Went into Ser to have some drinks to end our night because the other lobby bars were super crowded. So so glad we did. Eric was a FANTASTIC bartender. Master of his craft. Engaging. And made some of the craftiest cocktails I've experienced (and I've got a lot of experience). 100% recommend. If I lived in Dallas, I'd be back. Finally made it to SER Steak for social hour on our last day of our trip, and honestly, I wish we had gone sooner. The gyuchang chicken was a standout, easily one of the best things we tried. Drinks were also excellent, well-balanced and worth exploring. Eric, our server, was fantastic, attentive, and friendly and full of great local recommendations that definitely elevated the experience. Overall, a really enjoyable way to wrap up the trip. So I had really high hopes and some of my experience was good. They comp your valet when you eat at the restaurant. The hotel decor is beautiful and they have so many things in the hotel to make your stay convenient. The restaurant is on the 27th floor so the view is amazing. We had a reservation because we were celebrating a birthday and we were sat quickly. And then our experience faltered some. It felt like because we didn't order the way our waiter wanted us to, if felt like he was not super helpful during our meal. My husband had to pull him aside to order bread because he wouldn't take our order until our whole party was there. When we did finally get to order, it took a little while to getour food, even though they did not seem incredibly busy. They also charged my husband $5 to bring him a small saucer of house made steak sauce. The steak was just ok. My salmon was pretty good, we also enjoyed the brussel sprouts and mushrooms but we did not care for their version of Mac and cheese. We also tried to order some brussel sprouts to go and he made it seem like it was a problem but we wete able to get them. For the prices I wish our food and experience was excellent a but it was just meh. After we paid, the waiter seemed nicer. He took birthday pictures for us and helped resolve a problem our friend had with parking. I wish he had that same energy while he was waiting on us. read more

Came here for a Happy Hour with my team and it would definitely be described as a mixed experience! It opens at 5pm and the elevator does not take you to that floor until then ! But it's not that spectacular with a view of some freeways ! Service began really, really slow - we waited quite some time for drinks and even then several team members were forgotten! Drinks were also hot and miss - French 75 was poured to a different level for each person that ordered it and the champagne was a little flat! We had to request plates and utensils when food was brought out but it got better after that! Caviar churros were okay - a little chewy but the crudo was delicious and the basics - French fries and bread were delicious l! Had our 10th anniversary dinner here during a 3-night long stay in the hotel. We were seated isolated by a window with a beautiful view. The food was superb. I was most excited for the bone marrow which we were able to take home for my doggy to enjoy afterwards! We're happy with our memorable experience here. The written card from the staff was so sweet. He made the experience all the more memorable. We opted for the prefixed menu that's available now thru July; Salad: Caesar (Best Bite ) Entree: Surf &Turf (Steak and Prawn) Dessert: Lemon Olive Oil cake w/ Raspberry sorbet Best bite was the Caesar, hand down, but I'm a Salad Snob. It had just the right amount of dressing, and the garlic bread crumble is chef's kiss. I didn't miss the croutons at all. Meat was grill to perfection with a great sauce and just the right amount of creamy potatoes. It also comes with a side of onion jam, yay! Now dessert, this is not your tradition lemon olive oil cake. If you are looking for strong lemon flavor, opt for something else. Although it's tasty, I couldn't taste any lemon at all. We recently attended a dinner party here celebrating a friend's birthday. The view (from the 27th floor) and ambiance were absolutely wonderful! The live piano music was soothing and made the atmosphere relaxing and very romantic. Our server (Keith) provided excellent service and did an amazing job taking care of our party! He explained the most popular items on the menu, made suggestions for first time guests and made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable celebration. There were mixed reviews among our party about the food and it was overpriced. We had lobster bisque soup, crispy Brussel sprouts, Mac-n-Cheese and Parker Rolls. Everything was ok but the soup was delicious. If you're looking for an upscale dining experience near downtown that is not crowded and cost is not a factor, you may enjoy it. I went for a birthday dinner and overall, the food, view, and service were excellent. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the dishes were flavorful -- I genuinely enjoyed the experience. However, a couple of issues impacted my visit: 1. Payment for large parties: The restaurant only allows one form of payment per table, which meant the person who invited me had to cover everyone's meals, and we had to reimburse her afterward. For large groups, this is very inconvenient and caused unnecessary disruption. 2. Handling of personal items: While taking pictures, I asked if I could set my bag for leftovers on a small shelf at the host table. The host agreed, but another staff member moved it to the floor, which caused disruption and was uncomfortable for me and the group. While I loved the food and scenery, these experiences left a negative impression. I might return in the future, but I hope the restaurant addresses these service issues to prevent similar situations for other guests read more

We were celebrating a birthday and came here for a llate dinner with family and friends. The waitress did not give good service and we felt a bit rushed most of the time. She kept trying to pick up dishes off the table that we weren't done eatting. She even forgot to pack my side dishes after taking them off the table and I requested them to go. She was too busy trying to get our party out of the restaurant. The food was decent but i felt it was a bit over priced for some of the entrees to be so plain. Located atop the Hilton Anatole, Ser has a nice view and great ambiance with some live piano (at least on the evening we were there). We started with the oysters and Parker Rolls. The Parker Rolls are fantastic and while I don't love that a venue like this doesn't just have bread included, they were delicious. The oysters, not so much. No small fork provided, which wouldn't be an issue except that they are completely attached, so it was basically a struggle to get them out.... And the grapefruit granita (in place of mignonette) is a huge mistake. Unless they change this, don't get the oysters. Too much is focused on making dry ice pour fog over the table and not on actually having a good dish with this one. So one hit and one miss. For mains, the platinum ribeye was a solid 4-star. Very good, but not a best-in-class steak. Something you'll be happy with, but not dreaming of your next trip back. Accompanied with an add-on bearnaise, which might as well have been a dollop.... Definitely not enough. Overall, the rolls and ribeye held their own. Was a bit pricier for what you get, but you might be paying a bit for the view and location too! read more

My husband and I came here for an early dinner on a weekday, since we were staying at the Hilton Anatole. The restaurant is on the 27th floor of the Tower in the Hilton Anatole. We reserved a table in advance via OpenTable which wasn't necessary on a Wednesday as the restaurant wasn't too busy. The inside is very nicely decorated with multiple hood ornaments displayed near the elevators and near the check in area. We were seated near the window with a nice view of Dallas downtown. The service was excellent, our server Keith was attentive and friendly. I appreciated that he checked with the kitchen in regards to an allergy I had. As a steakhouse with elevated dining experience and nice view, expect to pay a lot more for the experience. For two people with a drink each, one appetizer, an entree each, dessert and tea cost about $200 not including tip or tax. A delightful experience atop the 27th floor of the Hilton Anatole - despite an incident with the fire alarms going off. My wife and I came by to celebrate our 10 year dating anniversary. We made sure to mention this and requested best seating in the house, which we think we received. We were seated next to a floor-to-ceiling spanning window. The views of downtown Dallas were simply immaculate. Better than even the scenery viewed from the restaurant at the reunion tower, which is on the 40-something floor and whose whole selling point is that view. We came by during restaurant week so ordered from that menu but also chose to order a seafood tower as an appetizer from the regular menu. All items within the tower were delicious. The items from the restaurant week menu were delicious as well. However, the steak, which was a wagyu, felt a tad lacking. Now, before we got our main course, the fire alarms went off. Initially, this seemed like a false alarm, but the alarms continued going off and thus prompted a majority of the guests to go down 27 flights of stairs. Fortunately, it was just a faulty alarm that triggered the system. We had to wait ~30 mins to get back up since the elevators were shut down. Once back up, the staff made sure to seat us immediately and get our courses out again. All in all, a fantastic establishment that we can see ourself dining again. read more

I loved the chimichurri sauce that went with it, and the lamb was cooked perfectly, medium. I got fries with this, wished I got a different vegetable as they came out cold and dry. The Texas Honey Cheesecake ($16) was so good and I recommend that or the chocolate cake ($22), which is enough for like 4 people! Although I went alone, the food and the drink is what made each visit so amazing. Went for the happy hour, stayed for the dessert. They have $10 signature cocktails and items on their bar app menu that were very good. I was able to try the perfect pear, black Cadillac, and Can't be beet cocktails which were all a must try. I also ordered their espresso martini that was really tasty, but not on the happy hour menu. Food wise my favorites were the corn chowder and the gochujang chicken. I tried calling for a reservation a few minutes before they opened so I tried calling back after they opened and still NO answer. I then tried to get the hotel manager to call and they had no luck. As you can see this restaurant is poorly managed and they don't care about customer service as evidently they don't always turn the elevator on when they open. Our waiter was polite but my water sat empty on the table for several of his times he came out to check on us. I even asked for more water and it went on deaf ears. I would not even give them another chance and would go to another Steakhouse instead. I have eaten here several times and each time they have performed worse than the last time. It wasn't too loud or anything and the guy was pretty decent and singing some good songs! Sorry didn't get a pic of this Chicken karaage: 6.5/10 flavor wise I really enjoyed the chicken but it gave sweet and sour chicken more than the crispy karaage I've experienced elsewhere. Others at the table didn't really care for it but I enjoyed it and would consider getting again. 10 oz filet w/seasonal crab: 9/10 this filet was amazing. Cooked almost to my specifications of medium well - some areas were still a tad too pink but I got over it. The seasonal crab which was one of the enhancements John Michael made, was phenomenal. Bone in ribeye: 10/10 the person in my party enjoyed this steak and gave it a 10/10 due to the flavor, size and how the steak was cooked. No complaints Half chicken: 10/10 I know - chicken at a steakhouse? But this chicken was good. It was a tad salty to me but it was crispy, French fries: 10/10 Fries at a steakhouse? yes, my friend wanted fries and they really enjoyed them. I will say they aren't as thin as I expected which is a good thing. Mac n cheese: 4/10 Not a fan. I'm really picky about Mac and cheese and the table didn't care for it. It lacked flavor for me. While staying in the hotel we came here for a large business party. They have several huge rooms in the back, all along floor to ceiling windows that give great views of Dallas. The food served was great! They had several stations of food set up and it all looked and tasted really good. They had several bars with top shelf spirits as well.
