This place is amazingly retro I love that it's the original architecture with updated accents They make a mean martini and have a fantastic happy hour..$5 wine or select martis/$2 domestics and $3 imports! This time I got wine to keep me out of trouble.. Bartender is super friendly It gets busy right before a movie showing but tonight it's nice and chill.. I'm taking one point off only because they are playing 60s music- just not my taste But I love the atmosphere I hope this place stays here forever..

Mildew on seals, algae thick enough the waterfall doesn't fall the length of the wall like it used to. This can't be up to code.

This place has always been quirky but it not decrepit. Now the glass bricks are mildewed and the waterfall is blocked by algae. A bartender with the longest combover I've ever seen and loose, flowing locks was refilling the ice sink and mixing drinks. Is that within food/drink service code? The bartenders and staff used to be so cool -- eclectic ages, races and types and great at making drinks & creating atmosphere. Tonight the place seemed sad.

Popcorn - 5 Friendly service - 5 Quality seating - 5 This is a great place to watch a movie and have a cocktails before hand. The seats are comfortable and you're not bunched together. The popcorn is probably the best in the industry... Kudos to them!!!

My absolute go to spot for local lounging. The place is super cute with an old school chill vibe that matches any occasion whether it be a date, happy hour, or nightcap. Not only is the atmosphere great here, the bartenders and music selection are unmatched in the dfw area. The place kind of has a Cheers feel to it, meaning there's something for everyone here. Whether you're a regular, passing time while waiting for a movie, or stopping by on your way home after a long work day, this place is sure to impress!

I've been going to the Inwood (Theater) Lounge since it opened in 84' And I'm never disappointed when I arrive. Music is always just a little unexpected and surreal, adding to its Art Deco Design and allure. The crowd too is always a bit out of place at first - then it opens up for more patrons and somehow it all fits together nicely. But the scincher is the bartender- James. His hip but cool and so professional attention to detail makes the best drinks in Town! And with a great charm. Thank you for being there!

They really need to update their open hours if they're not going to be open on Thursday nights and only on Friday and Saturday nights.

When the movie starts, the bar shuts down. Last evening they opened at 4:00 pm and quit serving about 7:15 pm. What a way to run a railroad!

A must try! A little sweet and less bitter. Ruel, the fabulous mixologist, does drinks right! My drink tasted like a NOT overly sweet cocktail, fruity and slightly bubbly. My kind of superb cocktail! The munchies they offer you are toasted Texas Pecans, and Corn Nuts! Delicious to the core! Thanks to our bartender, Ruel! I assume EVERYTHING on their cocktail Bible is a hit, just mine was. Pricey, yes. I had 2, and they were worth it! This effortlessly chic bar, located inside the Mansion on Turtle Creek Hotel, is a real hit with guests, tourists, and locals! Excellent service! A must stop! And it's really busy during happy hour and peak hours! You'll thank me later..... Cheers, Yelpers!

The hotel property is like four legs under the table - a great location, a great hotel experience, a great restaurant experience, and a entertainment experience (The Mansion Bar). At least one leg has been kicked out, one is suffering. The Mansion Bar used to have a great recipe for success - proven by how busy and regular the customers were and loyal (or was), and the top tier talent that was routine for 10+ years. Me and my friends have a relationship with the long time staff as customers as well as the excellent music talent. The cause? Not precisely sure but I think it's new ownership, at the very least a new Food & Bev manager. I also know the staff is very upset about these changes and the relationships with the repeat music talent is now a mess. I wouldn't be surprise if the staff start leaving. I'm hoping whomever is making these decisions can revert back to what was working. Dallas has a lot of great venues that will fill this void.

Went for a special night, reservations and everything, even arrived 10minutes earlier. We were not greeted by a server for 20-30 minutes PAST our reservation time, and to add on to that no water. We are typically pretty patient individuals, but eventually we flagged a waiter down, and from there the night flipped. I believe the server's name was Michael, great fellow and attentive. The FOH manager, Chris was phenomenal. Mistakes are inevitable in the restaurant industry so we understand. It is what is done after the fact that is a tell. They were great. Food was great and came out faster (On the fly). Now to the food and drink The cocktail martinis are great, cant go wrong with any. (We had the French 76 and Bleu&Gold) The Vin Scully Fries are great for the table Ribeye was great, cooked at correct temp. The Spicy Rigatoni (Zaza) was the favorite. The added sides were great complements but nothing stood out for us. Great FLUFFY cheesecake, I am not a fan of thick cheesecake, and this one was just right for the texture. Pricey poisoning nightmare!…read more What was supposed to be a fancy celebratory night out ($725 with tip) at Drake's for my MIL's birthday ended with one of our family members in the ER and another 2 attached to the toilet (including my 72 MIL). This was roughly 6 hours after consuming seafood from this establishment. The frustrating part is we actually sent one of the 2 dishes back reporting to staff it had a strange odor/taste and was told we weren't familiar with lobster taste (being from NY this is untrue). My MIL was too embarrassed to send hers back so she ate her entire plate and my husband had about 1/4 of his before exchanging it for an alternate dish. As an emergency service provider I fully understand medical incidents like this can happen anywhere, but what prompted this review was way the situation was handled following my reporting. After reporting the incident to management we were met with what felt like an aggressive line of questioning about the members of our medical team and related details. I was told the incident would be escalated to upper management and the team would reach back out, but this never happened, even after a follow-up email. So, it's safe to say after spending a significant amount of money on what was supposed to be a special evening, the entire experience left a very bad taste in our mouths. At the very least, I would have expected some sort of gesture of goodwill or attempt to make the situation right -- even something as simple as a gift card or invitation to return for a better experience. Unfortunately, that never happened. Based on this experience, I would not choose to return and cannot recommend Drake's to others.

There is no respect for the line whatsoever, and large groups of people are just consistently let in before those standing in line. Given the fact that this is more of a cocktail bar than a club, this is highly abnormal. That being said, it's easily one of the most pretentious places for nightlife in Dallas. Would definitely seek out another location if you would simply like a fun night out. Monkey Bar next door is a fantastic alternative.

One person in our party asked the waitress for a drink recommendation only to be brought out a totally different drink that did not live up to the hype. We ordered several appetizers and a few sushi rolls. We contemplated dessert at one point but were convinced otherwise when one roll never made it to our table & it took several minutes after we were done with our meal for our waitress to check in with us again. We ultimately decided to just ask for our check and to our surprise, some of the things we ordered were never noted on the bill-- great, but what a bummer of an experience for our first time. Whatever food made it out to our table was good and it came out in a timely fashion. Ambiance seemed to have more of a "clubish" feel with a DJ set up in a corner and the scene becoming more lively as the night went on. I've read a lot of other reviews for this business that have confirmed my doubts. It seems like Lounge 31 has potential to return to what it once was. Perhaps giving it another chance in the future may bring promising new perspective.
