What a fun and funky experience. Came with the fam for a dinner and we had a lovely time. We started with the deviled eggs and the venison tartare. The tartare was weak seasoned and not overly gamey. The eggs were fun but pretty average - missing some of the creaminess I look for in an egg. I ordered the elote ravioli- the waitress warned me three times it was vegetarian- delicious!! Wellll..... I went out of my way to come back here and now I wish I hadn't. The service was great no complaints there and overall a very cool vibe. I ordered my ribeye medium rare and when it came it was on the high side of medium. Pretty disappointed because they cut the steak... surely you can see the temp. Another restaurant week night. Getting the orders taken was a little slow but everything else went good. The restaurant has the feels of a nicer Wild West irish pub. For my appetizer I got the assorted deviled eggs. Every one was slightly different but they were all good. My favorite might have been the pickled okra because the okra added a nice flavor and texture to the egg. For my main, I got the hot fried quail. It was good but really messy. I feel that I liked the pickle biscuits the best out of the items in this plate. For desert, we got the Billy Brownie and Peach Empanadas. Visited Billy Can Can's during restaurant week and it definitely didn't disappoint. The tasting menu of $59 let us explore a nice selection of the meals they offer. The dueling sausages were so good and could've been a meal by themselves! I had the steak frites and they fries were definitely hand cut and home made. My steak was also cooked perfectly. Finally, we split two desserts- a Billy brownie and the peaches empanadas. While The empanada was good, the brownie was moist and decadent. I definitely enjoyed it a lot! Our server was great and very attentive and the place is a lot of fun. It has a mix mix of sophistication with western flair. Returned to Billy Can Can for Father's Day. Love the ambience around the bar area. Service by Jonathan was outstanding! Started with the venison tartare and a crispy oyster slider. Typically love the venison tartar, but it was a bit overly salty this time. The crispy oyster slider was good, but very filling with all the bread and also had a pretty decent spicy kick. For entrées, we had the prime ribeye, and the wild boar lasagna. Both were prepared beautifully. Unfortunately, the wild board lasagna did not strike either of our taste buds and we would not order it again. However, the prime ribeye was exceptional and cooked perfectly. I highly recommend it. We also had creamed spinach and hand cut fries to accompany. The creamed spinach was very good but very different from creamed spinach you might have other places; breadcrumbs on top and a bit of a spice kick. The fries were very good as usual. For dessert, we tried the peach cobbler empanadas. It comes with sour cream ice cream, which was delicious. The empanadas did not have much peach filling in them, which was a little disappointing. Billy Can Can was the first steakhouse I visited when I moved here a few years ago. I was blown away then and I continue to be blown away. The food here is nothing short of amazing! Everything from the drinks, to the appetizers, to the entrees are elevated with a unique twist. I honestly can't think of one thing i've had here that I didn't enjoy. If you asked me the one thing you must try here, it would be the table steak. The steak is always perfectly cooked. You can tell they use high quality steak cuts. Aside from Drakes, I haven't had a comparable steak in DFW. Even if you're not a steak person, you can still enjoy the dishes here. Servers are knowledgeable and friendly. I just love it here! First and foremost, our server was incredible! It was a busy night with Andrea Bocelli in town, but he was constantly checking up on us. We had the Smoked Fish Dip and Snapper Ceviche as appetizers. The dip was wonderful and the chips were surprisingly seasoned but they didn't gel together. The chips were overwhelming so the fish dip took a hit. The Ceviche was fresh with a nice bite but it was a tiny portion. The Billy Burger is no joke; it is massive, juicy, and flavorful. The fries were a plus as they were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The Prime NY Strip was on par with other steakhouses. Not my favorite but it was good enough. I really enjoyed the Brussel Sprouts. Make sure to book reservations as the restaurant was packed. The bar was lively, some of the staff members were eccentric, and the atmosphere is good for date night. read more

We came on TGE and both the bartender and the host were excellent vibes. The food is fuego. Everything is fresh and clean -- what you might expect with a seasonal rotating menu. We live in the neighborhood and are now questioning why we have never gone until now?! Our server, David, was the best. He talked to us about dishes, gave recommendations, and was never pushy about anything. We went with his recommendation on an appetizer and one of our entrees and are so glad we did. Was in the area so I stopped by Billy Can Can for a salad and a drink. The restaurant has outdoor seating and the inside is so nice. I wish I was hungrier because everything on menu looked fantastic. I had a work dinner here a Tuesday night and the place was pretty packed. I originally ordered the pork chop dinner but later told all of the fixings were changed. The new fixings were not good at all. I then ordered a well-done burger which came out pink and juicy which was very unpleasant. Unfortunately, I ended up not eating an entree at all. Our table had to wait forever for our appetizers and meals. Picking off of others I will say the cream spinach, brussels sprouts, and creamed spinach were delicious. I made a reservation on Resy because I tried calling and got no answer, but I knew there was a game at the arena. The restaurant is on a busy street, but I saw a valet nearby. I'm not sure how that works. The restaurant is close to the American Airlines Center, and I'm sure it gets busier if there are events, games, or concerts. Right when we walked in, we were greeted by the host, who was very warm and welcoming. It didn't take long to leave my seat. It was busy, but nothing crazy. It's pretty laid-back and gives chill vibes if you are coming with a group of friends to get food, have a good time, or chat. Not long after that, our server came to get the drinks order. We got a table by the window, which was excellent, and the food selection was pretty good, but we settled on Pumpkin ravioli because it sounded delicious. The chilly was also pretty good and flavorful. We also got the cornbread (My preference) about the cornbread. I liked mine more on the plain, but it was okay. The glass boot that the drink came in was adorable. We also got the sausages on the spicy side, the pickled and carrots, but I loved them more. I couldn't decide what I wanted, so I settled for the seafood salad, and let me say it was so flavorful, so good, I enjoyed it so much. I didn't need to add anything to it. Just delicious. Food was just mediocre. Pork chop was pretty flavorful and juicy but nothing mind-blowing. I didn't care for the greens with it. The arugula on top didn't make sense. The New York strip was flavorless and had the thinnest little stripe of sauce across it. Not enough to make up for the lack of flavor of the meat. I swear I've had a better steak at Texas Roadhouse. They cut the steak before bringing it to the table, letting all the juicy out on the plate rather than letting it rest and keeping it in the meat. The deviled eggs were a joke for an appetizer. The toppings were literally just one little piece of something, and there was only one of each variation, making it impossible to share any one. Cocktails were good. Cornbread was excellent. This is a fancy restaurant but with a casual vibe. The front end of the restaurant is bright, busy, and has a central bar; the back end has 5 booths in a dark candlelit speak-easy-feeling space that is much quieter. Regardless the food and service are INCREDIBLE. We had squash blossoms stuffed with lemon ricotta paired with fried green tomatoes and chow chow for an app (soooo bright and creamy delicious). The watermelon gazpacho was life changing! It had avocado and crab meat in it and was just wow. The fancy greens salad used a truffle champagne that was very flavorful. The Alaskan salmon in a brown butter sauce with capers was delicious. Lastly we finished with their banana pudding. My pork chop was great, but the potato side dish it came with was just ok - a little cold. My husband loved his steak frites. Our server, Brittney (my spelling might be wrong), was the absolute best. She took such great care of us and made it such a pleasurable experience. But let me tell yall about the food! Nothing makes me more happy than a Christmas Eve dinner at Billy Can Can. In what is now a family tradition for us, last night was no different. Had a fantastic time starting off with their famous egg nog (so good had to take 2 bottles home!) Appetizers were all on point, the venison tartare (quite possibly my favorite version of a tartare of all time), hamachi crudo. And for the holidays they had a crab bisque which was so hearty and warming and went perfectly well with a rainy Texas night. The Foie Torchon was just perfection with slices of apples and beautiful brioche to soak it up ahh!!! For entrees, we opted for the seafood bouillabaisse and the rack of venison. Well all the critics weren't wrong when they put this in Dallas Top Restaurants. Upscale atmosphere without the unpretentious service. Wait staff was really attentive yet not overbearing. Decor was reminiscent of a speakeasy. And everything was clean and well done. Food was absolutely delicious, however a few feedbacks for which i had to take 1 star: 1) the deviled eggs could use some more flavor. 2) I really REALLY did not like the Wagyu Beef Cheeks. Its technically some kind of roast beef and NOT what i was hoping for. Wish they had explained that when asked about it, and 3) drinks werent anything special although the names would lead you to believe otherwise. Any of the versions that contained some type of pickled veggie was my favorite. We also ordered the venison tartare which was amazing. My friend is gluten free so they brought us house made chips instead of bread and I actually preferred the chips. For my entree, I had the short rib. It was out of this world good!
