This is such a great location, great service too! They have cool pool tables, delicious food with lunch specials available. Cold beer and great liquor options too. Great look of the place fun, and feels just like an Irish pub. They have been here for 10+years read more

FOOD: we had the lunch portion of fish & chips, which was good. Portions of cod were more like fish fingers. ATMOSPHERE: This is a perfect pub place. Both the other lady & myself have been to Ireland over a dozen times and this place has all the vibes. They were decorating for the upcoming FIFA games. SERVICE: It was lunch and they weren't real busy but service was excellent. I only wish the staff would tell you their name! TIP: Take home some bread pudding. read more

The Irishman Pub - Fish & Chips - Sports Bars Near Me - Dallas, Texas

Good place to watch a football, hockey, or baseball game as it doubles as a sports bar as well as authentic Celtic style pub with a warm interior. I usually can get some game talk sitting at the bar and the service is good there. Table service might be on the slow side later to late evenings, but it's a pub where people come to sit and socialize so don't expect snappy restaurant service where waitresses hover over you because they flip the table ever 45 minutes. They actually have a separate smoking zone (well isolated) in a walled off front porch-like area with separate entrance with a small group of people, a feature that is getting harder to find if you have someone who likes to light up after eating. read more

My husband and I visited with a group after our holiday party, it was incredibly busy but Jerry took such great care of us! He was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable! We will definitely be back and telling everyone about Irishman! Thank you Jerry! read more

Thank you Lyn, Jerry and the amazing staff for being SUPER host and being the 'to go to pub' for the World Cup. As always the service is a 10 and the food is second to none especially the Bangers and Mash, Fish and Chips, Reuben sandwich, Cornbeef and Cabbage - proper football food!! The atmosphere during the matches were outstanding and look forward to watching more WC matches in the coming weeks. Special shout out to Megan, Kaylee, Maddie, Britney, Jameson and Ethan for your service!! Very much appreciated!! read more

Completely unprofessional staff. Witnessed them serving underage patrons and over serving others to the point of belligerence and then letting them drive home. Liquor license needs to be revoked read more

This place had a bit of a dive bar, feeling to it, while being in kind of a strip mall in the suburbs. They had two bartenders, working the restaurant on a Monday, which is all day happy hour. We got an Irish Mule (not my fave) and Guinness to drink. The pretzels were $5 on Mondays and were great. They have daily specials for food. I'm usually more of a mustard versus cheese person, but their cheese was phenomenal. My friends got a burger and fries and a club with sweet potato fries. We brought our computers to book. Some travel plans, and their Wi-Fi wasn't ideal, but this seems more like a bar for regulars to come and play pool. read more

Very nice pub, but I had a problem with the sandwich. I ordered a pastrami sandwich, which was not as expected. It didn't have much pastrami, and some of it was very fatty. I was very disappointed. read more

I had an order delivered from Grub Hub from this place. The food was horrible! I got the Reuben Spring Rolls and they were bland and horrible. They tasted like the just reheated and not cooked fresh. I also had the Shepherd's Pie, which was also bland. It needed seasoning and salt, as it had a terrible flavor. The thick layer of cheese melted on top was oily and not at all authentic and shepherd's pie doesn't have that much cheese. We finished off with the bread pudding which was more dry bread than pudding. Again, no flavor, really hard and not moist at all. Whatever goop they put on top of was also bad and flavorless. I will never eat here again and I hate that I had to eat what I ordered since I couldn't return it. read more

The food....every single thing on the menu is fabulous. The staff is fabulous. Check it out.

What not to say about the Irishman , the burger , sampler platter , Rueben sandwich, chicken wings were all very tasty , two very experienced bartenders made sure that service was exceptional, plenty of tvs to watch sports and the best part is they know how to pour a drink , they also have a small patio for the smokers ( I don't smoke but no cigars allowed) that doesn't make sense to me smoking is smoking, the staff is friendly, I have been there many time and will continue to visit, the ambience is sports oriented with a couple of pool tables to help kill time read more

The Irishman is always friendly, has great food and drinks. lots of nice people, and sports on TV a lot. If you have been to Ireland you will recognize the atmosphere. A good place to go!! Ignore the persons who dont leave a good review; just see how many people are there all time. Enjoyl! read more

Reasonably priced Irish bar great place to watch sporting events. Food is really good. They have daily specials when I'm in town. I come here. read more

I did not enjoy my meal at all, but others I was with really enjoyed theirs. I might return and get something else.

Irish Dive Bar all the way! I loved the atmosphere it's cozy, warm, and welcoming. We arrived on a soccer Sunday so the place was packed and lively but it did not deter us away. They have an extensive beer/cocktail list so finding your drink here will not be hard and with reasonable prices too! I ordered a hearty Shepard pie, and I was so happy with how well-seasoned the beef was and how great all of the ingredients were mashed together. My partner ordered the corned beef and cabbage entree, and we were both pleasantly surprised how the corn beef was almost brisket made and the sautéed cabbage was a perfect side. The added potatoes and horseradish sauce was just additional pluses to the plate. We were happy with the cost, quality, and quantity of everything we ordered. I think we found our next favorite pub! read more

Horrible service. The place was about 70% full and only 2 people helping at the bar. I stood there for 15 minutes without bring acknowledged. At least say I'll be with you soon as I can. When I finally spoke up, their reaction was very dismissive... like if I left, that's less they have to deal with. Will NEVER go back Also had the stitch of cigarette smoke read more

I ordered fish and chips. fish was delicious as was tartar sauce. however the breading on fish was soggy and fries were so soggy, could no eat. ordered bread pudding which is also delicious but needs more sauce. read more

Dive bars, no matter which city you're in, make the perfect space to catch up with old friends. They had a pretty choice selection of local brews, which have been great to try as the non-Texan in the group. If the weather's cool enough, make you're way out to the outside area which makes for an easygoing hang during the evening summers. read more

The food and service were great! Every year my dad and I take a pause from the holiday craziness to enjoy a pint of beer and some good pub food. The fish and chips were great!!! Light and crispy! The service was also great! We came for lunch so the crowd was light. Another great spot for our annual tradition! read more

If you are a sports bar you should televise all major sporting events 100%. Sound and all. Lame excuse: of regulars playing jukebox. Whatever. Even the regulars will understand a World Cup is on TV once every 4 years. If you don't understand it you are not a regular. Management / bartenders 0 trying or even let me ask. Simple: "I am in charge and that is what's happening" I don't leave around the corner anymore, but often come back to the area and do have a few drinks. Other good places in the area are Lekka, or Deli news. Remember, that service and hospitality are different things. So with 4 star service and 0 stars for hospitality. Cheers! Don't come here for soccer you get a Juke box. I hope someone reads it and will have a sound on for USA game tomorrow. Maybe just Super Bowl gets lucky. So sad! read more

The Irishman Pub - Not bad - Sports Bars Near Me - Dallas, Texas

Bar was busy for a Monday evening. Jerry was running like a mad-man; service was not an issue! Let's start with the Moscow Mule and dirty Grey Goose martini - both were excellent. I think I liked the prices of their drinks almost as much as I liked the drink itself. The food - everything was delicious, from the Sampler Platter to the Fish & Chips, Burger to my favorite, the Monte Cristo. Prices were decent. I've been looking for a quaint little bar and this fit the bill and it's close to work. Good place to pop in for lunch or after for a drink. read more

Not the worst fish-and-chips I've ever had, but close. If you deep-fat fry a piece of fish, I don't see how it can help but come out crispy. But these were on the soggy side. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was what you'd expect from a pub. And I know that people don't typically go to a pub for the food, so maybe my expectations were too high. read more

Drinks are good, food over cooked, and the video arcade doesn't pay out much ever. They have a live band that is pretty good. But still the video arcade is collecting money no payouts. read more

Duck wings!!!!! So crispy and delicious. Shared a bunch of appetizers amongst friends. Perfect after theatre stop.

My favorite Irish pub in Texas! Always a great time and kills it on SPD! Great place to be for St Paddy's Day!

Very nice corn beef, cabbage and fried potato St Patrick Day lunch. Service good, food better than expected. Nice outing.

Took a few minutes to get a server's attention but it was understandable since it was mid-NBA Finals game and they were packed. Once served, it was pleasant to be introduced by name from the bartender and the drinks were good and reasonably priced. Got the Bangers and Mash for dinner and it was delicious! Great atmosphere, especially since it's in a strip mall, you don't get that feel. It's open, spacious and very friendly. The locals at the bar top welcomed me as a first timer and chatted casually. I'll definitely be back! read more

Really like this place. Great beer selection and the fish and chips are awesome. My favorite is the Rueben Rolls and the fish tacos. It is a true pub environment. read more

Good first impression upon a recent first visit. Kinda on the dark side because everything is dark mahogany wood, but that's very traditional and kind of cool. Friendly staff, outdoor seating (enclosed) for smokers, and a good sound system. They even have a neat sofa-filled alcove for watching games on one of their big-screen TVs. At the risk of sounding gender-biased (but who cares), it's also worth pointing out in the evenings it's usually male bartenders. Not that there's anything wrong with females, but most the other sports bars in this area are 100% female, so it's kind of a refreshing change. Good selection of craft beers, interesting menu (they actually have a Rueben sandwich), and Happy hour is 2-7pm with dollar off well drinks. Great first visit. The satellite channel delivering music was a good mix of hits from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s, and locals have some good taste in music as well. Lastly, it's the Preston Road area in this part of North Dallas so attracts a more upscale clientele than most other sports bars in the area. I like it. read more

This place deserves more than five stars, because the people here are angels. I've never been to a place where people look out for each other more (phones, purses, wallets, and drinks all looked out for) and the staff here is top notch! You can't get better than here. Are you ready to be surrounded by the best? I love it here!!! They also have games, pool tables, food, tv screens and employees that are just the best of the best. I'll be here every time I want to have a good time. I'd say the employees that I love, it's all of them!!! Such a great time had every time here!! read more

We've driven by The Irishman Pub a thousand times. Since it was called The Staggering Irishman as a matter of fact. So we decided to go today to watch the Arsenal game and have late breakfast (I don't like the word Brunch, but that's another story). Great food, great service and very cool place. We need to come back at night for sure. I ordered the Irish Poached Eggs and the were spectacular. Also I tried the NY-style Hot Dog and it was also very good. I think the hot dog was a special thing because of the NFL games. We will include this pub in the rotation for sure! read more

Great low key irish pub. Mostly regulars and industry, which is a good sign. What surprised me was how cheap yet how good the food and drinks are. They have a special every day and the pretzel and the mini burgers are delicious. I recommend the pretzel with the mustard they make in house. Crazy good. The bar staff is always nice and funny. One of the only true bars in the area and it's definitely worth going to. read more
