Big Mikes Review I am giving a second review of Big Mikes Bar & Grill. We went there a few months ago because we heard wonderful reviews from friends and family. We had a bad experience with service that evening and provided negative reviews on our experience. We decided to give them another chance. This last Friday night we had a completely different experience with service that was A+! The service from hostess's, our waitress, other support servers and the owner was exceptional!!! Shout outs...Jenny the owner. She came to our table and was so nice and helpful. We explained our first negative experience and she admitted some struggles they had as a new business and have worked to improve. Summer. She was our waitress and she was so helpful and on point with service. New waitress Ava was in training and so helpful and fun. The food. Wow-the scratch kitchen food was all wonderful! Friday night was the fish platter special that I had and was awesome! All the drinks, appetizers and other entrees were spectacular! Friday night was live music night and was really good to provide a nice music vibe. Big Mike's...great job and you hit a home run on making improvements in service. We will be back and will recommend to others! read more

My wife and I really enjoyed our first visit to Big Mike's. We always like to find and support new local establishments that are committed to customer service. The service was very good and I enjoyed the chicken tenders that were lightly breaded and definitely fresh prepared and not frozen. I feel we got great value for our money given how large the portions were. The bar also did a good job serving up some cocktails. Definitely recommend and we'll go back again. read more

Tried this great new place in Plano last night. We had excellent service from Jordan. We tried the Reuben Egg-rolls which were so delicious and crunchy, definitely recommend. We shared the Trash Plate and enjoyed every bite. Our daughter had the Big Mike burger and enjoyed every bite except the one I stole. The burger was fresh and flavorful. The fries were underdone, but we were able to share that with Big Mike and his wife Jen when they came by our table to great us. They were very friendly and so glad we came in to give them a try. They shared with us that it was three weeks last night since they opened and they were glad we came out. We will definitely be back to try other items in the menu! Brand new bar and grill in Plano. We visited a day after Christmas to specifically have drinks. The atmosphere is bright and this is more of a 'grill" than a bar where you can't really hang out and party the whole night. Menu seems solid and definitely would like to comeback to try some of the items that caught our attention. Service was really friendly at the bar. We can't wait to come back to try their Friday prime rib special. read more

Checked out Big Mike's and had a great experience overall. The service was excellent with super friendly staff, and our whole family really enjoyed the smash burgers. The ROC Original Trash Plate was a standout and made for an awesome hangover meal. The atmosphere was just okay, but considering it's a brand new spot, it has a lot of potential and is definitely worth checking out. read more

Checked out Big Mike's Bar Saturday night instead of any of the regular places, so glad we did. Super friendly staff and the owners are so nice and fun to talk to. The hot wings reminded us of a place from college and the double smash was on point. Headed back for either brunch or music bingo night. Go Bills!! read more

The food is excellent! We had the nicest server, and I just love the owner's Mike & Jennie. My favorite is the Smash Burger & Wings, my husband really likes the Prime Rib Special, the bar is also great! If you are in Plano, you have to try this place. It is located off of Parker & Alma in the "old Pancho's" building. What clean nice place to go and enjoy. I also encourage you to Sunday brunch it was nice. read more

The food here is mediocre at best. It's food I can make myself at home. Definitely nothing special and overpriced for what it is. The staff is very nice and attentive. This is a place to go to for the bar only. read more

Big Mike's Bar and Grill is absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious, and the service was even better. I ordered the quesadillas, and they were some of the best I have ever had. They were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I also tried one of their West New York specialties (I believe it was called "Garbage" or "Trash"), and it was outstanding. It was truly to die for. It was great meeting Big Mike himself. We had a wonderful conversation, and it is clear that he genuinely cares about his customers. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Great food, great service, and ice cold beer. You simply cannot go wrong. This is a fantastic place to eat, relax, and enjoy good company. I highly recommend it. read more

Went to Big Mike's for dinner. I'll preface this by saying we are from Rochester, just as Big Mike and his family are. We ordered the buffalo wings for an appetizer, and they were delicious! Entree's were white Zweigle's hot dogs loaded, they offer white or red, it's unique to Zweigle's, a trash plate, and a double cheeseburger. There was a band and they were great! Big Mike's Bar and Grill has all the ingredients and charm to compare to Cheers in Boston. We went there today to watch the Patriots destroy the Jets and we enjoyed talking with other Pats fans. Nate was an engaging bartender; top notch. The kitchen executed flawlessly on our specific food requests. Mike's has a diverse menu and we can't wait to try them. The owners are directly involved in customer interaction and aim to please. Wicked cool place, and, if you're a NE Patriots fan, hope to see you there Sunday 1/4 for the Miami game. read more

Ok. Second time here. Not as good as first time but still pretty good. Service - great. Time to get food - Fair. Food - had Chicken Fried Steak again. Medium warm when served. Piece of steak much smaller than first time. Entertainment - very good but can't talk. Price - this is weak point of restaurant. Very pricey. Chicken Fried Steak was $24. The serving size was barely worth it. Probably will try one more time then decide if I come back. read more

Came here for dinner on Friday night with my dad. Service was great, Jordan was very sweet and friendly, hell the whole staff was friendly. Mike wasn't there that night, but Jenny was and she's great. Funny, friendly, and so welcoming. Those Reuben egg rolls were the BOMB. We will definitely be back! read more

Great people running this place, local hockey family. Full of energy, great atmosphere. Lots of TV's for your sports team. Really good food, plenty of choices. The salmon is great, chicken fried steak got better. We went to Big Mike's after reading great reviews online about this new establishment. We're already planning on going again soon and can't wait to try more of the food. Service was A+, Food was obviously freshly prepared and the quality was great. People have mentioned the pricing being a bit higher and you're talking a couple of bucks, but definitely worth it. It's in the old "Panchos" location, so a little bit tough to find if you're not familiar with that landmark. The renovations are clean and the bar area/tv's are a great setup. read more

What a fun place! Me and some friends came up here last night to watch the Cowboy game and have a couple of drinks. We chatted with the owners Mike and Jen and got such a warm, caring, vibe. The place is huge (used to Pancho's, then some other places) and super clean and nice inside. The owner, Mike, built the bar himself. They have 3-4 beers on tap and plenty of liquor choices, 5-6 big TVs. I didn't eat but my friends had wings, and said they were great! We will be back for sure! read more

This place has just opened and seemed a bit quiet for a sports bar. That was ok with me, since i dislike noisy places. We came because people recommended it for good food. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There were TV's on most walls. I noticed the same hockey game on all but one tv with basketball. We ordered one prime rib serving because it was about a pound per the server. It came with a generous portion of mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was plenty for the two of us. I was disappointed that it was cooked medium well done. I like it medium rare. We weren't asked how we wanted it done. I presumed that all prime rib was served medium rare. It was not bad, but it wasn't great, for my taste. Potatoes weren't whipped, just mashed with lumps. The asparagus was delicious. My husband wasn't pleased when his Dr. Pepper came in a can. He likes refills for free. We had to ask for horseradish sauce and my water was not refilled until I asked at the end of our meal. It was not remotely busy and later in the evening, but our waiter disappeared for a good while. I'm sure their burgers, chicken strips, and sandwiches are good. I'd go back to try them. read more
