Place wasn't very busy at all with just a couple people at the bar, but a few people were showing up to play poker. Tall blonde young bartender asked our drink order about 3-4 mins after we sat down, so quite a while. I love the bar but wanted to call out these women. I come here regularly to the point where I consider myself a regular. Came here on a wednesday night and encountered these two BEYOND RUDE women. 1. the woman on the left in white rudely interrupted me having casual conversation with the bartender at the bar to place her own order. She seemed to know the bartender Heather who also seemed annoyed by her behavior but realistically couldn't do anything about it. 2. she hit me with the patio door on my chair when she came outside to the patio and just said "hi" with an attitude when I looked over at her after she hit me. (you would have to really try to hit the chair w the door- they don't open that wide naturally).. this behavior is wild. usual bc people here are so kind, especially as a regular but this/these women crossed a line. read more

Nice little bar in Plano. I usually sit at the bar during lunch. Michelle is always attentive. They have some of the best bar food around. It isn't really bar food. Nice daily soups. The BBQ is really good and you know its fresh and made onsite due to the smoker right out the front door. Definitely try the smoked turkey before it runs out. Juicy and tender. I also order the tacos often. Brisket, ground beef,and chicken are all very good and they aren't skimpy with the meat. Burgers are great too. Over all a great deal, prices are very reasonable, and you get a lot per order. I wish they had more wine choices. Karaoke on the weekends, a pool table, and lots of tv's for sports. read more

Great service. Good food. Patio dining And a ton of TVs for sports watching. I am not sure but I believe they have Dj's on the weekend and I thought I saw a pool table in the back but don't hold me to it. It's a great little casual spot for beers and bar food They also have a small wine list and a full bar. Plenty of parking as it is in the same lot as whiskey cake and sixty vines along the back strip mall I've always had fast friendly service from the bartender but unfortunately I never got her name. It's a BBQ joint, with a sports bar appearance and a laid back casual dining experience. On Friday nights they have the best Karaoke DJ in DFW, bar none! On Friday night it is standing room only by 11pm with regulars waiting to sing or just out dining and enjoying the music. The only thing missing is more waitresses. It is so busy you have to be patient with the food and drink service. read more

This is such a difficult review to write regarding Parkway. I've been going there for more than a decade to watch football back in the day when they had a decent menu and when the service actually gave a rip about common decency. We also used to go to karaoke in 2020-2021 when my current boyfriend and I were in our dating phase. We have had so many wonderful memories at Parkway, and it is actually one of the best places for the karaoke part. However, in the last 3 years, Parkway has declined. The bar always has a smell of filth like the sewage is messed up. The bathrooms are always dirty, and you never see employees cleaning anything in the bar (tables, the bar area, and the tables by the stage/karaoke area). The DJ that does karaoke on the weekend has a great presentation, but basically he just does whatever he wants. There are a lot of Asians that hang out there and they are pretty much discriminatory toward people that they just don't like for whatever reason. There is a bartender there that is Asian that works with her husband behind the bar. It's a weird dynamic because she constantly says weird things to customers and refuses women to be able to order tabs or sit at the bar. We had to go there a few weeks ago for a birthday party and hadn't been there in over a year. The bar was empty on a Saturday night when the rest of the place was crowded. We still don't know what that bartender's problem is, but she was refusing service to multiple people that were not intoxicated by any means. I'm with another review about waitresses telling you how you should behave at an adult bar. If you're not threatening people or being aggressive, they need to just let it be. I'm with the other reviews on that they steal your information or pocket your cash and say that you didn't pay your tab. We had one of the bartenders chase us out to our car to pay our tab when we had already given them more than enough cash to cover the tab. The people that work at Parkway are either really that dumb, or they're doing it on purpose to try to scam money. They also allow only certain people to keep a tab open if you leave them a huge tip. It's poor service and frankly just ridiculous. I don't know who keeps saying Parkway has good food. Their BBQ is disgusting and food has gone downhill since the pandemic. My boyfriend ordered brisket fries from there and he had a bug for a week afterwards. Parkway Tavern is rude. They used to care about customers and there was a huge following from Gleneagles that would come over for a nightcap. It used to be our go-to place to go get a nightcap or to go sing karaoke. Now, I'm so embarrassed to say that I have even been there. Plano needs to close it down, or someone needs to buy it. I'm sad about Parkway, it used to be a great place. read more

What a crowd, what a dump... if you are missing any front teeth, then you will love this bar. If you are still wearing styles from when you were in high school in the 70's or 80's then you will love this bar. If a Big Mac and fries are a daily staple in your diet, then you will love this bar. What a motley crew. What a run down tired looking and stanky bar. What poor service. Also, they do not promote a COVID safe environment. Nobody in the place were wearing masks. I always look for independent, neighborhood places to eat. Today, I found a gem! Definitely has a bar feel but don't let that scare you off. This sandwich was piled high with smoky and flavorful pulled pork. Charro beans are as good as I ever had. Sauce was sweet and was a perfect accompaniment to the pork although it was unnecessary. Cold Yuengling beer, gorgeous bartender, local crowd. Try this place. read more

Visited this place for the first time last night, the service was slow but what ruined our entire evening is when a waitress told my date that she wasn't being lady like because of how we were embracing each other at the bar and occasionally kissing. This caused her to cry because she didn't think we were doing anything wrong and from my perspective, we weren't bothering anyone, just enjoying each other's company. Looks appealing from the outside, but once you go inside it looks like crappy dive bar. Decor is cheap, dirty inside, waitress was kind of weird and somehow didn't know how to communicate. Music was crap. Ordered some drinks, beer was flat and she said keg just kicked and than just left, so we were stuck with crappy beer. Other drinks were ok, just $15 for a drink, umm what? $15 Martini, at a dive bar? Kidding right? Asked server what is that about and she mumbled some excuse about being a dive bar and some other words we could not make out, on top of that they tried to up charge on vodka. Parkway tavern is the neighborhood spot to grab a few, play some pool and has a super fun and friendly crowd- absolutely recommend it!

1 bar tender. No servers. Sells food, but the "cook quit". Tried to give them a chance and benefit of the doubt but 45 minutes for an order of cheddar fries is ridiculous. The lack of acknowledgement by the bartender/server speaks volume as to why multiple people walked out. read more

This is a fun watering hole with attentive bartenders and friendly regulars. It wasn't packed the Saturday evening we were there but just enough people to make it interesting. If there was karaoke going on that night, then I missed it however there were good tunes playing on the jukebox. There is plenty of bar seating and wide selection of beers and cocktails. It's in a strip mall off the DNT but it still feels hidden away even when sitting on the outdoor patio. Visiting from out of state for FCS Championship Football game. Enjoyed the welcome banners! Hoping to have a locally brewed beer. Our waiter did not seem to know anything about the beer selection. They went to get another server, who still seemed to have limited knowledge as well. I went with the Turkey Melt. It was pretty tastey and came with crispy fries. Your typical neighborhood sports bar. Large selection of draft beers, a full bar, and a dozen tvs. The bartender did a good job staying on top of keeping glasses full. Clearly there were a few regulars that rotated through throughout the afternoon to catch various football games and a beer. Didn't try the food (assuming it was standard American bar fare). The BBQ was ok. It was not Central Texas style, too many spices other than salt and pepper and not enough smoke. It was moist, but almost no smoke flavor...I know, I know- they have that pit out front with smoke billowing out. But I never saw anyone near it (pure marketing?). With that said, my family has road tripped almost every weekend to probably 20 BBQ spots in the DFW, Austin, Lockhart and Houston area during the China Virus, so we have quite a bit of recent experience in this arena. This was the best non-BBQ joint BBQ, but not if you want the real deal. We spent 30% less than we do at most BBQ spots... so if you are budget conscious, or slather your meat in sauce, you won't be disappointed. Otherwise, it's a neighborhood bar. read more

We've stopped in here a couple of times. I really wish Stan's still here because I really liked the food and the atmosphere of THAT place. This replacement doesn't really offer anything if you're not a regular. Last night was the pinnacle of bad service we've received anywhere. So...congrats to them for that. The service was horrible and we didn't have the opportunity to order food. The draft beer sample out of the tap wasn't cold. Our waitress forgot about my drink...so we left after 20 very frustrating minutes. I'm sure there are people in the area who enjoy this place, but we won't be one of them. read more

My team and I ended up here after going to another restaurant and the wait was too long for us. It's kind of hidden in the back side of the parking lot, but that ended up in our favor as there wasn't a wait. When we walked in the bartender asked if we were here for Poker Night, so on some nights they have a Poker Night. We just wanted to eat. We seated ourselves and were approached by the waitress who handed us 2 menus for 4 people. The menu was a very nice try with arrows that pointed to unmissable items. The waitress came back a few times to ask us if we were ready, despite only having 3 of the 4 at our table (one had to step out for a phone call). Eventually she said "are you gonna order some food"? We ended up ordering an empanada appetizer while we waited. After our 4th got back I ordered the grilled chicken with veggies. The veggies I think were zucchini and squash, but it was dark. I live walking distance from this bar. It used to be Stan's, so- and no offense to those guys- I would normally pass it up and walk to Whiskey Cake, instead.
