Love Bar W! Had a blast here for the Mexico vs. Ecuador game! We did show up maybe 1.5ish hours before the game and the whole place was packed, but I didn't mind sticking around even in the heat because they have a very nicely shaded outdoor patio area. This is a great spot to watch any of the FIFA games-- also came back here for the Norway game yesterday and had just as good of a time like the last. They have TVs everywhere inside (both floors) and a huge TV outside as well. The restrooms are clean. They have a lot so that helps especially when it's there's a lot of people-- hate going to places with ONE bathroom. A bunch of seating too- lots of high tops upstairs/downstairs, bunch of tables outside & they have a lot of extra chairs. Service is great. Everyone always checks in to ask how everything's going and drinks/ food don't take too long to come out. I do LOVE their flatbreads. I've tried several flatbreads and they are all super tasty and not too expensive. I did appreciate that when Mexico scored during that first game, the servers brought out a bunch of shots free for everyone to celebrate! I thought that was a nice touch since other bars I have been to in the area are not as thoughtful or organized enough to host a lot of people during the World Cup! Sweet touch. We showed up early on a Sunday specifically because they said they'd play our team's game. Only three games were on that day, and when we got there, NBC was already up on the big screen from an earlier game. They told us it was first come, first served and promised NBC would stay on the big screen for our game since we got there early. Then it all changed. The waiter (the one who does TikTok content) told us another group had tipped $200 and the staff "weren't worried about money." Later the manager came over and said he was still deciding, but mentioned a $400 tip on the table. So we show up early, follow the first-come-first-served rule we were told about, get promised NBC would stay on for us, and then watch it all fall apart because someone else waved more cash around. If you tell customers a policy, stick to it no matter what the other guy tips. Not a place I'd go back to or recommend. read more

My husband and I have visited Bar W twice now and enjoyed it a lot! The patio is perfect for good weather and to watch a game on the big screen. The music was a little loud so hopefully they turn it down just a little bit and then it'd be perfect! We enjoyed our food especially the margarita flat bread, pizza rolls, and Caesar salad. A fairly new bar in the downtown area, been open a few months just in time for football season. My college team gathers here for the games and I haven't been able to make it until yesterday! What a time we had! The service was great, constantly had servers coming around checking on us, food came out quickly and hot. I would agree with some other reviews about pricing though, would be great if they had prices for the drinks on the menu. Just to give you an idea, as otherwise the bill can add up very quickly. Like the draft beer I got was $7 but the canned seltzer I got was $9 which I thought was interesting. Loved that they hyped us up during the game with some free shots! They have a pretty small menu, but I am not sure if that's just the game day menu to keep things easier in the kitchen or their everyday menu, but it worked for me, as I just needed a little bite to eat. I settled on the pepperoni hot honey flatbread. It was delicious and not too spicy like some of the hot honey dishes I've had before. They also have a full bar so can order whatever you'd like. They have a patio area with a big screen TV, looks like they may have food trucks at times as well. Very spacious place with TVs everywhere. I really wanted to like this place. I've heard great things, and I was/am a loyal customer of Stoneleigh P (the previous bar here). I asked for 2 martinis for my friend and I. One vodka martini, one gin martini. The bartender seemed immediately annoyed that I didn't just order a beer. I tried to make conversation and he would not even make eye contact. Then, the check was for $52, That's 2 martinis at a "dive" bar. I'm disappointed because the atmosphere was great. Everything else was not. Such a fun sports bar to watch your favorite sports! The atmosphere is great, with different varieties of watching experiences. There are large projectors with stadium-like seating, lawn chairs, or the upstairs is classic bar seating. We ordered from the bar, the service was fast and attentive! but we wanted to sit outside because of the ambiance and the HUGEEE tv that was playing college football, so the bartender took told us to close out and a server would be with us outside. So we waited...and waited. They walked around us literally. Taking every new table that came in but not asking us ONCE if we need assistance or want to order any food. I respect that they did a great job converting the previous establishment that occupied this location. I have intentionally given them multiple chances to rectify a major issue, since I stay every week at The Stoneleigh across the street....whether at the bar, inside at a table or outside, the service is absolutely horrendous. If you find it necessary to go to an establishment where you are paying for food and drinks and enjoy being treated like garbage, this is the place for you.
