall, the food was good but the timeliness and service can be improved so much especially for what you're paying. I guess as long as the aesthetic fit, no one cares. Try it for yourself - the food won't disappoint!

Expensive but worth it in my opinion. Everything we got was so good. The crispy rice with tuna was amazing. I'm not a big dessert person but the strawberry dessert was 10/10. Would highly recommend!

First restaurant week we went to in 2025 and what a start. First, the service was really good from walking in the door. There were a few lawyers gaps in the dishes but overall wasn't that big of an issue. The restaurant has a nautical feel to it but like a fancy dining room on an old ship. Food wise we were expecting to pick one from each course but it was a tasting menu so a lot of food. Basically everything was good. For the first course, we got Catch Sushi and Madai Ceviche. The ceviche was ok but the sushi was the star of this course. It is basically a California roll with seared salmon on top. The second course included Crunchy Rice Cakes, Crispy Shrimp, and a Spinach Artichoke Salad. The crunchy rice cakes were meh; the rice was too much and almost like a tater tot but the tuna on top was delicious. The crispy shrimp were fried perfectly and had the right amount of spice. The salad was by far the biggest surprise of the night. It wasn't the best dish of the night but was an incredible salad that I can't compare to one I've had before. The crispy shiitake and leeks on top were the perfect added touch. The third course was Salmon a la Plancha, Herb Roasted Branzino, and a NY Strip. For me the salmon was nothing special, just salmon. The herb roasted branzino was the best dish of this course - had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. The NY strip was coooked to a perfect medium rare. However parts of it were too salty for me. For dessert, got Warm Ricotta Donuts and Sorbet. The donuts were good; I liked the chocolate and white cream cheese on it. The sorbets are seasonal but strawberry was my favorite.

I went to Japan recently. I want to start there because the Japan trip is directly relevant to this…read morereview in a way that will become clear shortly and also in a way that is deeply embarrassing and I have made peace with both of those things simultaneously. Japan was extraordinary. The food was extraordinary. The trains were extraordinary. The trains specifically deserve their own paragraph because I have never in my life encountered a public transportation system that operates with the precision and quiet dignity of the Japanese rail network. Trains that arrive at the exact second they are supposed to arrive. Trains that leave at the exact second they are supposed to leave. A whole society of people moving through stations the size of small cities with calm purpose and zero visible distress, consulting their phones, reading books, buying things from vending machines that should not logically exist inside a train station but do because Japan has decided that convenience is a human right and I agree completely. I tell you all of this to explain what happened at the train station when we tried to find pizza. Now I know what you are thinking. You went to Japan and you tried to find pizza. And yes. Yes we did. We had been eating spectacular Japanese food for several days running, food that made us question every culinary decision we had made in our entire lives up to that point, and then something happened in the group dynamic that can only be explained as a collective temporary insanity and somebody said what about pizza and instead of saying no we are in Japan and there is yakitori available within forty feet of us at all times, everybody said yeah okay pizza sounds good actually. The station we were in had approximately forty seven exits. I counted. Not all of them. I counted forty seven before I gave up counting and simply accepted that exits were infinite and directional signage was a suggestion. We had been told the pizza place was near exit B14. There was no exit B14. There was a B4 and a B41 and something that might have been B14 but was labeled in a way that required a level of kanji literacy I had not developed in the forty eight hours since landing. We walked for twenty two minutes. We passed the same Family Mart three times which I know because the same employee was stocking the same shelf each time and by the third pass he looked at us with an expression of gentle recognition and what I can only describe as compassionate pity. We never found the pizza place. We found a ramen shop instead and ate the best bowl of ramen of our collective lives and agreed to never speak of the pizza incident again except that I am speaking of it right now because it is directly relevant to the fact that when I came back to Dallas and needed Japanese food that did not require navigating a forty seven exit train station, I went to Tei Tei Robata Bar on Henderson Avenue and everything was immediately right with the world. Tei Tei has been on Henderson Avenue since the late nineties. Founder Teiichi Sakurai, who is also the man behind Tei An which if you have not been to Tei An please go immediately after reading this review and before doing anything else in your life, has been a James Beard semifinalist six times which is the kind of number that should be printed somewhere more prominently than it currently is, like on a highway billboard or possibly the side of a building. You walk in through a Japanese garden to get to the entrance. A Japanese garden. In Dallas. On Henderson Avenue. Between a taco place and a bar with a patio. I walked through it after the forty seven exit train station and my blood pressure dropped twelve points immediately and I have no medical evidence for this but I am confident it is true. Robata is the traditional Northern Japanese grill style. Wood charcoal. Low heat. Slow intention. Things arrive on skewers that have been coaxed rather than forced into deliciousness. The miso sea bass is the kind of dish that people describe by going quiet for a moment first. The cornflake shrimp is a thing that should not work as a concept and works completely as a reality. The daily special comes out in three parts, raw, robata, and more, and each part is a small argument for why you should be paying better attention to what you eat every day of your life. The sashimi sits in a case on ice near the kitchen and you can watch the chefs working with a calm precision that is genuinely meditative to observe, like a train system that runs on the exact second it is supposed to run, quiet and intentional and doing exactly what it is supposed to do without any drama about it. I sat at the sushi bar and ate things I will not fully describe because some experiences should be discovered and not spoiled. I thought about the ramen we found instead of the pizza we were looking for and decided that getting lost is sometimes the whole point.

The inside is tiny and there isn't even a proper "waiting" area. I've also tried coming here before, and there was also a long wait. I'm glad I decided to stick it out this time. We ordered the Wagyu sushi, Yakitori, Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, and the Tomato Ramen. The Wagyu sushi is torched right in front of you! The Wagyu was incredibly tender and the sauce was delicious. My only *nitpicky* critique is the rice was ever so slightly too moist, but that didn't stop me from inhaling the sushi. Next, the Yakitori was phenomenal. I've never had such tender chicken in my life. There was a nice layer of delicious sauce coating the skewer. Again, just a really nitpicky feedback I have was that I wish the Yakitori had the tiniest bit more char to it, but nevertheless was an incredible bite, and I'd 100% order again in a heartbeat. Onto the ramen - easily hands down one of the best ramen I've had in DFW. The broth is flavorful, and I love the noodles. I'm not sure if they're handmade from scratch, but they had the perfect thickness and chewiness. I also loved generous the portion of cha shu slices. Most other places only give you 1-2 thin slices, but that was not the case here. The pork was tender. The ajitama was solid too, although I prefer more of a soft-boiled egg. While the meat portion is more generous here, the tonkotsu didn't come with many vegetables. A lot of other ramen places I've been to will have corn, fried garlic, etc as default, but those are all additional cost add-ons here. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it's the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great. Personally, I still prefer traditional ramens but it was certainly a nice culinary creation to try. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. Just be aware there may be a wait, and because they're so busy, you do have to proactively flag down staff. However, the staff are still really nice despite all the tasks they're juggling at once.

When I brought the issue to their attention a second time, the response was the same; they wiped it down, but the dripping continued throughout the remainder of the meal. For a restaurant at this price point, I expected a more proactive solution and better attention to guest comfort. Additionally, our group ordered the Demon Slayer 300 mL sake, priced at $55. After pouring the sake, our server, Adonis, took the bottle away with him, even though we understood that the bottle was intended to remain at the table for our party. This added to the confusion and frustration surrounding the overall experience. As a first-time guest, I was looking forward to an enjoyable dining experience, but the lack of attention to these issues left me disappointed. While the food may have been enjoyable, the service and handling of these concerns fell short of expectations, particularly given the cost of dining here.
