Tonight my server, Ary, was very warm, attentive, and knew the menu very well, and offered me excellent recommendations. The happy hour Caesar salad was really great, I think the croutons were made from ciabatta, I couldn't really tell, but they were so delicious. Then I had the chicken Parm and the butterscotch cake, both her recommendations. And I can't believe it is so much food for the amount I paid, I'm going to have some amazing leftovers later. I will definitely be returning, I've had the pizza before, and it is one of the best ever, and I keep hearing about the chicken pot pie, but I haven't tried it yet. read more

Finally had the opportunity to try this restaurant, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the rotisserie chicken with a double serving of Brussels sprouts, and both were flavorful and well prepared. I was initially looking forward to substituting the mashed potatoes for the potato wedges, but I learned that the wedges are no longer offered. Even so, our waitress was gracious enough to let me sample the mashed potatoes, and they were absolutely delicious. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and impeccably maintained, making for a very enjoyable dining experience. Overall, I had a great visit and look forward to returning soon to try the pizza. read more

We came here yesterday for my nephew's birthday lunch after another activity. We ordered two pizzas, the rotisserie chicken plate, cheese bread for an appetizer, and the steak frites. Our server was fantastic -- friendly and attentive. The two pizzas were solid, about 8/10 on taste. I ordered mine with chicken, artichokes, and roasted peppers. About 45 minutes after ordering (with only three tables occupied in the whole place), the manager came out to say they were out of artichokes and asked if I wanted a substitute. When my pizza finally arrived, it didn't have chicken, had very few peppers, and just a sprinkle of basil. Topping quantity was disappointing, though the flavor was about an 8.5/10. The rotisserie chicken plate was a letdown -- dry chicken, odd-tasting gravy, and mashed potatoes around a 6.5/10. The steak frites were better at 8/10, with fries that were an easy 9/10, but definitely not worth the $35 price tag. A friend and I checked out Doughbirds a few days ago. The space is well maintained and there is plenty of parking (although it is a little tight in the lot). The staff were very friendly. We were there around 12 on a Saturday and there were plenty of open seats so we did not have a wait. We got the parm truffle fries which were very tasty, although were a little oily near the bottom of the bowl. We then got the pizza and salad. The staff were very nice and split the salad into two bowls without us having to ask. The pizza crust is something I will dream about! The only struggle with the pizza is it got pretty soggy towards the middle of the pie. Very tasty, but hard to pick up. Overall this is a space everyone should explore. read more

The pizza we ordered originally came with prosciutto but we switched for pepp. All of the flavors were perfectly balanced the crust had a great flavor also. This place was a good 4+ stars at first, but we found a hair in our food. The atmosphere is cheery and elegant. It felt very nice but not stuffy. The chicken sandwich was good overall, but didn't really have anything special going on. I wish I had a sauce or Nashville seasoning option. The copy cane sauce was good and is exactly what you think it is. Fries were perfect shoestring type. Then there was the pot pie. It came out golden and crispy. You crack the crust and steam is pouring out. Very hot so be careful. After a few bites, that's when we found the hair. I don't like gross pictures so we didn't capture it. As a chef, I know these things happen. We are human after all. I assured my wife that with the dish being so hot, there was no danger, just an ick factor. We didn't want to ruin a good lunch vibe and didn't want to get into it with the staff so we just asked for a Togo box. Our waitress was so nice we wanted to give her a full tip. Kept things moving at the right pace and she was very pleasant We sat on the patio and while it was nice setting, the furniture and umbrellas are just wrong. The chairs don't scoot. You cannot move them easily. And the umbrella stands take too much room. They should have left the cover that was there when it was Breadwinners. We ordered the cauliflower steak, bbq chicken pizza (Detroit style) and chicken tenders. Our waitress, Victoria, was very nice and helpful and it was because of her recommendation that we ordered the chicken tenders. The food was all very good and tasty. The chicken tenders were amazing! However, I ordered Mac and cheese instead of coleslaw and ranch instead of cane's sauce but did not get either one of those changes when my meal came out. We heard the Doughbird had Detroit style pizza so I went to check it out. I ordered it to go from the menu and sat at the bar to wait. 20 minutes later the hostess brought me what I thought was a small box with pizza inside. I called my wife to turn on the oven and that I was on my way. 20 minutes later I arrived home and my wife said that it sure is a small box for pizza. In fact, there were 4 thick crust pizza slices inside and we immediately placed them in the oven for a re heat. The Pizza was a strong 5 in my book. The dough was light a fluffy and the toppings were delicious ( pepperoni and sausage). Our next step is to have a restaurant experience with our pizza. Doughbird turned out to be a pleasant surprise. My family and I were in the area after doing some shopping at Northpark and decided to pop in to try them out. We decided to order family style and opted for the black truffle mushroom pizza, pepperoni pizza, mozzarella sticks, truffle cheese bread sticks, and chicken avacado salad. The service was really good. We really appreciated the high energy of our waiters and their attentiveness. New spot located on Lovers Lane. We were not able to get a reservation but were able to order online during the soft opening. We did curbside pickup, which took about 6 minutes once we said that we had arrived. The young man that brought the food out was so kind, and friendly. The food smelled just as good as it tasted. We opted for the Chicken Parmesan with black truffle orzo, kids chicken tenders with fries, aviator pizza and a side of Brussels sprouts. EVERYTHING was a 10/10. Fantastic spot! Waitresses name was Seriyon. She was the kindest person, a hard worker and an exceptional server! This young lady deserves a promotion and a raise. In fact, the entire staff was top notch. A man, who I presume would be the manager, overheard me telling my family that we must hurry as they were about to close. He came and told us not to worry to take our time. And the cooks in the kitchen were supportive of my nine year old when she really wanted a dessert and it was already past closing. The covered it, without worry! Service is what makes a place, but the ambiance and food are important as well. The environment was calm and comforting. And the food was spectacular also!
