I didn't try the food when I checked this place out, but I love the drinks and the vibe! It kind of reminds me of a Sherlock's bar, but on a smaller scale, and without pool tables or darts (board games are available though for playing). They have a couple of beers on tap, along with a selection of bottled beers. Their choices of liquors though are plentiful. Signature cocktails are offered, and I was happy with their house old fashioned. I do enjoy the fact that they offer a wide assortment of whiskey, with some as cheap as $6 for a shot! Food was absolutely atrocious. I ordered Steak Frites for $25, medium rare. Received an offensively tiny piece of dry, overcooked, unseasoned, chewy "steak" with the saddest dry, stale french fries that tasted like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp all day. Absolutely inedible. My husband got the roast beef sandwich which the menu described as "loaded with roast beef" - when it came out it barely had any roast beef, there was more mayo lathered on than meat. My brother in law ordered a vegetable soup that he described as tasting like canned soup with a bunch of tabasco added, to the point where he was coughing and making sour faces whenever he tried to take a bite. Really great staff! Everyone was super friendly. Especially when I left the hand picked flower arrangement I made for my date, I called the next day and the manager Nick was determined to help me find them and eventually did! Ummm above and beyond. Good food, great environment...but the CoVid fear has killed it. To be fair, we have been here MULTIPLE times and had a great experience. Normally, I'd give them 4 stars...but this time there is no way to do that. You order from the bar (never seen that..anywhere) and even then, they don't circulate and refill drinks at all. They require you to open a tab because they don't circulate or service. They only pick up trash and they tried to pick up our appetizers too early, then when I walked up to the bar to order they tabbed me out without asking if I wanted anything (and we wanted food). We go out twice a week and only go to locally owned places and I've not seen another place that has such complacent service. There were people sitting/standing at the bar without masks and the staff was more engaged with one group in particular than ANYONE in the restaurant. No one in that group was wearing masks and they were not eating and two didn't have drinks. This is laziness hiding behind CoVid. We will wait to come back. read more

The best pub in downtown Plano! Okay, it is the only pub there but it's a good one - Dark woods everywhere, dim lighting, and chill atmosphere. They have around a dozen draft beers and many more bottled options. The pints are a true 16oz except for the Guiness which is 20oz. How's the food? The onion rings are above average. Thin cut with a flaky and crispy coating served with an aioli sauce. The cheese fries are legit with copious amounts of sharp cheddar and a side of ranch sauce. There's a veggie burger and veggie sandwich for those trying to be healthy, but if you're drinking pints, you might as well splurge for the cheese fries. I'd rate the burger as average. I hear they have brunch too! read more

Wow, I have never had as great an experience as I had at the Fillmore Pub tonight. First of all, the music is excellent- where else can you hear Joy Division and Dr Dog while you have a top-shelf scotch? The service was incredible- everyone I interacted with, from Lance and April at the bar, Liz and Tyus, helping others- man, so friendly and real. Even though I am an old, boring dude, they made me feel right at home. Lance really knows his stuff, too- he guided me to exactly what I wanted to drink. I had been out here from California for 4 days, and this place was exactly what I needed. Worth the drive- and the rest of the area looks great, too. I wish I hadn't wasted my previous nights at more corporate places. Next time I come back, I am starting here. read more

Staff has masks and gloves. Maintained distance in all conversation. Tables are socially distanced. Service is all walk up at the bar- no lingering. Seat yo self and relax. Great selection of drinks and always fantastic pours. Settled on a blood orange rattler. Ordered fish and chips. Fulfilled all my unknown needs that day. The beer was cold refreshing. We stopped here on Saturday night as we were waiting for our table at Urban Crust next door. I loved the atmosphere and they have a great beer selection. I ordered a Guinness and it was perfect. We came here on St. Patrick's Day which fell on a Saturday. They had the bar inside and a tent outside with beer, wine, and soda. Family friendly during the day with live bands. Big area with ample seating (not at tables but on the ledges or steps). Easy time getting a drink and getting inside to use the bathroom. Everyone one was in a great mood and all dressed in green. Ordered delivery via door dash because I was craving fish n chips. The fish was cooked perfectly with a light flaky crust. The fries were cooked well but had a little too much seasoning on them, which made them over whelming and almost too seasoned to pair with the fish. The calamari was also good, it was heavily breaded and fried (almost over done with too thick of a breading, reason for 4 stars). Delivery may have had a play in the way the food was as it sat in a to go container for 15 min while being delivered, but I know it wasn't too long as the food was still piping hot. I'm sure this place offers a better experience for in person dining and when craving a decent fish and chips at a reasonable price, this would be a good place to go. read more

So I've been here 4 times in total, today was likely the last time I will dine in. The service today was absolutely awful, me and my friend sat down waited 15 minutes to be served or even just acknowledged, the waitress talked to the couple next to us looked at me then went to the bar and asked a random guy what he wanted and he just walked up to the bar. Honestly It sucks because I just wanted to show my friend a good time since the food there is actually pretty decent but I mean I guess it's whatever. I've been to Fillmores a many times over the years but after tonight, my wife, our friends we were with and myself won't be returning. It is 100% understandable for a business to require masks (legal requirements and all), but being singled out and aggressively told to put on mask while half the bar staff themselves and customers do not have masks on is unreasonable. To make matters worse, after putting on the mask we were told by the bartender that she was "uncomfortable" serving us. These times are confusing enough as is, it is unnecessary to have double standards. I'm not exactly sure what the circumstances were in this case... maybe certain staff was under stress from management, or maybe the other guests who were not being told to wear masks at the bar are friends of the staff? Not sure. No matter what, won't be returning. read more

My first experience in what my fiance affectionately calls DTP. Gold ole downtown Plano. DTP is by no means DTLA, however that could mean a good thing right?! Definitely a lot less traffic in DTP compared to DTLA. Being a definite outsider to Plano and Texas in general, I walked into Fillmore Pub and felt a little more at home. People are enjoying themselves, people of all creed are together, the mood lighting is great, and the food made me happy. Need I say this? But Fillmore Pub is definitely the hot spot in DTP. I love Irish pubs and I love Guinness so Fillmore Pub was a great find when you're in the old downtown area of Plano. I came here with some work friends and we sat at the top floor which provided a good view of the surrounding area. Service was pretty fast and the food was pretty good, standard pub food is how I would define it. Of course they have a great selection of beers and drinks on tap and on the menu. I like the setup of the restaurant also and the multiple levels. read more
