My husband and I got up from our post-work nap and realized there was no way I was cooking at 1 AM. Based on reviews and a friend's recommendation, we decided to check out Cannon's Corner Irish Pub--and I was blown away by how good it was, especially for a late-night spot. It's only three minutes from our house, and after this experience, we'll definitely be regulars. The bartenders were friendly and approachable, setting a great vibe right from the start. We started with the duck wings, and they were absolutely delicious. For our main course, we both went with the fish and chips from the late-night menu, and let me tell you--the portions were huge! We're already planning to come back for Super Bowl Sunday and, honestly, any random night of the week. If you're looking for great food and service late at night, this is the place to be!

Strawberry margarita not on menu but created just for us!

Bartenders were super friendly (didn't harass us bc we were from far away), drinks were delicious, place was clean. Not too dark, and they had lots of options on their menu!! Certainly would stop by again!!

I came here after seeing the a friend post the egg nog flight and knew I needed to try it. I came during lunch time (don't judge me, it's 5 o'clock somewhere) and was surprised that they have lunch specials however I was informed that they were out of the mix however was expecting more later in the day. I called later in the day to confirm they had it before going back and we informed they indeed had it. I arrived at the restaurant and was told to sit anywhere I would like. I took a seat and waited for some time before someone finally came to the table. I placed my order for the flight as well as the cod taco and the boneless wings. I was told that the wings weren't too spicy however upon biting into it, it was entirely too spicy for me. The egg nog flight was okay but I can't say that I would order it again. However the cod taco was absolutely delicious and had me wanting to go back the next day for another one. This is a cute pub that would make a great hang out spot. By the way, the gingerbread was my favorite!

Good food, crap ambience for St Patrick's day. We came in at 7:30 or so, DJ with hip hop played for 30 mins. One Irish song, then hits from the 80's. Featured entree's not available after 4:00 pm (corn beef & cabbage stack, Irish breakfast). Sheppard pie, bangers and mash, and salad were all excellent, five stars for the kitchen. Heading to a different pub now ¯\(°_o)/¯

Came here for of course, st paddy's day and can't believe i didn't know this place was so close to me. They had a DJ when you entered and a large selection of beers, Irish and from other locations. They had multiple bartenders working that day and i had near no wait to get a drink. It wasn't overly loud even for st paddy's day and i was able to converse easily with my friends i was with. They have an outside patio area as well and seems like a great place to go for spring and summer months

Phenomenal Irish pub with great eats and one of the best happiest hours you'll find in the DFW Metroplex. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and helpful; and you can expect the regulars to be the same. This is a great go to spot for lunch, dinner, or if you merely want to grab a few drinks during happy hour or later at night. They also have a great setup to watch some sports in the area. I highly recommend that you stop by if you're in the neighborhood.

She asked if we wanted to order anything. I said I was curious about the seafood chowder. She said it is really good, so I ordered just a cup. Just to try it out. OMG! It was one of the best chowders I have ever had. It had everything wonderful in it. Potatoes, carrots minced, cod chunks, shrimp chunks, salmon chunks, and other vegetables. Also, in the $5.00 cup, it also had a mussel. All I can say is the next time we're there, I'm ordering a bowl as my meal! I've also tried their French onion soup and it's excellent. Our granddaughter orders the chicken tenders. They are so good that I would bet it would be very hard to find a place that served them better. They are SO good. Prices are extremely reasonable. The Old Monk is the place to be for a really good, satisfying meal. Plus their happy hour is fantastic.

I got the Ancho Chile Margarita, which was perfectly spicy and tangy! I also got the Frites, which came with three types of aiolis (the bourbon aioli is sooo good!). The portion was large, so it's perfect to share! Will definitely be back in the future!

We got a cheeseboard, but if I had to recommend one thing, definitely the fried mushrooms if you like mushrooms. They're huge and the spicy cilantro sour cream sauce is killer! We sat in the indoor/outdoor area, which was my fave. It can take a minute to flag someone down when it's busy, but that felt understandable for how busy they were. The Guinness is poured so perfectly it should be in the Louvre. The bartender, Austin (I'm pretty sure that's his real name and not just what he tells customers), has the patience of a saint and the sarcasm of a man who's been asked "Do you have anything like Guinness but less dark?" one too many times. Highlights: The fish & chips were so good I briefly considered converting to Catholicism just so I could thank God properly. The bathroom graffiti is poetic. "Roses are red, violets are blue, I came for a piss and met half the crew." - actual quote. Then you've got Hannah, who's basically the pub's chaos coordinator. She's got blonde hair that could guide ships in a fog and a laugh that echoes like a banshee having a great time. Don't sleep on Wes - He'll nod once, slide you your drink, and if you're lucky, mutter something profound like "Life's short, drink good stout." Then he disappears to polish glasses like he's auditioning for a monastery. Absolute mystery man, 10/10 enigma. And rounding out the crew is Paige, the wildcard. She's got stories that start with "Back in then..." and end with police chases, lost sheep, and at least one exploding still. She'll flirt with your grandma, roast your ex in three sentences or less. There is also this Asian guy that looks like a confused troll with blonde hair. He lives up to the saying once you go Asian it's amasian. Can't forget the blonde girl that's going through the Dallas legacy transition of bottle service to real estate. Shes as good at serving as she is selling real estate. These people run the bar like a well-oiled dysfunctional family. They banter with each other louder than the jukebox, remember birthdays you forgot you told them, and have an unspoken code: if you're having a rough night, they'll slide you a free shot and pretend it was a mistake. If you're being a gobshite, they'll roast you into next week without missing a pour.

This review is long overdue but hey as long as I get it done…read more We were luckily referred to Harwood Arms by the front desk of our hotel at check-in, which was conveniently within walking distance (~10 mins) and has a kitchen that's open late which was nice after a day of travel, later check-in and being hungry. The bar was warm, cozy and decked out in Christmas decor (and cute bathroom wallpaper). Good beer selection, great food (I literally ate the tikka masala twice during our couple day trip) and they were conveniently open on Thanksgiving after the game and a fun shot wheel, which was both fun to partake in and fun to watch others do.
