    Custom Poke bowl

Hidden gem in Dallas! I have only gotten their poke bowl, but I am always extremely satisfied. You can order as many of the toppings as you like. Some are an additional surcharge (such as avocado or seaweed salad). This is great! I hate having to choose at poke places. You fill out a card with your bowl, featuring base, greens, proteins, toppings, sauces, and crunchy extras. My favorite is a combination of white rice with the spring mix. It's so yummy. The service is nice, and they bring your poke bowl to your table when they are done making it.

Love this place during the day. But the night crew almost never gets it right.. Clearly state... dressing in side.. but the bowl is smothered in mayo...why?

Wouldn't drive out of my way for this spot, but would stop by if I was in the area and craving sushi! What I got: An order of salmon nigiri and the Greenville roll. The cut of salmon on the nigiri was gennnnerous & the roll was very good as well. Personally, most rolls kind of taste the same to me so it wasn't all that. Only complaint, the rice wasn't the best - some grains harder than others and it was cold. Environment: Hole in the wall vibe. Very clean and plenty of seats

Love this place. Sweet family that owns it is always so nice and accommodating. I've had their poke and lots of their sushi and it beats the expensive fancy sushi restaurants in quality and price.

Great little sushi happy hour spot. If you happen to stumble upon this area, they have some great rolls on the menu and the place is clean and smells nice inside. There's not much to the service because it feels like if subway had sushi, but slower. Plus you don't go to sushi restaurants for the service. Not fancy at all. It's chill experience with some quality. A step above fast food.

I got a poke they offer as a standards option and it was meh. Fish was fresh but overall taste was very simple. Having poke in other states in the US, you know how delicious it can be. This one is unfortunately not. Maybe it's a Dallas thing and overall you can't get good poke here - after all this place is highly rated. Staff was very nice though.

New review for COVID protocols. I get take out from here about once every couple of weeks. I used to exclusively dine on the butter kids roll (watching the carbs so no rice is a major plus!). I recently decided to try the bowls and boy am I impressed! Can get them on a bed of greens (fresh spinach and kale) so no carbs again. I am a big fan of this spot and they are doing a great job with the pandemic and protocols. They have sanitizer everywhere and have a great shield protecting the food from guests. I order on their website and the food is always ready when I arrive. I also recommend their happy hour specials but you have to call to get those deals. All in all, a great spot with delicious, fresh food!

My favorite Poke place. Loveee their Poke bowl, with salmon. And Charles sushi rolls are must try, so delicious, warm welcoming, pretty nice cozy place. The place you want to come back to eat again and again.

Visiting from Nor-Cal and we stopped in because we were in the mood for sushi/sashimi. The dining area was very clean and well stocked and the employees were very friendly. My Bestie ordered a bowl and I ordered a bowl of miso soup, a salad and a sushi roll. Sometimes miso can be saaaalty as heck, but this one was perfect. My salad was the perfect portion and the ginger dressing was not overdone (not too little or not too much). I was happy to see my roll come out just before I finished my soup and salad so there was not a long wait time in between. My roll was delicious!!! The inside was imitation crab with avocado and raw tuna on the top. I loved this choice. Not sure when I'll be back in town but anyone that is local looking for great sushi, don't pass this restaurant up. It was a great experience. Good job!

Always delicious, quality food with great service. I've gotten poke bowls here a few times and I'm always pleased at the fresh ingredients. Today I decided to try the Alaska roll, and while their sushi is a little pricey for the casual vibe of the place, the roll was so well-prepared and yummy. The workers here were friendly and prompt with my food as usual. I'll continue coming back!

Good sushi - fish was fresh, avocados plentiful in the Hawaii roll. The prices were ok, not great, for the portion size.

The inside is tiny and there isn't even a proper "waiting" area. I've also tried coming here before, and there was also a long wait. I'm glad I decided to stick it out this time. We ordered the Wagyu sushi, Yakitori, Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, and the Tomato Ramen. The Wagyu sushi is torched right in front of you! The Wagyu was incredibly tender and the sauce was delicious. My only *nitpicky* critique is the rice was ever so slightly too moist, but that didn't stop me from inhaling the sushi. Next, the Yakitori was phenomenal. I've never had such tender chicken in my life. There was a nice layer of delicious sauce coating the skewer. Again, just a really nitpicky feedback I have was that I wish the Yakitori had the tiniest bit more char to it, but nevertheless was an incredible bite, and I'd 100% order again in a heartbeat. Onto the ramen - easily hands down one of the best ramen I've had in DFW. The broth is flavorful, and I love the noodles. I'm not sure if they're handmade from scratch, but they had the perfect thickness and chewiness. I also loved generous the portion of cha shu slices. Most other places only give you 1-2 thin slices, but that was not the case here. The pork was tender. The ajitama was solid too, although I prefer more of a soft-boiled egg. While the meat portion is more generous here, the tonkotsu didn't come with many vegetables. A lot of other ramen places I've been to will have corn, fried garlic, etc as default, but those are all additional cost add-ons here. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it's the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great. Personally, I still prefer traditional ramens but it was certainly a nice culinary creation to try. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. Just be aware there may be a wait, and because they're so busy, you do have to proactively flag down staff. However, the staff are still really nice despite all the tasks they're juggling at once.

Overall: 4.7/5 [dine in]…read more Our sushi chef was Jayden and he was so nice. He checked in with us throughout the meal to make sure everything tasted good, offered to cut our hand rolls in half so we could share, and even gave us a salmon belly on the house. Black Cod Nigiri ($6): Best bite of the night and it was on the seasonal menu. It was cooked and I'm not sure what they did to it, but it was absolutely phenomenal. Salmon Truffle Ponzu ($18): My second favorite dish of the night. The salmon was super fresh and the truffle ponzu elevated the whole thing. Scallop Foie Gras ($24): Beautiful presentation and good but surprisingly not as flavorful as the salmon truffle ponzu. I was expecting more umami from the foie gras. Salmon Belly Toro Nigiri ($16): Salmon belly with fatty toro topped with ikura. Delicious and melts in your mouth. Toro Wagyu Uni Nigiri ($22): Fatty tuna, A5 wagyu beef, and uni nigiri. My husband thought it was fun to eat, but said he would not order it again. Nodoguro Nigiri ($13): I looked this up, and it's apparently a rare high end deep sea fish from Japan known as the toro of white fish. Based purely on taste though, I thought it was okay and did not compare to the salmon belly. Kanpachi Cherry Blossom ($6.50): A pretty rosy pink color with a subtle cherry blossom flavor. Okay in terms of taste compared to the other fishes we had. Ami Ebi Nigiri ($10): The sweet shrimp was a bit too raw for me. Crab Uni Butter Nigiri ($12): I did not really taste the difference between the uni infused butter and regular butter so I am not sure it is worth the price, though it was still good. Snow Crab Handroll ($7): So much better than imitation crab. Recommend out of all the handrolls we tried. Eel Handroll ($7.50): Not my favorite but my husband said it was one of the best eel he has ever had. Lobster Handroll ($12): Good but nothing special. Volcano Roll ($28): This took the longest to make and was the last item we received even though we saw them start preparing it at the beginning of the meal. The presentation was beautiful and Jayden even sprayed gold on it for our photo and video. It comes with snow crab, avocado, lobster, and bay scallop topped with eel sauce and was really yummy with lots of seafood. The only downside was that the roll underneath broke apart easily which made it hard to eat. Fresh Wasabi Root ($10): We watched them grind the wasabi fresh which was cool to see. It doesn't have a kick to it though so I wouldn't order it again since I like a tiny bit of spiciness. Matcha Mojito ($15): Not for me. It had a bit too much club soda. Yuzu Saketini ($15): I liked this one more than the matcha mojito. The yuzu flavor was prominent and it kind of reminded me of a Lemon Drop.

For the nigiri I had the fatty tuna, a5 wagyu, and king salmon. They were all absolutely delicious and warped me to Japan. I was reminded of the same quality and taste - which checks out since they import their fish from Japan! The special kome roll was so delicious I ate it very slowly to savor every bite and memory of sushi in Japan. For dessert I had the deep fried cheesecake - I think the last time I had this I was 12 at Mr. sushi in Boston and all my memories came back. Grapes were too big though but everything else A+ The matcha tonic - I can't find it online but it was an incredible balance of fizzy, sweetness and matcha. The complexity of the drink makes me want to try more!
