The food was both delicious and beautiful. I had the lunch combo and swapped the California roll for salmon, which was super fresh. The other two rolls were perfectly crispy and tasty. My friend had the Lover Roll, which was great but actually spicy (I think the spicy mayo had Tabasco). Overall, I highly recommend!

Went to big D to try some prime rib. That was slated for Sunday brunch so what shall we do about Saturday lunch? We did some shopping and ended up at Sushi Mocki. Not my GF's favorite cuisine, but she found a noodle dish that met her approval. There is zero chance I could name every roll that hit the table. We literally ordered half the damn menu. When we thought there wasn't anything left more food showed up! I can however touch on appetizers; we kinda went wild there too. Good but foodservice grade dumplings. Shrimp Panko were perfectly fried and paired well with the dipping sauce. Favorite bites were the Beef Tataki with Ponzu and Sriracha. Runner up was the Hamachi with thinly sliced Serrano peppers. Main reason for the 4 star nod was the service. This dude never let our drinks run dry and busted his rump bringing plate after plate after plate. Probably the most sushi I've consumed in years. We spent the next 2 hours walking it off at the fancy mall down the road.

Restaurant was not very busy so had quick service and food was exactly as expected (in the best way). Had the rainbow roll which was very good! Will return for a chill sushi restaurant vibe.

Really wanted to love this place since it's a stones throw from the house. Unfortunately, the sushi is very average BUT the staff and hospitality are amazing. I came for lunch with a lunch date and we got the gyoza to start. We also got the SMU roll, some salmon sashimi, and the big time roll. Everything was pretty underwhelming. The specialty rolls were over done with spicy mayo and creaminess. I get that some of these should have that but it was just over the top. The sashimi quality was more of what you'd see at a grocery story than at a restaurant. Which is totally fine as long as you know what you are getting. The highlight for me was the big time roll. Super cool presentation and tasty. Still over creamed with the spicy mayo but it seemed like there was some fish in there somewhere! The host was a super warm, welcoming, nice gentleman. He's what salvaged this into a 3 star instead of a 2 star experience. All in all, I'm a bit bummed about the spot. Wish I would have fallen in love!

The best freshly brewed green tea in town. Amazing staff as well

Had Sushi Mocki for dinner for the first time and it was really good! It is an intimate place, perfect for a chill date night. It's located just below the Angelika Theatre so it's a cool place to check out before or after a show. We were greeted by our server right when we walked in and the service was very friendly, good and prompt. I tried the ahi tower which was tasty and I got the shrimp tempura roll, which was also delicious. Hands down would go back again!

Really great sushi spot with lots of options. It has a long list of appetizers and wide variety of rolls. The salmon boat was just salmon sashimi with crab mix inside with a quail egg yolk on top. Pretty tasty for simple bite, the yolk provides a lovely creaminess that makes it taste luscious. The white tuna nigiri was sliced thick and was very hardy. The smu roll was flavourful and had a good mix of toppings with a nice crunch from the tempura flakes. It tasted very fresh and well prepared. The dallas roll was a bit of an odd ball. It reads on the menu like an elevated Rainbow roll. Instead, it's kind of a mixed fish salad with no sauce or anything. It made for an interesting texture i like, but my wife did not. We will be back to try the riceless rolls and some sashimi. Our server was wonderful as well.

Found out Sushi Mocki through instagram, so decided to give it a shot. I came here with 2 people so we decided to sit outside since it's quite small inside. Our waiter was really cool and helped us pick out which rolls we wanted to try. We have 2 instead of 3 because one of people in my group did not want to eat. The rolls we got were uptown and lovers roll. Highly recommend the lover rolls, it was amazing! The uptown was good as well. The shrimp tempura was alright. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. The sauce that it comes with also was okay, it doesn't give "thai chili".

I went here for lunch and I have to say I had an amazing experience. The manager was so kind and personable and the restaurant was very clean. I loved the art work on the walls was vibrant! Everything we ate was so fresh and so delicious! I am looking forward to returning soon

I want to extend a huge shout-out to our waiter, Vivian, for giving us insight on the food and bars/places to check around in Dallas! For the nigiri I had the fatty tuna, a5 wagyu, and king salmon. They were all absolutely delicious and warped me to Japan. I was reminded of the same quality and taste - which checks out since they import their fish from Japan! The special kome roll was so delicious I ate it very slowly to savor every bite and memory of sushi in Japan. For dessert I had the deep fried cheesecake - I think the last time I had this I was 12 at Mr. sushi in Boston and all my memories came back. I appreciate that their reservation site provided all the information I needed to make an informed decision (pricing, how it works, etc.). I checked in at 7:35 for my 7:45 reservation, we weren't seated until 8:10. The hostess was apologetic about the wait. The restaurant itself is in a basement and it's a typical quaint chef's experience with about 10 seats in an intimate space. I loved the decor and vibe. The staff was very friendly, they all introduced themselves and walked us through how the omakase experience worked. We had a 17 course tasting menu and I enjoyed every bite. Loved that the chefs explained every dish and gave us the origin of the fish. My favorite was the Kanpachi, but everything was delicious and tasted fresh. I had a yummy mocktail and our "spirit guide" let me try a non alcoholic champagne which I loved. After dinner we were led into Ginger's which is a speakeasy next door that I've been to a few times. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The only thing I would change is the number of seats. I felt cramped.
