We had the happy hour bodacious burgers cooked medium where you get two small bodacious burgers then we had some fries other folks had burgers, one had the salad and another had a grilled cheese and all were prepared perfectly, and the food was delicious as always, we had the sweet potato fries which we just love and again cooked perfectly! The ambience is a lot of fun since it's rodeo goat you have a lot of goat pictures and things like that which really add to the fun of eating at rodeo goat which we thoroughly enjoy each time we go and they have an outside patio that's fun for the kids and just makes it a fun evening for the family! My family and I decided to go to Rodeo Goat for lunch. We walked in, were politely greeted, and told to sit wherever we wanted. There was plenty of seating at the restaurant with long tables, sit down tables, and outdoor seating. After choosing our table we waited 15 minutes before our waitresses showed up. They were very busy with the lunch rush so it took awhile between everything. It even took awhile to get our waters. One waitress was in training and learning from the other. The positive was that the waitresses were friendly throughout. After looking at the menu and waiting another 15 minutes we finally placed our order. We got our appetizer after waiting another 15 minutes. Thankfully that held us over until we got our burgers and fries. We started with tostada chips and queso. It was good and we ate it up pretty quickly. We requested another basket of chips to finish off the queso. To eat with our burgers we ordered hand punched fries and sweet potato fries. The hand cut fries were nice and thick and you could taste the salt. I enjoyed eating them with ketchup. The sweet potato fries were also thick and salty and you could taste the flavor of the potato. No need for ketchup with these fries unless you want it. For my burger I ordered the HL Hunt cooked medium which comes with white cheese, bacon, blackberry compote and mustard. The burger was filling, the cheese was melted but it had little flavor, and the bacon was chewy. The compote was my favorite part of the burger as it added a slightly sweet flavor. I requested a medium cooked burger but it didn't taste that way but it was still good despite that. This is a huge location with a lot of (backless) barstools and a few standard tables. They have a great HH specials if you can make it. We've been to other RG locations and this was similar to those. It wasn't overly busy, so we were promptly helped. We started with the $6 HH special, Rattlesnake, which is a frozen marg with sangria swirl. It was heavenly! And at $6, sign me up for two! We stopped by Rodeo Goat in Plano before the dinner rush and noticed the staff busy filling a lot of to-go orders. The atmosphere is super laid back and casual, which we liked--but just a heads up, this isn't the place to go if you're in a hurry. They definitely take their time. There's a ton of seating both inside and outside, and the space itself is pretty fun. The decor is entertaining and they even have some little games around, which adds to the vibe. We tried the Burger of the Month winner, Saddle Up!, along with the Firebird burger, homemade Goat chips, and a strawberry milkshake. One thing that surprised us was that the burgers don't come with any sides, so we had to order the Goat chips separately. The chips were great though, and the ranch that came with them was really good. The strawberry milkshake was a highlight--super creamy and delicious since it's made with real Blue Bell ice cream. I went here on 9/5/26 with my 2 older kids. We were greeted by a super friendly host (whose name escapes me), and sat down to order. He explained the menu and made some recommendations. There were plenty of people there, but it wasn't too loud, and it felt comfortable inside. We ordered the cheese fries as an appetizer and I got the hatch burger, my son got the royal with cheese, and my daughter only likes plain burgers so she got meat/cheese only. The service was fantastic, and the food really surprised all of us with how great it was. The host was super patient and really upbeat and helpful. I love that they not only offer a wide selection of burgers on the menu but also have these battle burgers which I believe change every month. My husband and I were seated in a small booth in the bar in between wait staff on break. Mind you, there was plenty of seating elsewhere in the restaurant. The staff was either all on break at the same time or not taking their job seriously. Staff was playing around and very loud. We only had interaction with someone taking our order one time. Waited for server to come back but never did. Bartender ended up checking us out. While eating my burger I bit into a large, very hard object wedged in the bun. When I pointed it out to bartender she brushed it off stating " oh that's a peppercorn from the pickle brine." This is absolutely not acceptable and such an object should not be brushed off or in food being served. Choking hazard and could have damaged a tooth. We will not be eating here again. read more

this is a 3 becasue we love rodeo goat, but this was a 1 star experience (thus an average of 3 stars). This was a rough day at Rodeo Goat. It turns out the waiter/server we had was on his first day. He took our order for drinks and came right back with them. We ordered an appetizer and that showed up in 15 minutes, but the place was very busy. He took our order for the main meal and that was the last we saw of him for 20 minutes. We were having a great conversation, so we really did not notice our meal had not shown up. He let us know he checked on the order with the kitchen and said they were backed up. He refreshed our drinks and that was the last we saw of him for 30 minutes. This time we noticed. We finally got a different wait staff to find him. He cam back again and said the order was in but it was just taking a long time. Another 30 minutes passed, the manager finally made his way to the table and brought our order. They comped the meal and were very apologetic. Not bad waiting and hour and 20 minutes to get a meal at Rodeo Goat. Not a typical experience. The other 4 times we have been to Rodeo Goat (not this location) it was always great. Came here with a friend after a week of work meetings. Nice casual spot to just relax and catch up. Service was very good. Very friendly and patient with us taking forever to decide what we want. One server was training another, and I would've never known except for they mentioned it. Everything was smooth and they gave us space and time to chat. I ordered one of the weekly burgers, El Rodeo. Had really good flavor and was cooked nicely. The fries were incredible! My friend got the firebird and also enjoyed hers. We both got some churros to go.. It's almost not fair to Rodeo Goat that I am doing keto because this burger in a bowl doesn't do justice to the whole idea of top end hamburgers. This was a masterpiece but it's like asking Monet to paint without using blue. The "Brad Sham" included bacon and tomato and jalapenos and fried onion and jalapeno pickled chutney and it was absolutely amazing. Not amazing, and not terrible- just an average burger joint. Wait service is friendly but that's about it. Expect it to take some time to order and see your waiter. I recommend looking at the menu beforehand and be ready to order when you first see the waiter if you want to keep things moving. My primary issue though is that no one checks in after the order is dropped at the table, which for me translates to this restaurant does not really care- 'take it or leave it'. We didn't see the waiter until the end of the meal when we asked for the check. The flavors were good, interesting combinations. Location is near a beautiful bridge and their outdoor patio area is perfect. Me and a friend met up for lunch and our food and vibes were awesome.
