I could go on and on raving about how unique and fresh everything tasted but I think pictures speak louder than words. We ordered some traditional Japanese items such as snapper nigiri and karaage. We also ordered Nobu's creations. Everything was delicately cooked and beautifully presented to us. The lounge vibe was perfect as it allowed my friends and I to have our own space while being able to see the sushi bar from the side. Miguel was our server and he was super attentive and courteous throughout the whole night. The food runners were also very polite when stopping by our table asking if we were enjoying our food. My dinner ended with a special dessert. It was a piece of their Caramel Sobacha Brownie. I loved the earthy chocolatey taste of the tea and chocolate combined together. I've been to the Nobu in Dallas a few different times, and I also make it a point to visit Nobu in any city I travel to -- this location definitely lives up to the brand. The staff is always welcoming and attentive, and the food is consistently excellent. The Wagyu Dumplings and Yellowtail Sashimi are must-orders for me, and the Lychee Martini is amazing. I also love trying a different dessert each visit -- it's hard to pick a favorite, but the Buttermilk Donuts and Miso Cappuccino are both standout options. Located in the Crescent Hotel, this spot is a favorite of mine -- I love coming here because the ambiance is absolutely breathtaking. Since we moved to Dallas 14 years ago we are going to NOBU few times a year . Yesterday, we again went to Nobu Dallas to celebrate my daughter's 24th birthday, expecting a memorable fine dining experience. Unfortunately, the evening was deeply disappointing. While the ambiance was beautiful, the food quality did not match the reputation or price point of Nobu. We ordered Omakase dinner paying $215 each person. We were very disappointed! The 8 course dinner was full of Mackerel fish which is cheap smelly ! Omakase is chef's choice . Our chef chose cheap fish instead of yellow tail , shrimp white fish or even good portion of salmon ! Only one tuna ! The smelly Mackerel cause us to throw up at night ! Service was good as we expect from Nobu . I didn't like my $18 piece beef taco. For a special family celebration, we expected far better quality food! What was most disappointing was that such an important occasion for our daughter ended with frustration instead of joy. Decided to make a reservation for a small group right when they opened at 5 PM on a weekday. It was pretty empty, so the service was even elevated more so than I thought. We were seated promptly a few minutes after 5 PM. And they also had a place to wait since we were a little early. They even gave us some menus as we were waiting to be seated. We ordered a bunch of things off of the happy hour menu to try as much as we could. My favorite things were the crispy rice with spicy salmon. The rice was hot and crispy of course, and the salmon was fresh and flavored well. We ordered a bunch of the happy hour rolls, and they came out on a large circular plate with bamboo leaves and they were sorted very beautifully. I love the salmon avocado roll as well as the tuna roll. Other things that I really liked for the yellowtail sashimi. The happy hour drinks were honestly one of the best things too . Lychee martini was good, as was the margarita. Also ordered a French 75, which was made perfectly. The service was also fantastic. Waiters came about every 10 minutes to make sure we had enough water refills and they were very mindful when our drinks were low and asked us if we wanted another one. We also had a food allergy at the table and they made sure that everything was safe. For parking, we Uber, but I think there is a parking garage below. Spent $1400 on just food portion for 5 ppl. Lacking on plating/presentation, technique, cutting corners on strangest things . Go to uchi, it won't take 3.5 hrs , light years ahead. Living in the Bay Area, I bi-annually visit the Palo Alto location, but the decor and selection there aren't as remarkable or memorable as here. The food was excellent, as expected, and the service was top-notch. While we enjoyed our visit, the scale and tall ceilings made it feel less cozy than some fine dining establishments. This review is solely for the brunch buffet. We are usually skeptical of buffets but since it was Nobu, we figured it was worth a try. Well, quality was good but you get a limited, basic sushi selection. That's fair. Can't expect more than that for buffet style. You do get prime rib, some waffles, chicken, and delicious desserts. However, at $75 per person... not worth a second try for us. Probably not worth it to even try once. We also had our 4 year old with us and it was $40 for her. She ate 3 pieces of chicken and a bite of waffle. Hah. Anyway, cool atmosphere and it is a nice place. We had good service. Definitely not worth it for brunch. I would say this is tapas style/ it is encouraged to get a lot of little things and share with others. We ordered a plethora of stuff: salmon and tuna tacos, fried rice balls and tuna, yellowtail with caviar, black miso cod (one of their specialties) and a truffled sea bass. Both fish dishes so far are in the lead for best food I've had in 2025; a must try in my opinion! Some of the best sushi I have had in my life!! I lived in CA my whole life and never got to experience the infamous Nobu Malibu location. So we had to come try the Dallas location. It did not disappoint. From the start, their parking was very convenient. Either a self park underground lot that is validated or a valet service. Both really close to the actual entrance of the restaurant. They were all so sweet and accommodating when we asked to move to a booth since we had my rambunctious toddler with us. The server helped us tremendously understanding all the dishes and helping us choose what to order. Nothing disappointed. It was all really good. We're usually big fans of Nobu, but this visit to Nobu Dallas was a letdown. We splurged on the $230 tasting menu for my daughter's birthday, and honestly, it just wasn't worth it. The food was hit or miss -- hot dishes came out lukewarm and overcooked, the soup was cold, and the tempura shrimp was soggy. Even dessert was bland and basic. For the price, you expect every plate to wow you, and that just didn't happen. Service from our main waiter was great, but the hostess set the wrong tone from the start. We asked nicely for a table in the main dining room (to enjoy the Nobu vibe instead of being tucked in the side room), and she literally rolled her eyes and walked off. When I asked if something was wrong, she refused to answer. Not exactly the welcome you'd expect from Nobu. Also, for $150 tip service should have been amazing! But, the staff was pleasant but every course was a rushed explanation and served reaching over everyone for service. My advice? Skip the tasting menu and order directly from the menu -- you'll get better food, more value, and hopefully a better experience. read more

We ordered a decent amount and I enjoyed the cold dishes the most (yellowtail jalapeño was my favorite) along with the famous black miso cod. Some of the rolls were less impressive since they tasted like the same as more affordable sushi places we regularly go to. They did give a dessert on the house for my birthday so we really appreciated the gesture!! I walked in on a Friday night with no reservation so I sat in the bar area. The design was sort of trendy Texas if that is a thing. Lively and Dimly lit with top 100 music in the background. Although the restaurant was crowded you'd think I was the only person there. Each time my water was below half they refilled it. If I got up they refolded my napkin. They held and timed each dish perfectly. They brought them out one by one. As soon as I finished one dish someone cleared them and my next dish was brought out. Started with an uni shooter. Had yuzu sauce and a quail egg. Nice smooth creamy shot 10/10. Lychee martini was so smooth. Right amount of juice and the lychee was fresh and sweet 10/10. The crispy rice with salmon was good while hot but the longer it sat it seemed to get gummy or chewy 4/10. Hearts of palm salad was very flavorful and refreshing. Hearts of palm had a nice snap as well 10/10. The TORO...so buttery and fatty. I had to order it twice 10/10. The yellow tail was nice and fresh 9/10. Athena and D were extremely attentive. Worst nobu experience. Customer service from Logan is by far the worst service we encountered. Some training on customer service is greatly needed. I'm not sure why we were ignored numerous times when we wanted to order food and drinks. Even when I got his attention he told me to wait and asked everyone else at the bar what they wanted. Granted if they were busy BUT, this is a Monday at 6pm folks. Not busy at all. He asked how I was doing, I mentioned the lychee martini was too sweet and if he can do another one for me less sweet. His response, literally was "no I can't". I have been to several Nobu locations and never experienced so many "I can't do this". I asked for my cocktail to be less sweet. No I can't. I asked for sorbet with some fresh fruit. No I can't. Every single location has accommodated this for us. Dallas, no.
