Ruben with old meat and cold fry's. I ate half of a half!

I don't even want to give a 1 Star, this establishment has gone so down Hill! Since 2000, I have been a patron of this establishment. Now only disappointed. I keep giving it the benefit of doubt only to be disappointed! I ordered the Ruben, if you can see in the photo the meat is OLD. Tasted old and hard could not finish my sandwich, feel sick that I ate what i did. I was hungry. Not fresh fry's, reheated/cold French fry's. Sadly, was my only meal of the day! The "Blue Moons beer" took care of the hunger thank goodness. My husband Stomach of iron had the Cheese steak! Nothing ever bothers him and he loved the "Long Island ice tea and a walk back to the hotel he was fine. We had walked to the business wanting to release the pressure of today's work. Emma our server was by far the most pleasant, she was attentive and met our needs! However our dismay, we were still charged for the meal in question. However, if she addressed our concern with her manager her tip would have been the price of the meal in question plus the normal over 20% we always give. To say that least The Londoner is not anything special anymore. I have strong doubts that in the near future we won't be returning!

The Londoner is a decent bar located on Midway Rd. I haven't tried any of the food, so I can't speak on that, but the staff was friendly during my one visit here and the pour on my "kettle one on the rocks" was decent. This place is larger than it appears on the outside, so I would highly recommend this bar for a group happy hour or a large event.

I absolutely love this place. I've been coming to The Londoner in Addison for years, and it's always a great time. After Covid, I haven't been able to enjoy a Boddingtons here--which isn't their fault of course--but I do miss it. Honestly, I'd hop a plane to London for one of those bad boys! The bar staff here is always fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and confident in their recommendations. You can tell they stand behind their menu, and it shows. Over the years, I've tried a wide variety of dishes: the cheese toast with tomato soup, fish and chips, shepherd's pie, cottage pie, chicken tikka masala, and the bangers and mash. Every single one has been excellent. If I had to pick a favorite, it might just be the cheese toast with tomato soup--it's simple, comforting, and always hits the spot. That said, I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered. Whether it's for dinner and drinks, just a pint, or catching a Premier League or international football match, The Londoner has the perfect atmosphere. It's one of the best spots around to watch a game. And while I still miss the Boddingtons, I have to say their Old Speckled Hen is top-notch. Bottom line: great food, great drinks, great staff, and an unbeatable atmosphere. I'll definitely keep coming back.

Best British pub in the DFW area: The Londoner. The ambiance, staff, prices, and especially the fish and chips are all fantastic! The service is excellent, even on busy soccer game days. Highly recommend visiting on dark, gloomy Sundays--you'll love this place!

I had their chicken Indian dish and it was very good. I liked their Naan bread served with it.

Would this be considered a kid friendly establishment?

I would think not. The smoking levels are pretty heavy and it's more of a sports bar so bad languis often heard.

Does this place have premier league screenings?

Yes all the games that are shown on nbc sports

We got a cheeseboard, but if I had to recommend one thing, definitely the fried mushrooms if you like mushrooms. They're huge and the spicy cilantro sour cream sauce is killer! We sat in the indoor/outdoor area, which was my fave. It can take a minute to flag someone down when it's busy, but that felt understandable for how busy they were. Easy place to settle into and lose track of time a bit--just drinks, conversation, and good food without overthinking it.

The Guinness is poured so perfectly it should be in the Louvre. The bartender, Austin (I'm pretty sure that's his real name and not just what he tells customers), has the patience of a saint and the sarcasm of a man who's been asked "Do you have anything like Guinness but less dark?" one too many times. Highlights: The fish & chips were so good I briefly considered converting to Catholicism just so I could thank God properly. The bathroom graffiti is poetic. "Roses are red, violets are blue, I came for a piss and met half the crew." - actual quote. Then you've got Hannah, who's basically the pub's chaos coordinator. She's got blonde hair that could guide ships in a fog and a laugh that echoes like a banshee having a great time. Don't sleep on Wes - He'll nod once, slide you your drink, and if you're lucky, mutter something profound like "Life's short, drink good stout." Then he disappears to polish glasses like he's auditioning for a monastery. Absolute mystery man, 10/10 enigma. And rounding out the crew is Paige, the wildcard. She's got stories that start with "Back in then..." and end with police chases, lost sheep, and at least one exploding still. She'll flirt with your grandma, roast your ex in three sentences or less. There is also this Asian guy that looks like a confused troll with blonde hair. He lives up to the saying once you go Asian it's amasian. Can't forget the blonde girl that's going through the Dallas legacy transition of bottle service to real estate. Shes as good at serving as she is selling real estate. These people run the bar like a well-oiled dysfunctional family. They banter with each other louder than the jukebox, remember birthdays you forgot you told them, and have an unspoken code: if you're having a rough night, they'll slide you a free shot and pretend it was a mistake. If you're being a gobshite, they'll roast you into next week without missing a pour.

It was a few days before Thanksgiving, there was a decent crowd in the bar and everyone including the bartender (who's name I now cant remember because I took so long to write this) were all very friendly and helpful. The bar was warm, cozy and decked out in Christmas decor (and cute bathroom wallpaper). Good beer selection, great food (I literally ate the tikka masala twice during our couple day trip) and they were conveniently open on Thanksgiving after the game and a fun shot wheel, which was both fun to partake in and fun to watch others do.
