    Chicken Fried Chicken Breakfast
    Noah C.

Overall a good experience but with some caveats. We came in on a Saturday a few weeks ago in a group of 8. I had placed a reservation a few days before and they were able to seat us quickly. The service and the ambience was very good. Speed of the food came out very fast and they came up and checked on us pretty often and made sure our glasses were full. However the food was a bit questionable for terms of the quality. My friend's chicken fried steaks were overcooked and quite rubbery. Another friend ordered steak to be medium rare and it came out well done. I would have said something but they did not want to bother the server, however I may choose a different place to go to brunch next time.

Everything about our visit to Tops Cafe & Bar ..was absolutely perfect! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, welcoming, and super friendly. The staff made us feel right at home and were attentive without being overbearing. The drinks were spot-on--delicious, well-balanced, and served with a smile. As for the food, it was nothing short of amazing! Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and take pride in what they serve. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great food, a fun atmosphere, and top-notch service. Can't wait to go back!

Tried Tops Cafe & Bar for the first time. We came a bit late so no one was there. The food tasted pretty good but not like "Wow!". Steak was a perfect medium rare and blended well with the chimi churri sauce. The potatoes were also very crispy! The waiter didn't know what sunny side up eggs were so he served us eggs over easy. Overall, I likely will come back when I am in town.

This is a really cool café! Easy to find, LOTS of parking, and great staff that want your RETURN business! The menu is HUGE!! gorgeously prepared with excellent flavors! we spent as much time enjoying our meal as we did looking at all of the dishes coming out of the kitchen! They do know how to plate a dish! This establishment has a liquor license and they have musical acts that perform (didn't have for brunch when I was there, but who knows for the future). My chicken fried steak was a real steak with delicious breading. The gravy was good as were the home fries. The eggs were fresh and prepared perfectly! The pancakes were very tasty! All was at a decent price!

This was a case of don't believe everything on TikTok. Came on a Sunday morning around 10 and the place was pretty empty maybe that should've been a sign. But we're here so let's give the place a try. And maybe they don't get crowded until later. *shrug* Greeted when we walked in which was nice. The ambiance was very "diner -like" and not too modern. They did have plenty of seating -booths, tables and seating at the bar area. Now...let's get down to it. Coffee: 2/10 While you can add your own creamer and sugar, the coffee itself tasted a little "burnt". Note that I'm no coffee aficionado but that's what my tastebuds picked up. Wish they had raw sugar but not sure if that would have impacted the flavor much. We both ordered the griddle favorite which comes with two eggs your way, two meats (note ham is an up charge), Nutella French toast with bananas and cinnamon French toast. Griddle w/nutella and bananas: 5/10 I was automatically disappointed when my eggs came out and the cheese wasn't cooked in with them as requested. I asked for cheddar cheese but as you can see in the photo, that's not cheeses and the cheese is on top of the eggs. The sausage was overcooked and the bacon was ok. The French toast didn't have much flavor so I'm glad I went with Nutella and bananas because there was no flavor. Griddle w/cinnamon French toast: 5/10 Same situation with the eggs but also there was too much cheese. The person I was with, enjoyed French toast, but there was a misunderstanding on the meat order and by the time they received the second meat, they were almost done with their meal. The ham was okay, nothing to rave about.

Stopped in just to purchase two Hot Cakes for myself after having a very long morning with getting my car completely repaired since 8:30ish. Everyone is always so nice here definitely a nice spot to dine in regularly.

My son told me this is a new restaurant. He has gone here a couple times. He wanted me to try it out for breakfast while I was in town. Son had a Veggie Omelette, I had the Biscuits and Gravy. (both were good) the gravy was the stick to your ribs kind. Omelette was fluffy. Restaurant was clean, staff were friendly, food was good. The staff (Jennifer) was talking to some of the customers on a first name basis, meaning they were happy returning customers. Give them a try.

I've been patronizing Tops Café since their original opening. They haven't he changed ownership. The menu has been expanded to include lots of appetizers and an extended bar menu. I almost can't express how I feel about the restaurant now. I do not like at all the change in the aesthetics. The windows have been blacked in and there's an inside bar now that has a black schematic. It's really dark and strange next to what was I really open in Bright diner feel before. So there's a black bar and the original fresh feeling mint green/neutral palette. It's dark and weird. It's almost the lounge feel which is not consistent at all with the food experience. That's sad. The people are nice. And the food is absolutely still consistent. I can see myself turning into a carrier customer but I don't enjoy the dine in experience anymore.

The bread was perfect, crispy and thin but still sturdy enough to scoop everything up without falling apart. We also split one of the toast boards and loved it. Great mix of flavors and just a really fun thing to share. They're also known for some really good favorites like the burrata toast, steak frites, truffle fries, and their charcuterie boards. Their brunch gets a lot of hype too, especially the French toast and eggs Benedict. And their seasonal cocktails are always a hit, really creative and well balanced.
