Why isn't zero stars an option? We walked in and waited at least 20 mins without the server coming over to our table or even acknowledging us. There was a table next to us getting service and the server did her best to avoid eye contact. After being ignored for so long, we finally went to the bar to order drinks and she said "we don't do table service." I'm wondering why no one said a single thing to us? It was nearly dead there. There were 3 of them just chit chatting with each other behind the bar.... Customer service was non existent here. The other part, we ordered 2 drinks and our tab was $30. Tell me why our 2 subpar drinks was that expensive? Service and drinks were horrible. Zero stars. read more

First time having my TDL actually scanned by entry man. Apparently this is some kind of "members club" of sorts. The place had a faint unpleasant smell, bathrooms actually smelled cleaner lol. Went on a Monday night so can't really compare the vibes. Seemed like it's for older crowds and might be a place for the occasional regular. Staff seemed friendly once they attended to us. Bartender was more interested in the group (friends I'm assuming) that was already there and drunk when we arrived at 10:30. We had one round of drinks and headed out. this is a bit of an interesting experience at Ringos. I met up with a friend who was meeting up with a friend and everything was starting to close on a Saturday night and we knew that Ringos was open and we wanted to sit down and have a drink and visit. there was at least three people in the front of the house working but none of them was giving any sort of table service I assume they are bartenders but no one wanted to get outside of the bar. So I went to the bar to order the drinks. It was a beer a vodka tonic and then I wanted to get some wine which they didn't have any of apparently? so my friend said that she just wanted a club soda with lime. I don't think it's asking too much to put that into a glass because when you put the bill in front of me you wanted 18 to 30% of a gratuity on $17 for a pint of beer and for a vodka tonic. I was reading the other reviews saying that the bartenders were a little clicky as far as taking care of the regulars which I think is important but there's nothing wrong with having a bigger pool of regulars by welcoming other people in. I wanna say that I'll go back again but I think there's other alternatives that might be better. I don't think that ownership really would want this but what do I know at the end of the day this is the culture that they except as management and owners. Maybe this is a problem with who they hire or their come with who's there Saturday night at 11 o'clock. We weren't offered menus we weren't offered any sort of food yet for $17 they were very eager to get a 30% gratuity for basically doing nothing other than the job that they were given little hospitality but that's OK maybe they were having a bad night maybe someone was working that was off I don't know the situation but it creates a pattern in my mind. I hold bars... Especially dive bars... To a different standard and degree in comparison to normal restaurants when it comes to my food selection. With that being said I don't expect much, however I do expect to get what I asked for. I ordered a chopped salad, add chicken breast, salad dressing and sides or toppings separate from the salad... To go. That is not what I received. To be honest, I know they don't give a damn about the quality of food or drinks at the bar. However... I truly did not expect to get a Luke warm soggy crouton melted plastic cheese looking salad without the chicken I requested and a giant hair in there instead. At this point I just think I have lived in the Shops at Legacy for too long because I just cannot handle the piss poor service anymore...it's not just here either. In my opinion it is a miracle this place is still open. It was dead as a door nail on Mardi Gras. No one partying, no one having any fun. Food was just "okay" and way overpriced. At our waitress's suggestion we downloaded the jukebox app and paid an outrageous dollar per song for some music. The bartender apparently did not like one of our selections and reset the system causing our songs to be terminated. When we complained the bartender copped an attitude, criticizing our selection. This begs the following questions: Why have a jukebox? Why include music on the jukebox you don't want people to buy and play? We are unlikely to discover the answers to these questions as next time we will go to Rockets, only a half block away and, unlike Ringo, Rockets was hopping with a bunch of people having fun. The rudest female bartender ever cost the bar staff a couple hundred dollars in business. A group of 12 of us walked over to Ringo's after having dinner at another restaurant around 8pm, big mistake. I've been to Ringo's multiple times with friends but always had decent service, mostly because my friends frequent the pub. I was trying to show my group how fun it was but after this experience not one of the 12 people will return. There was only about six people sitting at the bar and one table with a small group, so it was really empty. I went to the left side of the bar for service (next to the dart board side) and my group was going to order drinks there. The female bartender serving us was a short, heavier Hispanic female with tattoos. I can only describe her since her server name is "left bar" so I'm thinking maybe all the bartenders share tips. I opened a tab and ordered a Guinness, which she poured, but when others in the party were trying to figure out what they want she basically rolled her eyes and walked away. When she came back to give me my Guinness I order another and a Dallas Blond. The blond was in a can so it's not like it took time to pour it from draught. After that I was waiting for my other Guinness, which was only half poured to settle, while she stayed on the right side of the bar completely ignoring us the rest of the time. After about waiting for about 15 minutes another bartender came on (a blond female) who I asked if I could get my Guinness, which still wasn't completely poured, and to close me out. Normally I leave my tab open but since the original "bartender" couldn't be bothered to finish pouring my beer and serving it, I wouldn't be bothered with spending more money there. I felt bad for the blond bartender but based on the service given by the short Hispanic one I didn't even tip, which I never do. I normally tip 20%+ to bartenders since I know so many on Legacy West, but there was no way I was giving a cent more because of the glorified barback that decided to ignore us. After I got the rest of my two-beer order, my group of 12 finished their first, and only round, and we left and took our business to another bar who's service was far better and who's workers actually seemed to care about the costumers. Generally we go out as a group of this size but I can guarantee that they will never return be themselves or with a group. It's too bad that one, lousy bartender cost Ringo's thousands of dollars of future revenue. If someone doesn't want to serve patrons perhaps they shouldn't be in the service industry instead of costing the business and fellow staff, that get tipped, money. read more

Tucked away in a weird little corner, wigere construction surrounds you... it feels a aged, like it's been there forever. Ringos had a great little patio and a small interior to match. It's a typical dark, sticky British pub inside. If they have trivia nights, this place would be a hit. The drinks are decent, especially for the area. Though you could go to one of the nearby spots for better drinks for just a little more. Since it is off the main area as tucked away a bit, it isn't as loud or chaotic. The food is pretty standard bar food at a reasonable price. I'd rather go to the cafe around the block, but if I'm in the mood to sit on a patio and drink while hanging out, then this is the spot to go. It can be a little shady for single women because there's a lot of coming and going with the parking all around it, garage parking attached, and construction everywhere. read more

Hey you!!! Who knew that your southwester egg rolls and pretzel were amazing! Omg the deep fried egg rolls were soft and crunchy on the outside and the pretzel was so soft and fresh with cheese or mustard. The drinks were good. We ordered ol fashioners so glad we went! The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because our server Cat was fantastic and the Modelo Especials were $3 in July. Otherwise it would have been 1 star. First of all, what kind of bar named "Ringo's Pub" doesn't have any Beatles on the jukebox? Second, why have a jukebox if the jackarse bartender is going to pull the plug on the selections people paid for and put on generi-music? That's so rude and customer unfriendly. Third, well ... come on. You're more interesting than 85% of the people here. This bar tries to have personality, but at the end of the say it is another typical Plano bar with the typical crowd. Ringo's is a fun little spot tucked away in the Shoppes of Legacy. Really good food at a fair price. This is an uncommon combination for most restaurants in this area. The resataurant itself is cute and casual. The service is friendly and efficient. Lots of tasty pub type food to choose from on the menu. They have a full bar and a large selection of beer. I love Ringo's!! It's our favorite post-work spot for a drink (or several). The servers and bartenders are all super friendly and patient when you've had a few too many. I once saw Dak Prescott and Zeke there hanging at the jukebox. I'm terrible at trivia and I don't enjoy paying attention to questions being loudly read to me when I'm drinking, but it's always packed on Tuesday Trivia nights. I also like to control the jukebox from my phone. Since moving from Austin I've struggled with finding my niche in the bar scene. The male one that showed up and decided to turn off the sound of the USA men's national team vs Mexico final of the Gold cup at the start of the 2nd half because he wanted to listen to music. In the midst of plastic Plano and the Shops that are typically defined as cougar haven, Ringo's is a welcomed change with a sporty laid-back atmosphere and chill patrons. I didn't see one set of fake boobies the whole night! That's like a record. Like, totally. The bartenders were super welcoming and really efficient. I couldn't decide on what beer to have, so they let me taste a few things on tap before I made my decision. Not once did my glass go empty! And that my friends is a good AND bad thing. I didn't try the food, but it looked like typical pub fare. The only upset to the entire visit was a waitress who ran behind the bar and grunted with disgust about a particular customer -- not exactly something I want to hear, although I did giggle a little at her behavior. Sucks that this place is all the way up in Plano or I would come here more often. I guess it's good to know now though that there's a decent place to have a drink up there. read more

Customer service was terrible. A group of around 45 people went to Ringo's to watch the FC Dallas at San Jose MLS game. We had been promised ahead of time that we would have sound for the game, and were all planning on eating and drinking plenty of beer. Needless to say, we did not get the sound we were promised, and the manager was very abrasive with us when this was brought up, saying that no such promise had been made (even though we had it in writing). The fact that out group comprised 3/4s of the clientele at the very least seemed to go right over his head. Waitress service was also bad. Two people in our group were left waiting more than 20 minutes for their Dr Pepper, and our table of 5's food was delivered within a 15 minute window, rather than all together, even though it had all been ordered at the same time. I did not receive bacon on my cheese fries, and was ignored by the waitresses until I was to the point that I just didn't want it anymore. My wife asked for her leftovers to be boxed up - it still hadn't been done 20-25 minutes later when we wanted to leave. A 20 year-old friend was not allowed in to watch the game with his dad, even though there were already a group of ~13 year olds in the pub with their parents. The manager again ignored our complaints. To top it all off, the manager actually had the audacity to complain to us that people in our group were leaving scathing reviews on Twitter and Facebook about the lack of service, and that we weren't leaving good tips for the waitresses. The guy clearly does not understand how the business-customer relationship works - provide good service and you will get good tips and reviews; provide lousy service and the tips and reviews will also reflect that. If you want a good British pub experience, Ringo's isn't it. Instead, take a drive a couple of exits up the tollway to Main St in Frisco and go to Lochrann's or the Londoner. They at least know how to treat their paying customers and listen to and attempt to correct any issues that those customers are having. read more

After eating at Naan, my girlfriend and I headed over here b/c neither of us had ever been and with the word "pub" in the name we figured we can steer clear of the snotty Plano kind and be with 20 somethings like ourselves and relax a little. My friend and I elbow our way thru the crowd to the bar where she can't decide what to have after her consumption of melontinis and sake over at Naan. I ordered a Red Bull since drinking really screwed me and we are no longer buddies. They let her sample some beers (that was nice) and she settled on a dark amber she loved. We look around to assess the place. Too many bodies, too little space. There was a couple next to us who could not stop molesting each other. PDA is ok, but making others feel like they're extras on the set of a C grade porno is not. And as is typical of the Shops, it's some blonde 47 yr old with her model-esque dark haired lover. She's wearing a white (wayyyy) off-the-shoulder number, black tights, and silver heels that'll put a stripper to shame. He's wearing whatever expensive outfit she bought him with her husband's credit card. Scandalous I tell ya. Over abundance of tools in here. Lots of groups of men, a few women, but mostly men. Gross, overgroomed, hair-gelly, Jersey Shore with a twang, men. Music was good, but a bit too loud. I was sitting next to my friend and we had to talk into eachother's faces supplemented with big hand gestures to communicate. Not impressed. read more

While drinking my way around DFW, I decided to revisit Ringo's Pub and it was pretty much how I remembered it the first time. LOUD!!!! Why do these places have music so loud that it's completely impossible for people to have a conversation. Not only that, but because people have to shout to hear over the music and each other, in gets increasing louder. With that said, it does have a good pub feel to it. I was there with one of my drinking buddies and we decided it was time to eat. I forgot what he had but I went for one of my usual choices, fish and chips. It didn't take long to come out and was pretty good. The batter was just the right thickness, didn't fall off the fish, nice and crunchy, not soggy, and the fries were...well, fries! There is a good beer selection but we did have to ask for glasses to go with our bottled beer. I can't imagine drinking Delirium Nocturnum out of a bottle :) Taylor looked after us well and was always prompt with anything we may have needed. Overall, nice place, we both enjoyed the food and beer selection, take the volume down from 11 so people can talk without screaming. read more

On 6/14 My spouse and I were at the last two seat at the left far end of the bar having a private conversation about work. I'm in politics. As we were talking about history of imperialism within a very healthy conversation, your bartender told us we couldn't talk about that here and she wouldn't serve us. I told her she needed to mind her own business and not ease drop on patrons private conversations! We were told to leave and had the police called. The police laughed about the situation and apologized to us that that had happened. I'm disgusted that your staff thinks they can tell two scholars in a suit and dress not to talk about a topic you learn about in 5th grade in a private conversation. Being discriminated against due to my profession is disgusting. Being ease dropped on is an invasion of privacy. Your manager then lied and told us they had multiple complaints about our conversation when they're wasn't anyone who could even hear us. When I confronted him on the lie he kept stumbling his words trying to make some more stuff up. It was absolutely embarrassing for my wife to deal with. Considering she's dealt with enough discrimination as an immigrant, it's sad we have to deal with it again while we were minding our own business. I recommend you pull tapes. read more

Ringo's Pub feels exactly like a bar or pub, in spite of these establishments being (I think) illegal in Plano. This place has worked itself into our regular happy hour rotation. It does not hurt that I can actually SEE Ringo's from my office window - proximity definitely helps! The waitresses here are all extremely nice and seem like cool girls. I like that they actually show European sports on the TVs, and play good music. The live music they have at times is outdoors, which is nice for those who do not want to scream over the guy with the guitar. Food is pretty good - not as good as, say, Old Monk, but good - and they are accommodating to vegetarians (I have had a couple of items on the menu modified for my veggie tastes). Overall - a fine place to get drunk after hours with work friends, and also a decent place for a midday coworker lunch. read more

Ringo's is an interesting place. We went on a Friday night and it was packed. Ringo's tries hard to be a British pub. It's got the essential pub decorations that you'd expect to see, including the British phone booth. Plus it's got 6 TVs, all tuned to sports. Ringo's isn't very big and seating is hard to come by. Intimate conversations aren't possible and don't be surprised if the people beside you end up sitting really close to you. Pleased-to-meet-you kinda close. Service was excellent. Our waitress was on the run all night and she never missed a beat. They have a decent beer selection. It's nothing like the Saucer but we managed to knock back a few pints. We ordered chips and queso (Wife's fav appetizer) and it was so-so. We also had the fish and chips. Different story all together. They were outstanding!!! Ringo's is great for people watching. It's a real mixed bag. Lots of twenty somethings. There were some thirty somethings thrown in here and there as well. So why 3 stars and not 4? I guess just cause it's so small and was so packed. Called the next day to dispute, talked to Manager Chase then GM Keith, both who said they couldn't do anything about it. You would think a person with a "General Manager" title could do something like reimburse as little as $15. But no, he was rude and unprofessional about it instead. My second trip to Ringo's was spontaneous, walked past on Sunday night and saw the "Happy Hour" sign, so decided to give it a try. Entered and the place was pretty empty, had a strong smell of disinfectant, and we had to change seats twice to find one that wasn't being blasted by a typhoon of cold air. Great selection of beers, mixed drinks were good. Food was just so-so. My wife's fish and chips were still very cold in the middle, and my black-bean nachos didn't seem to have any black beans, oddly enough. When we got the bill, full price for the drinks. Asked the waitress why we weren't getting happy hour prices, she said happy hour is M-F only dude. Pointed out that the chalkboard outside said otherwise, and she said "whoops, we'll go take that down." No offer to fix the tab. Okay, uncomfortable environmental factors, clueless waitstaff, misleading advertising, mediocre food. I can find the great beer selection elsewhere, so that's probably what I'll be doing. Some of you Jersey Shore-loving (okay, I love it, too) frat-tastics may be thinking "but there's always grenades there!" However, sometimes, you need a really laid back bar. And most of the time, Shops at Legacy isn't offering that. Sometimes, you want to watch sports, eat fried pickles, and wear flats--heck, even flip flops! To find a laid back pub where nice people go is really uncommon in this area. The last time I went with a group, another group at a picnic table outside let us join, and we made new friends. If you're in the mood for fake boobs/poor service, go somewhere else. But know that if you go to Ringo's, you'll have fun, your beer will stay full, and your ego will stay in tact. read more
