What a great spot! I love that they have some familiar options with some items that are difficult to find elsewhere in the area-something for everybody! There's a long wait, but it's worth it! The food was all fresh and tasty. I'll definitely make the drive from Houston to visit this spot again. My only qualm is that their waitlist system is a bit misleading. It'll tell you you're a certain spot in line, and then bump you. Turns out that's because certain people who joined the waitlist haven't actually checked in.

5 stars all around. I got a half portion of the regular/classic poutine and a raspberry cream cheese cookie. Both were awesome. The poutine was flavorful and the portion size was enough to make me full. The service was great, food came out very quickly and was hot & fresh.

The search is over! I've been looking for the best Chicken Fried Steak in Dallas, and I think Maple Leaf Diner has everyone beat. The batter is seasoned perfectly and stays crispy without falling apart--a rare find. My fiancé and I also shared a half-order of the poutine; it was delicious, addictive, and the ideal size for two people to split. The service is exactly what you want from a diner: friendly, attentive, and quick. If you're craving comfort food, this is the spot.

It's been a while since I reviewed Maple Leaf Diner. Since my last review, the COVID pandemic is over so this review focuses on Maple Leaf Diner's current interior. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - There is a new remodeled interior (since my last review). Maple Leaf Diner is still in the same location, but the COVID friendly walls have been replaced by traditional booths and seating. There's more decoration on the walls too - especially if you walk down the hall to use the bathroom. Here you can read all the magazine articles that have written about Maple Leaf Diner. 1 Star. Service - Tip: Get in line using the Yelp App. Maple Leaf Diner is extremely popular on weekends, and if you don't get in line, you'll have to wait from 1 - 2 hours. Once you're in, you're greeted with smiles and attentive servers. 1 Star. Food - Maple Leaf Diner is known for its Canadian owners and pure Maple Leaf syrup. So if season pumpkin pancakes are on the menu, ORDER THEM. I did, and I was rewarded with a soft, fluffy stack of thick pancakes with a hint of cinnamon. I was given two small bowls of maple syrup, and I used them both. I also ordered the poutine. Just like in Canada, the poutine had fresh, hot fries smothered in brown gravy and cheese curds. It may sound weird, but it tastes delicious. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes, because there's nothing like Maple Leaf Diner. It's true, I could visit another pancake house and enjoy their pancakes, but there's no mistaking the Canadian charm and delicious food of the Maple Leaf Diner. See you next weekend! 1 Star.

My boyfriend and I came here after my 10k race. We waited for 45 min (heads up, you can get in line virtually in Yelp) before we were seated. Love the atmosphere and the vibe of the place :) We saw how big the portion was, so we ordered 2 dish to split. i especially love the cream puff on top of the chicken, bacon and waffles, other than that, to me, it is kind of standard - nothing too outstanding. But the poutine *mm* - it was my first ever poutine. Heard so much about it but never had it. Better than expected and will definitely order again!!! Anyways, the dish portion is huge. Sharing is the best decision we made.

The ambience is best described as diner diner style (busy & bustling.) We were say immediately upon entering the restaurant and greeted almost within seconds by our server after sitting at the table. I was feeling breakfast and decided to go with something including pancakes. I loved the consistency, I consider myself a pancake conoseur and their pancakes hit the spot. Instead of eggs, I substituted for their breakfast potatoes which came out hot and crispy . I was even more pleased to know they offered turkey sausage as there are some restaurants that only have pork and beef options. So that game a star in my book. Overall, I'd say the meal was very filling, delicious and freshly cooked. Our server was very attentive and kept not only our water cups filled but continued to check on us throughout our time there. Great choice to stop here, as we were fresh off the airplane, coming from the airport and starving !! Way to go Maple Leaf Diner

Generous portions and a great variety of foods to choose from. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive. The pumpkin pancakes were my favorite. I'd definitely come back to try more items on the menu!

The food was great, the waiter was really kind. The place is comfortable and great. Very busy on a Saturday morning but we still only had to wait 15 minutes so they are hustling those tables! Only thing I can say to improve was that the inside was a bit confusing. Everyone was waiting around and no one was out front. While we were seated, a couple was wondering through the inside unsure on where to go. Other than that it was SO good! They are totally busy but worth the wait.

Such a fun experience! We were meeting 2 of our adult children in Dallas for a weekend together. This restaurant just happened to be close to where we were staying. None of us have been to Canada so it was really nice to enjoy a new dining experience together. There was quite a long wait so we were thankful to have gotten on the waitlist early (about 40 minutes before we arrived). The staff were super friendly and our server was very friendly. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. The Canadian Rueben was so good. I absolutely loved the Canadian Classic Poutine. The rest of our group had various food like blueberry pancakes, chicken strips, chicken fried chicken, and an omelet. We really wanted to try something from the bakery part, but we were stuffed. Hopefully we can visit again sometime.

Family and I wanted to try out a new brunch spot and happy we did. Full blown Canadian decor all over, with plenty of seating. Menu is massive, so many options. I got an omelette and my wife got chicken bacon and waffles, which came with cream puffs on top. The omelette was solid but the house potatoes on the side stole the show. Seasoned so well with some sort of Cajun/seasoning salt, they were fantastic. Coffee was solid and service was great. Will definitely be coming back.

You guys the hype is real. Amazing service and great food at reasonable price. It's a total diner and I highly recommend you guys adding this to your list. The vibe is total old school diner and the service is impeccable! I cannot wait to return. The poutine was great and perfectly salty. The pancakes are fluffy and the waffles were perfect. My friends got cotton candy mimosa and enjoyed every drop. Add this place to your rotation!

Henry checked on us often, was super patient, and just genuinely kind. Bernie kept our water full and was always nearby making sure we were good without hovering. They made the whole night feel easy and fun. The food was just as good. We started with the mushroom fondue, creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. The bread was perfect, crispy and thin but still sturdy enough to scoop everything up without falling apart. We also split one of the toast boards and loved it. Great mix of flavors and just a really fun thing to share. They're also known for some really good favorites like the burrata toast, steak frites, truffle fries, and their charcuterie boards. Their brunch gets a lot of hype too, especially the French toast and eggs Benedict. And their seasonal cocktails are always a hit, really creative and well balanced. Bathrooms were clean, always a plus. Only tiny note, I wish there were more purse or coat hooks, every place needs those. Overall, we had such a great time. The service really stood out and the food totally delivered. Definitely one of those spots you leave already planning your next visit.

I had booked a reservation on Resy and we were seated immediately in a small, intimate booth. Initially, it was not terribly loud, but as the evening progressed and several large parties were seated nearby; the sound of the music was completely drowned out. I think more noise abatement measures could be taken to absorb some of the obtrusive loudness we were getting. For a starter, we ordered the Calamari. It was fried perfectly and was great, but the Thai Sticky sauce was too sweet and the consistency of the sauce was thin. It needed something to make it more viscous, and a secondary sauce, like a marinara or even an aioli would've been nice to balance out the sweetness of the Thai sauce. For an entree, I ordered the Maple- Ginger Salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and itself was delicious, but the sauce was too sweet and rich. The fired rice that accompanied my meal was over-the-top salty. It was almost going into "too much" territory. For desert we split the Passion Fruit Ice Cream Pie. This was actually very good and not overly sweet. It was my favorite item from my meal. Overall Renny's truly employs a lot of care and attention to the food, but some of the items crossed a line into "too much" territory. Be it sweetness or saltiness, the kitchen could exercise a bit of restraint to let the flavors of the food shine.

Another woman, by herself (gasp!) fork and knifing a cheeseburger with a martini at the bar. I quickly thought this must be my own reflection in a mirror but nope! There she was and I suddenly liked HH even more than I already had. I stopped in after a blood donation to treat myself to lunch instead of my usual bike ride, as I'd had this spot bookmarked for a little bit and the Red Cross advises against drinking alcohol or exercising post donation which induces the same type of temptation as a do not touch sign. On this occasion I chose to drive right to a day drink!
