    Closing dinner

I recently had a closing dinner with our new bank in one of the private rooms at this nice steakhouse in downtown Dallas. Service was great, prompt and friendly. The wine selection was broad featuring the notable varietals and regions that one would expect from a good steakhouse. Steaks and sides were well-prepared and tasted great. I've recommended Brass Ram to many when considering a business meal and also for an elegant date night. Give them a try.

First time here and would definitely go back. Loved the vibe and decor. Felt upscale but comfortable. It is cold, so bring a jacket, although they gave us a blanket:) Waiter was very attentive and polite. Tried several things on the menu. 1836 is their take on an old fashioned, which is supposed to have Dr Pepper in it but I couldn't really taste it, still really good tho. Left Foot Special is basically a margarita but the midori gives it an interesting after taste. Wine by the glass selection seems ok, but ask to try them first. I don't think we actually got what was on the menu (according to the check). The burger was AMAZING! By far favorite part of the dinner. The seafood special was good, swordfish, but felt a little dry. My friend got the prime rib and she said it was really good but not sure she'd order it again. I can't vouch as I don't like prime rib, but my mom loves it so I'll take her to try! Get the onion rings on the side! Tried their take on bread pudding, it was pretty good but a little over powering in apple pie if you don't like apples. All in all, I recommend. I want to go back and try happy hour!

I went here for my birthday The main event was for the prime rib, but I think the best bite that we had was the appetizer with the thinly sliced New York strip and Ponzo sauce. The prime rib was really good but the horseradish sauce that it came with made it very delicious. The mac & cheese was very creamy and tasted very good. I love the steakhouse vibes going on sat in a very comfy booth and the service was great. My wife's fish that she got was not her favorite. She thought it was a little dry. I don't know if it's a fish, but it did need the sauce and the sauce was good. I ended the night with a little glass of Port wine. That was very delicious.

Brass Ram has such a rustic yet opulent vibe! We chose to valet the car as we heard that the self park options weren't so good, but the lot next to the building seemed to have plenty of spots? It's $7 but there's a $1.75 convenience fee. However, it's nice that you can call for your car before you leave. The restaurant is on the second floor, and the hostesses are so friendly, they opened the door for us and were so understanding about us being a little late (valet was parking another car). We got a nice wide booth that could easily fit 4 (maybe even 6) people. Our waiter was super knowledgeable and guided us on the nightly specials and kept in mind my allergies. He recommended the pop's cut for prime rib which is super shareable amongst 2, maybe even 3 people. We ordered 2 sides as he recommended as well because the portion sizes were just right for us two. We also ordered the carpaccio app which was amazing and so delicious. We didn't end up finishing all of the prime rib, and we got extra au jus to take home with us! I'm a little disappointed that they didn't do anything special for my husband's birthday but the whole experience was pretty nice.

The Brass Ram in Dallas, Texas, is a little gem perched on the 2nd floor downtown. From the moment I walked in, I loved the restaurant's chic but nostalgic atmosphere. There is memorabilia everywhere. The highlight of my meal was the wedge salad with a southwestern ranch dressing twist--it was simply amazing! Like a good pescatarian I am, I also tried the crab cake, and let me tell you, there's no filler in this puppy! It was packed with crab meat, perfectly seasoned, and pan seared. Loved it!

    Wedge Salad is top notch.

The service and the food were outstanding. We were greeted and seated quickly (we had a reservation through OpenTable)), and the general manager came over and said hello. Our waiter was attentive but not bothersome, and offered information on a number of specials as well as some details on the menu. The peach and buratta salad special was light and delicious and truly exceptional. The wedge salad is one of the best I have had. We both got prime rib, the smaller cut and the gentleman cut. The meat was cooked perfectly and very flavorful, accompanied with a popover and horseradish sauce with au jus. Great food accompanied with great service really made this dinner special.

From the moment we took the elevator up, I enjoyed the vibes. The host was welcoming when we arrived and chatted as we walked to our seats. It wasn't crowded for dinner on Tuesday night, which was nice. The appetizers were so good, and the meatballs were just delicious. Our server, Sarah (sorry if I got their name wrong), was fantastic and attentive. She also gave us suggestions off the menu. And everything we got was just delicious We did get the Caesar salad with no croutons But other than that, everything we ordered was as is. We enjoyed it so much that we even got gift cards, but you do have to pay separately for them We did sit in a corner booth closer to the back after the bar. We did Uber, so I'm not sure about parking

I can't say more wonderful things about this restaurant. The service is impeccable. Food was incredible. Drinks were perfect. We had one of the best date nights we have had in a long time and can't wait to come back!

Whoa, another intoxicating evening at Brass Ram. Attentive service. Seductive setting. Ideal Dirty Martinis. Impressive wine list. On this visit, amazing bites of "Coconut Shrimp" & "Crab Cake". Luscious and decadent was "The Big Kebab" of lobster, scallop, king crab, and, shrimp. And, I dub thee, the King of "Prime Rib" in Big D! CHEERS!

A table for two that shared all!

Classic Steakhouse Favorites in a comfortable yet elegant setting. Service was excellent. Wine list was great. Prime rib and loaded baked potatoes were perfection. I'd be a regular if I lived here! This is the meal I crave when in Texas

I was blown away by this restaurant. This restaurant has been on my list of restaurants to try for a few months now. And I finally got to try it for a friends birthday. We made reservations a couple days in advance, and even then there were limited slots available. we came in a little early to have a couple of drinks at the bar. When our table was ready, we were guided there by a friendly and attentive host. The highlight of our visit, and my favorite was the prime rib. It's cooked perfectly. A lot of other places will overcook a prime rib, but not the brass ram au jus and horseradish cream sauce was phenomenal the Yorkshire pudding paired perfectly with the prime rib. And the prime rib basically melted in your mouth. We had the espresso, chocolate mousse and carrot cake for dessert. Even shared amongst four people, it was way too much. Can't wait to come back and try out some other items on the menu.

Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

Knowledgeable about the menu & great recommendations. Kev was a joy to have as our server. The food is amazing & love the ambiance of the restaurant. My only complaint...we came in early Saturday prior to Stars game. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked to wait. Waited maybe 5-10mins. No biggie, A lot of open tables were available for immediate sit down. Again that wasn't a big deal. I had asked for a booth & wanted to sit in front room. The hostess said no a problem. She handed us off to a younger hostess and she took us to a table. I told her I had requested a booth. In the front room only 3 tables were occupied. I pointed out the booth and she said that's for party of 6. However, we could have the 1/2 table/booth. Made absolutely no sense because that was for a party of 6 as well. I made this comment & she just stared at me without saying a word. I didn't want to seem difficult and took the table as she just walked away. Kev was confused as we were. No good communication skills. It was an awkward encounter. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & never was whole time there. Kev wasn't sure why she didn't move us a requested & was puzzled himself. However i apologized to him & explained I wasn't trying to be difficult, but prefer booth sitting and most times we will wait for one. We left at 1:45p and restaurant was no busier than when we arrived. Reservation/Booth or not! I guess saying all of this, your front staff need to have more people skills when dealing with your customers. They are the face and first point of contact. Again Kev was amazing & food was outstanding!

We started off with a pitcher of mimosa and the duck taquitos. I'm usually not a fan duck however I was told to give it a try. If you hadn't told me it was duck, I probably would have thought it was chicken. The mimosa was a build your own, it came with 3 juices - orange, pineapple and cranberry - and you got to pour as much or as little juice as you wanted. Between the two of us, we each got about 3 glasses. I got the French toast, which tasted like a deep fried donut, in a good way. The outside was crunchy, the inside still had the pillow custard texture. However in my opinion it needed more of the apple pecan slaw especially if you weren't trying to drown them in syrup. My friend had the chilequillas which she really enjoyed but did mention a few times that it was a little spicy. We ended the meal with dessert which was rich and luscious but oh so delicious. It was a cholesterol mouse that was covered in a hazelnut chocolate shell with a raspberry sauce. Overall a great time was had & I'd gladly go back to try more.
