Made reservations a few days prior to celebrate my cousin's bachelorette weekend. Our waitress (Rachel) was AMAZING! She brought great vibes and was nothing but sweet and attentive the whole dinner. 100/10 Let's jump into the food portion! ***Starters:*** Avocado dip - DELICIOUS! This had a lot more flavor than what we expected and the homemade chips made it the perfect appetizer. 10/10 Rainbow Sushi Roll - this was also great. The roll tasted fresh, but it is on the spicer side so don't order unless you can handle some heat. 9/10 ***Entrees:*** I got the Beverly salad and subbed my shrimp for seared ahi. According to our waitress, she said the receipt would reflect the Seared Tuna salad since there is an upcharge for the substitution but the food came out just like I ordered. My salad was fresh, bright and didn't leave me feeling heavy. 10/10 My cousin ordered the Maple Salmon. I believe the waitress said they now use gochujang sauce instead of maple. My cousin really enjoyed her meal and said she would definitely order it again. 10/10 The bachelorette ordered the steak frites, she ordered it to be cooked medium but it came out a bit more rare than she preferred. She still ate it as is and said it was tender and flavorful. 9/10 Lastly we ordered the lobster mac, this was sooooo good! The mac was runnier than I would like but the taste made up for it. I would order it again. 9.5/10
Hudson House delivered the perfect early date‑night experience. We came in craving seafood and cocktails, and the evening did not disappoint. The lemon drop and old fashioned were both spot‑on -- balanced, flavorful, and exactly what you want to ease into a relaxed dinner. We ordered a spread of oysters, sushi, shrimp cocktail, popcorn chicken, and parmesan fries, and everything was fresh, well‑seasoned, and satisfying. The oysters in particular were a standout. Service was another highlight. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and offered thoughtful suggestions without hovering -- the ideal level of attentiveness. The atmosphere struck a great balance: cozy and relaxed, yet still enough to feel special. Overall, Hudson House made for a lovely date spot, and I'd absolutely return. We spent about $240 including the tip.
Outside of this spot being very cutesy for a little patio day date I do feel like the food was just ok. Not bad but nothing stood out at my table of friends. I'll def come back and try other dishes but my French 75 was really good.
We stopped by Hudson house for an early dinner on Memorial Day before my flight and enjoyed every aspect of the experience. The restaurant is so pretty inside and the prices are good. Next time I'll be sitting at the bar during happy hour to enjoy the specials! We split a cheeseburger and Hudson salad (which was huge) and it was delicious. I could've been totally fine with just the salad! I got spicy popcorn chicken on top and the flavor of those were amazing. Our server was great, coming by quite often to refill waters and check on us. I will totally be back to this cute spot!
Wednesday out for a business lunch i decided we"d meet at Hudsons. Having eaten here previously it's always consistent, offers excellent service, tasty dishes and an entertaining crowd We started with the shrimp dynamite , tempura battered shrimp with a sweet/spicy glaze. A great opening dish they were tender and came on the bed of a fresh salad which was a nice counter texture and taste to the shrimp For entree I had the steak frites with au poivre sauce . One comment - awesome! Filet was cooked to my liking and seasoned to perfection, throw in the crispy truffle paremsian fries and then finally something new as the third item on my plate. Instead of a cold salad Hudsons added 7 days ago a warm salad of wilted spinach and cabbage - again delicious! Overall my plate was polished clean when I was done - i ate the whole portion! Tried a a few different items visiting Hudson House. We got oysters, truffle fries, popcorn chicken, avocado dip, and spicy tuna crispy rice. My favorite were the truffle fries and spicy tuna rice! Martinis are always crisp and cold here. They have a happy hour during weekdays at the bar, definitely want to come and try a burger! Always great service, great drinks and food is mostly good.
By far the best burger I've had. Really recommend getting it, as you won't be disappointed. Everything is good, from the truffle fries to the mac and cheese. You need to try it all. Cant express how delicious everything is. The service was great, everyone was extremely friendly and provided stellar customer service. Restaurant with really nice esthetics. I do recommend making a reservation because the wait time is pretty long. However, the bar is first come first serve so that's easier.
I went here Sunday after church with my husband and a couple girlfriends. We were seated upon arrival which is rare for Sunday at 1. The brunch menu and lunch menu was available. Brunch was very limited and some interesting picks. We stick with lunch which is also kinda limited. The food was okay. Nothing to write home about. The redfish was the best thing at the table. The ambiance was cute and not too loud. It's not a 4 but also not a 3.
First time for brunch here. Service fantastic as always. I got the Bloody Mary and the lobster Benedict. I normally don't go for bloody Mary's but I thought with how good their martinis are the Bloody Mary here could be really good too. And I was not wrong. It had the perfect amount of spice for me and the flavor was spot on. The lobster benedict was delicious too. Sometime when you get a lobster dish, they put a tiny amount of lobster on there. Not the case with this one. I easily had lobster in every bite and a few bites of just lobster. Also normally not the biggest fan of roasted potatoes but these were perfectly cooked too and seasoned amazingly.
I love Hudson House. This is one of my absolute top picks for happy hour (weekdays 3-6pm). Outside of happy hour, this drops to a 4*. You do have to find a seat at the bar and it can be a bit busy but I assure you that it's well worth it. My favorite is the two seats at the end on the right hand side where you're sitting in your own corner and not elevated. Start with the frozen Bellini. It never fails me and it certainly packs a punch. The cheeseburger went up from $10 to $11 but you absolutely cannot beat that price. Absolutely a perfect well-balanced burger. I'm not a pickle fan but it does come with a huge, seasoned pickle. Do yourself a favor and get the truffle parm fries. Maybe oysters and a burger are a weird combo but it somehow works here. They have all the fixings to pair. I've tried a multitude of things here but I will say the overall portion size is a bit smaller than the value so I typically come for happy hour and nothing more anymore.
------ Critics Review ------ GO! GO! GO! DYNAMITE SHRIMP: (AN EXPLOSION OF DELICIOUS!) My brain folded over behind my head! Absolutely one of the top 5 (possibly 3) best dishes I've ever had!!! CRAZY!!! Ok, the tempura batter was the most delicate I've ever had!! Very crisp and crunchy even after being tossed in the amazing sauce (hints of honey & orange with gentle spices & very savory - no heat, occasional spice warmth... pleasant - no issues.) Very unique and d b elicious!! Cook on the shrimp was perfect!!! Masterfully done. Served resting on a nice bed of mixed greens & cabbage with a lemon end (but it's not needed). Score: 10 of 10 (I'll be back!!) HAMBURGER: Very nice. Comes dressed as you want - but be sure to have standard things (like pickles) removed if you don't want them. Very filling. Super friendly staff everywhere! Melanie is the house manager and will totally VIP you - even if she doesn't know you (and it's your 1st time.) Hostesses, Giselle & Tyler are happy and have big smiles that set the tone for a great evening! And Brendon (GM) is a master. Extremely attentive to every detail and customer experience. Spends a lot of time expediting the final touches on every food item going to a table to ensure it perfect! And I saw him masterfully help a young woman who had lost her engagement ring. He made sure it was found and came by to comfort her and ensure she knew they would always take care of her. The one you want to get to know is Gulsum!! (See photos.) She is a bartender and super friendly European blonde who knows how to make you feel so special! She is a very happy person - and 1/2 the reason I come back (yes, the Bellinis are the other 1/2!) But seriously, she actually cares about your happiness and experience. She isn't just making drinks and passing them out - she makes friends. Case in point: It had been 2 months since my first visit. Before I could sit down - she said, "Hi John, want a Bellini?" Blew me away. THAT HAVE NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE!! Yes, I tip her very well for being a role model to others. Overall, Hudson House (Lovers Lane) is a perfect example of what a great restaurant team should look like. I'm extremely impressed and will make it a regular place from now on!! It's so pretty here, and the food is just as yummy as it looks. The servers were pretty attentive too. This is a good place for brunch, dates, or family dinners!
This is a sweet little place that gives you old school vibes with the bar, the uniforms and the booths! The drinks were good and so was the food! Our waitress was great and the bartender was also attentive while we were there waiting for our table. I feel for them with all the construction going on (as of Sept 2025) outside, it limits parking so much!! The lobster roll was perfect! With soft warm bread and a perfect lobster mix stuffed inside! I would absolutely order it again!
Hudson House is definitely a must-try when you're in Dallas! The menu has so many delicious options, especially if you're a seafood lover. From the fresh oysters and shrimp to the lobster roll and flavorful seafood entrées, there's something for everyone. And you can't forget about dessert--the Key Lime Pie and Chocolate Silk Pie are the perfect sweet finish! Everything was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Love Hudson House! This is such a great spot for any time of day. My favorite is the Hudson Salad--I get mine spicy, and I'm not a spice girl, but it's just the right amount of spice with the perfect flavor. I also love their espresso martini! The lemon drop martini has a Lemoncello foam that is really good, but overall, I found the drink to be a little too tart for me. This time, I tried the rainbow roll, and it was pretty good! Overall, I definitely recommend the cheeseburger and the salad. Such a great spot for a girls' dinner or date night! read more
Very good, solid spot. Cute decor, like a farmhouse meets nautical style. Had to sit at the bar for 1 due to a 45 minute wait for a table for dinner. It was 7pm on a Wednesday, so the place was surprisingly packed. Ordered: Crispy rice tuna (very good) Cheeseburger (excellent) Coleslaw (would not order again) Chocolate Silk Pie (very rich, very good) All very good. Great service. Plan ahead!! read more

The restaurant was very busy but no one was struggling and the service was 5 star. The manager was very active and busy but somehow managed to visit a lot of tables for customer interaction. Her name was Alexis. I observed her attention to detail at several tables making sure the silverware was straight. Good managers are hard to find but great managers are Rare. She is one of the Rare ones. Did I even mention the food. OMG...the presentation was 5star. The food was hot and everything was fresh. PLEASE don't make the mistake and bypass this restaurant. Sushi was really great. I will say it has luxury prices for a place that doesn't feel necessary that luxury, but it is clean and decorative. Service was kind and attentive. I recommend, great spot! read more
Location: absolutely terrible. 10/10 do not recommend. Aside from the construction, which will end at some point in the next 5 years, the parking situation here is plain bad. Tiny lot. Cars speed through and don't look. Service: very good. She couldn't have been better. Food: interesting, but good. I got the blackened redfish tacos and my friend got the French chicken and we shared a slice of key lime pie. The tacos weren't tacos, let's start there. It was a blackened redfish wrap, no where close to a taco. It still had amazing flavor and I enjoyed it! But call it what it is. The green sauce it came with was lovely but needs a little more heat in my opinion. Friend loved the chicken and has zero complaints. Key lime pie we were both puzzled about, because it barely tasted like lime. The crust had too much cinnamon that overpowered the citrus and made for an odd combination. We each could taste lime a tiny bit at the end, but we agreed it wasn't worth the calories if we wanted to eat a key lime pie, which it wasn't. Ambiance: the best! Super cute and cozy. read more

What a wonderful Sunday lunch. We started with the sushi (not pictured) the Golden Rollin removed the cream cheese honestly recommend. Having it without the cream cheese made me feel like it was perfect. I don't know what the cream cheese would've added. I loved the old school jams on a Sunday especially after church. It just made the environment so lively. Our server was so lovely and helpful. I did have to request simple syrup for the margarita so if you like that on the sweeter side, maybe do the same. But overall, I would say this was a five out of five experience. read more

I went here for the fist time for Valentine's day and had the best experience! I started off with the popcorn chicken and got it prepared spicy! It was the perfect amount of spice and came with 3 dipping sauces! My boyfriend and I then got the frozen bellini and the strawberry spritz drink! They were both delicious and affordable! We then got the cheeseburger which we heard they were known for! It was not only a big option but absolutely delicious! I highly recommend! I had plenty of leftovers and paired it with the truffle fries! The service was great and our server was so friendly. The ambiance was amazing and I will definitely be back! read more

I came for a birthday dinner and it was a really nice dinner. Our waitresses were on point with service, and explaining the menu. I got the French chicken and it was well prepared. The chicken was tender and the truffle fries were a delicious and I am not a fan of truffle. It was loud restaurant but our waitress closed the door to our private room and it was sooo much better. This salad could've been amazing. There was a weird overbearing sour taste and I was told they marinate the tomatoes in some type of vinaigrette after I ordered it and started to eat it. It didn't say anything on the menu. It's confusing because they give you a different dressing. If you order this get it without the marinated tomatoes. Maybe they have tomatoes that aren't soaked in vinegar? I'll have to try it again. Good was good. Vibe was great. Loved the ambiance. Great service but mystery sour hit me differently. read more

My favorite location used to be Lovers Lane because of the consistent great food but also the especially caring and wonderful staff I got to know over time. Unfortunately, I have to say, on Lovers Lane that changed (change of management not to the location's favor I believe). The Forest Lane location on the other hand really evolved as a favorite now due to the wonderful staff. read more

We are first time diners and boy were we totally satisfied. It was the topic of excitement the next and my friends voted as our best dinner. Great service from Christina. Oysters, chowder and avocado dip were great. The chocolate mousse dessert is next level. read more
Went with some friends and everyone enjoyed their food choices. The skinny fries were realllly good, but I got the truffle parm fries and something tasted off- maybe they added a little too much truffle oil. We also got the avocado dip and it was okay- I don't think I'd order this again. The main dishes, however, were GREAT. The French Chicken has to be the most flavorful and perfectly cooked chicken dish I've tried anywhere! Seriously, out of any other restaurant I've tried, this chicken has to be the most perfectly cooked main I've consumed. Consider me a repeat customer now! read more

Another great meal. Service is always great. Mother's Day dinner this time. Each Mother was greeted with a red rose. At our table we had the Burger, chicken, and fish tacos. All we great. Beginning to see the chicken is quickly becoming a go to choice. We did get the chocolate pie for dessert which was great. Again, the whole menu is great. Suggest making a reservation. read more

I went to the Hudson House a week ago to have happy hour with my friend. We had heard about the $3 Oysters and $10 burgers during happy hour and had to go see about this hype. It is no hype at all! It was a completely wonderful experience! It is a beautiful scene inside with plenty of white flowers, crisp linen, and an easy going ambiance. It seems like there were a good mixture between ages, table sizes, friend groups and couples. The service was great. Our waitress had many suggestions for our drink, but I'm a 'tini girl, so I stuck with my happy hour 1/2 price extra dirty martini w/ Bleu cheese olives. I ordered the fresh happy hour Oysters that came with cocktail sauce a cranberry mignonette. When I say amazing, I mean "Ah-mazing" I did not believe that I could eat all of them, but I slammed them down! They are $3 during happy hour, but there is a minimum of 6 to order. I also ordered the $10 happy hour burger. My friend ordered the truffle parm fries and the $10 happy hour burger. I cannot say enough about this place. Everything was so delicious! Is happy hour still everyday from 3-6pm with 1/2 price oysters? The online menu just says happy hour is M-F 3-6 for bellinis and martinis.
When I went last month, happy hour was 3-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and included half priced oysters and a $10 burger in addition to bellinis and martinis.
Do we need to make reservations?
You dont have to. But i highly recommend it. Lunchtime isn't too bad. But happy hour, dinner, weekends i highly recommend a reservation.
