Always a fun happy time at Parigi. Live sitting on the patio this time. The waitstaff is always amazing and welcoming. Consistent and the food is amazing.

Planned to go to Parigi for a birthday celebration, but the reservation never went through. We called to confirm that day for Saturday night and they did not have the reservation. Five minutes later they called back with a cancellation so we were able to get in and had a great dinner and celebration. I had the classic Jacob burger with a Caesar salad, which was very good. Others raved about the French onion soup. We also had the chicken au Poivre and a couple of orders of the gnocchi. Everyone loved their meal. The dining room was small, but well controlled and was not noisy despite its size. Service was great and I had an amazing view of the small kitchen watching the magic happen.

Loved loved loved it. Went for the first time this weekend. Food was absolutely delicious. One of the best wedges in Dallas because of the amazing dressing. The pasta was so fresh and clearly homemade, we got the bolognese. The chicken was super juicy and flavorful. Our server was great. I cannot wait to go back and try more!

I have wanted to try this place for so many years and with no good reason why it took so long. From the ambience to the service and food, the experience was incredible. There's a very good reason why this establishment has made it through the years in an ever changing and shifting culinary scene in Dallas.

We tried Parigi's for the first time from a recommendation. Well it was a great Recommendation! We walked into this beautiful restaurant and was greeted by many friendly people. Kayla was our waitress and boy was she GREAT! She welcomed us to the restaurant and made several suggestions and explained every item on the menu that she recommended. It was great to have someone like Kayla for she made us feel welcomed and set the tone for a great lunch. Bread to the table was so good !! I had Chicken Risotto and it was perfect meal. Wife had Lobster knuckle sandwich which was very good as well . We enjoyed our meal then Kayla made several suggestions for desert and we settled on the buttermilk pie!!!!! WOW what a way to end the meal it was WONDERFUL!! Thanks Kayla and staff for making our Saturday lunch a great experience!!!!!

Cute little place on Oak Lawn that has indoor and outdoor dining. I ordered the burger with a salad and it was excellent. The Cesar salad is one of the better Cesar salads I have had. The burger was delicious. It was cooked exactly as requested and it tasted amazing. For me, the quality of the bread bun is almost as important as the burger and I really liked the bread here. The server was awesome and came around to check enough but not too often which was perfect. I would go back.

Because yesterday was also Anthony Bourdain day, we celebrated by trying a food we had never tried before: Steak Tartare! Oh. My. God. It was luscious and divine. We enjoyed the Shrimp St. Martin-poached shrimp in a delectable beurre-blanc sauce. Of course, we had to share a bowl of my love language: Champagne and Brie Soup. There aren't words for the moment you sip your first taste. Your eyes roll into the back of your head as you savor the explosion of flavor. For entrees, I had the Sole Meunière. Seared perfectly in butter and the only place outside of France that has done this fish justice. James had the Scallops and Pork Belly. It was a new spin on surf and turf. Judging by how little he spoke to me during his meal, I am assuming it was fabulous. He did give me a bite and the scallop was prepared perfectly and was probably the best scallop that I've had in DFW. The restaurant sent us over 2 glasses of house-made bourbon crème for our anniversary. It was similar to Baileys, but on steroids. For dessert, we walked back over to the bar for after dinner drinks. James enjoyed a glass of Abelour Scotch neat. It's his favorite as it's not peaty at all. Jamie, the bartender, made me the best espresso martini that I've ever had! Fresh espresso mixed with espresso liqueur, reposado tequila and bourbon cream. She hit the top with flame to settle the bubbles in order to add espresso beans. Honestly, it was the best meal that I've had outside of France.

The cocktail menu is diverse and unique. I took our excellent server's (Kayla) recommendation and had the Bryan St Martini, which is a gin-based martini with a a lemon stuffed olive topped with black caviar. My wife had the Spiced Pear 75, which she loved. Since they are cuisine francaise, our table started with the escargot bourguignon, which has the typical six snails, but instead of butter+garlic+herbs, they were in a cream sauce and then topped with more escargot on top! The complimentary bread (and butter) served when we sat down were perfect to top with escargot and dip into the cream sauce. Our dining friends order the beet carpacio salad and we had the champagne-brie soup. After one spponful, I told Kayla that dish alone is worth another visit. My wife had the duck a l'orange and I had chicken roulade. For dessert, we split a bananas foster souffle, which requires 20 minutes prep time, which Kayla perfectly timed after we ordered when our entrees came. Overall, great food, GREAT service and a truly unique vibe!

The good: - Not busy - Server Caleb is quite pleasant - Scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes were tasty - Yogurt Parfait was tasty but way too big. It was served in a large bowl. Way overkill. The not so great: - My wife's meal took over an hour to come out. Ordered just after 10 am and came out at 11:08 am - The Croque Madam needs to be removed from the menu. A French person would have been horrified at this dish In summary over three meals in the last 30 days, the food is hit and miss and the Kitchen is very slow. I love the location but I'm not sure we'll come back to eat at Toussaint. ---------- We mostly enjoyed our meals here. This review is for two visits that we've made here in the last 30 days. Our first visit here was on May 9, following an afternoon concert up the block at the Majestic Theatre. We popped in here about 5:30 pm and we shared a meal. They were able to do a kitchen split of the French dip meal. It was really tasty. The bartender worked the bar and the entire dining room. Must have been short handed that night but he did great. This weekend (May 29), we ended up staying at the Saint Elm Hotel which occupies the same building. We ended up at the Toussaint for dinner one night. We each had the French Onion Soup and we shared the Braised Short Rib dinner. The French Onion Soup was very good. It's in my top 3 of all time! The Braised Short Rib dinner - kitchen split, came out and presented great. Unfortunately, it was not served hot. It was barely warm. We sent it back for reheating. It came back out about 15 minutes later. The mashed potatoes, mushroom and gravy were warm. The short rib was not. We ate it cool anyway as we had a show to get to and I didn't really want to send it back again. That said, the potatoes, mushrooms and gravy had great flavor. The above all said for this dinner - I'd still come back to try other dinner dishes. Not sure my wife would agree.

The decor is classic and doesn't have much fanfare which I think fits the French vibe. We sat outside on the patio and even though it was scorching outside, because of the tent-style covering and air conditioning the place was kept cool. The patio is dog friendly as well. When we got there the host was with us immediately and found us a table. I'm thinking they might've also been a manager because they were walking throughout the restaurant checking on everyone even though they weren't too busy. Really liked how diligent they were. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about our server. He was very nice and gave good recommendations when asked, but we barely saw the guy throughout our meal. The host/manager that was there came more than once to check on us and bring us anything we needed, but if he wasn't there I think we wouldn't have had anyone else come up to us besides taking the orders, dropping them off, and bringing us the check (which we had to hunt them down for). The food itself was really good thankfully. The duck was delicious and my partner loved his croque madame! I had a bite of his and immediately got jealous because I had been craving brunch and his dish fit that theme perfectly, unlike mine. I left nothing on my plate whereas he couldn't finish his because it was too much heavy food for him. We also got the truffle deviled eggs as a starter and they had great flavor, though the filling was a little dry for my taste. Nothing wrong with it since it was just a matter of personal preference. The food has always been great and the experience was something we looked forward to. That's why we chose to celebrate an early Valentine's Day here -- to avoid the crazy rush and the preset menu. But this time? Completely different experience. We got seated right away because of our reservation, which was great. It took a few minutes for the waiter to come by -- no big deal. I ordered an Old Fashioned and honestly... the bartender needs some help. It came out full of crushed ice and tasted watered down. I sent it back, and the second one was basically the same drink with more whiskey thrown in. At that point, I just let it go. Then things just kept going downhill. After about 20 minutes, we realized we hadn't gotten any bread. We asked the waiter and he said he'd check. Another 10 minutes go by and he comes back saying, "Still no bread," and drops off the wrong appetizer -- we had only ordered a salad. He takes it back, and it's another 15 minutes before our actual salad shows up. Still no bread. At one point, we could literally see him arguing with someone in the back about why we didn't get bread yet. Not exactly something you want to watch during a date night. The food, when it finally came out, was delicious. No complaints there. But it took forever. By the time we were eating, it was about 45 minutes until closing... and we had gotten there two hours earlier. Then comes the payment situation. The waiter brings the check back and casually tells me I gave him two credit cards and he "just picked the brighter one." I look down and he had handed me someone else's credit card while mine was still sitting in the book. That's not a small mistake. Overall, it just felt unorganized and sloppy this time. I don't know if they're short staffed or just getting too busy for their own good, but it was disappointing, especially for a place we've genuinely enjoyed in the past. Hoping it was just an off night... but it definitely made us think twice about coming back.
