My friend recommended to come here because he likes it so much. He was right, Sasa is good! Sasa has these items that I haven't seen anywhere else. They're very simple, I'm surprised no other restaurant has done them. They're the TRIOs: salmon, tuna, yellowtail. Each item comes with 3 pieces of nigiri showcasing the different cut of the fish. So if you order all 3, you get 9 pieces of nigiri. I thought this was a smart idea and it tasted very good. I heard from my friend that on the weekend there can be a line to get into Sasa.

Really mediocre quality fish. I had the sashimi and hubs got sashimi sushi platter. Everyone was so mid. They are super quick though so if you're hungry, you don't have to worry about waiting forever for your food. I also had soft shell crab tempura. I didn't like the tempura breading on it. Was too thick for me. Service wasn't bad.

Seated promptly on a Thursday night after a bad bunny Salsa class - shout out Amanda! This was a pretty quaint place with an open kitchen in front of the bar. Our server was nice but not immensely helpful because he liked fried items for the rolls whereas we prefer fresh rolls. Service was pretty fast. Like really fast. We had stuff coming out within 5 mins. Probably because 830pm on a Thursday night. We were served our salad - part of the sashimi combo - within minutes. And then the Hama orange appetizer soon after. Here's what we ordered: Ricotta dumplings: good. The soup made it better. Hama orange: EXTREMELY FRESH with the orange. We usually don't prefer fatty slices, but this was pretty good. Sashimi combo A: White tuna: first time having it and surprisingly enjoyed it given we don't like regular tuna as much. seabass: stringy and chewy. Not a fan. Tuna: not a fan. Salmon: alright. I think the thick cut detracted from it. I was shocked I didn't like this one because Salmon and Yellowtail are my favorite cuts. Some rolls we got: - In and out salmon roll - Sasa roll - Maui Maui All were alright. The in and out was the best among them, comparatively.

Delicious meals and great service. Popular spot so expect it to fill up fast. Grab a menu and check out their specialties of the day in the waiting area. They have a good variety and even options for non-fish eaters. Great for the whole family. Convenient parking lot right around the corner. Sashimi/nigiri can be ordered on the piece of paper they give you. Not everything is on this sheet so be sure to check the menu for the other items. Fish = excellent quality

The food and service were incredible! The place was packed on a Saturday night. Got on the wait list and they seated a party of 2 within 25 minutes. The food was brought out very quickly. Everything I ordered was delicious! 10/10 recommend!

Thank you for the awesome fresh great sushi tonight....all the rolls were so delicious. Great!!!! I have to mention what a fun knowledgable server, Nguyen is for handling our wild group. Ok wildly fun! Thanks again.

Some of the best calamari I've had. Really great sushi, quick service. Small intimate vibe. Definitely will be back again soon!! I'd recommend all the rolls and app we got!

Wait staff was friendly and everything came out extremely quickly! We ordered appetizers (fried gyoza and tempura fried soft shell crab). They were great but everything came out at the same time because they are just that fast. The restaurant is small but spacious and had a welcoming atmosphere. Food tasted great, very fresh. Would definitely return to try new things.

We were immediately greeted and seated. Our drinks stayed full and we didn't wait long at all to order. Our waiter was even able to suggest one of the rolls we tried and it was delicious. The ambiance is serene and can be romantic: low lighting with multicolored string lights hanging from the ceiling. Pincushion sofas and velvet chairs. All 4 rolls that we ordered had extremely fresh ingredients and were perfectly garnished with sauce decoration; they were full of flavor. The house salad is pretty large compared to most at Japanese restaurants. We will definitely return and highly suggest that you try this place.

Honestly I never have anything negative to say about Sa Sa. I love the dark room and low lighting. It is great for a Friday night. We had multiple severs come and check on us. As always the food was amazing.

Hubby and I enjoyed our whole experience! We were courteously greeted. Their vibe is warm and inviting. We started off with a tempura and it was delicious and light. I got the yum yum roll, which to me was really huge and has a great amount of crunch, accompanied with huge flavor. Then my hubby got the coconut shrimp roll, he enjoyed the portion size. The ratio of the fried shrimp to the sushi was perfect, and the sushi itself is really good. Only downside is the sushi breaks apart easily. We wish we had enough space for dessert but we were so full. We will definitely be back here!

I like this place! It's cute and a good date spot. The service was fast and great, but we came a little closer to closing time (a little over an hour before) so we felt a bit rushed. We still had a great experience and the sushi quality is also really good! Totally recommend and will be coming back!

I usually have to share with my husband and that's more than enough for us. They have an awesome selection of cocktails here too, so don't ignore the drink menu. And their appetizers are also very good. I've never had a bad bite at Wabi and it's my go-to for a quick dinner.

Parking lots…read moreare available for a fee, but you can also drive some loops and find free street parking pretty easily. We didn't have reservations, so the wait was about 20 minutes. Not a problem since we enjoyed sitting on the patio and enjoying our drinks. The bartenders were great, fast and very friendly. I appreciate that before pouring my wine, the one bartender put in a lot of effort to buffing my glass. I ordered a plum wine to start, which is always delicious and sweet. We were seated a little earlier than 20 minutes, but unfortunately weren't greeted for a bit following that. They were super busy though. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable, and we stuck with splitting apps versus getting ramen. We ordered the shishito peppers, karaage, takoyaki, and edamame. To drink, we ordered and split the hot sake. The first plates came out pretty quickly, and were hot and delicious. Our hot sake took a while to be delivered, and we had to ask our waiter to double check it was still on the way. Then when it arrived, we had to fight off a bunch of gnats that kept landing on the bottle. I guess they wanted to party, too! The shishito peppers were definitely my favorite. They were perfectly coated in sauce and flavoring. The karaage was tender and tastes especially good when paired with the watermelon. takoyaki was served hot and it's a blast watching the Bonita flakes dance on the balls. The edamame, while good, needed to be stirred up because the salt distribution was heavy on certain pieces. We wished we could order dessert, but felt a bit rushed by the server. It was a little before 10pm, so we understand they're off at 11pm, but as a former server there's definitely better ways to keep up with the closing process that feels less intrusive to the patrons. Overall, we had a blast at Wabi house and the food was great. Maybe we went on an off night for service, but overall will definitely be back again!!

I've also tried coming here before, and there was also a long wait. I'm glad I decided to stick it out this time. We ordered the Wagyu sushi, Yakitori, Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, and the Tomato Ramen. The Wagyu sushi is torched right in front of you! The Wagyu was incredibly tender and the sauce was delicious. My only *nitpicky* critique is the rice was ever so slightly too moist, but that didn't stop me from inhaling the sushi. Next, the Yakitori was phenomenal. I've never had such tender chicken in my life. There was a nice layer of delicious sauce coating the skewer. Again, just a really nitpicky feedback I have was that I wish the Yakitori had the tiniest bit more char to it, but nevertheless was an incredible bite, and I'd 100% order again in a heartbeat. Onto the ramen - easily hands down one of the best ramen I've had in DFW. The broth is flavorful, and I love the noodles. I'm not sure if they're handmade from scratch, but they had the perfect thickness and chewiness. I also loved generous the portion of cha shu slices. Most other places only give you 1-2 thin slices, but that was not the case here. The pork was tender. The ajitama was solid too, although I prefer more of a soft-boiled egg. While the meat portion is more generous here, the tonkotsu didn't come with many vegetables. A lot of other ramen places I've been to will have corn, fried garlic, etc as default, but those are all additional cost add-ons here. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it's the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great. Personally, I still prefer traditional ramens but it was certainly a nice culinary creation to try. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. Just be aware there may be a wait, and because they're so busy, you do have to proactively flag down staff. However, the staff are still really nice despite all the tasks they're juggling at once.

I'm going to preface this by saying there's a lot of potential here but it's sufficient for the…read moredemographic that it serves. We got spicy gyoza to start, black pork tonkatsu w/ small curry rice bowl and a spicy dan dan. Gyoza came smothered in their sweet garlic chilli which defeats the purpose of a crispy gyoza skirt. It might be better to retain the crisp and crunch of the gyoza skin with the chilli sauce on the side? On to the ramen -- if you want to know if you're getting a quality bowl, look no further than the preparation of the egg. No respectable ramen shop would serve you well done boiled eggs which was the case here. The tonkatsu had heavy garlic flavor which is good but was unfortunately overshadowed by the abundance of burnt garlic bits. Not much to say about the Dan Dan. Bathroom clean but had a strong smelled. Would not go out of my way nor return with the amount of noodle options in dfw.

I am surprised despite the popularity, the wait was not long at all and we were able to get seat almost immediately. For the first time, we ordered 2 appetizers - shrimp tempura and gyoza, not particularly outstanding, but they came out fast! As we were diving into our appetizers, the ramen was ready for us. I had the Spicy Miso Special (with mild spice) and my boyfriend had the Hinodeya special with medium spice. I personally like mine better because it was creamy and super flavorful compared to the Hinodeya special. My boyfriend tends to get stomach ache and fee bloated if he eats too much MSG. But he didn't feel any of those symptoms. To him, it was one of the biggest indicators if that is a good ramen or not. For the second time, we ordered takoyaki and karaage. Again, nothing too outstanding. This time, my boyfriend had what I had last time and I ordered the Tonkatsu special (no pic, sorry!). Maybe because of the lack of spice, I still prefer the Spicy Miso Special over Tonkatsu (Tonkatsu ramen is always my go-to in ramen spots). Regardless, we enjoyed our meals very much in both times. I think we have found our go-to ramen spot in DFW area!

This is now my second time coming here and both times have been a hit. Tonight I started off with…read moresome tempura shrimp which was served at the perfect temperature and had the perfect amount of crunch and no oily texture. The appetizer also came with a decent amount of pieces (I think 5?). After this I ordered the spicy miso special ramen which was superb. They give you the option to change the spiciness which I appreciated because sometimes you want something very spicy and sometimes you don't. Everything in the ramen was fantastic: the egg was gooey, the pork melted in my mouth, and the noodles were firm without being overcooked. The broth was seasoned so well and super yummy to where I didn't feel the need to add anything to my bowl. My total for my food plus a soda came to about $30 which is typical for the amount I got. I'd say it was definitely worth it! I will say, if you're a bit messy like I am, to wear a dark colored shirt since you may leave with a few broth stains. (Still worth it).

The quality of the meat really stands out, especially the wagyu and specialty cuts. Everything is fresh, well-marinated, and grills beautifully at the table. Service was excellent -- attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to explain the menu or help with the grill. The staff checked in at just the right moments and made the whole experience feel smooth and relaxed. The sides and appetizers were solid (garlic noodles are a must), and the drink options pair nicely with the meal. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality, atmosphere, and experience make it worth it. Overall, Manpuku was... fine. Not bad, but not particularly memorable, and definitely not compelling enough at this price point to justify a return. From a food standpoint, the proteins and sauces were the strongest part of the meal. The cuts themselves were flavorful, and some of the marinades/sauces brought the kind of richness and salt balance you'd hope for at a Japanese BBQ spot. That said, the supporting cast (especially the vegetables) felt like an afterthought. For a place charging at this level, I was expecting more intention and better overall balance across the table. Drinks were serviceable but uninspired. I kept it simple with sake and Japanese beer, while others in the group ordered martinis that were perfectly drinkable, if not especially polished or memorable. Where the experience really started to fall apart was service and overall floor management. With the restaurant being so lightly occupied, there really wasn't much excuse for how inattentive things felt throughout the night. The pacing and presence just weren't there. What ultimately took the experience from "underwhelming" to actively off-putting, though, was the fact that multiple street vendors were allowed to come into the restaurant and approach tables selling flowers and candy. It happened enough to become a real distraction, and it was especially jarring to watch staff and management seemingly do nothing while guests were being interrupted mid-meal. One table eventually had to tell them directly to stop bothering them, which should never be the diners' responsibility to handle. There are too many places in Dallas competing in this price tier to overlook that kind of lapse in hospitality. Manpuku wasn't a disaster, but it also didn't deliver on the level of polish, attention, or overall dining experience its pricing suggests. Wouldn't say I regret trying it BUT I also wouldn't be in any rush to come back.
