A good place to chill and bring your dog to the patio. They have a live band from time to time I think. I didn't get a chance to try their food yet but plan to. Drinks are good and service is friendly. Will be back to give an updated review

Stopped in late on a Saturday night with a group of 5. We were seated promptly, in a corner as far away from the stage as possible. it did not matter the band was so loud we could barley talk to each other. on top of how mind numbingly loud the music was, it was not that good. The singer needed a lot of work, like honestly I have heard karaoke singers better. All that aside the service was not bad, but not great. We ordered drink and apps, but got the apps before we got our drinks. Guess the bar was backed up and the kitchen was not. Fried 5 sampler, $20: Curly fries, onion rings, fried pickles, fried jalapenos & mini corn dogs. its a big plate, but just a bunch of frozen stuff that is deep fried. It was ok, good for a big group. I would not get it for an individual meal. Whole 9 yards burger, $13: It was fine. I honestly did not read the entire list of ingredients which does list chili as part of the part of burger. I was a bit surprised when I took a bite and found Chili with beans on the burger. I ended up scraping off all the chili. not a fan of chili with beans. In general it was ok, but would not recommend because of the chili. Drinks: The beer menu is large. I had a beer, but several at the table got signature cocktails. In general the drinks were not very good. In the end, its a bar and if just getting a drink in that area its ok. but if looking for a nice dinner I would look at the other options in the area. They honestly need to turn down the music. Cannot recommend or return.

Why do I keep coming here? Well, Allen doesn't have a ton of dive bars for one, and this only qualifies because it is dingy AF. They have a large selection of drinks available. Secondly when you are shopping or playing a long day of Pokemon Go you just need a beer bad and this is your only real option. They have the best location to snag a table on the patio green for a drink. Inside is a bit depressing so head out to patio overlooking the green space, or for the events put on by Watters Creek mgmt. Also, they have some live music inside as well. Service is not their main focus. The food is on theme but still not the reason you come here. I mean I will keep coming back. I drink beer so legit.

I lived in Dallas for 20+ years and I had never been to The Lion & Crown Pub!!! It was an absolute awesome time!!! The music/band was awesome! Highly recommend for anyone who has yet to find this hidden gem. Parking is tricky along with the stairs but not bad. Have a fantastic time!!

My friend recommended this on his list of Irish Pubs around here, so I decided to give it a try. For a strip mall Irish Pub, it does take you into another world. Cool entrance that opens up to a horseshoe bar with tons of tables and booths. It was Trivia night, so they only had the Stanley Cup playoff on one TV. Sat down at the bar and ordered my Guinness and reviewed the menu. There were a couple of selections I was interested in (always gravitate to Bangers n' Mash), but went with the fish & chips with French Onion soup. Get these together, because the fish is delicious in the beef broth of the French Onion! It was good, though fish could've used a little more batter with the thick walleye filets. I loved it all and enjoyed the conversation with the bartender with the I Love Indie Horror hat. Some good ones out there that aren't being made like they use to!!

After we paid our bill with a credit card, I noticed that we were charged a 3% credit card fee. That was a first, and likely began in April since our last visit was on 3/24/26 and no credit card fee was assessed. Nowhere on the menu was it mentioned there would be a credit card fee, nor was it articulated by a bartender. That sort of fee makes me wonder what's going on in this establishment. Not sure we'll be back.

I ate the Asian barbecue chicken sandwich and it was phenomenal. The breading was great, the sauce was delicious, and the contents complimented each other nicely. Another member of my group ate the fish and chips, also complimenting the breading. I would advise getting a fried dish here as it was delicious. The ambience was average bar type decor. So, we thought - why not, it's close- let's go and see if we like it better this time. Let's start with the positives. We arrived shortly after 5pm and the place was pretty empty so we were seated right away. The server was friendly and immediately took our drink orders. She was attentive and service was fast. No complaints with her service at all. It seemed pretty chill and low key. A few people trickled in but nothing crazy for a Saturday night. We ordered the pretzel appetizer and I was pleasantly surprised. The color of the pretzel had me fooled. It was pretty dark in color which usually indicates overdone and hard so when it was amazingly soft inside - wow! So good! We loved the mustard and cheese sauce that came with it. My husband and son ordered a burger and said they were tasty, my other son ordered the chicken strips and said they were good. Negative for the meal, I ordered the blackened cod tacos and subbed the chips and salsa for the Gilroy Garlic Fries. I was very excited for the garlic fries since we are originally from that area and are very knowledgeable about the famous Gilroy Garlic Festival and all things Garlic. Here's where this dish wasn't exciting - the tacos were pretty bland. I took the coleslaw from my son's chicken tenders to try and add more flavor and make the taco more palatable. I only ate 1 of the 2 because there really was just zero flavor. The fries were probably an even greater disappointment. In the center, was a very small amount of cheese and maybe garlic? It had virtually zero garlic taste - I was searching for it. It was a sad version of garlic fries. I would not order that again unless they were improved upon. I went back and forth on 3 stars versus 4 stars because while service was great and fast, I can't confidently say I'd recommend it to someone. I may say it's a great place to chill for a beer and an appetizer but definitely NOT a meal. I think if your expectations are to stick with the appetizer list then you're probably going to like it. They have a large beer selection and plenty of screens for your favorite games.

We walked into the bar 90 minutes before kickoff and found a table in the middle of the bar that could accommodate our party and had good viewing of the screens. As we went to sit down, a man approached us and told us that the table we were sitting at was for some "regulars" and asked us to move. The table had no sign on it that it was reserved and this man did not identify himself as an owner or manager of the establishment. Choosing to take the high road, I moved our group to another table that could accommodate our party that was off to the side. Sure enough, the "regulars" came rolling in shortly before kickoff to their "unreserved" reserved table. This is just bad business. And discourages people who are not "regulars" from coming to the bar. I regularly attend a Chicago Bears bar in Los Angeles where I live and have never had such issues. There are no unspoken "reserved" tables for "regulars." It's completely first come, first serve as it should be. If you want your "regulars" to have their table waiting for them when they arrive, just stick a reserved sign on it. Or tell them to get there early. Not difficult. We also waited forever for our drinks while the "regulars" at their "unreserved" reserved table were kept fully stocked. The service and the food was mid anyway and not worth the price. Trust me, I picked up what you were laying down. We aren't regulars, so it's whatever. I won't be back.
