This wonderful space has not disappointed us yet after three years. Once you've experienced the ambience, the level of service and the quality of the food they serve, you'll be hard pressed to find a better place the offers everything that they do. We're enjoying a sunset dinner with a spectacular view and truly scrumptious food served by a man that is truly impressive. Randy is excellent at pairing wine and food. He's a Prince amongst men. The place has become our go to for any special occasion including anniversaries and birthdays because of how we been treated by the staff here. The menu varies seasonally, the Miso Cod is EXCEPTIONAL. They have a sushi chef from a Izakaya in Japan that does it so well. I could heap accolades upon this place endlessly. Just come here... Sorry we didn't post food pics. We were too busy enjoying it!

Prefect spot to start our Dallas weekend. My husband always wanted to eat here and now he gets to take me! A great date night. Before the elevator ride to the top I was offered a tequila ranch water. We were seated at our table. My chair felt a little low for the table. But still a great set up. My husband had an old fashioned to start. We got wine to go with our mains. For the table they gave us Japanese milk bread. Very good. To start we... the menu is huge! We got the oyster Rockefeller and we both had the delicious lobster bisque. But for the price you pay I wished I got more than two lumps of lobster in my soup. But it was still good. Our mains. Was sushi. We wished there was more to the main than the small portions we got. Good thing we did two appz. But we could have done with some more... So needless to say we had to get dessert. I indulged in the turtle creek peanut butter bar. A little dense and perfectly paired with my light main option. My husband got the caramel basque cheesecake. Wow! Yummy So glad we got to experience the Crown Block together. We could reserve this as a nice date night.

This has become our kids favorite birthday celebration spot! We went a couple of weeks ago for just a celebration. We were greeted with a ranch water before the elevator ride at the lower lobby. The staff is always super friendly and attentive. The service is always top notch and the food can come out fast (almost too fast at times!). We've had drinks, the tuna cone, the chicken nugget app, the burger, the popcorn shrimp, gnocchi, and mac and cheese. Everything has always been tasty. The spot is $$$$ but you should know that before showing up. The burger was a little on the dry side but all the other food was very tasty. They have an extensive wine collection and the ambiance is outstanding. Make sure you ask for a window table to enjoy the amazing views!

After having such a wonderful experience last time we decided to come back here for my birthday. This experience was nothing like the one before. We were about 10 minutes late for our reservation because of traffic. We tried to call the restaurant 3 times to let them know and there wasn't an answer. When we got there we told them we had been trying to call to let them know about us running behind. She brushed us off and said "oh we were really busy." When we got off the elevator you talk to the next host/hostess for your reservation. Because we were a little late the gentleman let us know that we had 2 options. We could get the table he had booked for us but we would have to be finished in a certain amount of time or they could put us at a different table. We chose to get a different table so we wouldn't feel rushed. Our server was lovely. She was patient with me and my indecision about almost everything. SHE IS THE REASON THERE ARE STILL 2 STARTS. While the food looked good. Almost everything came out wrong. Under cooked or it just tasted nasty to us. I appreciated their effort for trying but this wasn't the best birthday meal.

Being a Vegas local I instantly thought of our restaurant at the Stratosphere when I heard about Crown Block. That being said I needed to come give it a try. I came here for a pre dinner drink + appetizer but I wish this could have been my main stop for the night. There were so many options to choose from on the menu it was hard to decide, but the shrimp is definitely a must! You definitely get the NYC feel as you overlook all of the tall buildings while enjoying great cocktails. This has to be a place to try when visiting Dallas.

The View was immaculate, the customer service was good. The food was a 5/10 for me. There were 4 of us and our bill was $530. That is including 1 drink and 2 of the Bloody Mary bar. Honestly it was a nice meal but definitely NOT worth the cost. I am not sure I will be back but it was worth it to try it one time.

My family and I visited Crown Block for my father's birthday and left with full hearts and even fuller stomachs. While some might assume a restaurant with such a view is a "gimmick," Crown Block proves exactly why it's featured in the Michelin Guide. We started with the large Seafood Tower, which was well worth the price. It featured a fresh salmon crudo, delicious East Coast oysters, and a top tier of jumbo prawns, lobster tails, and crab claws. For our mains, we shared the Cowboy Ribeye, Porterhouse, Lamb Rack, Branzino, and Green Circle Brick Chicken. While everything was excellent, the Cowboy Ribeye was the standout--seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection. The ambiance is lovely; it's dimly lit with elegant table lamps, allowing you to fully enjoy the Dallas skyline. This was my second visit to the Crown Block. The first time, was not as positive of an experience for food, price point, ambiance, and views. If I had left a review back then, it would've been 1 star. This second time was so much more noteworthy. Our server (I believe his name was Elijah) made the night even better. He was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring our glasses were never empty. Overall, my family and I were really happy this second go and will definitely be back!

We went here for a Christmas party and let me just say, it was the best decision we made! The food was good.. they had a variety of meats, we really liked the brisket, chicken was okay.. the sides were great! Potato salad, Caesar salad, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, corn bread! All of these were so good! Also, since we don't drink alcohol we asked if the bartender could make us a nonalcoholic drink and they agreed! They made us amazing mocktails, both different each time we went for it! They said they just make it then and there, so creative! We really enjoyed that! Alsooo the servers were quick to refill and take the plates away from the table when we were done! Anddd it was SPINNING!! Very slowly though but it was! Overall a very enjoyable experience!

My husband, mom and I came to celebrate our birthdays in Dallas for the week. We decided to come to Crown Block for the joint celebration dinner and experienced the worst service I have ever experienced. The waitress came off standoffish from the start. The whole time we kept feeling rushed and multiple times during the dinner did the servers attempt to take our plates when we were still working on our food even after stating multiple times we were still working on it. Once we told the waitress one last time we were still working on it, she proceeded to gossip and whisper about us and the exchange we had just had to two different employees right in front of our table. Then my mom ordered a ceasar salad that cost $16 and for two pieces of chicken to be added that was an extra $15. Absurd. And to top it off the waitress had asked if there were any allergies they should be made aware of, I notified her my husband has a chocolate allergy and they brought out nothing but chocolate as a celebratory dessert. Thankfully his allergy isn't severe and he can be around it. That easily could have gone bad. For such a luxurious restaurant they really need to evaluate their culinary service as it was extremely disappointing. We paid our bill and made our way out the restaurant, came across the manager and expressed our disheartening experience, he didn't even seem to care or had interest in hearing us out on why we had a terrible time.

Magical night at Crown Block! We had the private room/floor, which is one floor below the main dining area, but is incredible in Reunion Tower with full bar and equally amazing views. We had a blast dining and watching the sunset together. The appetizers and drinks are probably the best things here. Mains are filling, desserts are creative, but you are really paying for the vibes and views. Absolutely a must visit in dallas at least once!

Dinner among the stars is exactly how this experience felt. Crown Block is one of those places where you can tell every single detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the moment you arrive to the very last bite. The service was absolute perfection: attentive, polished, and genuinely warm without ever feeling intrusive. The food somehow managed to get better with every course. We started with the Rockefeller oysters (phenomenal), followed by an incredible steak that absolutely lived up to the hype. The sides were served in flights, which was both fun and delicious, making it impossible to choose a favorite. And just when we thought it couldn't get better, dessert arrived. An espresso martini tree, festive Christmas-themed cocktails in the most adorable glasses, and a show-stopping dessert served with actual fireworks. It was over-the-top in the best way. This wasn't just dinner, it was an experience. Thoughtful, elevated, and unforgettable. I cannot say enough good things about this place and cannot wait to go back.

Went here for as a birthday gift and it did not disappoint. The food was great and well presented. I enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and their intentionality in making sure everyone knew it was my guests birthday. Every person that greeted us made sure to say happy birthday. I ordered lamb and she had a filet mignon. Not to the mention the chocolate ice cream was rich in flavor! Lastly, they set up sparklers at our table. Our reservation was just before sunset which I highly recommend! The lights and music changes after it gets dark, making the mood a lot of fun! I definitely recommend going!

This is my second time here because my first time was not pleasant at all but I won't get into that. We had a huge party and our server Cyion (I know I'm spelling it wrong so sorry) and a young lady that was helpful and sweet as well. The brunch is $80/person and that includes the all you can eat gourmet buffet. At the buffet: croissants, sushi, lox, macaroons, sweets, on the spot carved meats + your choice of an entree from the kitchen and a beautiful view! I honestly believe it's worth the price point for all that is included + the quality of the buffet/all you can eat portion. I'd come here for a date, bday brunch, family visiting, etc.

Do u have to wear a suit and tie?

Hello, is this a kid friendly restaurant? TIA

Yes! But I would advise to Go earlier in the evening. I went around 5pm with my 16 month old and saw plenty (at least 6 outside of my kid) of well behaved kids there.

I got their off menu item of carne asada tacos. The meat was sooooo tender. They don't use flank steak they use a tenderloin and it just melts. The mushrooms were Devine. Glad I ordered the carne asada. The adult Mac and cheese was good but just good. Brussels sprouts were good (not the best I have had) but I think I was also just so full by this point. I loved seeing the steaks and oysters beautifully displayed, and the open kitchen was such a nice touch -- watching the chefs in action added to the whole experience. Our waiter was phenomenal -- super accommodating, attentive, and made us feel like VIPs all night. We shared the cowboy steak ($72) sliced for two and WOW... perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every bite was a moment. The sides to choose from ranged between $16-$18 We ordered the creamed spinach and it was rich and delicious. The wedge salad was fresh and satisfying. The corn brûlée? A crowd favorite -- everyone at the table was obsessed! The only miss for us was the mac and cheese -- good texture, but it didn't leave a lasting flavor impression. What truly made the night special was the energy -- the experience felt personal, warm, and inviting, making it the perfect place to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday. Wicked Butcher didn't just serve a meal... they created a memory. 10/10 would recommend for celebrations, date nights, or when you just want to feel fancy and fed.

Food - 4 Service - 3…read more Ambiance -4 Went on a Tuesday night while visiting from out of town and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was practically empty, so we sat in the bar/lounge area. The host and other staff were friendly. Our waiter came off a little smug at first and barely cracked a smile. He honestly seemed a bit annoyed that he had to wait on us, which felt very unfriendly. My friend managed to get him to loosen up a bit as the night went on though, so maybe that's just his personality. To his credit, he was very informative when it came to the main course options. The lighting was dim and intimate. Ambiance was simple and modern. I ordered the sea bass and my friend ordered the beef Wellington. Honestly, after tasting my fish, he ended up enjoying my sea bass more than his own dish. The sea bass was like butter, just as the waiter described it. If fish could fall off the bone, this one would have. It came with rice, cashews, and a ginger miso sauce. The cashews added a really nice crunch and texture and the flavors worked really well together. I thoroughly enjoyed it as b the only downside was the portion size. Like a lot of nicer restaurants, you get one small piece of fish... about the size of my pinky finger. My friend's beef Wellington, on the other hand, was just okay. He didn't say it was bad, but it definitely didn't stand out, especially compared to the sea bass. We also ordered potatoes as a side and the white truffle Caesar salad. The salad was good and the truffle flavor wasn't overpowering, which I appreciated. The potatoes were solid too and paired well with the meal. Dessert, unfortunately, was not it! We ordered the Wicked Sundae. Our waiter had actually recommended the banana pudding or the chocolate tart, but we decided to try something else. We probably should've taken his advice. The sundae tasted mostly like ice cream and was missing the main part of the dish -- the brownie. Nothing to run home about, and it also happened to be the most expensive dessert on the menu. Definitely not worth it.

Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

We were asked to wait. Waited maybe 5-10mins. No biggie, A lot of open tables were available for immediate sit down. Again that wasn't a big deal. I had asked for a booth & wanted to sit in front room. The hostess said no a problem. She handed us off to a younger hostess and she took us to a table. I told her I had requested a booth. In the front room only 3 tables were occupied. I pointed out the booth and she said that's for party of 6. However, we could have the 1/2 table/booth. Made absolutely no sense because that was for a party of 6 as well. I made this comment & she just stared at me without saying a word. I didn't want to seem difficult and took the table as she just walked away. Kev was confused as we were. No good communication skills. It was an awkward encounter. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & never was whole time there. Kev wasn't sure why she didn't move us a requested & was puzzled himself. However i apologized to him & explained I wasn't trying to be difficult, but prefer booth sitting and most times we will wait for one. We left at 1:45p and restaurant was no busier than when we arrived. Reservation/Booth or not! I guess saying all of this, your front staff need to have more people skills when dealing with your customers. They are the face and first point of contact. Again Kev was amazing & food was outstanding!

Pricey poisoning nightmare!…read more What was supposed to be a fancy celebratory night out ($725 with tip) at Drake's for my MIL's birthday ended with one of our family members in the ER and another 2 attached to the toilet (including my 72 MIL). This was roughly 6 hours after consuming seafood from this establishment. The frustrating part is we actually sent one of the 2 dishes back reporting to staff it had a strange odor/taste and was told we weren't familiar with lobster taste (being from NY this is untrue). My MIL was too embarrassed to send hers back so she ate her entire plate and my husband had about 1/4 of his before exchanging it for an alternate dish. As an emergency service provider I fully understand medical incidents like this can happen anywhere, but what prompted this review was way the situation was handled following my reporting. After reporting the incident to management we were met with what felt like an aggressive line of questioning about the members of our medical team and related details. I was told the incident would be escalated to upper management and the team would reach back out, but this never happened, even after a follow-up email. So, it's safe to say after spending a significant amount of money on what was supposed to be a special evening, the entire experience left a very bad taste in our mouths. At the very least, I would have expected some sort of gesture of goodwill or attempt to make the situation right -- even something as simple as a gift card or invitation to return for a better experience. Unfortunately, that never happened. Based on this experience, I would not choose to return and cannot recommend Drake's to others.
