DO NOT GO HERE!!! If I could give negative stars I would. They literally pulled me and a fellow girl friend out of the bathroom and when we closed the door to make sure we were fully covered the pulled us back out and kicked us out. Full story is that when me and a group of 3 girlfriends went to the bathroom, we were in for less than 2 minutes but I do want to note, the only people in like were men who literally told us it was a better idea to go together in the bathroom. We went in and two of us quickly back to back used the bathroom but there was some incessant heavy knocking so we opened the door to let them know it would be 2 minutes. It ended up being a bouncer and he was saying that no more than 2 at a time could use the bathroom. At this time 2 of us had gone and still were buttoning our pants but the other two were not done. We let him know we were coming out and we immediately sent out the two that had used the bathroom as soon as they had their pants up and buttoned. As soon as the two walked out, they were immediately kicked out for not coming out soon enough. Easily one of the liveliest Dive-Bars I've ever visited! Shoot pool, stand-up comedy, people watching, huge TV's playing the Simpson's, just WOW. Strong pours in Red Solo Cups; do I even need to go on? Peppermint Moonshine is served in clear plastic cups for only $3.50!! The bouncer would not let me in solely based off the way my eyes looked that night. I had a long day that began with a race at 6 in the morning. Post race, my allergies were at its peak and I kept sneezing, had a runny nose, itchy eyes - all the works. Once the bouncer stated I could not enter because of my appearance, I explained this to him. He did not even allow me to have a conversation about possibly going inside to meet the rest of my friends who he let in before me. Our go to favorite neighborhood bar. We love this place during the week and on the weekend. Drink specials during the week are always solid and you can bring in your own food too (but they have a popcorn machine in house as well.) On Friday and Saturday nights the place is usually PACKED. On one side is the bar, on the other is the dance floor, shuffleboard, pool table and more tables for sitting and chatting. The DJ on the weekend usually plays some solid hits that take you back to your high school days (or earlier.). Now the drinks, cheap and strong. If you ask for a Tito's and soda, you're getting it in a solo red cup and they're putting more alcohol then the normal bar you'd find in Uptown. Very trendy bar with very trendy people. It may be awesome for some, but not my cup of tea. The bar is like two hallways put together, so if it's crowded, you have no place to walk. The bartenders are very responsive and the people are very nice. The drinks are made well and the DJ is fantastic. The negative: There's no place to sit and the people there all seem to know one another. That's nothing to do with the bar, but the crowd there was very young and that's not my thing (probably because I'm not young). The bathroom is located in the back of the bar, there's one mens room and one womens room. Middle of your time here when the drinks get to flowing, you may contemplate going outside to stoop... the lines to the bathroom are longer than the lines to the bar. If you walk past the bar, you will be amazed to find a whole other room. I was stoked that there were chairs available and people out here, until I realized this is where people go to smoke... smoke everywhere... again, not my thing... On the opposite side of the bar is where you would go to dance. There is a pool table in the back of the room, and a shuffleboard game on the side... this was where I occupied most of my time. The area it's located in seems safe enough and to be honest I don't have anything really bad to say about this place other than it just wasn't' my cup of tea. Perhaps if I was 20 years younger I would find this place more attractive. Again, I don't have anything really negative to say about this place, and if there was a chance that on a different night the crowd is different, I may like it. The night I went it was young and trendy, and made me feel like I was 100 years old.
