Ambiance: Plenty of tables inside (large and small) and ample seating at the bar. There is a large patio as well, but they did not seem to use the patio at the time (May 2025). Service: The owner of the bar was very friendly and service was quick! Our food was ready in about 10-15 minutes (granted we were the only table eating at 2 PM on a Saturday). Food: They had a fairly comprehensive regular menu (sandwiches, salads, and appetizers). Since we came around 2 PM, they were still serving brunch at the time. The brunch menu had plenty of items as well. My husband both ordered their signature double patty tavern burger from their regular menu. It was absolutely delicious! Would definitely come here again! Interestingly, this bar has a full service espresso machine! They make coffee here and apparently the coffee is pretty good! Will have to try that out next time. read more

I've been going to the Tavern for years now! The service and staff is always amazing! Craig's customer service is always above & beyond (if I could clone him all over the metroplex I would)! My recent visit has been since the World Cup and Brody made the absolute best Paper Plane cocktail! Also, try the Messi Sour! I just checked my tastebuds and I think I will have one today! Stop by & check them out! You will not be disappointed! read more

This is a cool place to hang out and grab a quick meal, especially during the late night! Our server was helpful and pretty attentive. The menu is pretty small and what I ordered actually wasn't even on the menu so be sure to ask your server what items are available that aren't listed. The crispy chicken tenders certainly live up to the name. They have a great crunch to them and they are well seasoned and battered. The chicken tenders taste very homemade which I love! The mac and cheese wasn't bad but did have that slightly fake cheese flavor if you know what I mean. It's definitely creamy though. Not featured but we also had the empanadas. They weren't bad. Just ground beef on the inside and cheese. I would've liked for them to be a little cheesier but they were still good. I'd recommend! read more

Went last night with a friend. I asked if there was a jukebox. The bartender Brody informed me there was. I put $28 on AMI jukebox. I played one song "Tyler" by the toadies. I picked another song and it wouldn't play. Then the two bartenders were smirking saying "oh we have no idea what happened". It was obvious they didn't want me to continue playing songs. They continued to smirk and put on their iPhone music. It was very obvious they were being intentional with this. I paid our tab, said thank you and left 20% tip. Very disappointed. We were looking for a comfortable friendly local bar and now know that's not a welcoming or respectful place. There's a bar directly across the street that I'd suggest checking out before you go here. read more

This is a little better than typical bar food but it's still bar food. The chicken sandwich was decent. The fries were my favorite part of the whole meal. Now let's get to the creamy caramelized onion dip. Have you ever tasted something and instantly knew it would make you sick? That's what happened here. Something was just really off with this dip and I can't put my finger on it. My husband also said it was very strange and that he wasn't going to continue eating it. The chips that come with it are pretty salty (I love salt) and break apart when you try to plunge them into the cold dip. That's right, the dip was cold. I don't know if it sat in the fridge too long and possibly expired... We didn't raise a fuss about it because it could have just been our tastebuds that set out a red alarm. The service was really slow. Mind you, the three gentleman that I saw working were all at the bar and serving those guests as well so they were busy. I get that. We did have to get up several times to go to the bar for service. No biggy, just a heads up if you go and experience the same thing. read more

I've been here a couple of times now. Once back in 01/21/2023 and more recently on 12/26/2023. The first time we had brunch and I had the Brunch Burger, Macaroni & Cheese, Buffalo Wings and Crispy Fries. The second time I had the Cuban (not pictured) and the Fried Cauliflower. Everything tasted pretty good. For those unaware, I would make sure you have plenty of time to wait for your food. On our first visit, the food didn't take as long to get out to us after ordering as it did the second time. That could be in part due to the timing: brunch after the holidays and dinner the night after Christmas. We weren't in too much of a hurry and just enjoyed the time spent with family so no big deal. But again, something to be aware of to avoid anyone turning into a Karen or Ken! So far the food hasn't disappointed so I will return again. read more

Great service from our server John ! The burger is delicious. Wings were crispy. Brought the family and we all had a good experience. Prices are little steep, but the service and quality made up for that. Come give it a try! read more

Nice place to go get some drinks to warm up after taking photos in Vitruvian Park. They serve a nice "adult coco" of peanut butter whiskey and spiced rum which tastes delicious and is also not too strong. They are pretty quick with orders, my qualm is that we couldn't find any hand sanitizer inside the store and it didn't seem like they were appropriately implementing social distancing or occupancy limits. It was a good place to stop by since it was near the park, but otherwise, I don't think I'll be stopping by unless I'm in the neighborhood. read more

Vitruvian Park Tavern - Adult coco! (peanut butter whiskey and spiced rum) - Whiskey Bars Near Me - Addison, Texas

This is a great tavern with a true neighborhood feel. It sits on the edge of Vitruvian Park with a big outdoor patio. Good selection of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches and salads, along with a full bar and an impressive whisky collection (the owner is a Master of Scotch). Super attentive bartenders and fun events like poker nights and karaoke nights. We hosted a 20-person birthday party here and it was a blast!!! read more

I've been wanting to try this place since they opened and finally got to try it when we were looking for a place to grab a drink. I was kind of full but was still tempted to try a food item so I ended up getting the burger which they very kindly split in two in the kitchen. The was great and I especially loved the bun it came with. For the drinks, we tried the Craig-a-Rita and the sunset pop as well as the pina colada. The drinks were great and reallyyy strong. I'll go back to try the grilled cheese since that was recommended to me read more

Loved this spot! We went after our Sand Volleyball game and it was the first time for all of us. Our waiter Elijah was super dope! He gave great food and drink recommendations! Food was great and so were the drinks! We had wings, fries, the hummus and the beef empanadas. I personally had the hummus and fries which were great! I would definitely order both again! We will for sure be back after our next game! This might be our new little spot! Oh and I had a lemon drop drink with tequila that was super bomb! #tryit read more

Vitruvian Park Tavern is exactly what you want in a neighborhood bar--great drinks, a laid-back atmosphere, and top-tier service. Johnathan behind the bar is the real deal. He knows his cocktails, makes spot-on recommendations, and keeps the vibe fun without trying too hard. Whether you're looking for a solid old fashioned or something new to mix up your usual order, he's got you covered. If you're in Addison and need a go-to spot for a drink, this is it. read more

We trekked over to Addison earlier this week to check out Vitruvian Park's Christmas lights (if you haven't seen them I highly recommend you go!) and decided to grab a bite to eat in the area as well. Of course, I used my trusted Yelp to help find a place and we ended up at Vitruvian Park Tavern. We aren't big drinkers so we bypassed the bar (where someone had an adorable and well behaved pup!) to the few tables in the back after asking and being directed that way. We sat for several minutes before being acknowledged, which was irritating, but a bartender eventually brought us water and said the menu was in their website if we wanted food. I get it, this is primarily a bar so I understand that food is secondary. That being said, the food was fantastic! It way surpassed my expectations! We started with the creamy onion dip and house made potato chips since that's not something you usually see on a menu. The problem with this dish was the chips and dip didn't work well together. The chips were amazing! They were waffle fries that were cut very very thin. It was almost as if you could bend them without them breaking, if that makes sense. I'd love to know how they are cut that way and what seasoning is used! I am by no means a potato chip connoisseur, but these are probably the best chips I've had. The dip was very good but really didn't have an onion flavor and was too thick to dip the thin potato chips. It came with a spoon so we used that but even then the thin chips broke when we added dip. Both great on their own, and I'd still absolutely order this as a starter again, but the execution could be improved. We both had the "Double Patty Tavern Burger with American Cheese, Burger Sauce, Pickle and Steamed Onions". The meat was wonderful and the cheese was gooey - what else is there to say but "Yum!!" I would order it without the pickles next time. I normally want extra pickles but these were like bread and butter pickles and I thought they were too sweet for this burger. Dill pickle chips would be awesome on this burger! Even with the few things I would like to see done differently, I don't consider them important enough to me that I am removing a star - I enjoyed the food that much! And maybe the Christmas lights in the park didn't hurt either! :) read more

I have been to the tavern many times, and enjoy the food and drinks, however after stopping by today I will never return. First of all, this is essentially a bar and should be shut down right now as of Gov. Abbott's order. They clearly have found a way to get around this but still defy yet another order for the safety of their patrons by not wearing masks. Not a single employee is wearing a mask even though they are mandated to. It is as if they are trying to go against safety protocols. I am extremely disappointed. They clearly state on Google that they are a bar, and are NOT serving food. The ice house across the street has shut down and has a full menu of food, they will be getting my business after opening. read more

I always pick this bar instead of the one across the street because of the vibes, it's much more fun. The bartenders, Elias and Hayden are so attentive to the customers, they always greet me and are so nice! They also always play good music! They have a great view to the vitruvian lights from their outdoor patio. My favorite thing is the king and queen chairs that are GREAT for a photo-opp! I sat down there to take a cute picture and our bartender Elias brought us king and queen crowns which made it even better! Thanks for the great experience every time. Oh and the Cesar salad is the best salad I've ever had plus it's HUGE. read more

Not expecting to get great coffee but in an attempt to we stumbled upon this place. Out for a Sunday stroll and craving a ice coffee we walked in to VPT. It was clean and the people were friendly and accommodating. They had amazing espresso and great flavors. We sat outside for a bit and then took a walk around the water. As we were saying goodby to a friend we knocked her ice coffee out of her hands. The gentleman working there came out and offered to make her a new one. Great service, we will be back. read more

Bad food bad service, after coming here for years and making the effort, the bar help is so bad and the food is so burnt I will never come again. Tried this place for the first time after shopping at the Galleria today. Glad we did! Didn't realize the person that greated us was the owner. He was absolutely amazing! Super personality. Made us feel completely at home. Took care of us well. We had 2 servers. The first girl I think went home. Johanna took over and was amazing. Ramon the chef was awesome also. The food and drinks we all wonderful. I really can't say enough about how the apps were. We tried almost all of them. Seriously. I hate coming to this part of town...but I will make an exception to come back here! Traffic and all. This is a great stop to unwind. I hope others feel the same way I do! read more

Love this place! They frequently will give a free drink here and there if you're a regular. It's a party in there: everyone is socializing even across tables. Great place to make friends and celebrate Dallas sports. Way better than the place across the street; the staff is far more pleasant/fun. Their food here is also of significantly better quality which you can just taste. It's more fresh. The bartenders here are so smiley and sweet. Night and day from next door! read more

Great neighborhood bar; most of the people that come here live in the surrounding Vitruvian Park apartments so it feels like anytime you go in you always run in to someone you know. There's a real sense of community here which is really nice. The food is SO good (best fries around, I swear) and the bartenders are awesome and a lot of fun. The owner, Craig, is extremely welcoming and so friendly if you happen to bump into him. There is also a digital jukebox where you can download an app and play songs off of, which is a really cool touch. read more
