First I must say we discovered this place in old downtown Plano while exploring DART's new Silver Line. We would have never come here if not for that DART train ride. We sat on the patio, which is adjacent to a small park area with a stage. There was an event happening in the park, so we got to see some live entertainment to boot. After a couple of delicious draft beers, we had steak frites and a Fillmore salad. Both were very good. The salad had a lot of fresh cooked bacon in it and I probably could have done without the grilled chicken I added to the order. Homemade salad dressing were very good. Service was friendly and pleasant and no one rushed us at all. I would come here again if Plano continues to be a part of DART. read more

I was a regular there 2 times a week for 8+ years, I had a problem with a rude person and the place sided with the other guy. If you go there they won't support you. Last night I was at your bar.  I'm a regular come there on average 2 times a week. I know all the bartenders and they all know me. I was sitting with my wife at the corner facing the tv (corner furthest from the kitchen) watching the nfl draft.  There were no other people in that area, in fact there were only a couple other people sitting at the bar closer to the kitchen.  Several people came in and filled up the space between the corner and the wall. As I said my wife and I  were watching the ngl draft, my wife and I were  talking and I  looked up and it was off the draft to a hockey game.  I realized it was the guy at the corner right next to me that asked to have the station changed, he didn't ask if we were watching he just had it changed. I commented to him that it is polite to ask around if anyone was watching what was on before asking to change the channel, he said nothing but his wife said we could move and watch it on the other bar tv.  Quite rude but I bit my tongue.  As these people got up to leave I again suggested he should be polite, well his wife got pissed and started cussing me ou,t words were exchanged with her him and me.  Ben was working and came over and started to give me a hard time about the situation.  That set me off, a regular and you treat me like shit, I knocked over my beer and threw $40 and said I was never coming back there.   Ben should have sided with me and asked the other people to leave as they were already walking out.  And you just lost a longtime regular, never been kicked out, never caused any trouble, tips decent customer.   You need to fix this.   The Fillmore's email and wi-fi don't work. read more

The food here is UNMATCHED. A whole scratch kitchen with a chef and a baker. The food is phenomenal, and never boring. They frequently change the menu up and I recommend ANYTHING on the menu. The fish and chips is not the same under the new owners. It's not fresh and flaky like it used to be. It's soggy and gross. They took it back, tried a second time and it was still nasty. Ordered the Chicken Sliders and Chips, and was very happy with the recommendation. Great taste and well portioned. Huge selection of spirits for all discriminating tastes. Crowd was was laid back and seemed like a great local/neighborhood feel. Good for social gatherings and dates. We stopped by the Fillmore Pub for a late dinner and a drink and I'm glad we did. I've often walked past the Fillmore but never stopped. My husband got the Deli Rueben and I tried the Pepper Jack Chicken Sandwich. We split an order of the Pommes Frites. The Rueben meat was good quality; well trimmed (no overly fatty pieces), full of flavor and not your average store bought lunch meat. The pepper Jack chicken sandwich was impressive. The jalapeño cheddar bun was fresh and so soft. The chicken breast was cooked well and the avocado was delightful. Everything was well seasoned and tasted great. The waitress was sweet and offered opinions on the food and beer. She was well prepared and took backup drink orders in case our first selections were out. The food presentation was limited (sandwiches do not come with a side and sides are $3) but the beers were beautiful. Since it's a pub, this makes sense. Don't let the Fillmore's dark bar setting deter you from coming in for a bite and a beer. While the setting may not be great for conversation, the food is worthy of your time and they do have a nice patio area looking out at downtown Plano. read more

The bartenders were attentive and helpful in both our meal selections and learning more about the area. My husband had the Guinness Burger. It had great flavor, meat was cooked perfectly and it was a good portion. I went with the hummus plater. The hummus had great flavor and I appreciated the warmed pita bread along with the feta, olives, tomatoes, cucumber, and onion. The ambiance resembles what you are expecting when you think of a British pub. While on the darker lit side, it was warm and welcoming. read more

Overall it was ok but i expected the fish to be firm and thoroughly cooked and it was just coming apart when I poked it with my fork. I like the fries. They were pretty huge. We wanted to sit at the bar but it closed due to Covid which is understandable. I actually do not work to far from this restaurant and have been there to the happy hour a few times. However, the services was a little off I almost felt like me and my friend was being rushed to order. We came to watch the game Sunday night. Outside of that the food was good we just shared the fish and chips to eat. I tried the Whiskey Sour and one of the IPA's Juice Pack which is locally brewed in Plano. We tried this place because I was really wanting fish and chips. It was hopping for happy hour on a Friday evening. Server was there right away... but not overly welcoming. The beer menu is huge and has a really great variety. I ordered a Karbach Citrus draft and Hubby got a cider. Both good. I did notice some wine servings going by but the pours were very small. For dinner I did get the fish and chips and hubby got their Rueben. The food came out pretty quick. Ketchup, salt, pepper, malt vinegar and hot sauce were available at the table. My choice needed all of the above. Are restaurants afraid of seasoning?!! The fish was crispy and HOT but was just eh... hubby's sandwich was big and juicy and pretty tasty. Stopped in here for a quick drink after dinner with a friend. It's pretty dimly lit, which you expect from a pub, but created an almost unwelcoming environment when you combined it with the staff taking 10 minutes to even greet us at the table we had sat at. Once greeted, the service was fair. However, after 20 minutes of waiting on us, the waitress needed to tab us out since she was leaving. I realize this happens at a restaurant but it just didn't settle well after the beginning introduction to the pub. The drinks were fairly affordable, especially for Dallas area. There must've been a change of ownership or kitchen staff. Food quality has fallen quite a bit. We used to get burgers here often but every ingredient is worse. Beef patty is more processed, texture seems like it's cooked from frozen. Reminded me of a frozen Costco patty. Bun seemed drier and old. Cheese is totally different on the guiness burger. Red onions cut too thick and it was all I tasted. Fries were cooked for less time, floppy and not super crispy like they used to be. Kind of a strange experience. A beautiful old building! Nice atmosphere with good space. The bar is huge! Earlier I read a review that commented on "apparent racism" because his friend of color was the only black person in the place . . . I was so tempted to take pictures of the folkS I saw as well as the employees. My experience was NOT the same. That is a serious judgment to make. It's not good for anyone and slams shut communication for ANYone wanting to have a cold beer and conversation. Just sayin. They make their own incredible chips. I could order only this and be happy. I had a French dip and my husband had sliders. It went great with his IPA as did my whiskey sour. Try it yourself - you can even sit outside. It was Christmas, so not many restaurants were open. We rolled by and saw that this place was. It was a real dark atmosphere. I must say, we had an overall pleasant experience. Me, and one of my friends ordered a cup of chili and a salad. The chili came out with the meal, and the salad never came out at all. Obviously, I said the chili back. I had the Fillmore cheeseburger with homemade potato chips and it was very very good. It is one of the best restaurant burgers I've had in a long time, I give it 3 1/2 stars, but top notch for a dive bar. read more
