While they were getting our table ready, they brought us complimentary Prosecco, which was a really nice touch. The inside is honestly an experience by itself. You first walk through the main bar area, which is beautifully lit and decorated, and then you make your way into the main dining area where the whole atmosphere is just a complete vibe. Our table was already set up with a birthday card and flowers, which made the night feel even more special. Our server was amazing--super attentive, hilarious, and genuinely a great dude. He took his time explaining the menu and guided us in the right direction with our food selections. Now the Wagyu steak... absolutely PERFECT. Easily one of the top 3 steaks I've ever had, and honestly it might be #1. It was cooked perfectly, incredibly tender, and literally melted in my mouth. Every bite was worth it. It was our first visit, and while I understand they offered a limited menu to accommodate the holiday rush and maintain consistency, the food was unfortunately very disappointing. I ordered the steak, and my partner had the chicken pasta. I wasn't expecting a huge steak, but I also didn't expect one that barely fit in the palm of my hand. I ordered it medium, but it came out closer to medium well. The pasta was decent, but honestly I've had better at small local restaurants. For the price, neither dish lived up to our expectations or looked anything like the photos we'd seen in other reviews. The service was okay, and I'll give the staff some grace since Valentine's Day is one of the busiest nights of the year. The drinks were strong, but nothing memorable. Probably the most glamorous place in Dallas! There are seven dining room rooms and they have a DJ on the weekends. I highly recommend to go for cocktails and a dessert. It was delicious. We were sat in the darkest of the rooms that was very romantic, and thankfully the music wasn't too loud. When we were seated we found a frame on the table holding a message congratulations us on our anniversary, with our names included. It was very sweet! Our server was prompt, attentive, and very charming. She asked us questions about ourselves and also gave great recommendations throughout the night. The drinks were good! However, the Passionate Kiss started to taste very chemical forward the longer it sat (I'm a slow drinker) so I only finished half of it. Not sure if it was because of the print on the foam originally or what, but it wasn't pleasant. I got the scallops and loved them, especially since I was able to try their orzo with it that normally comes with the salmon instead. The scallops were tender and the flavor was rich and well balanced with the rest of the plate. My boyfriend loved his chops and devoured everything. He also got the Potatoes Au Gratin and couldn't get enough. They were very rich and had great flavor. I had previously seen reviews from others saying the potatoes and other dishes were bland but that was not our experience. The rolls were one of the best parts. I wish I could whip butter like that at home. Towards the end they brought us a couple of glasses of Prosecco to cheers with, and a complimentary dessert (the Samoa sundae). We also ordered the Chocolate Decadence which was incredibly good. The goal is to come back next year, and plenty of times before that as well. Evelyn's is THE place to go if you want to celebrate a special occasion! They have champagne in the lobby while you wait for your table. We came here to celebrate our engagement and they had a little sign and added a surprise touch to my fiancé's cocktail. I think it needed more savory rather than sweet. The steak frites was great though, I enjoyed the slightly spicy sauce it came with. I had to book out five weeks in advance to get this reservation. That said, completely worth it! We were put in the Ruby room, I believe with the bar. I meant to try to get the room with the dancers, but didn't remember what the name was, so we made our way over there when the dances came around... Absolutely adorable This was a complete experience. Our server was absolutely phenomenal. She gave us great recommendations. She was very personable. The food was amazing!!!! We started off with the roasted cauliflower appetizer, the Wagyu cheesesteak bites, a seafood bisque, a Caesar salad, and a BLT wedge. Our main entrées were the jumbo sea scallops topped with a bump of caviar, prime ribeye with a side of truffle tallow Parmesan fries and a filet mignon. The other room with a bar had dancers coming through every 30 minutes or so doing dance routines to wedding music. The dirty martinis were pretty standard. The cheesesteak bites had the most perfect bread for the situation and it should be generally illegal to use any other bread prepared any other way for cheesesteaks and lobster rolls at large. This is a place to go to for looks and ambiance if you don't care how your food tastes. If the food tasted anywhere as good as it looked, I would be hooked. There were so many weird plating and preparation decisions. The crab cake was excellent, but it was downhill from there. The bisque was good but the lobster did not taste fresh. The salmon was terrible. It was cooked well but it was not Ora king salmon because it had no flavor whatsoever. I don't know why the chef removed the skin before serving, the bottom was soggy and unappetizing. The buerre noisette was bland, and asparagus undercooked. The fries were crispy and rich because of the cooking technique, but then to pair it with a rich aioli with no tang made no sense. The tomato chutney had some tang but was way too sweet. Celebrated a belated Valentine's Day here this past week. We've heard about this restaurant and wanted to try it for a special occasion. Our reservation was at 6:45 pm and we decided to get here an hour early for a couple of cocktails at the bar to experience the Ruby Room. The Ruby Room was beautiful. As were the bathrooms. Drinks were great, I had the house martini. We also ordered the tuna sashimi to snack on. Ponzu sauce was good but I thought the fried onions on top was a little out of place. We were told they would come get us from the bar at our reservation time, and they didn't so we had to check back in with the hostess. They got us sat promptly. And had a great table. Our server greeted us promptly and explained some of his favorite items off the menu. We ended up ordering the fried calamari and shrimp. We shared the bone in ribeye and ordered the mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was very good. But not spectacular. Service was great and our server brought a couple of tastings of wine for us to try and decide between, which was very kind. Evelyn is a swanky steakhouse with so many cool areas. Each area is unique and full of charm. Even the bathroom is a picture worthy experience. There are 6 rooms so make sure you check them all out before you leave. The parking is valet only and if you drive too fast you will miss the entrance of the restaurant. Once on site you can walk the red carpet to the front door. In December 2025 there were a lot of fur coats in the house, so make sure you dress up a bit. The food and drink: They have specialty cocktails that were quite tasty Parker House Rolls: Don't waste your time ordering the expensive rolls. Online I kept reading about them but they were like rolls you can get at HEB but they added 4 different flavor butter. Not worth the money or the stomach space in my opinion. Appetizer: wagyu cheesesteak bites- these were phenomenal! Only served with 3 I think and a little pricey at $18 but worth it. Fries were good but they made a big deal about truffle this and that but it didn't do anything to elevate the taste in my opinion. They are cooked in beef tallow so they were good. I did enjoy the Wagu macaroni, don't expect anything cheesy, it's more cheese pasta vibes. But the taste itself was pretty good. The fries were meh, and they come with a weird "cocktail" sauce which didn't pair at all. Some members of my party also mentioned the wedge salad and the whipped potatoes were good.
