Chicken Sandwich lunch special...amazing!
Kurt V.

I am learning that it does not matter which Cafe Pacific you go to, you are in for a treat! I had some business in the area and my acquaintance suggested we go to lunch and so I tried this location for the first time. Amazing experience all the way around! The ambiance was as classy as any of the Cafe Pacific locations I have been to. As I have grown to expect (and respect!) the service was amazing! Now let's talk about the food! Usually I order the Prime Rib Sandwich here, but today they had a Fried Chicken Sandwich lunch special. Probably the best chicken sandwich I have ever had! I will be back, and ironically, I will be back to this location even though I had never come to it before, it is the closest location for me! Review#2139

Omg I am in love again! Yeah, I know I say this all the time lol. This is such an amazing restaurant. As soon as you walk in, you can absorb the bougieness and it's quite divine. The waiter was very personable and informative about the menu and specials. Cafe Pacific gives me a Capitol Grill vibe but with a better twist! The food was outstanding. Every bite kept me listing for more & more. The drink pours are also generous & that matters when you are a drink connoisseur like myself. This restaurant is #BarbieApproved

Cold martini !!

I travel to Dallas often and make Cafe Pacific a regular stop. I enjoy to start off with a very cold martini and relax while looking at their menu offerings. My recent trip I started with Escargot that was delicious. I rudely picked up the empty tray after I chomped on the appetizer and poured the leftover sauce on my bread to finish. With a medium rare salmon the entree was great. My only small problem was the side spinach was cold. Make sure you ask for Lucas as your waiter.

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day experience at Cafe Pacific! This was our first visit and open to visiting again. It's a smaller establishment, so reservations are highly recommended! The service was very solid. Attentive enough, but gave us space also. The ambiance is cozy, but nice and romantic. The food was good, very fresh, and presented very well. We tried the spinach dip, tortilla soup, herb crusted sea bass, and red snapper. The sea bass and red snapper were both very tasty. The spinach dip and tortilla soup were just ok. I had very minor issues with some aspects i.e my baked potato was a bit undercooked, so it wasn't soft & fluffy as a baked potato should be. Overall, we would definitely give Cafe Pacific another try.

The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. The services provided by the professional management and staff are the main reasons that we keep coming back. The old world elegance is a rare thing, and we value their focus to make sure that everything about the dining experience is excellent. I highly recomend Café Pacific!

Amazing food and amazing service. Café Pacific never disappoints, and it is such a special, elevated dining experience. The staff there are so attentive and know everyone by name. I'm sure their steaks are good, but they always have so many great seafood items that we have never tried them. They also make great cocktails and have an exceptional wine list.

...Every last family occasion? Right here. We made a reservation via OpenTable. If running early, the bar has got you for some sweet potato sticks, cocktail, tea or cappuccino. The venue has been a mainstay in the HP area for a minute. It has its regulars. Fine dining that's the next level experience. Maître d' and servers are personable and warm. Venue is intimate. There's a movie theater and designer stores within the plaza- for a pre-post meal promenade/adventure. Valet available and works for tips. Enjoy!

I don't think it's socially acceptable to write a short story or novel on this. Annalise was the best server I think I have had while dining out. Was referred to the restaurant by a client while here on business. The food was phenomenal. You need to get the pepper steak. The sauce, incredible. There isn't one negative thing about this restaurant. 10/10 would recommend.

I took my king to a fine dining place we have not tried before: Café Pacific. It is small inside, so booking reservations was the right move for us. Upon entering, we were seated to the left in a more closed off, intimate area which was nice considering we were for a birthday dinner. The bread and butter came, and it was really good but perhaps not quite as good as other competitors (i.e. Ocean Prime). We ordered some drinks (Old Fashioned and Paper Plane), and both were very strong yet simple and tasty. Next was the appetizer: spinach and artichoke dip. As someone who is not the biggest artichoke fan, let me say that this was amazing!!! The artichokes were diced very well, which is normally an issue when eating this. Not this time, though! It is perfect for sharing. You may need more of the bread-like crisps that come with it though as the portion size is not small. I ordered the Asian Chilean sea bass, while he got the salmon. I did not try his salmon, but he did try my sea bass which we both agreed was nothing short of incredible! The fish itself was cooked perfectly, and the crispiness on the outside of it was absolutely divine. The soy sauce was not too salty, and the spinach soaked it up which elevated the whole dish. I also thought the jasmine rice was great and cooked perfectly. This is one of the higher-priced seafood dishes but for good reason! Also, the asparagus fritti, which was fried with grated parmesan, was wonderful with a great creamy garlic butter sauce of some sort! On the other hand, my boyfriend was not as impressed with his salmon dish. He said it was simply grilled and was tasty but could have used more flavor (perhaps a sauce or something to help elevate the smoked salmon flavor). I don't think he will order that again. I ordered another drink (Vesper), but unfortunately I did not like it at all. With a combination of gin, vodka, and wine, it tasted like Dawn dish soap. That is not an exaggeration. I didn't send it back because I don't like to do that, so I drank it and kept quiet. For dessert, they gave us their signature dessert with ice cream, nuts, house-made chocolate sauce, and some kind of caramel-almond crisp. It was different yet delicious! It reminded me a lot of fried ice cream which I haven't had in a very long time. Overall, I do feel that for a little over $200 for everything, the food was great but not quite $200 worthy (maybe more like $140). Would I come back? Well, there are a lot of fine-dining competitors where I know I'm going to get exactly what I want and will easily pay for it. Café Pacific just needs a bit more flavor with their food. I would return but not for a long time.

I came here for a birthday dinner. The staff was super friendly and was very attentive and answered all of our questions on their very large menu selection. We ordered a bottle of wine for the table. It was very tasty. For my entree, I ordered salmon that came with sautéed spinach and truffle fries. It was all very good and nice portion sizes. We also shared a dessert, which was the Pecan ball. It was basically ice cream, dipped in chocolate, rolled in pecans. Even though it was a simple dessert, it was tasty. My only complaint was that you could tell that this restaurant has been around for years, since 1980. The seating is very close together. It was very challenging to get in and out of our seats without hitting the seats behind us. Thankfully, everyone was very friendly and didn't seem to mind the tightness. They also offer complimentary valet parking and if you choose to self park, the parking lot is just a few yards away and there is decent parking, but it is in a shopping center with other businesses so I would definitely recommend taking advantage of the valet parking. This is definitely a nice restaurant to go to for a special occasion or if you want to treat yourself.

Helped a friend celebrate her birthday here. I arrived a bit late and the hostesses had a difficult time locating my party by name. Thankfully, the restaurant is small and I was able to find them. Our server Walter was very entertaining and helped to make the night memorable. I ordered a lemon drop and a redfish dish that didn't look like much but was really flavorful! Crab Louie salad was ordered for the table and it too didn't look like much but blessed my tastebuds! The staff were friendly, drinks strong and food delicious and I highly recommend giving them a try.

Breathtaking Ambiance. Grande Dame of Highland Park Village. A magnificent seafood restaurant. Impeccabile Service. Welcoming no matter whether I'm wearing my high, French, kitten or Cuban heels. Memorable Tastes. Classically prepared dishes. Favorites include "Calamari" and "Sole Meunière". Cherish Memories. Through the years of birthday brunches, Friday luncheons, and farewell dinners. CHEERS!

The wasabi one was our favorite. You must order the crab cake! My husband got the ribeye rare and said it was the best steak he has had, and he eats a ton of steak. I got their off menu item of carne asada tacos. The meat was sooooo tender. They don't use flank steak they use a tenderloin and it just melts. The mushrooms were Devine. Glad I ordered the carne asada. The adult Mac and cheese was good but just good. Brussels sprouts were good (not the best I have had) but I think I was also just so full by this point. I loved seeing the steaks and oysters beautifully displayed, and the open kitchen was such a nice touch -- watching the chefs in action added to the whole experience. Our waiter was phenomenal -- super accommodating, attentive, and made us feel like VIPs all night. We shared the cowboy steak ($72) sliced for two and WOW... perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every bite was a moment. The sides to choose from ranged between $16-$18 We ordered the creamed spinach and it was rich and delicious. The wedge salad was fresh and satisfying. The corn brûlée? A crowd favorite -- everyone at the table was obsessed! The only miss for us was the mac and cheese -- good texture, but it didn't leave a lasting flavor impression. What truly made the night special was the energy -- the experience felt personal, warm, and inviting, making it the perfect place to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday. Wicked Butcher didn't just serve a meal... they created a memory. 10/10 would recommend for celebrations, date nights, or when you just want to feel fancy and fed.

Food - 4 Service - 3…read more Ambiance -4 Went on a Tuesday night while visiting from out of town and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was practically empty, so we sat in the bar/lounge area. The host and other staff were friendly. Our waiter came off a little smug at first and barely cracked a smile. He honestly seemed a bit annoyed that he had to wait on us, which felt very unfriendly. My friend managed to get him to loosen up a bit as the night went on though, so maybe that's just his personality. To his credit, he was very informative when it came to the main course options. The lighting was dim and intimate. Ambiance was simple and modern. I ordered the sea bass and my friend ordered the beef Wellington. Honestly, after tasting my fish, he ended up enjoying my sea bass more than his own dish. The sea bass was like butter, just as the waiter described it. If fish could fall off the bone, this one would have. It came with rice, cashews, and a ginger miso sauce. The cashews added a really nice crunch and texture and the flavors worked really well together. I thoroughly enjoyed it as b the only downside was the portion size. Like a lot of nicer restaurants, you get one small piece of fish... about the size of my pinky finger. My friend's beef Wellington, on the other hand, was just okay. He didn't say it was bad, but it definitely didn't stand out, especially compared to the sea bass. We also ordered potatoes as a side and the white truffle Caesar salad. The salad was good and the truffle flavor wasn't overpowering, which I appreciated. The potatoes were solid too and paired well with the meal. Dessert, unfortunately, was not it! We ordered the Wicked Sundae. Our waiter had actually recommended the banana pudding or the chocolate tart, but we decided to try something else. We probably should've taken his advice. The sundae tasted mostly like ice cream and was missing the main part of the dish -- the brownie. Nothing to run home about, and it also happened to be the most expensive dessert on the menu. Definitely not worth it.

Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

In the front room only 3 tables were occupied. I pointed out the booth and she said that's for party of 6. However, we could have the 1/2 table/booth. Made absolutely no sense because that was for a party of 6 as well. I made this comment & she just stared at me without saying a word. I didn't want to seem difficult and took the table as she just walked away. Kev was confused as we were. No good communication skills. It was an awkward encounter. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & never was whole time there. Kev wasn't sure why she didn't move us a requested & was puzzled himself. However i apologized to him & explained I wasn't trying to be difficult, but prefer booth sitting and most times we will wait for one. We left at 1:45p and restaurant was no busier than when we arrived. Reservation/Booth or not! I guess saying all of this, your front staff need to have more people skills when dealing with your customers. They are the face and first point of contact. Again Kev was amazing & food was outstanding!

Pricey poisoning nightmare!…read more What was supposed to be a fancy celebratory night out ($725 with tip) at Drake's for my MIL's birthday ended with one of our family members in the ER and another 2 attached to the toilet (including my 72 MIL). This was roughly 6 hours after consuming seafood from this establishment. The frustrating part is we actually sent one of the 2 dishes back reporting to staff it had a strange odor/taste and was told we weren't familiar with lobster taste (being from NY this is untrue). My MIL was too embarrassed to send hers back so she ate her entire plate and my husband had about 1/4 of his before exchanging it for an alternate dish. As an emergency service provider I fully understand medical incidents like this can happen anywhere, but what prompted this review was way the situation was handled following my reporting. After reporting the incident to management we were met with what felt like an aggressive line of questioning about the members of our medical team and related details. I was told the incident would be escalated to upper management and the team would reach back out, but this never happened, even after a follow-up email. So, it's safe to say after spending a significant amount of money on what was supposed to be a special evening, the entire experience left a very bad taste in our mouths. At the very least, I would have expected some sort of gesture of goodwill or attempt to make the situation right -- even something as simple as a gift card or invitation to return for a better experience. Unfortunately, that never happened. Based on this experience, I would not choose to return and cannot recommend Drake's to others.
