Had a quick overnight trip and came here for a drink and to get a feel for the city. Although the venue is beautiful, service needs some work. The checkin process was great. They told us we could grab a drink at the bar while waiting on a table but the bartenders were too busy talking to regulars that our table was ready before we were ever acknowledged. When we were finally sat at a table nobody acknowledged us for 15-20 minutes. We had to go back to the host stand to ask for a server. I was really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately it fell well below my expectations. We came here with a party of eight to celebrate a birthday, so we were hoping for a memorable experience. Instead, it ended up being a disappointment. The food was just okay. The menu felt very basic--more like the chicken nuggets and burgers of Mediterranean cuisine--when I was expecting something with the authenticity and quality of places like Darna. The service was where things really went downhill. Despite the restaurant not being busy, our table was barely attended to. My party and I repeatedly had to get up and find someone just to ask for missing items, order additional drinks, or request things that should have been brought to the table in the first place. To make matters worse, we were charged for an extra bottle that we never ordered and never received. Keeping the table clean was also a struggle. We asked multiple times for empty plates and glasses to be cleared away, and it wasn't done until after the fourth request. The only highlights of the experience were the ambiance and the drinks, both of which were enjoyable. Unfortunately, they weren't enough to make up for the disappointing food and poor service. It was frustrating to have such a poor experience during a birthday celebration, especially when we chose this restaurant expecting a great meal and attentive service. There were a good amount of ppl there but they also had a quite a few tables avaible. The service was a little slow, we didn't get greeted for a long time that I had to ask the host for our server, hence the 4 stars. We ordered sliced chicken Makakeesh (Lebanese pizza) and kofta kebab. They were both very delicious, but the pizza was kind of small, it's a size of a personal pizza (about 6 inches). The Kofta kebab was a good portion though. For cocktails, we ordered a fire dancer and zingaro. Both too sweet to our liking. Overall, Saaya has a great social atmosphere with good food! read more

I went to Saaya for the first time for a friends birthday and it was a meh experience. I was initially stopped from entry because you apparently need ID to even enter. I was so surprised because I just came to eat and it was like 7pm but the bouncer eventually relented which was kind of him because I didn't understand why I would need to be ID'd. Service at the bar was pretty good. It wasn't too busy and we were able to get our food and drinks pretty quickly. Spicy feta 7/10: nice level of spice and good flavor. The portion size was good, I would've preferred it with soft pita bread slices versus the crackers. And also more feta. I was missing the feta aside from the small amount of crumbles on top. Felt more like a sauce than what I was expecting. Chicken shawarma 8/10: enjoyed the flavor of this and it was a good portion size. I would've liked more of the pickled veggies but other than that, this was a good dish. The flavor from the chicken really came through - it was well seasoned. Drink (can't remember the name) 5/10: I didn't really care for this drink. The presentation was decent but I wasn't sure what flavors I was expecting or experiencing. I'm truly shocked it's taken me this long to write a review for Saaya. I absolutely love this place. I've been here for cocktails, dinner, and karaoke, and each time has been amazing. This is the place you bring out of town guests that don't mind hookah in the air. One stop shop for food and fun. Saaya is absolutely beautiful - Indoor and outdoor, the decor is everything. I first came here for a bar crawl I curated for a small group of girls. I made Saaya the last spot on the crawl. I rented the igloo with the karaoke, and we had a time. We had technical difficulties with one of the mics at first, but they were so sweet, they gave us an extra hour. Great customer service. The food, the hookah, it was all good. Now the cocktails, AMAZING. Don't sleep on the mocktails. These are real cocktails with amazing ingredients, I get the mocktails and add alcohol My favorite cocktails - Midnight in Mykonos, Ambassador, and Sunset in Marrakech. Mocktail - Greek Gardens, and add a shot! The hookah is so smooth, and lasts for some time. I always get gum mint. Food wise, I always get the platters and share with the table! Visited Saaya in Dallas for my wife's birthday and had a great experience. We booked our table online, which I highly recommend because the place was crowded even on a Thursday night. We arrived around 11 PM, and there's a paid parking lot right next to the restaurant. The vibe was lively, loud music, crowded, and full of energy. Food was fantastic! I love the ambience at Saaya but parking is only valet in the area so most of our group took a ride share. Note that weekends do get pretty busy and reservations are recommended. Seating is only for 2 hrs and they keep to this when they're busy. We did the ultimate feast, which provided us with plenty of food variety, which were all delicious. Mediterranean food is good, they offer hookah inside and outside, bars, live DJ on the weekends, belly dancers, and domes you can step inside for an intimate gathering for karaoke. My only negative experience was interaction with the parking attendants when leaving. When I arrived there was no one to park me, so I paid to park via parking lot machine.
