Wow! They've really improved since my last visit! There are less items on the menu and the quality and portions have increased significantly. I got the Reuben sandwich which was thick, hot and delicious. I also tasted the chicken tenders which were crispy crunchy in the outside and juicy & tender inside. Had a Buffalo Chicken sandwich and it was great. Big piece of chicken with just the right amount of Buffalo hot sauce cooked perfectly and very tasty. Tater tots with it were also cooked with the right amount of crisp. Service was outstanding, even while training a new person. Definitely will be back to try other food items on the menu. For starters, we sat down and got waters but it took someone 20 minutes to come get our drink order. I ordered an old fashioned and it might possibly be the worst one I've ever had. Check the picture, but there's not a single bitters sighting. I will say the food could've actually been basic bar food, but then the ranch came out and I'm telling you....... It had to be straight up mayonnaise clods..... I was close to gagging with how thick it was. Then we ordered the chicken quesadillas because it says online they're $9 on their website for specials, but when arriving they informed us that they were different...so $15 for a quesadilla for chicken and cheese, it was suppose to have onions and peppers in them. I could've made this at home and WAY better let me add. The chicken was so hard and chewy I couldn't even finish chewing my bite of quesadilla. Brand new bar and grill in Plano. We visited a day after Christmas to specifically have drinks. The atmosphere is bright and this is more of a 'grill" than a bar where you can't really hang out and party the whole night. Menu seems solid and definitely would like to comeback to try some of the items that caught our attention. Service was really friendly at the bar. We decided to try something new and Big Mikes menu and reviews looked like exactly want we were looking for. Unfortunately today's experience did not live up to expectations. The experience was completely unacceptable. We spent a total of 3 hours there and during that time we were only able to get an appetizer and two rounds of drinks. It took more than an hour to order our mains even though two staff members came by to see how we were doing and each time we told them we were waiting to order, which apparently didn't mean anything to them. When we were able to finally ordered we waited another hour and we finally just gave up and left as it was apparent that it wasn't going to come anytime soon. I don't know if this was a fluke but needless to say we will not be returning to Big Mikes, once was more than enough. read more

Big Mikes Review I am giving a second review of Big Mikes Bar & Grill. We went there a few months ago because we heard wonderful reviews from friends and family. We had a bad experience with service that evening and provided negative reviews on our experience. We decided to give them another chance. This last Friday night we had a completely different experience with service that was A+! The service from hostess's, our waitress, other support servers and the owner was exceptional!!! Shout outs...Jenny the owner. She came to our table and was so nice and helpful. We explained our first negative experience and she admitted some struggles they had as a new business and have worked to improve. Summer. She was our waitress and she was so helpful and on point with service. New waitress Ava was in training and so helpful and fun. The food. Wow-the scratch kitchen food was all wonderful! Friday night was the fish platter special that I had and was awesome! All the drinks, appetizers and other entrees were spectacular! Friday night was live music night and was really good to provide a nice music vibe. Big Mike's...great job and you hit a home run on making improvements in service. Tried this great new place in Plano last night. We had excellent service from Jordan. We tried the Reuben Egg-rolls which were so delicious and crunchy, definitely recommend. We shared the Trash Plate and enjoyed every bite. Our daughter had the Big Mike burger and enjoyed every bite except the one I stole. The burger was fresh and flavorful. The fries were underdone, but we were able to share that with Big Mike and his wife Jen when they came by our table to great us. They were very friendly and so glad we came in to give them a try. They shared with us that it was three weeks last night since they opened and they were glad we came out. We will definitely be back to try other items in the menu! Big Mike's Bar and Grill is absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious, and the service was even better. I ordered the quesadillas, and they were some of the best I have ever had. They were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I also tried one of their West New York specialties (I believe it was called "Garbage" or "Trash"), and it was outstanding. It was truly to die for. It was great meeting Big Mike himself. We had a wonderful conversation, and it is clear that he genuinely cares about his customers. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Great food, great service, and ice cold beer. You simply cannot go wrong. The food is excellent! We had the nicest server, and I just love the owner's Mike & Jennie. My favorite is the Smash Burger & Wings, my husband really likes the Prime Rib Special, the bar is also great! If you are in Plano, you have to try this place. Went to Big Mike's for dinner. I'll preface this by saying we are from Rochester, just as Big Mike and his family are. We ordered the buffalo wings for an appetizer, and they were delicious! Entree's were white Zweigle's hot dogs loaded, they offer white or red, it's unique to Zweigle's, a trash plate, and a double cheeseburger. There was a band and they were great! What a fun place! Me and some friends came up here last night to watch the Cowboy game and have a couple of drinks. We chatted with the owners Mike and Jen and got such a warm, caring, vibe. The place is huge (used to Pancho's, then some other places) and super clean and nice inside. The owner, Mike, built the bar himself. They have 3-4 beers on tap and plenty of liquor choices, 5-6 big TVs. I didn't eat but my friends had wings, and said they were great! We will be back for sure! read more
