Amazing experience! There was a mixup with resy and we booked a Christmas tea service for a day which they actually didn't do the service on. We were really bummed out, but as soon as we spoke to Amber (the general manager) she went above and beyond to remedy the situation. We made our on little tea (ordered apps and champagne) and she was even able to serve us the tea that they would have served during the tea service. She truly went above and beyond, we couldn't have been treated better. Food wise, we got the whipped ricotta, caviar deviled eggs, tuna coronets, tomato soup, and we split the lobster roll, and had 2 deserts ( I can't recall their names). EVERYTHING was amazing, like truly very delicious, but my personal favorites were the tomato soup (it had a Parmesan foam and some little crispies on top) and the tuna coronets. Our waiter, Dorian, was also very attentive and very helpful! He definitely added to our wonderful experience. All in all, this was one of the most above and beyond experiences I've ever had at a restaurant, especially when the fault wasn't even their own (it was because of resy). read more

Super cute place. My girlfriend and I came here for lunch on a weekday. Loved the decor inside, service was decent, the menu had a great selection, we ordered a few appetizers and had entrees. Everything was pleasantly delicious. The chicken appetizer seemed so generic; however it was very delicious. Cooked perfectly and the flavors were great. I had tea time this afternoon with my husband for Mother's Day and it was top notch! The dining room is small so the service is on point here. We had 3 courses of small bites paired with exotic teas and a bottle of champagne. Every course was amazing and very flavorful. We visited London this year and visited the tea room at the Ritz and this experience was on par. Our server was very knowledgeable of each course as well. First of all, the restaurant is beautiful with a great view of Dallas. I never go downtown, but this makes me actually want to go. The dining room was beautiful as well. I got the tea mocktail and it was so good, would absolutely recommend. Compliments of the chef we were sent earl grey tea cakes, which were also amazing. We also got the whipped ricotta with sourdough. For the second course we had the lobster Cobb salad and the steak and eggs. I cannot tell you enough how great they both were. The Cobb salad was fresh but with a ton of lobster which was not at all overpowered by dressing, it was perfect. The steak and eggs had roe and was over fried rice. It was perfectly cooked. The service was great and our waiter and busser were extremely attentive. A lot of times rooftop like this attracts the Instagram food posting crowd, but the food is so so and overpriced. That was certainly not at all the case here. It is definitely Instagram worthy, but the quality of food was top notch. I can't believe this place was not packed on a Saturday. We started with the crudo and crispy chicken bites. The crudo was absolutely refreshing. It was salmon, and a great portion. I also really loved the texture of the jicama added to it! I would have loved a little more salt, but it was good! The crispy chicken bites and aioli were average, and could have used a little more seasoning. The lime saved the dish. I enjoyed the crunch on the chicken though. I normally would knock a start off for seasoning, but the rest of the dishes made up for this THE WAGYU SANDWICH, WHEW. The milk bread, the spicy mayo I wanted to enjoy this forever. I didn't want it to end. This is something I want to come back for, but also know I need to try other dishes lol the wagyu is soft and buttery. It's perfectly cooked. My man got the lobster roll and tomato soup, and he didn't talk to me. He cleared his plate. He did mention that he's had better lobster rolls, but he really enjoyed it. He loved the tomato soup. For drinks - I got the Paloma and a glass of Pinot Miracle recommended and I enjoyed them both. Now dessert...cleared the plate. I wish I could tell you the name, but all I can tell you is, they switch this dessert out so it's not here to stay, but it's so good it's a cornbread cake with ice cream, a yummy compote, and popcorn!! The interior is clean, well-maintained, and the staff has harnessed the art of customer service. The complimentary valet was also nice when I visited. Unfortunately, the food is below average and doesn't match the price they charge. We started off the bread & butter, followed with deviled eggs, and ended with the chicken bites. The appetizers were great which compensated for the under-delivered main dishes. I ordered the breakfast sandwich which was disappointing; the eggs lacked flavor and had a weird spongy texture. No matter how many times I tug into it- the sandwich just didn't sit well with me. My friend got the steak and eggs which was "infused" with nothing special. The rice was disappointing- super sweet- and the steak meh. The majority of the food was left on the plate. We did appreciate our server who was superb and acknowledged us often. It kind of reminds me of French cooking which some people like if you've had it authentically -- you know the prior ingredients are high quality food and butter but no seasoning. Our first date was at Mirador! And it was the perfect choice. We chose to be seated at the balcony. The weather favoured us and the view was perfect. Our server was very knowledgeable. She suggested me a great wine according to the choices I wanted. We ordered okra and devilled eggs for appetizers. We both adore when okra is in the menu. They had perfectly baked it. The caviar in the eggs gave a bit if texture and flavour to the dish. I forgot the name of the entrees but I got the fish and my date ordered the pork. We ending up tasting each other's food , I liked his and he liked mine . So we ended up exchanging our plates. Which we didn't mind at all. I love love the idea of this place. I walk by everyday and never quite knew what it was. Finally walked in yesterday at lunch time and found this super cool luxury boutique. As I walked around forty five ten everyone was so welcoming and helpful. I smelled food and they directed me to the restaurant. The attractions on the way to the top floor were worth the walk... I was seated immediately. Great bright space. Huge windows. Casual yet really avant-garde. Service was slow to start but it picked up. The servers were personable. And attentive. They even have models who walk around the restaurant so you can view the clothes while u eat. It's not annoyingly in your face...yet very subtle... I had the caviar deviled eggs, they were great. The chicken bites had some sort of crumb coating but it was burnt and dried. I tasted more of the burned taste than I did the chicken coating. Next I had the chocolate mousse cake. It was definitely a work of art. It had splatter paint on top which was unexpected and gorgeous. Even with all the glitches, I will come again. We celebrated my birthday at Mirador with friends. We felt so special being escorted through the bottom floor department store, up the elevator, and to our table. The restaurant has a good amount of room between tables so you can talk without disturbance. The decor is mod and bright in colors, but dim lit enough to enjoy your time in the dining room. We started with fabulous cocktails and wine while we enjoyed the most incredible shrimp and grits I've ever eaten. We all liked our dishes, although my salmon was well undercooked at rare to medium rare, but I did not want to cause a fuss and just ate the edges. The sweet potato slices served with my salmon were absolutely divine! Wow I would order those sweet chunks again in a heartbeat. We ordered one of each dessert available that evening because... birthday! The blueberry tart was handsdown the favorite at our table. The service was spot on and overall it was a lovely evening at Mirador. Took my husband to Mirador for on a Friday evening for his birthday. We loved this place! It's located on the top floor of a high-end department store setting. We made reservations, but it's probably not needed as it was pretty empty at opening (around 6 PM). We loved the light, airy ambiance with all the large windows. We enjoyed surrounding views of Downtown Dallas (including the cantilevered pool that hangs over Main Street at the Joule Hotel!) The food portions were on the smaller size, but they were tasty and felt like high-quality ingredients. We also ordered two desserts -- the Lemon Pavlova (so unique! Would return just to eat this) and the Blueberry Tart (husband didn't leave a crumb). This restaurant is amazing! The food and view do not disappoint. We went on a Friday and it wasn't packed, so I'm not sure if reservations are needed. We were able to get a table outside and we had a great view of downtown. This was the perfect spot to bring my family who was visiting Dallas. It's a bit pricey but you're a paying for really good food, a good view and a beautiful ambience. I would definitely come back! Probably one of my favorite spots in Dallas. And you need to try the shrimp and grits! That was probably my favorite! The service was super friendly as well. If you are going after 6pm the entrance is a bit tricky. The best thing we ate at Mirador was dessert! There was a chocolate raspberry tart that was DELECTABLE. I don't even like fruit and chocolate but I'd eat that over and over again. Also, the service during our visit was excellent. We were seated promptly even though we were super early for our reservation AND they accommodated our request to be moved out to the balcony after we were seated. The view is beautiful. I often visit downtown Dalla as a business, but this was my first time to use this restaurant. Great place to have business dinner or a dinner with your precious ones. First of all, taste of dishes were so nice. Well balanced with salty and sweety. It's not normal American foods. I love so much. Volume of dishes were a little bit small. So for some Americans it would be not enough. Second, atmosphere was great. The owner of this restaurant is the same as boutiques and "giant eye" sculpture. Interior and atmosphere were stylish and sophisticated. Price is not cheap, but I think it is reasonable taking quality and atmosphere into consideration. A nice dinner experience overall. My date and I shared the deviled eggs and tuna crudo. Both were pretty good, but I've had better. The eggs seemed to be missing a certain zing, and the tuna crudo was slightly on the fishy side. My entree was the salmon, and it's probably one of the best I've had in recent memory. It was cooked to perfection...slightly pink on the inside with a crispy skin. My date had the crispy duck. I had a taste and, though it was good, I didn't love it. I like skin and fat with my duck, and this duck was lean and clean. Just a matter of preference, I guess. The highlights of our night at Mirador didn't involve food. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Large windows really seemed to bring the city into the dinner experience. And after dinner, we took photos in the outside patio area. Miraaaaaaaaaaaaador. You are a gem. Boyfriend and I planned our Valentine's day date for the day after so it wouldn't be as crowded, but oh my lawd you guys are so intimate and delicious. The restaurant is located on the fourth floor of forty-five-ten building, which has its own courtyard and right next to the infamous giant eyeball. Once we went up the elevator to the restaurant, we got seated per our reservation. The restaurant has so many floor to ceiling windows that makes me want to come back in the summer daytime to sit and overlook downtown, but that'll be for next time hehe. Once we got seated, we ordered the caviar deviled eggs, cod cake, whipped ricotta toast and chicken paillard to share. The eggs were so good! We were really curious about the caviar and realized it added the right amount of bite to an ordinary classic. The whipped ricotta came on a separate plate from toasted bread and it was so rich and made me wonder if I could make it myself, but there are so many elements that would be difficult to recreate. Cod cake was great with a nice texture. They were thoughtful enough to split our chicken on two plates, and omg I've never had chicken so moist and tender as this paillard. I kept thinking it would be under-cooked but it was P E R F E C T. We couldn't leave dinner without some dessert and got the lemon pavlova. I've never had anything like this and the raspberry sorbet on the side added another element. You're gonna have to order it to see what's inside! My boyfriend and I came to Mirador for the first time to check out their holiday brunch menu and it was a fantastic experience! The space is very open and well-decorated. It also has a great view of downtown, overlooking the Giant Eye. The food and cocktails are spectacular. I got the chicken hash, which was really good! It was light but filling at the same time, without leaving you feeling heavy and gross. I definitely want to come back for dinner to try their other items. Our server was Osama and he was sweet enough to give us to some great recommendations. Definitely ask for him if you ever come to Mirador, as his positive attitude will really complete your experience. I had two glasses of wine, which were at the proper temperature and in the right vessels. Check. There are many different options and this menu will satisfy any taste. I had their Nantucket scallop crudo with uni and wow. It was so delicate and delicious. Somehow they knew I was craving uni. Their burger is petit but had good flavor and had that juiciness which I love. The star of the show though was the lobster roll. If you get nothing else, get this. The lobster was fantastic but that bread was phenomenal and buttery and gooey. It will literally melt in your mouth. I had their apple pie dessert and it was a substantial little pie. My sister and I literally got quiet and caught ourselves saying, "yuuuum" at the same time, LOL! My fresh orecchiette was the perfect portion and I loved that they were able to make it spicy for me. Second visit ranks a 5 again. Lace was a fantastic server remembering what a couple ordered when they were there last weekend and made fantastic wine suggestions. Casey also took great care of us.
