I came in today for brunch with my dad. It was quiet when we arrived but started filling up. I really don't like when the restaurant is empty and they seat you right next to the only other people there. The menu had a lot of different things that sounded delicious but it was a bit overwhelming. They have a ghost kitchen that operates there as well so you get a full menu for both places. We ordered the burrata appetizer and hangover brunch pizza from the social pie menu. The burrata was tasty but would be better with crusty bread. They also only give 3 crackers for a large ball of burrata which isn't nearly enough. The hangover pizza has chili oil, mozzarella, smoked brisket, bacon, pickled jalapeños, sunny side egg and avocado. I didn't see or taste much of any chili oil, a drizzle on top at the end would be nice. I think a drizzle of hot honey on top would be really nice as well. I also didn't get much jalapeño. A bit more would be nice. From the maple landing menu my dad ordered the smoked turkey and avocado toast. He asked for the egg on the side but it did not come that way. It was interesting, basically an open-faced sandwich, but there was too much going on, too big a pile of food. He didnt eat much of it. He said the potatoes it came with were too salty and the bread was too thick. He said the turkey was good though. Will definitely have to go back and try more things. The brisket is a little thicker than I'm used to having from the Midwest. There's an overwhelming smoke flavor almost an ashy taste. Thank goodness it came with sauce. Haven't eaten barbecue across the country while in business. This barbecue will stand out further deep as you smoked flavor. Not sure if they're using mesquite or hardwood or possibly a blend but next time I'll get the ribs just to be sure. read more

On my way to Love Field and had an extra hour. Used my Yelp friends do find a good burger place that was close and good. Well....you surely didn't let me down this time There's two restaurants next to each other so pretty convenient. Walked right in and loved the interior. It's very comfortable and even though it's a BBQ place mostly it seems like a down home bar that's upscale. I was able to order pretty quickly and chose the Patty melt and substituted a side salad for anything fried. Then added a side of their brussel sprouts. Very impressed with the side salad. The lettuce was fresh and great ingredients. OMG the Brussels were soooooo good. Just a bit of a bite but sweet too. Just the right touch. Then comes the patty melt. That burger was huge and very obviously handmade and fresh. Oozing with juices and in between two wonderful pieces of looked like rye bread. That burger was out of this world good. Really!!!! The flavors just popped everytime I took a bite. Of course the carmelized onions and Swiss cheese just made it that much better. Outdoor dining is available on a covered patio when the weather is nice and the party room has pool tables and games available. First let me say Trisha was a great server, very warm and inviting! Ok on to the food, my Fiance and I both ordered burgers. He got the chili burger with homemade potato chips and I got the avocado bacon burger with home style fried. Trisha asked if we wanted pink or no pink and we both chose no pink. I even said no mooing very well done! His came out nicely, mine came out bubble gum pink. Disappointing. Trisha handled it by having a new burger made. It was still pink but much more eatable.
