We came here yesterday for my nephew's birthday lunch after another activity. We ordered two pizzas, the rotisserie chicken plate, cheese bread for an appetizer, and the steak frites. Our server was fantastic -- friendly and attentive. The two pizzas were solid, about 8/10 on taste. I ordered mine with chicken, artichokes, and roasted peppers. About 45 minutes after ordering (with only three tables occupied in the whole place), the manager came out to say they were out of artichokes and asked if I wanted a substitute. When my pizza finally arrived, it didn't have chicken, had very few peppers, and just a sprinkle of basil. Topping quantity was disappointing, though the flavor was about an 8.5/10. The rotisserie chicken plate was a letdown -- dry chicken, odd-tasting gravy, and mashed potatoes around a 6.5/10. The steak frites were better at 8/10, with fries that were an easy 9/10, but definitely not worth the $35 price tag. Bottom line: I'd come back for the pizzas and the cheese bread, but nothing else.

A friend and I checked out Doughbirds a few days ago. The space is well maintained and there is plenty of parking (although it is a little tight in the lot). The staff were very friendly. We were there around 12 on a Saturday and there were plenty of open seats so we did not have a wait. We got the parm truffle fries which were very tasty, although were a little oily near the bottom of the bowl. We then got the pizza and salad. The staff were very nice and split the salad into two bowls without us having to ask. The pizza crust is something I will dream about! The only struggle with the pizza is it got pretty soggy towards the middle of the pie. Very tasty, but hard to pick up. Overall this is a space everyone should explore.

Came here for lunch because of a delayed flight. Yelped this place and it was a good thing I did. I only had room for the pot pie although their featured salad sounded really good. The person who took my order was the best. Pleasant, fast, and just had a good vibe. I would definitely be back to try the rest if the items on their menu.

The staff was wonderful, I was seated right away and my server was very kind and attentive. The atmosphere feels very upscale but it's casual enough to go spontaneously. Everything that we tried was fantastic - my favorite being the charred brussel sprouts, they are crispy, sweet and carmelized with the perfect balance of saltiness. The onions gave an onion ring flavor, lots of flavor. The pizza we ordered originally came with prosciutto but we switched for pepp. All of the flavors were perfectly balanced the crust had a great flavor also. My one complaint was that the toppings felt very centered, leaving too much space for the crust.

I have eaten here a few times before and already left a five star review on Google, so I don't think they will let me leave another one. Tonight my server, Ary, was very warm, attentive, and knew the menu very well, and offered me excellent recommendations. The happy hour Caesar salad was really great, I think the croutons were made from ciabatta, I couldn't really tell, but they were so delicious. Then I had the chicken Parm and the butterscotch cake, both her recommendations. And I can't believe it is so much food for the amount I paid, I'm going to have some amazing leftovers later. I will definitely be returning, I've had the pizza before, and it is one of the best ever, and I keep hearing about the chicken pot pie, but I haven't tried it yet.

I wanted to love them. Burnt pizza and average cheese sticks delivered for $51.00. Yeah... no.

Really a solid 4.5 rating but I'm feeling generous! This place is pretty pricey! Hands down the best lemon meringue pie I've ever had in my life!!! The blackberry compote wasn't too sweet- complimented the lemon nicely! Annnnndddd I don't even eat meringue! I'll be back for more! This place is pretty pricey! I think everyone else enjoys this spot as well. Expect about a 10 minute wait on a Friday afternoon. Our waitress was kind and made herself available for refills! This place is pretty pricey! $18 for 4 chicken strips, fries, and about 1/4 cup of coleslaw. Wow. No toast? Lol. The chicken was tasty but nothing overly special about it. The star of the show was the truffle mushroom Detroit style pizza! Omg my Lord! Just get this! You won't miss the meat....talking to my carnivores! It'll run you around $22. Super hungry? One could easily eat it all or you can be "cute" and share it. You bet your bottom dollar, I'll be back!

This place was a good 4+ stars at first, but we found a hair in our food. The atmosphere is cheery and elegant. It felt very nice but not stuffy. The staff was wonderful and attentive, but not over bearing. We ordered the truffle cheese bread, chicken pot pie, and chicken sandwich. The pot pie is baked fresh to order so it took about 20 minutes to arrive. They came out with the app after about 10 minutes to space out the wait time a bit, pro move on the restaurant. The cheesy bread was OMG! So crispy and fragrant, we will be back for the Detroit pizza as it was a similar style to that preparation. The chicken sandwich was good overall, but didn't really have anything special going on. I wish I had a sauce or Nashville seasoning option. The copy cane sauce was good and is exactly what you think it is. Fries were perfect shoestring type. Then there was the pot pie. It came out golden and crispy. You crack the crust and steam is pouring out. Very hot so be careful. After a few bites, that's when we found the hair. I don't like gross pictures so we didn't capture it. As a chef, I know these things happen. We are human after all. I assured my wife that with the dish being so hot, there was no danger, just an ick factor. We didn't want to ruin a good lunch vibe and didn't want to get into it with the staff so we just asked for a Togo box. Our waitress was so nice we wanted to give her a full tip. We might be back after my wife gets over her feelings. I expect this was a one off and won't hold a grudge, that is if my wife agrees to go back.

First time trying this place and i'll be back for sure!! Everything was great, the vibe, drinks, food and the service. Everything our server recommended was delicious. For apps we ordered the Lebanese Hummus with vegetables, Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Cast Iron Shishito Peppers and everything was just great. I personally liked Brussels sprouts and Hummus. For mains we ordered hand stretched Spicy Hawaiian, Detroit style Aviator, Crispy Chicken Parmesan and Chicken tenders with Copy Cone sauce. I liked the Detroit style aviator and chicken tenders. Chicken was really tender and juicy and paired well with the coleslaw and the copy cone sauce. For desserts we got the Brookie which was good too. Overall it will a great experience and I hight recommend this place.

The deviled eggs, dragon…read moreroll, and pigs in a blanket were all tasty, and that's honestly the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, everything else was a struggle from the moment we walked in. We didn't have reservations, but eventually found seats at the bar. Given how busy the place was, we figured the bar would mean faster, more attentive service. We were very wrong. We ordered two beers, a non-alcoholic drink, and three appetizers. The drinks arrived, and the appetizers followed about 10 minutes later -- fine so far. But there were no utensils. We had to ask for them, and we asked for plates as well, which never came. The empty dishes from our appetizers sat in front of us for a solid hour with no one clearing them. The bartender who took our order never once checked on us. With 3-4 people working behind the bar, only one server approached us during the entire 40-minute wait between appetizers and dinner to ask if we needed anything. The bartender told us twice that our food was "coming out shortly" -- and still, 40 minutes passed. When dinner finally arrived, my order was wrong. I ordered the Mongolian Short Rib, listed clearly under the Entree section of the menu. The bartender claimed I had ordered off a "happy hour" menu -- one I never saw or was told about -- and had swapped it for BBQ Pork Ribs without saying a word. Knowing a replacement could take another hour, my friend swapped plates with me and took the ribs. He had ordered the steak frites, which, for a rare steak, should have taken no more than 5-6 minutes to prepare. The third entree, fish and chips, was just okay -- a bit soggy and not particularly fresh. To top it all off, after everything we dealt with, the bartender never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. The food has potential, but the service was inattentive, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable for a busy restaurant that should know better.

This is not a problem for those who need to bring in a wheelchair, rollater, walker, or stroller as they are impeccablely supportive, as well as very accommodating. On busy days that we have decided to dine in at this establishment, it has never been a problem to manipulate my varied tools throughout the restaurant. Parking sometimes can be a little tight but don't let that worry you because people are always coming and going. For details regarding our most recent meal, please see the following: Appetizer: We order the Deviled Eggs. The eggs were seasoned appropriately and not too salty. Moreover, the eggs were not over cooked and the yolks we nicely whipped. Entry: I order the chicken and waffles while my husband ordered the chicken fried steak. Both were delicious. The chicken was moist and not dry whist the waffle was fluffy with little crispy edges. It was a textural wonderland. I personally do not like syrup or other toppings on my waffles (weird I know) however my husband does and he said the syrup was good. Consequently, when I eat waffles, texture and flavor really matter to me. It was slightly sweet and paired nicely with the seasoned chicken. Additionally, the chicken fried steak melted on our tongues like butter. The meat was not over cooked, tender and the steak cut smoothly on our knives. The umami flavor of the steak and the robust yet well rounded seasoning of the breading paired nicely with the buttery mashed potatoes and the white gravy that accompanied the meal. We have enjoyed eating at this restaurant many times. I have never had overcooked or undercooked chicken. Each time, I am greeted with a kind smile and service is quick especially on busy times. Needless to say that I recommend this restaurant. Yet since this is a review, I will say it. I recommend this restaurant. Happy Eating. Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

Parking is not easy downtown so this played a huge factor in figuring where, out of the dozens of brunch places, to eat. Definitely a bit of a walk to get accommodated at the actual restaurant so valet seemed the most reasonably enticing for parking solutions. Well, I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have paid for a thing here. They don't deserve our money and I HATE they got a cent from me. I'm livid. I hate this place W I L L N E V E R B E B A C K

Bro, plumbing is confusing). Naturally, I had to ask AI where to get the absolute best fried chicken in Dallas, and it sent me here. Ordering online was super easy, though I wished the menu had pictures because I like to see what I'm getting. Exactly 20 minutes later, I got the text that it was ready. The parking lot is tiny. If you drive a big truck, be prepared to maneuver like a pro if it's packed. Inside was busy, but there was zero heavy grease smell lingering in the air. You could easily grab lunch here and go about your day without smelling like a literal fryer. Plus, the crowd was surprisingly chill. Nobody gave off that chaotic, sketch energy you get at a KFC or Wingstop where you feel like you have to lock your truck doors three times just to walk inside safely. It's a really calm environment, which is awesome if you hate loud crowds. Pickup took less than 5 minutes. After a 15-minute drive home, the chicken was still loud-crunchy and insanely crispy. Puts fast-food chains to absolute shame. Fair warning: my first drumstick was a massive sodium bomb that almost made me rage quit and leave a two star review. But I was so hungry, so a quick drink later, piece number two and on were absolute perfection: juicy, meaty, and flawlessly seasoned. So that first piece of chicken just was coated in not-fully-mixed-well seasoning batter or something like that. I am officially obsessed. Come September when bulking season hits, I'm literally going to live here.
