If you're looking to celebrate a special occasion this is your place. Our server and the entire staff were so friendly and attentive, they truly made my boyfriend and I feel special. We did the Chef's Tasting Menu and I'm so glad that we did. Everything was truly incredible from start to finish, but the standouts to me were the Tartare, Beef Dumplings, and HWD 6oz Filet I mean wow even just writing this review my mouth is watering. The flavors and quality were out of this world, they're more than deserving of that Michelin star. The cocktails were incredible and you really can't go wrong with anything here. The interior itself is beautiful and very clean.

Stillwell's has officially become my favorite Dallas go-to for its perfect blend of Texas luxury and incredible service. You absolutely have to start with Cowboy Hour, the atmosphere is unmatched and it's the best way to kick off the evening. The beef dumplings are a total revelation, succulent, rich, and packed with flavor, but the true stars of the show are the HWD beef cuts. The quality of the Akaushi steak is world-class and cooked to absolute perfection, especially when paired with their delicious sides like the decadent truffle mac and cheese or the perfectly charred Brussels sprouts. My only small suggestion to the team would be to introduce a more refined and expansive mocktail menu to match the high level of creativity found in the rest of the bar program.

Walking in felt like stepping into J.R. and Bobby Ewing's private dining room. The décor is dark and moody yet grand and opulent. The bar area is separate from the formal dining room, where we were seated beside a massive, central fireplace with cowboy hats lining the walls. The vibe is pure upscale Texas cattle-ranch luxury. From the place settings to the linen tablecloths and napkins to the tuxedoed service, everything felt intentional and impeccably curated. Service was formal in the best way--they even served from the proper side each time. The attention to detail was next-level, down to removing the seeds from the lemon slices. This is truly a meat lover's paradise. No part of the cow goes to waste. Portions are generous, and even ordering only appetizers felt like a full four-course meal. The crab bake was a huge mound of fresh, buttery crab--absolutely delicious. The pork belly over grits was an excellent pairing; the grits were fluffy, creamy, and melted on the plate, while the pork belly was rich and flavorful. The bone marrow dish missed the mark for me--it arrived as a bone filled with shredded beef mixed with marrow and topped with scrambled eggs, but I was hoping for traditional marrow and bread. And the bread--fluffy, soft, and paired with incredible butter. Pace yourself. The true standout was the beef dumplings. The gravy was so good I shamelessly used the bread to soak up every last drop and nearly licked the bowl. Tomas took exceptional care of us. I stepped away for what turned into an impromptu restroom photo shoot and returned to find him waiting patiently at my seat (!!), my napkin perfectly refolded and placed back in my lap once I sat. That level of service says everything. The night ended perfectly with a decadent, moist chocolate cake for my daughter's birthday. When the check arrived, we were treated to chocolate-caramel candies that actually contain bone marrow--proof that no part of the cow goes to waste. We loved the experience and can't wait to return.

Peaches in Paradise! Highly recommended!!! November 2025.

Food is phenomenal!!! Located within The Hotel Swexan, this steakhouse delivers Texas traditions and delectable food! Shoutout to our server, Scott! He was hospitable, professional, and extremely helpful and friendly! My cocktail, Peaches in Paradise, was smooth with just the right amount of sweetness that will sock you away, if you have too many. Now for the food..... I had the Pork Chops, and they were moist, tender, juicy, and flavorful. They were the best pork chops I've ever eaten in my life!!! Hands down, if you're a pork chop lover, I promise you that you won't be disappointed! Seriously, I've NEVER eaten something so delicious in the pork chop category. I've tasted their filet mignon, and it was a hit! It is in my top 5 category for best beef, in my life. My dessert.... The Bananas Foster. Again, this was a huge hit for me. The presentation of food is impressive. The Texas vibe is most definitely present in this restaurant! Pricey?? But, of course! But it's worth the money! Great lively atmosphere in the restaurant and the bar section. It definitely draws a crowd! Highly recommended! You snooze, you lose, if you don't make your reservations on OpenTable. Yes, I'm returning, when I'm in Texas. Definitely in my dining rotation! Cheers and Enjoy!

4.8 Alright now, let me tell you about Stillwell's because whew... this place showed OUT. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and I was torn between three restaurants -- heavy debate -- but baby... I'm so glad I chose Stillwell's. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was giving elevated, warm, grown, and sexy. Not stiff. Not try-hard. Just right. They started us off with a handwritten birthday card at the table. Listen... that kind of personalized touch already lets me know the attention to detail is serious. Exquisite. Thoughtful. Classy. Now let's talk about this bread. Buttery. Soft. Served warm with room-temperature butter (as it SHOULD be). I know that may sound basic, but trust me -- too many restaurants fumble this. Never serve cold bread. Ever. Okay, soapbox over Next up: dumplings Melt-in-your-mouth tender. The sauce? Phenomenal. I almost asked for a straw, but I kept my dignity. Barely. Entrées? * Lamb shoulder -- tender, flavorful, and seasoned like somebody's auntie was in the back minding her business and cooking with love. * HWD ribeye -- perfect temperature, perfectly seasoned, no notes. Just respect. Sides came through STRONG: * Brussels sprouts -- cooked just right * Potato purée -- smooth, rich, and comforting And then... the cheesecake. Hands down, this is NOT your average dessert. Fresh, velvety, light -- it had no business being that good at the end of an already perfect meal. I was quiet for a minute, and if you know me, that says a lot. Note: Dessert should be comp'd for special occassions as a thank you! Shoutout to David, our server -- attentive, professional, and on point all night. The general manager even stopped by to wish my wife a happy birthday, which sealed the deal for me. That's how you do hospitality. And let me add this because details matter: Bathrooms were impeccable. Clean bathrooms = clean kitchen. Period. Take-home message: I'm honestly not sure why the Yelp review score isn't higher. ‍ If you're looking for tasty food, top-tier service, and an elevated ambiance, Stillwell's is that girl. We'll definitely be back.

Had such an amazing anniversary experience at Stillwell's! They provided us with a very sweet hand written card at our table thanking us for celebrating with them which was such a nice touch. Both the service and food were so good. The Parker house rolls are delicious and the crab cake was amazing. The steak also did not disappoint. It was so buttery and had the perfect cook to it. Honestly, such a good place to celebrate a special occasion or just go for a nice dinner.

My girlfriend and I visited Stillwell's last night for our 2 year anniversary and had a great experience! The food was phenomenal and the service was great. Our waiter, Tomas went above and beyond to ensure our experience was one to remember. I didn't catch the manger's name, but she was very accommodating with our Harwood gift card that seemed to be giving their internal systems an error. The ambience in Stillwell's is great for a romantic date night! We started with the beef dumplings which I would highly recommend (the sauce they are covered in blew us away). Shared the kale salad which was a nice palette cleanser. Split the 12 oz Harwood beef filet which was cooked to perfection. Ended with the chocolate cake which was HUGE

Andres was a phenomenal server, the food melts in your mouth, the flavors are expertly paired , the wine is decedent and delicious and Beef dumplings w sauce - this stuff melted IN MY MOUTH. IT WAS SO GOOD. The flavors melded together well, the beef falls apart in your mouth, juicy and delicious, it melts into the sauce like room temp butter on a hot pan. They give you complimentary bread and butter. Now let me tell you: that bread was so freakin good , i had to close my eyes and clench my fists. it's fluffy, savory, soft, chewy. I'd come back for the bread alone. Softest bread ever. Then my 12 oz filet mignon came out, cooked medium and of course, the steak melts in your mouth. The sauce is a mix of A1 and something sweet. The steak itself is well cooked. I got medium because that's how you should be eating your steaks. I ordered 3 sides: Brussel sprouts, loaded baked potato, and Mac n cheese. The brussel sprouts taste soooo good ! The flavor is amazing, my man doesn't even like Brussel sprouts and he said they tasted so good. The loaded baked potato was pretty typical , it tasted good but it's not heavily seasoned. The Mac n cheese was Suuuuper delicious and kinda thick. It's like 4 diff cheeses, has a real unique flavor profile that wasn't my favorite but i still give it high marks because of the actual taste and how well it was prepared. Our server, Andres, was very attentive, hospitable, helpful when i wanted to figure out what wine i wanted to pair with my steak. I chose the Bordeaux that Andres recommended and it paired perfectly with my steak. He was funny as well as prompt. Overall my visit was a 10/10 , everything tasted great, the atmosphere was perfect for my birthday dinner / date, the servers were attentive and very knowledgeable. I can't wait to come back !

My friend and I decided to celebrate Galentine's Day here and we were thoroughly disappointed. To point out the highlights - they offer valet (tips), the restaurant (bar side) is decorated with a Texas twist, and they offer a variety of cocktails, wine, and other liberations for you to enjoy. The customer service was very overwhelming as we had multiple individuals coming to our table throughout the night - drink/food orders, check ups, etc. Although, we did appreciate the attentiveness they offered it resulted in a confusing dining experience. We ordered multiple appetizers for the table - tuna crudo, beef dumplings, and lobster bisque. We did enjoy the dumplings and lobster bisque but the crudo was lacking. We were expecting more of a citrus flavoring instead of the sesame oil which was overpowering. For my dinner, I ordered seared scallops and sides for the table - creamed corn, roasted mushrooms - and my friend ordered brussel sprouts and crispy potato salad and for her dinner - ora king salmon. The tastiness of the side was expected but they could've came out a little hotter (temperature). The brussel sprouts had a good crispness and sauce layered on top and I was pleasantly surprised by the crispy potato salad as the flavoring was good. I was content with the creamed corn and mushrooms. The scallops had a crisp top layer (which is nice) but offered a salty aftertaste and I didn't enjoy the sweet potato purée it came it. Again, everything was lukewarm. My friend unfortunately didn't enjoy her salmon or the side it came with - bean salad - as she mentioned the mushiness of it. We finished with a strawberry cheesecake for dessert and my friend had to send it back due to not enjoying it. The night ended with my card being charged 4 times due to the waiter's confusion! One waiter brought our checks and we provided our cards but another waiter completed the transactions. Currently, I have $594.30 pending on my account and $265.21, of that, is from another customer's check that the waiter ran MY card on. This made for a TERRIBLE ending to already mediocre night. I'll definitely be watching my account to make sure all the charges fall off and the correct charge is posted. Unfortunately, I wont return here.

We tried this place for dinner and had a good time. We arrived about 30 min ahead of reservation, so we headed to the lounge area for a cocktail. They have a wide selection of cocktails, a great bourbon selection, and the bartenders were friendly. The main dining room is spacious and had romantic lighting. When we arrived at our table, we had a hand-signed card wishing us a happy anniversary. The complimentary bread and butter was tasty. I enjoyed my strip steak and my wife loved her filet. Since we were full from the great meal and decided against a dessert, the waiter gave us a complimentary glass of champagne for our anniversary. Awesome customer service. The food was delicious. Service was on the slower side, but they were busy.

This was my second time back celebrating a special occasion and I can't rave about this restaurant enough. The food is absolutely amazing, specially the Harwood filet mignon with black truffle butter. I quite literally couldn't stop thinking about it since my initial visit back in March. The service is truly top tier - the whole staff masters both professionalism and friendliness. Nick and Jenna took care of us on our anniversary and truly made our second experience memorable. To top it all off, the ambiance is the perfect match for a special occasion - the music and the lighting is just right, with unique details all around giving it a signature charm. Dining at a place of this caliber is delicacy for us and we truly appreciate the effort that everyone at Stillwell's puts into making it a special night.

When I think of a restaurant like Stillwell's, I think classic ambiance, elevated food, and incredible service -- and when all three are delivered this well, the result is a truly memorable dining experience. Located on the 7th floor of the Swexan, Stillwell's is the epitome of class and elegance paired with great food and good vibes. Service is a standout here -- and a key factor in this review. With Michelin now in Texas, I honestly believe Stillwell's could be a contender for a star based on their attentive, polite, and highly knowledgeable staff. It's no surprise they were awarded a 2024 Bib Gourmand -- a well-deserved recognition in itself. Most impressively, their service strikes the perfect balance: refined without being pretentious, which I deeply appreciated. As for the food? It never disappoints. I highly recommend starting with the beef dumplings -- they are out of this world. For my main course, I ordered the 16oz Delmonico ribeye, and it was hands down one of the best ribeyes I've ever had. The presentation was clean and understated, but you can elevate your steak even further with a variety of toppings and sauces. I chose the black truffle butter, which was a perfect complement to an already buttery, tender cut of meat. Whether you're planning a date night or dining with a group, Stillwell's is an experience worth having. This is a standout spot that truly gets it right.

I was celebrating my birthday with family and friends. We ordered a variety of starters and entree's. The starters were crab cake , chargrilled oysters, dumplings , tuna tartar. Dumplings were good. The rest was mediocre. I ordered my entree salmon medium rare and I was very specific about the way I ordered, however, it came out well done. They tried to correct it and it came out under done the second time. I didn't want to send it a third time so I switched to the scallops which were so AMAZING!!! We also ordered the lobster Mac and Brussel sprouts and both sides were very tasty. The reason why I would go back is because my server David, Derrick and Jordan managers were so AWESOME and my service was impeccable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. Sometimes it's the food and bad service but in this case it was definitely the best service and good food, not great food. It deserves a second shot. Oh! Ambience was also a plus. Great for a date night.

Me and my friends have a relationship with the long time staff as customers as well as the excellent music talent. The cause? Not precisely sure but I think it's new ownership, at the very least a new Food & Bev manager. I also know the staff is very upset about these changes and the relationships with the repeat music talent is now a mess. I wouldn't be surprise if the staff start leaving.
