My boyfriend and I have made this our anniversary tradition. Last year we loved the experience and this year it was no different. First of all, is this restaurant perfect? No. But what has us coming back is their consistency and attention to detail. The space is gorgeous and each room brings a different vibe to the dining experience. We were sat in the darkest of the rooms that was very romantic, and thankfully the music wasn't too loud. When we were seated we found a frame on the table holding a message congratulations us on our anniversary, with our names included. It was very sweet! Our server was prompt, attentive, and very charming. She asked us questions about ourselves and also gave great recommendations throughout the night. The drinks were good! However, the Passionate Kiss started to taste very chemical forward the longer it sat (I'm a slow drinker) so I only finished half of it. Not sure if it was because of the print on the foam originally or what, but it wasn't pleasant. I got the scallops and loved them, especially since I was able to try their orzo with it that normally comes with the salmon instead. The scallops were tender and the flavor was rich and well balanced with the rest of the plate. My boyfriend loved his chops and devoured everything. He also got the Potatoes Au Gratin and couldn't get enough. They were very rich and had great flavor. I had previously seen reviews from others saying the potatoes and other dishes were bland but that was not our experience. The rolls were one of the best parts. I wish I could whip butter like that at home. Towards the end they brought us a couple of glasses of Prosecco to cheers with, and a complimentary dessert (the Samoa sundae). We also ordered the Chocolate Decadence which was incredibly good. The goal is to come back next year, and plenty of times before that as well. Evelyn is absolutely stunning and delivers on the ambiance. The restaurant gives full Hollywood glam energy, paired with an 80s-inspired soundtrack that instantly sets the tone for a fun night out. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite match the experience for us. To be fair, several friends highly recommended the restaurant and spoke very highly of the food, so this may have just been an off night. Still, first impressions matter. I ordered the salmon cooked medium, but it arrived slightly overcooked. My husband requested a medium steak, but it came out medium rare in the center while somehow being medium well on the outside. The meatballs felt like they were missing something flavor-wise, though the calamari was good. The sides -- mac and cheese and loaded mashed potatoes -- were also a bit underwhelming. My daughter's lobster pasta was just okay as well. On a positive note, the service was solid and the Old Hollywood cocktail was perfection. Well I heard so much about this restaurant that I tried to get a reservation for my birthday, but could not because they were so booked up. I had to book out five weeks in advance to get this reservation. That said, completely worth it! We were put in the Ruby room, I believe with the bar. I meant to try to get the room with the dancers, but didn't remember what the name was, so we made our way over there when the dances came around... Absolutely adorable This was a complete experience. Our server was absolutely phenomenal. She gave us great recommendations. She was very personable. The food was amazing!!!! We started off with the roasted cauliflower appetizer, the Wagyu cheesesteak bites, a seafood bisque, a Caesar salad, and a BLT wedge. Our main entrées were the jumbo sea scallops topped with a bump of caviar, prime ribeye with a side of truffle tallow Parmesan fries and a filet mignon. Truly blown away by this restaurant! I loved the low lighting, the decor and the food. I started my meal off with a delicious espresso martini and the went for one of their specialty cocktails to pair with my Philly sliders. The house salad I had was SO good. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu. My only complaint/reason for removing a star is that it was quite noisy, noise definitely travels in the restaurant. The other room with a bar had dancers coming through every 30 minutes or so doing dance routines to wedding music. The dirty martinis were pretty standard. The cheesesteak bites had the most perfect bread for the situation and it should be generally illegal to use any other bread prepared any other way for cheesesteaks and lobster rolls at large. I was in the area for work and decided to stop in, and I'm very glad I did. The ambience is gorgeous. The space feels polished, inviting, and perfect for both a celebratory dinner or an elevated night out. Celebrated a belated Valentine's Day here this past week. We've heard about this restaurant and wanted to try it for a special occasion. Our reservation was at 6:45 pm and we decided to get here an hour early for a couple of cocktails at the bar to experience the Ruby Room. The Ruby Room was beautiful. As were the bathrooms. Drinks were great, I had the house martini. We also ordered the tuna sashimi to snack on. Ponzu sauce was good but I thought the fried onions on top was a little out of place. We were told they would come get us from the bar at our reservation time, and they didn't so we had to check back in with the hostess. They got us sat promptly. And had a great table. Our server greeted us promptly and explained some of his favorite items off the menu. We ended up ordering the fried calamari and shrimp. We shared the bone in ribeye and ordered the mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was very good. But not spectacular. Service was great and our server brought a couple of tastings of wine for us to try and decide between, which was very kind. All together service is a 5/5 Food was a 4/5 I think there are better steakhouses in Dallas. But the ambiance here is unmatched so far. read more

First let me start off by saying this a beautiful place. The ambience to me is super 70's from the red leather seats, to the round bar and down to the music. They played the Jackson 5 and it just set the mood! My waiter was Daryl, he was a very sweet guy! Very attentive and even read the notes from my reservation acknowledging my bfs birthday! We ordered. Evelyn is a swanky steakhouse with so many cool areas. Each area is unique and full of charm. Even the bathroom is a picture worthy experience. There are 6 rooms so make sure you check them all out before you leave. The parking is valet only and if you drive too fast you will miss the entrance of the restaurant. Once on site you can walk the red carpet to the front door. In December 2025 there were a lot of fur coats in the house, so make sure you dress up a bit. The food and drink: They have specialty cocktails that were quite tasty Parker House Rolls: Don't waste your time ordering the expensive rolls. Online I kept reading about them but they were like rolls you can get at HEB but they added 4 different flavor butter. Not worth the money or the stomach space in my opinion. Appetizer: wagyu cheesesteak bites- these were phenomenal! Only served with 3 I think and a little pricey at $18 but worth it. Fries were good but they made a big deal about truffle this and that but it didn't do anything to elevate the taste in my opinion. They are cooked in beef tallow so they were good. I especially loved the old Hollywood glamour theme and how it was inspired by one of my favorite books The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid! If you want to take pictures with your girlfriends this is the place. I mean they serve prosecco in the bathroom so that gives you an idea of what to expect. There are a few different areas in the restaurant that give off different vibes, but I feel like wherever you eat you'll find what you're looking for. My waiter was really nice and sweet! He took his sweet time to walk me through the menu and recommendations. He was very social, it wasn't just "get my job done" it was more of a genuine interaction. Decided to give this spot another try with a friend for an early dinner. Upon arriving, valet was quick and polite. We reserved in the Ruby Room and it's definitely a more chiller vibe than their main dining area (Piano Room). Our waiter, Ghandey was attentive, knowledgeable of the cocktails/menu, and provided great service. I ordered a seven deadly husbands and enjoyed this drink. The amount of sweetness balanced the bourbon whiskey very well - definitely a must try! For apps, I ordered the wagyu meatballs and yellowtail sashimi. The meatballs aren't spicy at all (so don't be afraid to try it) but I still enjoyed it. The yellowtail could've been sliced thinner but the ponzu and relish was a delicious touch. For mains, I ordered the scallops with a side of au gratin potatoes. The scallops were cooked well and the champagne beurre blanc was a great addition. The only let down - the asparagus was overcooked. I did like the potatoes but could've done without the bacon (if I'd known it came with it I would've left it off). Foodie Alert! I finally had a chance to dine at this swanky establishment. And I will say the vibes are everything! Beautiful decor, love the restrooms (loved the champagne hour), great service. However, the food was just meh... it was okay to me. Everyone really hyped this place up, and I really thought the food was going to be mouthwatering, but that wasn't the case. Also, we initially came for happy hour and were set to be in the "ruby room", I believe. That's where the happy hour takes place, but when we modified our reservation, they moved us to the Chandler room, and we didn't realize we wouldn't be able to experience the happy hour, which is only in the "ruby room". When we mentioned it to the manager, he apologized and said next time we have to write in the notes section that we want to do the HH. Who knows, I don't recall seeing that on their site. So we didn't get a chance to experience the wagyu cheesesteak tower. But we did get it as a regular appetizer, and it did not disappoint. Honestly they should make the Wagyu cheesesteaks a dinner option as well. The meatballs were so bland. It had NO seasoning at all, I mean absolutely none. We sent it back. It was not good. My friend got a steak, and it was just OK. No seasoning at all. I got the lobster pasta, and it was pretty good. It needed a little salt and pepper, but overall it was good. The drinks were OK. I don't know. I really expected the food to be a 10's across the board and it wasn't. I let them know that we were celebrating my husband's birthday. It was such a nice touch that they hand-signed his birthday card. After dinner, they also brought out ice cream with toasted coconut on top. It was such a treat! We ordered the wagyu cheesesteak appetizer, which was even better than it sounds. I ordered the scallops, which made my entire week better. My husband ordered the wagyu strip. We shared the mac n cheese and mushrooms sides. We were full before dessert came out, so I ate like an absolute queen the next afternoon. I absolutely recommend Evelyn for special occasions! It tops my list for return visits. As for seating area recommendations, I recommend mentioning who will be joining you. My husband and I enjoy a more lively experience, so we were seated near the disco ball bar. I think there may be more suitable areas if you wanted to have a happy hour with colleagues. I wish I could recall our server's name. She was an absolute gem. So polished and all the qualities you look for in a server for a high end experience. I feel like very few restaurants adhere to a dress code anymore, so I enjoyed a nicer experience. I was visiting Dallas and my best friends kept raving about this place and how pretty it looked sooo we had to go! The exterior is beautiful and every detail of the decor was well thought out. Our server's name was Jerry and he was GREAT. Very funny, provided great recommendations and worked hard to ensure our time here was everything it should be. We were celebrating one of the girlie's birthday and they were very accommodating and hospitable. The food was tasty. Get the wagyu cheesesteak bites. We shared the bisque, steak and rigatoni. All were tasty. Steak was cooked perfectly. Lastly the women's bathroom was beautiful. Be prepared for the girlies taking pics inside. I was obsessed with the patterned tiles in the stalls.
