From the moment we sat down, she showed nothing but love cool as hell, welcoming, and locked in on making sure we had an amazing time. Rocky knew the menu, gave perfect recommendations, kept the drinks coming, and brought great energy without ever overdoing it. Stopped by a few weeks ago. The first red flag should have been the lock box on the door. The second was nobody was in there other than the staff. This was a little after six and they should have had a small crowd in for dinner. I got the food menu and asked for a water. The water came to me in a plastic cup. I ordered the Jerk Chicken and was told they were out of it. Fine, ordered fish and chips with a side salad instead of tater tots. They brought me a plastic knife and fork instead of metal ones. After 10 minutes I still didn't have my order. The cook came out and said they were backed up and it would be a little longer. Keep in mind I was the only paying customer in there. I finally got my side salad I. A plastic bowl and had to take my dinner to go as I had other plans for later in the night. They must pay a fortune in all the disposables rather than washing real cutlery and plates. Needless to say I don't recommend this place and won't be going back. read more

Welcome, Kings Cave, to Carrollton and thanks for inviting us to your soft opening! Kings Cave might be hard to spot, but keep in mind that it's on the SW corner of Trinity Mills and Midway. If you're driving east on Trinity Mills, or south on Midway, it will be on your right. Love the light fixtures, the sports they were showing and the super friendly girl named Sierra who greeted us when we arrived. Sierra answered our questions, to the best of her ability (the place was new to her, too) and did her best to keep us happy. As part of the soft opening, we were served the $10.99 Classic BLT Burgers, which according to the menu, comes with fries. But, we were told that we would need to pay for fries. Okay, $4.99 for side orders of fries was okay. Strange that our Classic BLT Burgers came with a bun although the newly printed menu said it has Texas Toast. I was confused about the difference between the Classic BLT and the Cave Man Burger. The menu shows it priced at $15.99, with a brioche bun and and onion straws but it doesn't come with fries. I would be reluctant to order the Cave Man. While we were waiting for our order, Sierra offered us a beer on the house. We gladly accepted a couple of Dos Equis. This brew paired well with our entrées. The burgers arrived and they looked pretty good. The burger patty pretty much filled the bun, but it didn't look fresh. More like pre-made and pre-frozen? As I mentioned before, there was no Texas Toast. Rather, a bun. I did notice a crunch when I bit down. Was the bun toasted? No. Was it the crisp lettuce? No. How about the bacon. No, it was the well done hamburger patty. I hope the chef learns quickly, how to properly cook a hamburger. The fries were pretty good, but I asked for them to be crispy. They weren't. read more

This may look like your average sports bar, but the food was top notch. So much flavor in every bite. I love the lemon buffalo wings. Onion rings had really nice texture. The catfish had so much flavor and was so crispy. The margaritas weren't too sweet and delicious. The service was amazing. The staff are so fun and so kind. Highly recommend watching sports, listening to music or catching happy hour here. read more

My Sunday evening visit to Kings Cave was amazing. My group of 8 arrived around 1800 and were immediately seated. The atmosphere was nice, amplified by a DJ playing jams from the good old days. I was pleasantly surprised to discover they offer games hookah, adding to the experience. The gentleman that prepared the hookah demonstrated a high level of expertise, as it was the best hookah I've had in quite some time. It was reminiscent of the the top notch hookah I get when I'm in New York. I had an amazing evening listening to music, playing UNO, sipping on lemon drop martinis and devouring cheese fries. Decided to stop in after driving by a few times it always looks closed. Inside was empty with 1 couple sitting at the bar. Sat at the bar, ordered a sidecar..it was brought to me in a plastic cup. I asked the bartender how much (like is it happy hr) $15. I then asked do yall not have martini glasses? She said with an attitude she serves them in plastic cups so she don't have to wash dishes. Went to the soft opening of this new sports bar. Easy to find on the corner of Midway & Trinity Mills, lots of parking also. Place is very clean big bar area with booths and tables. A lounge area is available also. Lots of tv's each with different games on when we were there. The waitress was very sweet and answered all my questions-they were offering free burgers that day I added fries foe $5 (the menu she gave us showed fries came with the burger usually so thought that a little strange) it took a while to get our food but we watched a game while we waited. The hamburger looked good but was alittle over cooked and definately looked to be a pre-made pattie- the bacon was crispy which I appreciated. Fries were ok nothing special. The manager did stop by and say hello. I'm sure after they get a few kinks worked out in the kitchen this place will stay really busy. read more

Ok the Sunday vibe around 430 started picking up. The DJ was not my cup a tea BUT the DJ who can around 445 was the shyt! The food was meh I only had the queso with chicken. The Cadillac Margarita I had was BOMB.COM I didnt even get a picture!!! Football was on several screens throughout. They also showed futbol. Went to this bar to try it out. I followed 2 people in. In total, there were less 10 customers within the entire establishment. I sat at the bar, the other couple were both greeted, the bartender took their order and immediately got them their drinks. I was given both a food menu and drink menu (which I didn't require because I knew what I wanted), but was never greeted or was asked what I wanted for several minutes. I found this very unprofessional, given that the place was empty, and no one bothered to even try taking my order and just watched me leave. Thought with the new grand opening they would do a much better job on greeting to get some new regulars, but this wasn't the case and unfortunately I will not be back. read more

Finally got a chance to stop by for their happy hour, I frequent this area. Plenty of seating, the bar area is a nice size and since I was recording I sat at my own table. Service was A1, the waitress greeted me with a smile, gave me a run down on the menu, took my order quickly and I started eating not too long after I ordered. The restaurant had a nice crowd, even for it to be midday Sunday. I guess people were taking advantage of the happy hour 4-7. Food was really good and the variety of options they had was very impressive. I got the loaded fries as an appetizer, added jalapeños... bomb! Then the catfish omg... fried to perfection! I used to go here when it was "Chop Shop" still so seeing it new and renovated was nice. The bar area looks a lot better than before and there's nice big screens everywhere to watch sports. The bartender was quick and attentive. Making sure I didn't have an empty wine glass as well as making sure I was ready to order or if I had any questions with the menu. I got the cave triple play with catfish, shrimp, beef suya, fries, and jollof rice. Everything was phenomenal. The fries were incredibly crispy and battered. This place is a joke. I stopped in again just to see if maybe -- MAYBE -- something had changed. Nope. Empty, as usual. Meanwhile, CiCi's Pizza next door has a full house like it's Black Friday. That alone tells you everything. They don't greet you. They don't acknowledge you. They don't serve you. You walk into a bar expecting a drink? Not here. Here, you get vibes, disappointment, and a front-row seat to a business speed-running its own closure.
