Food Excellent Service Excellent Ambience Excellent Tried the stuffed Flounder for the first time. I have been to several of the locations and tried several of the items on the menu. This was just my first stuffed flounder. It was so good even the leftover that followed me home reheated to make an Excellent meal the next day. I very seldom save and reheat fish but this was so good even reheated. Anaya's has been my go to for seafood for a couple of years, I think they are now even better. Just one customers opion so if you have not tried Anaya's maybe you should and then make up your own mind. I've eaten here a few times and not sure why I haven't made a review yet but recently went again with my friend and I tried the soups they offer and now I'm addicted to their roasted poblano soup, lol. I also tried the margarita flight and they aren't bad either, could be a tad bit stronger but flavor profiles were good. I also tried their oysters for the first time and they were good and cheesy like I like them. We've gone to another Anayas so we're familiar with the menu. The fish and chips were really good and well seasoned. My wife enjoyed her meal as well. I was surprised the place wasn't all that busy. Mixed feelings on our dinners. However, service by Felipe was great. The crab cake appetizer was two large cakes and a small salad. The crab meat was gray and bland. The special grouper Oscar was ok but I didn't care for the hollandaise sauce. The big plus for the night was the blackened catfish and shrimp combination. Decided to come here for brunch and the three stars are for the service, which was good and the food didn't take long to arrive. Now on to the food: Margarita flight 5/10: I only drank 2 out of the 4 because I didn't care for the flavors of the other 2 and I'm not a fan of Tajin in my drinks. Went for a weekday lunch break and we were super excited since this place has so many good reviews! However, it turned out to be mid. The time and food here was not memorable to us. I got the salmon caesar salad and for the price I would have expected a different bed of lettuce not just romaine. The salmon was cooked well though, and the sauce was good. His meal needed more sauce, and the piece of chicken was small. Maybe we ordered the wrong things? but we will most likely not go back any time soon read more

Came here with a group we were taken care of the wait staff who brought the food timely. The appetizer was good we had a variety of appetizers. We enjoyed the Dynamite shrimp, coconut shrimp and a shrimp queso which was surprisingly tasty. I had the Ruby Red Trout which was ok it needed a little more seasoning. From Bad To Worse I ordered salad with grilled salmon cooked medium. They brought out salad with blackened salmon. When I said it wasn't what I ordered the guy was rude and with an incredulous tone said," You didn't order blackened?" He said it as though I had made the mistake. Then they brought a salad with salmon somewhat grilled. The salmon had been cut or broken open. It did not appear to have been cooked to medium. The parts you can see in the photo appear to be closer to rare. Also, the lettuce bordered on not fresh to rotten. We pointed it out to the server and sent it back. We asked that it be removed from our ticket and asked for the manager. We pointed out the problems to the manager and she wanted to offer something else. We said we wouldn't eat anything from their kitchen and she left. We waited for the check when the manager reappeared. She began to say that they use red lettuce and that's what we saw. Rather than accepting responsibility for serving rotten food she tried to blame us for not knowing what old lettuce looks like. She kept harassing us and going on and on. She was very rude. I'm unloading some photos. My wife who is a foodie and gourmet level cook was there. She is also a registered sanitarian. We know the difference between red lettuce and old rotten lettuce. The salad is priced at $17.89. It should not be old or rotten. read more

The Yelp reviews for Anaya's Seafood are absolutely legit. This place is easily 5 stars for the neighborhood they're in. We started with the Dynamite Shrimp, and it was fantastic. The flavor was amazing. It comes served over shredded lettuce and fresh carrots, so the plating is simple, but the taste of the shrimp more than makes up for it. Appetizers in the $8-$14 range also make it easy to try something without overspending. We also had the Crawfish Étouffée for $19.99 and the Honey Maple Glazed Salmon for $22, and both dishes were delicious. Great portion sizes, quality seafood, and flavor that truly leaves a smile on your face. Add in amazing customer service, and this was an easy 5-star experience. Definitely worth a visit. read more

I was really expecting a lot more than this restaurant had to offer. Seemed like the food was rushed getting out and some items were cold and really just not that tasty. Their pricing is great. A pleasant surprise as well, all cocktails during happy hour at $7.95 an unbeatable tag for quality. Upon recommendations from the staff and a neighboring table, we opted for Stuffed Crab & Salmon, along with Seafood Enchiladas and Bang Bang Shrimp as an app. The seafood sauce on the enchiladas had bit of a kick however the flavorful profile was undeniable! However the highlight was a speciality item in the stuffed crab & salmon, so good the misses didn't like my fork coming across the table. My drink was the pineapple dragon fruit mojito and it was really good as well. So good my daughter had to drive! It was a little pricey, but it's Dallas and it's fresh seafood so it was expected.. Went to Anaya's for the first time as the guest of a business partner for lunch. He is a regular. They give first time visitors a free flight of soup samples like bisque. All were delicious. The gumbo was excellent with lots of shrimp in it. The service was fast and friendly. Prices are good too. The atmosphere isn't the most exciting, so maybe not the place for a hot date. But overall this is a very good seafood restaurant, which is hard to find. I will return. read more

This restaurant was an unexpected gem! It has a nice family-friendly atmosphere & a great menu. Once they heard this was our first visit the owner brought us a sample of their homemade soups to try. They were all excellent but the Roasted Poblano Creme Soup was my favorite! We ordered a dozen oysters & the Ruby Red Trout to split & enjoyed both. Portions were perfect. Yes please! Those coconut shrimp were glorious. I really enjoyed them! My only ask is that they devein them. I was so worried that ai had bit into that piece of shrimp poop . Friends this place is awesome! Tucked away from the main Beltline restaurants it's a diamond worth finding! We had incredible tropical drinks (tried 4 different ones that were all awesome.....we also go there for happy hour and they were only $7.95 or something! WELL worth it). Server was Kevin and he was SOOO attentive! Took time to give us details about their menu and the board and we never lacked for anything! Great job Kevin! Now the food is where this place REALLY shines! All fresh made from scratch the portions are large, filling and absolutely delicious! We had the crab and shrimp queso served with fresh fried flour tortilla chips, the AMAZING poblano pepper soup (a MUST have) crab cakes and dynamite shrimp tacos. While in the area and feeling crabby, we stopped into Anaya's to try the crab cakes. Ordered both the regular and mac 'n cheese crab cakes. While waiting for our food, they brought samples of their soups, which were incredible! Not even a big fan of soup, but really enjoyed 3 of the 4 samples they offered. The regular crab cakes were very disappointing and couldn't finish them. Thin and mushy. Do not recommend. The Mac N cheese ones were better. If I returned, it would be for the soup. read more

Came here for dinner with a coworker and we both really loved this place! I got the shrimp alfredo and loved it. We got the calamari as an appetizer and both thought it was really good. My coworker got the anayas chicken and substituted the rice for some mashed potatoes and she loved it. We also got some cocktails that were good and the service here was great. My wife and I visited Dallas for the eclipse and decided to try Anaya's Seafood our first night in the area. The website is very easy to use and the menu was easy to read. There looked to be lots of options that a normally picky eater such as myself would consider, so it seemed like a great place to try. Upon entering, we chose to sit in a booth and were greeted immediately for drink orders. Anaya's has a small selection of Pepsi products and a reasonable drink menu, so my wife got some kind of drink with a spice around the rim. She liked her drink. I got a Pepsi. After a day of traveling to get there, my wife and I weren't starving and opted to share a couple things. We got the coconut shrimp appetizer and split a fish and chips. The coconut shrimp weren't bad, but seemed overcooked. The breading on them was a little too crunchy. They sauces provided with it were great and were on the side -- which is a good thing because one of the items was a wasabi aioli. Apparently, I don't like wasabi as I tried it and it isn't good. Probably great for someone that likes it. The other two sauces combined with the shrimp were very good, though. The fish and chips was pretty standard fare. There wasn't anything about the fries or the fish itself that really sticks out. We did get a large portion however, and the price point for it was very reasonable. I was expecting a smaller portion for the price, actually, there is a great value for the buck with it. It even comes with a couple hush puppies and my wife really enjoyed those. For me, this location is a solid 4.5. Parts of the food experience were great and others were average. However, our waitress was very nice, checked on us regularly, and the atmosphere is reasonably laid back. If I was in the area, I would go here again and try some other things on the menu as they had a lot of items I would have been interested in trying. read more

A HIDDEN JEWEL. This is my third time here. This place is consistent and the taste is superb. The food and drinks are delicious. The pic of the chargrilled oysters (see pic) were on the Happy Hour for $7.95. It taste as if the cook took two oysters and cut them to spread across six oysters. I would not be surprised if it was only one oyster cut six ways. I know oysters and this was not full oysters per shell. If this is the practice please don't-if the cost is too high for you, don't cheat the customer, charge full price. This dish takes a minute to prepare. Don't cheat the customer of the experience of tasting the art behind full chargrilled oysters. The ambiance is romantic and you can actually talk without having to scream over loud noise. There is music playing in the background but it adds to the vibe of the atmosphere. The service is 5 out of 5. They aim to get returning customers. I'll be back. read more

What a welcoming spot and the prior reviews steered us here for a weekend lunch for three of us. Salvador was our server and he was helpful and prompt. I enjoyed the blackened grouper tacos and a tasty margarita (okay, actually two). If it were just me dining this would be an easy five star. Started with oysters, and my husband wasn't excited with their texture (although he still slurped them down). He had the mahi mahi special and felt it was a little dry, but the mashed potatoes were a home run. Son had a salad with grilled shrimp and he enjoyed it. We wish they had an outpost on the west side of the metroplex - Fort Worth folks would love this place. Had no trouble walking in for a late lunch, but by the time we left, the place was already filling up - happy hour prices are all day on the weekends I believe. read more
