Hubby and I made the decision to deviate from our usual Friday routine of visiting Perry's for happy hour and explore the new III Forks location. The quality of service, drinks, happy hour oysters and wagyu beef sliders & fries was exceptional. Happy Hour is available Sunday - Friday from 4-6. There are several $9 cocktails and $12 martinis on the happy hour menu. I opted for the Titos lemon drop martini, and it certainly met my expectations. This location also boasts a large selection of wines ranging from $7.50 - $12.00. Hubby ordered the happy hour oysters for $21 and I ordered the wagyu beef sliders & fries for $16. I look forward to returning for the sliders, as they were the perfect portion size and were cooked and seasoned to perfection. We intend on returning to sample the dinner menu next week. read more

It was our first visit. It was a little shakey, but I would give it another try. We split the III Forks salad and asked for the salad on the side. The salad arrived already dressed. The steaks are à la carte and my husband was using the salad as his side. I'm allergic to beef, so I got the roasted chicken and asked for the seasonal vegetables which were carrots. Little did I know my chicken came with carrots and brussel sprouts with bacon. I feel like some descriptions should be listed or verbally expressed because what if I didn't eat pork. I just feel like our server should have brought that to my attention. The place was nice and so were the bathrooms. We had 1 beverage, 8oz steak, seasonal vegetables, chicken entree. The service was bit the best, which I think was because our waiter was swamped with many tables and our table was large. The good was just ok, morning I would return for. Another waiter who was helping the main server was rude to one person on our group. One meal was dropped off on the table without telling us what it was so some people though it was a shared plate. We used to frequent the III Forks in Frisco for awhile. But the last two times we went the food was off. Then we heard this location was opening and well the food here was how we remembered the old place tasting. Not sure if there are different owners or chefs at the Frisco location now. We had a private dinner party of about 9-10 people for my cousin's birthday and surprise proposal, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. The atmosphere felt upscale but welcoming, perfect for a special occasion. Our one server handled the entire table flawlessly--got all of our orders, drinks, and appetizers correct, and stayed calm, attentive, and patient the whole night, even though we were the last table in the restaurant. He even brought out celebration desserts for my cousin, which was such a thoughtful touch. As for the food--I had the chicken fried filet mignon with asparagus and mashed potatoes, paired with a sparkling hibiscus margarita, and everything was delicious, well-portioned, and worth every penny. The service was top notch and our server took so much pride in his employment and knowledge of the food, its sources, the chef, etc., it was nice to see. The sides were portioned well, easily serve 2-4 people. We were told by others to try the scallops and while they were excellent, paying $30 for three of them was a bit much. The steaks were excellent quality. Not quite the best steak I've ever had, but it's up there. We did enjoy the ahi appetizer, not the typical Asian sesame sear, but more of a steakhouse one which was nice. Would we go back? No, probably not given the abundance of steakhouses in DFW, but it is definitely one to try. Top 5 for sure. read more

Lots of positives, but get ready to lighten your wallet in a major way. We loved the ambience - modern, light, and classy. We started with drinks, delicious table bread, and an appetizer. Most all the appetizers are priced like an entrée would be in other restaurants. The chicken fried lobster ($39) was unique and delicious/outstanding! it was lightly breaded and fried with a wonderful sauce underneath it. You could definitely taste the sweet lobster. I highly recommend it. Large selection of cocktails, spirits, and wine. Wine by the glass and spirits were overpriced, but that kind of goes with the territory in a high-end steakhouse. The Benton Lake Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley was very good and reasonably priced. I definitely recommend it over the more expensive Pinot Noirs by the glass. Next came the salads. Our friends split the III Forks salad ($16) and loved it. Surprisingly each half was about the size of a normal salad. I had the wedge salad ($16) which was very good, but was half of an iceberg lettuce that measured only about 3 inches in diameter. Pretty small wedge salad which certainly could not be shared. Steak prices are what they are these days. Here they go all the way up to $350 for a tomahawk ribeye. We stayed with the 8 ounce fillet ($58), prime 16 ounce ribeye ($75), the 8oz New York strip fillet ($49), and the Seabass ($56). Pretty sure there was a mistake made on my friend's fillet because it looked a lot more like 6 ounces and certainly was not even close to the size of the 8 ounce New York strip fillet my wife had. he said the fillet had a nice flavor, but it was small. Her strip fillet had great flavor, but had a ton of gristle and fat in it unfortunately. She was not able to eat much of it and I was surprised our server didn't ask her about why she had so much left and wasn't interested in taking it home. But his response was OK after she said she didn't want to take it home because what was left was all gristle and fat. She definitely would not order that cut again. My ribeye was cooked perfectly medium rare but honestly didn't have the flavor of a prime steak and I would not order it again. At that price, it should have had that buttery prime flavor and bid more tender in my opinion. The Seabass was very good and a large portion which my friend took half home. The sides we had were outstanding and each was delicious; sautéed spinach ($13), creamed corn ($15), and six cheese roasted sliced potatoes ($17). Of those I would recommend the spinach and creamed corn. They come advertised as family style but honestly, you need to order multiple sides if you're going to be sharing between more than two people. Each one by itself is only enough for two. We had three sides and that worked well for the four of us. They were all gone. It was a fun evening and we enjoyed our time there. Our server, Nam, was exceptional and made a big difference in how well the evening went for us. If we return, I'd love to have him serve us again. read more

How did I not get the memo that III Forks now has a location in Addison. I arrived shortly after opening and ate at the bar.It has been open since April, apparently. It is in the same shopping center as Whole Foods. This is one of my favorite restaurants when it comes to steak. They did a superb job with the aesthetics. Today, I got the III Forks salad because that is a must. I also got the 8 ounce filet mignon medium along with creamed corn and scallop potatoes. Why 4 stars instead of 5? The creamed corn, mashed potatoes and snap peas traditionally came with every steak. That's no longer the case, at least not at this location. They did offer the tomatoes and spring onions, as usual. I got the hibiscus martini at the recommendation of the bartender. The food was good as always. The parking in front is reserved for valet, so finding a close park may be challenging. It's also pretty pricey, I've been to other steak house restaurants where the cost matches the quality, but this one was just average. I had the pleasure of dining at 111 Forks on their opening night tonight. I walked and as greeting by the friendly, very professional staff. I went to the bar as I was full from an earlier meal. The bartender Khurram made an excellent Old Fashioned w my favorite Bulliet Rye Bourbon. They are still a few days away from smoking the drink to perfection. I added a velvetly Grand Marnier infused Creme Brulee. A nice combo to end the evening. I will be back soon with an empty belly to truly enjoy a meal here. read more

Where to begin.. let's start with the ambiance. The ambiance is beautiful, clean and classy. Service was professional. Waiter kept checking if we were doing ok, manager came to check if we liked the food... waiter recommended a few dishes! Food: the appetizers were amazing! We ordered the lobster bisque soup and the beef croustades. Those 2 are a must when going there. Our main dishes were ok. We ordered the prime beef burger and steak frites. The burger was alright, just like a homemade one. There wasn't anything special about it, and the steak frites came out really salty. We don't know if that's how it's supposed to be made or if we were just unlucky.. my husband usually puts salt on all his food but he actually couldn't finish the dish because of how salty it was. We told our waiter but he just apologized and told us he was going to note that. Nothing else was done. Anyways, it wasn't a bad choice! We still loved the appetizers and ambiance. I went on one of the first nights it was opened and I was very impressed!!!! A new neighborhood gem to have around. The overall vibe was very trendy and the decor was beautiful. The steaks were cooked to perfection. We ordered the filet, NY Strip, Lobster Bisque, Caesar Salad, III Forks Salad, Beef Croustades, mashed potatoes, six cheese potatoes, creamed corn, and Creme brûlée! Everything was phenomenal. The drinks were also incredible, highly recommend the espresso martini or as my husband prefers the old fashioned. He said it was one of the best he's ever had but I said the same thing about the Espresso Martini- you can taste the fresh espresso! It's definitely earned its place in my opinion as the best steakhouse in North Dallas. We came as a big group but I will definitely be back for a date night.
