Upscale steakhouse with a variety of tasty dishes and cocktails! I stopped by Drake's for an early dinner/happy hour with friends and enjoyed my experience! The atmosphere gives Old Hollywood in the best way. Service was friendly and attentive! I got the Mexican cocktail to drink, which was wonderful. I loved the tartness of the limoncello foam! We ordered the Cauliflower Dynamite, Onion Rings, Spicy Caesar, and Pasta ZaZa. Everything was delicious, tasty, but a bit on the heavy and rich side! My personal favorites were the cauliflower and pasta. Both were perfectly saucy with a hint of spice! Would definitely come back!

gorgeous place, very old school aesthetic. had a great time here celebrating an anniversary dinner. our server was great super attentive and really friendly.. the food and drinks were amazing! I got the honey truffle chicken and it was cooked perfectly. it needed a little salt but once I got some?? delish! the whipped potatoes and creamed spinach with it were awesome too. my bf had the filet and he loved it, I had a couple pieces and it was so tender. fur stinks I had the french 76 and espresso martini both were so smooth and he had the mexican, it was super strong. we got strawberry cake to go and I don't doubt it'll be delicious as well.. 100% will return

Went to Drakes for a birthday dinner for the first time. Definitely enjoy it. The server was very attentive and recommended us some great options in the menu. We stared with some Dynamite Cauliflower and Curly Fries and they were very good. For entrees we ended up ordering pizza, chicken parmigiana, honey chicken. The food was all great. The places had a live performer playing classic music. This time I was not able to try their cocktails but definitely will next time around.

Updating my review due to the unfriendly rules and non collaborative attitudes with those managing and booking reservations. Seeing restaurants talk about the struggles to stay profitable but then making it a hassle to have a group of 8 instead of 7 yields zero sympathy. The absurdity of $120+ minimums for 8 people vs none for 7 is beyond reason and only leads us to finding another establishment for our get together. This is now the 3rd time we have been hassled and will be taking our business to another fine establishment in Dallas that value us as a customer. We are the order only water and share a salad only types, so it's not us being cheap or wasting their time.

Went to Drake's for a birthday recently and had a great experience. Started the meal with the Vin Scully fries which were maybe the best fries I've ever had. Easily a must order and something I would definitely get again. Then we ordered Ozzy's Pizza, the Zaza Pasta, and the Parmesan Crusted Snapper. The main dishes took a while to come out but were well worth the wait. The snapper was delicious and light and the Zaza pasta had a great balance of creaminess and kick. The restaurant itself was pretty full, and had an amazing live singer who was covering music that fit the Old Hollywood, leather booth vibe of the restaurant. I had put that we were celebrating a birthday on the OpenTable reservation and there was nothing, so to see others get a candle and a card with their dessert was a bit disappointing but life moves on. Definitely will be back!

Tried Drake's Hollywood and got a ribeye steak that was worth every penny. The customer service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. I went during the day and didn't need a reservation, but still had a five star experience. Highly Recommend!

My husband and i celebrated our anniversary here and we had us a nice time. The vibe was very Good Fellas. It was so nice with a Hollywood movie scene feel. They had good music rotating with a live singer which we enjoyed. Everyone was dressed very nice. It's dress code enforced which I love. It's rare these days to go somewhere where people are actually wearing nice clothes to dinner. Very cool! We started off with the Vin Scully Fries, we did not expect it to be such a loaded plate. I think that appetizer is more for a table of four. They were really good. We ordered the JD's classic pepperoni pizza for the entree. The pizza is delicious! Every single piece was devoured. We had a few glasses of the Peju Legacy, so good!! Very smooth and delicious. Love the dark Hollywood vibe, we definitely will be back!

    1. They were supposed to have a card for my guest at dinner and didn't. 2. Didn't take our coats and small booth was site tight, they finally offered. 3. Steak knives and utensils and plates not given to us when food came out. 4. Steak was not cooked how we ordered it but they never came back to check.

Restaurants these days seem to focus more on the vibe than the actual quality of the food, and this place was no exception. The restaurant itself is beautiful -- an old Hollywood theme with a classy atmosphere that definitely stands out. However, when it comes to the food (especially for a steakhouse), the quality just didn't justify the price. Although the place was a bit dark and pretty loud as people are clustered up next to each other. Not sure if its my age or not, but I had to stare hard at the menu to read it in the dark LOL! Food: Vinegar Scully Fries (8/10): My wife absolutely loved this dish, definitely the highlight of the night. Loaded curly fries with cheese, bacon, jalapeños, and chives. For me, it had a bit too much cheese, but at least it was quality cheese and not the canned nacho kind. Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice (7/10): A nice, simple appetizer. The crispy rice had a good crunch, and the tuna was fresh. The presentation was on point and helped boost the overall impression. Parmesan-Crusted Snapper (6/10): This was my wife's entrée, and she found it pretty underwhelming. The waiter had mentioned it was one of their most flavorful fish dishes, but it ended up being too lemony, even for someone who enjoys citrus with seafood. Shep's Hawaiian Ribeye (4/10): I was hesitant about ordering this one since it came with a ginger-based marinade - apparently a house favorite. I don't mind a marinade, but this was overly sweet and just didn't work for a steak. The biggest disappointment, though, was the temperature: I ordered medium rare and received a clear medium. My friend had the same issue during his visit the week before with a different dry aged ribeye. For a place that calls itself a steakhouse, properly cooking a steak should be non-negotiable. Overall: I left pretty disappointed. The atmosphere and service were nice, but the food, especially the steak fell way short of expectations. For the cost, this was probably the most underwhelming steakhouse experience I've had in DFW. Honestly, I would have preferred a perfectly cooked medium rare from Texas Roadhouse over this. Overall Rating: 4/10

I cannot get over how good this place was. I have lived here all my life and I am mad it took me so long to get here. Drakes staff was exceptional and made my birthday so special. From the ambience to the drinks to the food everything was amazing! I have been telling everyone I know to try drakes because the staff is amazing and the food is even better! I'm in love and this may have to be a birthday tradition!

Incredible birthday choice - definitely book a reservation and enjoy yourself! Chicken parm has the spicy rigatoni, and the crab cake is solid crab meat.. cannot go wrong!

Drake's Hollywood knows a thing or two about ambiance. It has an old money vibe to it when you walk inside. If you're into dark, moody spaces then you'll feel right at home here. I also have to give them props for their playlist. This was my "farewell" dinner to my single years before my wedding & call it a coincidence, alignment or just really good taste but I was surprised at how many songs they played that I had on my curated wedding playlist lol. Kyle was our waiter & he took great care of my cousin and I. The food was good, though I must admit nothing really stood out in terms of flavor with any of the dishes & we found everything to be on the cooler side temperature wise. What was lacking in the food however was made up for in the drinks. They know how to make a French and a martini.

The Caesar, Vin Scully Fries, and Crab Claws
    Briana D.

We celebrated a small birthday dinner here at Drakes and had a fabulous time. The service is impeccable and our server was so knowledgeable about the menu as well as gave us recommendations to order. We started with the Caesar, fries, and crab claws. I think my favorite started was the crab claws as they come swimming in butter and chives and are so fresh and clean. As for the main, we were a group of 4 and shared the porterhouse and it fed us perfectly. We got 3 sides and shared everything and ordered the perfect amount. So excited to come for a weeknight cocktail and explore the menu more.

    Ask the Community - Drake's

Their website says they offer HH Monday-Friday from 4-6p...so what are the HH features and prices?

Hello. Are yall looking for any bands for live performances? Www.buffalosons.com?

I'm turning 22 this Thursday and I want to celebrate it here I just moved here so idk the atmosphere of this place is the food good is it kid and family friendly?

They have pizza however, I wouldn't say it is the most kid friendly restaurant. The food is good. Great place for adults

What night is the quietest? I have 2 family members with hearing aids that sometimes have difficult times hearing in a loud atmosphere.

It is a settle atmosphere at night. The music is nice and low, I didn't have to raise my voice at all. I think they should be good with their hearing aids.

When does the bar usually fill up? Will a group of 4-6 people have a hard time getting a drink together at 6pm on a Saturday?

    Impossible with that many

What's the secret to getting a reservation here on the weekend? I have been trying to get reservations in November for a month now and have zero luck.

There honestly isn't a secret lol...the only reservation that I was able to get was a month out. I stalked the site and got lucky. It may be a late night reservation, but hey...you get in and eat good

    What the dress code?

    Dressy/business casual

Are kids welcome? I'm looking to go early right when they open.

You can take them but it's more of a date type of atmosphere

Is it reservations only? If so please give me other affordable but nice dinner spots in Dallas?

No it's not but it's desirable. As it's usually busy. I've only been able to eat once at the bar when I walked in. That was luck !

What night is the best to have dinner with live music?

Fri and sat after 10 and Sunday after 6pm

Do people dance with the DJ or is there not an actual dance floor?

It's not an actual dance floor but it's a little room in front of the stage to dance.

    Is it kid friendly?

Drakes is amazing but wouldn't be a place I bring children.

Is there live music on a Sunday night?

    Yes ! Jazz, piano etc

Has anyone been on Friday or Saturday night when they have a DJ set? Wondering if it's loud or just the right volume. I would hate to have loud music ruin a nice dinner with friends where we want to sit and catch up.

We went on a Friday night and there was no DJ but the music was so loud that you had to almost yell to talk at table. Our Children ages 28-35 said the music was a loud as a night club And they certainly did not expect that for a fine restaurant. I… Read more

Do they have live music at nights? Piano player or such?

The hotel property is like four legs under the table - a great location, a great hotel experience, a great restaurant experience, and a entertainment experience (The Mansion Bar). At least one leg has been kicked out, one is suffering. The Mansion Bar used to have a great recipe for success - proven by how busy and regular the customers were and loyal (or was), and the top tier talent that was routine for 10+ years. Me and my friends have a relationship with the long time staff as customers as well as the excellent music talent. The cause? Not precisely sure but I think it's new ownership, at the very least a new Food & Bev manager. I also know the staff is very upset about these changes and the relationships with the repeat music talent is now a mess. I wouldn't be surprise if the staff start leaving. I'm hoping whomever is making these decisions can revert back to what was working. Dallas has a lot of great venues that will fill this void.
